Needing a change of scene, Griffin Burke moves from Brisbane to Coolum Beach to start a new job. The beautiful white sand, aqua-coloured ocean, blue skies, and summer breezes are everything he longs for. What he finds is a mud-covered dog, lost and hungry, with a nametag and a phone number.Dane Hughes is stuck in Surfers Paradise at a week-long work conference when he gets a phone call from his … from his distraught mother. His dog, his fur baby, Wicket, has run away. Unable to leave and feeling helpless and miserable, he gets a text from a guy. “I think I found your dog…”
Griffin and Dane start talking, and Griffin agrees to look after Wicket until Dane can collect him. With a few days left before his new job starts, Griffin takes Wicket on some coastal adventures and sends Dane photos of their fun, and so the start of something new and kind of wonderful begins.
Griffin might have moved to Coolum in search of a new life, but what he finds is so much more. What he gets to keep just might take some four-legged help.

IF you need a book that is pure fluff and love this is THAT book!! I spent more time waiting for the angsty part to happen that when it never did I had to laugh at myself and reread the book all over knowing it was nothing but love and fun. I read this book on a regular basis (at least once a week) to just have a little while of pure love and fluff to escape to. This book is brilliant and I adore it with all my heart!
FOUR FLUFFY & ACHINGLY SWEET STARS!!!
For all the complaining I did about starting this book because I didn’t want a sad book especially a sad one that involved a puppy this book was PERFECTION!! For my group I had to read a book with a dog on the cover and anything sad with animals is a hard pass for me. I don’t care if it is a good story that ends well or if it was sad but totally worth it. Nope, nope and NOPE! Finders Keepers was not any of that, it was absolutely adorable in every way.
This book is one of those that you devour immediately. There was no angst, drama, heartache or anything that would make you feel anything but complete and sheer joy. Griffin and Dane were wonderful MC’s but Wicket was the real star of the show. All the supporting characters were just as wonderful especially Griffin’s land lady she was a hoot! I can’t really complain about this book, I just won’t. Nothing like a little love, a puppy and some pot brownies cannot fix.
Very cute and sweet book. Joel Leslie was phenomenal on the narration per usual as well. So the meeting between the MCs was orchestrated by Wicket, a very sweet dog. Griffin immediately liked him and was able to then watch him for Dane while he was at a conference. Then they develop feelings for each other. No angst or miscommunications just a sweet read. Bonus points for Wicket!!! Such a precious dog.
Finders Keepers is one of the fluffiest, cutest contemporary romance stories I’ve read this year. Griffin and Dane are the sweetest couple who have an adorable meet-cute when Griffin rescues Dane’s lost dog. Their connection is instant and they don’t even attempt to fight their attraction. The plot focuses on the two characters and their developing relationship. There’s very low angst and the happy ending is incredibly happy and adorable.
I can’t express how much I loved this book. It was the perfect read if you want something that will put a huge smile on your face.
The audiobook is narrated by Joel Leslie who has a wonderful voice. I really enjoyed his narration and found his performance a perfect fit for the story. The audiobook production was well done and extremely enjoyable to listen. I highly recommend.
So sweet! No angst, no drama, just a really delightful story about 2 adorable guys and one cute and cuddly pup! That last chapter was EVERYTHING!
Just about anything this author writes is worth reading.
