I found myself imagining, what would I do in that situation? Would I give up or survive? The descriptions of the scenarios seem so real I was also asking myself, what if it was my daughter this happened to?
When your asking yourself questions and not just reading a story, pondering scenarios and all the what ifs that’s a great book.
Lisa Gardner does a fantastic job of portraying the psychology of a woman taken captive, so the reader can truly understand why she wouldn’t escape when the opportunity presents itself. She also makes the villains quite three-dimensional, not just “born evil” killers. Quite a page-turner!
Reading a Lisa Gardner book is like taking a master class in thriller writing. She inhabits character fully and plots brilliantly, all the while relentlessly turns the screws of suspense. Her pacing is simply flawless. FIND HER is harrowing, gripping, and unputdownable.
‘Find Her’ is the first book I read by Lisa Gardner and when I bought it I didn’t know it was part of a huge series! What I do know is…
I really liked this novel, and I loved the character of Flora Dane. ‘Find Her’ definitely lit a fire in me for the series and also Lisa Gardners’ books in general. Fast-paced, realistic, descriptive, touching, and smart. This novel can stand alone, and is an exciting, dark, thrill ride, that left me craving the next part of the series: ‘ Look For Her’.
Half way through with this one, but what a page-turner. Really enjoying this book. Need to read more by this author.
Great writing and interesting plot. Dark and haunting.
I love this author so much – can’t wait for her next book to come out!

I really enjoyed this book. It had me on the edge of my seat in parts. I probably could have finished in a day if I didn’t have to adult! I highly recommend this book.
I’ve pretty much read everything Lisa Gardner has written and I just love her writing style, the characters, and the story lines. She’s awesome!!
This story is slow regarding the action. However, the plot is contains enough mystery and suspense to keep you reading. The dialogue jumps from the victim in the story to the detective trying to find her. The theme is a little on the psychological dark side, but a good read none-the-less. Very different and surprising ending.
I love this book! I recommend it to everyone I know. The characters stay with you for a very long time as well.
Another great Lisa Gardner read. Detective D. D. Warren is back on the case of a murder of a local bartender. The case becomes stranger as the murder is connected to Flora, a survivor of a kidnapping seven years before. Is Flora the victim or a vigilante? Before that question can be answered, Flora is missing again. This is a fast paced thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat!
This book got me out of my comfort zone – claustrophobic!
I love thesebooks. Have read all, but the latest. Always well written exciting, and informative.
Addicted to Lisa Gardner’s DD Warren and Flora Dane.
Creepy and scary in the best possible ways! This book got me hooked right from the very beginning. I kept having to “hush” my husband because he was trying to talk to me during the last third of the book and I couldn’t stop reading.
To repetitive
What a wild ride! Again, Gardner kept me on the edge of my seat, wanting to know what happened next to D.D. and Flora. Breathtaking.
Lisa Gardner spills amazing tales. Her characters are wonderful. Her plots are good and challenging. Definitely not the run of the mill story line.
This book kept my interest all the way through; liked the twists & turns! Absolutely loved the last scene of the book! Brought tears to my eyes. Will be reading more is Lisa’s books for sure!
