I thoroughly enjoyed the characters that are well developed and engaging. The storyline from beginning to the end.

Ben and Kate have an awkward first meeting, and every time thereafter as well. Ben’s a local who’s friendly and helpful to all, especially newcomers, but won’t accept help for himself. Kate’s parents have both passed, and her city friends turn out to be not really her friends at all. She is still trying to pull out of depression that has plagued her since her mother’s death, and is quite reserved in her interactions with others. She quits her job and moves to a small town to take care of the grandmother she doesn’t know. When she opens up to Alma, they begin to build a real relationship. And then she loosens up and begins to make real friends. This book was such a pleasure to read. I expected a nice romance; instead, I got a terrific story with people I grew to care about. The characters were so real and relateable, even that snake Frank. This is my first read from this author – won’t be the last!

I didn’t like Kate at first until I realized she put up walls and was defensive because she had been used and put down for her weight. Ben is a do-gooder who wants to help everyone, but he doesn’t accept help in return. I thought it was a double standard that he would rather lose his farm to the jerk he borrowed money from than accept financial help from Kate. This was a sexy Australian romance with steamy scenes, funny, and emotional moments.
Book three in the Alpine Valleys series a well written story with a very good storyline. This story is about Kate Bloomington and Ben McTavish who is called Saint McT because he helps everyone. But what happens now that he needs help? Read this story and find out. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Oh the humor was exactly what I needed. A problem I have is that even at then end I do not have a good handle on what the Hub actually is. I also prefer my romances to be cleaner. I love the amount of character building. I appreciate how it went in depth on more than just a couple main characters. I enjoyed the spunk and the real life challenges. It was hard to put down and I look forward to reading more from her.

Book Three with a a Delicious Ginger.
Book three of the Alpine series that takes place in Australia. The two protagonists here is another local from the area, Ben and Kate, granddaughter of local Alma who is recovering from a fall and has requested her assistance.
Kate has returned not in the best emotional or physical shape due to her not being present to her own parents death a few years earlier; and, Her blowing thru a lot of her inheritance in an unhealthy manner. She is extremely guarded of everyone so Ben, even though interested in getting to know her has to walk on egg shells.
Kate does begin to make changes by following the trail her mother walked. She begins to open up to Alma, and Ben continues to take small steps. Although she has some setbacks, she is able to recover because she is setting a foundation around her.
This storyline was as good as the previous two and, had the same faults as the previous two. So if the author read the reviews she knows and I won’t beat a dead horse. 😉
I do recommend this book for your reading enjoyment and pleasure. Peace.

Loving this series…
Finally Home is the third book in the Alpine Valleys series. Ben meets Kate in the small Australian town where she is caring for her grandmother. They are wonderful characters but although Ben helps everyone he can, he refuses to allow anyone to help him. This story is full of humour, life issues, and steamy romance. Kate has allowed him to help her to heal her heart… will he ever let her in?
