JANUARY 2018 Brand New Release from Chuck Driskell In 1938, as the Third Reich is just beginning its reign of terror, hundreds of Jewish orphans are hidden away in Austria, in the midst of their underground escape to Palestine. The only man who knows their location is killed, leaving the children with precious little time to survive. The dead man leaves a single set of instructions: Find U.S. … single set of instructions: Find U.S. Department of War agent Neil Reuter—he will save the children. Reuter, who is part-Native American, is a wreck, grieving the murder of his wife and unborn son. Realizing this mission goes beyond his grief, he accepts, hurtling himself toward the menace of the Third Reich. Relentlessly pursued by the Nazis, as well as his own people from the U.S. Department of War who believe he’s traveling into the Reich to assassinate Adolf Hitler, Reuter uses his unique set of skills to battle his way from San Francisco to England, through Germany and on to Austria in a race against time to find the hidden group of children.
A sweeping saga of espionage and suspense, over the backdrop of a tantalizing love story, FINAL MISSION: ZION combines modern storytelling with the excitement and cliffhangers of the classic Saturday afternoon movie serial.

Neil has become an alcoholic following the murder of his wife and unborn son. But a visit from the sister of his best friend changes all of that. He is tasked with finding and freeing several hundred Jewish children to get them out of Austria before the Nazi’s kill them. There is a lot of action and surprising twists and turns. There is some profanity.
Good book, full of action and never knew what was going to happen next. Really enjoyed it and had a hard time putting it down.
Loved this book and recommended it to my husband and he also loved it.
I liked this book a lot and enjoyed the read although I honestly felt the final scenes at the train with the German soldiers was totally unrealistic.
Really grabbed me. Good characterization. Liked the ending.
Tough book to read. I don’t usually read books like this. It did have quite a bit of violence in it. But somehow I just couldn’t put it down.
Good read about WW!!, the monsters that created it and a the un -recognized heroes
Always good to read historical novels.
Always some truth in the reading.
Unexpected plot twists .
Another take on WW2 abuse & improbable invovement of WW1 characters. Interesting read
Not an easy read. Uncomfortable reading.
Loved this book!
Did not like to put this one down
Great history built into a great story!
I loved this book, until I got to the end. Why?
Great story, great characters! I really enjoyed this book.
Geographical great depiction of such a sad sad time in history.
One of the better books I have read over the past 6 months.
Great novel. Looked forward to what would be on the next page.
This book takes a promising thriller plot and buries it under irrelevant detail, characters behaving in unrealistic ways, and a series of outrageous anachronisms.
There was no US base in Iceland in 1938, no US forces stationed in the UK, no Americans fighting at Gallipoli in1915. Unauthorized warplane overflight in peacetime, even of friendly countries, would be a major diplomatic incident. While there is a touch of realism here and there, and some good ideas, it’s not worth wasting your time on it.
Interesting, historically informative book that kept interested right up to the last page.
