This series just kept getting better and better. This book was my favorite by far. It made me turn pages slower to give the characters more time and then read so fast I had to reread because I was skipping lines. My soul is broken and stitched back together. Here is my heart. It’s yours Pepper.
4.5
” ‘ ‘ . .”
: adult dark romance, forbidden and steamy
Oh wow!! This has been quite a journey, but I can officially say this is one of my all time favorite series and Jethro and Nila’s story is my favorite out there.
As expected, all the action and emotions that I wanted where on here. If you thought Pepper couldn’t break your heart more, you are so wrong. She did it thru many scenes on here, actually I’m still recovering from them
All the villains on the series got the ending they deserved, but then she had the nerve to k!ll one of my favorite characters and for that I will not forgive her for making me believe something that did NOT happen
As for the main characters, Nila and Jethro have got their well deserved HEA. I knew how cute they are together, but then Jethro did these small details and made me fall for him harder. I’m so excited to read the extended epilogues and see their journey as a happy couple.
The only thing that made no sense is the Jacqueline plot. Like why did she bring something out of nowhere at 85% of the final book in the series? Yeah, it’s so bizarre, but I will pretend It didn’t happen
Besides that, I really enjoyed this journey and I can say that Pepper has a great writting style that captures you from the very beginning, at the same time as she pulls out all the emotions you have inside of you. This whole series is a MUST read!!
Not for the faint of heart! I couldn’t put it down. This series is one that I will read again and again!
This series of books written by Pepper Winters are the best. They are sexy and intriguing. I’m just chasing that wonderful high. Thanks
loved this series.
This book was amazing! I wanted to yell and scream so many times! NOOOOOO!!!! It seemed like every time Nila and Jethro we’re finally going to get what they wanted, Cut was one step ahead. I got so frustrated and anxious and I felt like my heart was going to rip out of my chest!! But after all that craziness there was an EPIC HEA!!!! I will never get over Nila and Jethro’s story! It’s officially one of my favorite series.
this series is truly amazing. if you love dark and twisted that will stay will you for evermore, than the indebted series is a must read. cant praise it high enough
Fantastic book!! This series is a crazy roller coaster ride that will blow you away!!
Amazing series! Amazing ending! I cried off and on. I was overwhelmed half the time.
Yes. It’s a 6 book series and worth every minute spent reading. I appreciate every moment spent with the Hawks and the Weavers. All the characters evolved in a tremendous way and I went from hating and not trusting some to completely falling in love with them. It is unbelievable how each installment just kept pulling me in and giving more and more.
This series is in my opinion unique, intriguing, daring and special. The tough moments were hard to swallow and the sweet moments were impossible not to melt. From one end to the next. From beginning to end.
LOVED IT!
p.s I think I cried in this last one from 85% through 95% *roughly* don’t judge, Lol.
Happy and Sad tears
So many things don to her but she found love. Pageturner!! Entire series
Pepper Winters always sucks me in, no matter how twisted the plot.
This series was hard to put down.
Wow what a finale to a series like I have never listened to before. The Indebted series was a dark romance, that will grip you from beginning to end. The narration was fantastic Kylie Stewart and Will Watt nailed it.
Holy Mother of God!!!!!!!!! “Final Debt” had me on my knees at some points. I couldn’t put it down. But that you will want to because it’s so painful! Yet so worth all the intense, deep-seated and mind-blowing feeling you will have!
But in the end, I can say my heart was happy with the outcome! Oh, how I love Nina and Jethro!!! OMG, I need a drink or 100! Im left in a brain fog!
Everything finally comes together in The Final Debt, all family secrets revealed, all twists exposed and revenge is executed. This was a long complicated tale of a 600 year old debt one family had imposed on another.
Pepper’s writing is just phenomenal; she writes dark plots like no other, descriptive, emotive and always goes that extra mile. Little snippets of information come flooding back books later to be told in greater detail that form part of the twists that she sets up early on. Character strength and development are in abundance; she writes 4D characters that come alive.
If you like dark and haven’t read Pepper’s writing then you need to bump this series to the top of your tbr. You won’t regret it!
My grandparents were landowners, we lived in a mansion which had labyrinthine corridors, hallways, fake walls and one documented tunnel, leading to the forest about 3 miles away. All the rooms ‘ spoke ‘ at night, coming alive with wired noises. After my grandfather died, we found a whole suite hidden behind a gigantic mirror in the main hall, full of records , dating back to 16th century, of deeds and bonds..
this book is somewhat similar. Every chapter you enter seems to bring us new secrets. Every character has hidden flaws and morals. Every secret, you think you uncovered, hides behind it more mystery.
The story is very tangled. Full of Deceit and Double Cross.
Weavers and Hawks are rivals but pepper adeptly adds multi dimensions to cruel Bryan ‘Cut’ Hawk and manipulative Witch -Bonnie Hawk. Their chapters are brilliantly written, giving us rare insight into their devious minds. The story comes to fruition in the 6th installment. It’s expansive, it’s elaborate it’s tangled , like a web.
Nila is forcibly prepared to extract the Final Debt and is kidnapped to Botswana . The Diamond mines are the backdrop . Daniel is the perpetrator and he becomes the ultimate sacrifice. Nila defends herself after being drugged and Jethro helps her dispose off Daniel. What happens next adds another shade of black to Cut’s already cruel Heart. The way Nila survives and kills Bonnie is a stroke of peppers genius pen .
Ancient torture instruments add to severity and horor of the executions.
The next chapter is , according to me , the MOST brilliant in the entire series.
Jethro facing Cut in the Barn , is not only him struggling with his Empathic Soul, he’s also trying to show Cut that in ultimately controlling his feels, he’s eventually become a worthy heir to Cut. A son he could be proud of .
he tries to follow all of Cut’s torturous lessons ftom his childhood, of controlling his pain and focus on hunting .
” Focus on the hawk stalking the rabbit, not the rabbit running for its life.
Focus on the dog’s infectious joy bounding after a deer, not the deer galloping from death.”
He becomes a predator and channels his empath soul outward
in Cut’s Death, Jethro redeems him.
“Don’t let corruption turn you into me !”
” We were no longer father and son, teacher and disciple.
We were two men cleaning up the mess we’d caused.
Two men alone in a world we’d created.
And we would both suffer a lot more before it was over.”
Nobody is a winner in the war. A war between two families, between brothers, between a Father And A Son.
this chapter is so vivid with pain and redemption and forgiveness , it tore my heart.
Jethro wraps up the loose ends …
but wait, there’s more secrets to be revelled !!
turns out not only the Hawks, But the Weavers too are Tainted.
Jacqueline !!
The sad sad demise of kestrel is very tragic and very ironic. Just enter Jethro and Nila seem to walk the path to eternal happiness, Kes leaves them to find his own happiness snd freedom.
I loved the last moments of Mabel, Bonnie, Cut and Kestrel. What a brilliant piece of writing . *applause*
Jethro Hawk , a chaotic soul , the one who decimated wars and contracts , loved Nila Weaver with all his heart. Ended the 600 year old war and brought peace and hope back to Hawksridge
What I loved about this particular Last book was that it unshamedly bared all the flaws in good characters , turning them into believable humans
Bonnie , for instance, she did whatever she did out of toxic love for her family.
“Every story has rarely two sides.
it has multiple sides .
A never-ending battle where humans picked what they believed, causing friction and intolerance. Sometimes the choices were for understandable reasons—not justified or rash or right—just…understandable.”
Who is right – Depends on who you ask !!!
I walk away from this series a little more clearer , a little more heartbroken, more filled with love and hope for Nila And Jethro. A little more wiser and a whole lot entertained
my mission now is to get these fabulous books in paperbacks .
Pepper is one of my favorites.
