The author is either an ex-submariner or very well informed. It is like you are looking over the shoulder of the sub’s Captain in the actual boat! Great technical details and a good story line.
This was a decent take on Clancy’s Clear and Present Danger. Just updated with current events and a couple of additional story lines thrown in. I liked this book as a start to a possibly good series. The character arc and plot were well researched and easy to follow, without too much techno-babble. The multiple story lines were evenly mixed and flowed well. I look forward to reading the rest of this series.
Haunting
Outstanding novel. Submarine action, drug lord, delta force all rolled into great action story.
Really good book. Keeps you reading. Can’t wait to finish it to find out what happens then sad there is not more,
I enjoyed the characters – and their roles – in this story. The author covers everything from a basic understanding of a nuclear sub’s reactor to the roles of the crew and the decision making process of the captain, and the bureaucratic roadblocks that he, a DEA investigator, and the police have to work around. Included in all this is a Seal Team sent into the Columbian jungle to take out some sophisticated heroin labs, and an evil drug lord who stops at nothing to have his way… All of these things spin out to an explosive climax..
An absorbing read. Enjoyed every bit of it, and would like more of the same.
Well done story, kept you on the edge of your chair, to read more.
Excellent thriller with undersea angle
The book was good. It started off and was scattered, but I stuck with it and it came together. The author needs to learn Spanish or find an editor who is familiar with that language
Exciting read
Final Bearing first in the Hunter Killer series by George Wallace and Don Keith is an adventure thriller. From the western seaboard of the United States to the jungles of Columbia to the middle of the Pacific Ocean, military and law enforcement teams work together to eliminate a drug lord and his life destroying plots.
Characterization is good, plot is interesting and moving from one aspect to another is easy to follow. Naval and submarine lingo and equipment was over my head but didn’t detract from enjoying the book.
this book was action pact with multiple characters and plenty of action. The story was very descriptive regarding the various settings the characters were place Very good description of the Columbia jungles, as well as, Washington State. Describes the actions of the sub commander and his staff.
Loved this book. Bring a different perspective to the military
Very good read. A fictional story for what could be all to realistic today.

These books are very good. Lots of twists and turns. Love them all!
Great read for those wo like historical fiction
I liked this book a lot, especially as a former submariner from a 637 class ship. Lots of great details, combined with an interesting story. BZ!
