This broody wolf shifter thought he’d never find his true mate. But a human woman is about to prove him wrong.Jessica, a human, doesn’t know what to believe when an ill-advised trek through the woods lands her in a supernatural territory filled with dangerous shapeshifters. One man in particular makes her heart go pitter-patter, but he’s brusque and bossy and pushes her away at every turn. That … pushes her away at every turn. That can’t be love, can it?
Wolf shifter Marcus doesn’t do friendship—not since his buddy died. He doesn’t do packs—not since he had to kill one of his own packmates. And he sure as hell doesn’t do mates—not since the last woman he loved rejected him. But Jessica is turning everything he believed upside down, and he’ll do whatever it takes—make friends, form a pack, and even fall in love—to protect her.
Filthy Wolf is the second standalone book in the Junkyard Shifters series. It features a wounded hero, a feisty heroine, and all kinds of naughty language and sessytimes. Embrace the “trashy” in “trashy romance” and buy your copy today!

Filthy Wolf (Junkyard Shifters Book 2) by Liza Street is a fantastic story that I have had the privilege to read and review. This is book number two in this fantastic series that I am so hooked on and can not wait to read more from this author. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about wolf shifters and paranormal romance.
I read a complimentary Advanced Reader Copy of this book & am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review.
Jessica stumbles into the area called the Junkyard by mistake one night and becomes trapped in a world she never knew existed. Marcus is the first to find her and knows how much danger she is in so he vows to protect her. Marcus, a wolf shifter, never thought that he would be worthy of having a mate. It only takes one human woman to change his mind.
This was the second in this series and while it can be read as a stand-alone book, reading the initial book first will add some enrichment to this fabulous read. The book was well-written with wonderful characters and I loved following the main character on their path of enlightenment. This book captured me from the beginning and often kept me on the edge of my seat. I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the next one. I highly recommend both book and series.
I can’t say enough about the books I’ve read by this author. I love them all. Such wild and exciting places she creates and characters that are multi-faceted and likable, mostly. I really liked Marcus from the last book and wondered how life was going for him after his injury. Jessica is a bit of a spoiled girl from famous parents who is in classes she doesn’t even want, to please her parents. Not like she has any say so anyway. When her friend, Blythe, gets her scholarship revoked Jessica is livid and leaves with her. They accidentally end up in the Junkyard. Marcus meets Jessica when he saves her from a bear. Not a shifter, a real bear. Blythe is captured and the plan is to break her out. I liked Lena well enough in the last book, but I’m losing that like after her crazy antics almost get Jessica killed. This is a terrific series and I am looking forward to Jace and Blythe’s story next. I requested a free advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.
This book is as good as the first 1.It starts out 1 way & makes you wonder how it ties into the book title but then when they meet up it just clicks & grows from there. Once you start reading you don’t stop as you want to know what happens.I bet the next 1 will be just as great:)
I’m new to the Liza Street fandom but this lady can write!
We are introduced to Jessica and Marcus. Their banter is absolutely entertaining!! Banter and wit is always a draw for me and this book has it in spades.
Be ready to be drawn into the magic!
Who are Blythe, Jessica, and Chaole? Where are they and why? Where is Cougar Lake? Why do Blythe and Jessica head to the lake? When I was 30% into the book, I started remembering why I liked Marcus. Alleman and Barnum are still up to no good at the Junkyard. What antics do they get up to this time? Read and see what happens! I realized how much I like Jase and Stetson as well! Read and see what happened!
RECEIVED THIS BOOK AS A GIFT FOR A FAIR/HONEST REVIEW and REVIEWER FOR Bloggin’ With M. Brennan.
A great addition to the series which is well recommended. You have action, intrigue, excitement, drama, danger, suspense, emotional situations and much more. Love this author and her books. You know when you get one it is going to be good. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
UNDER THE DOME
FILTHY WOLF is the second book in the Junkyard Shifters series. Though the story could stand on its own, you will enjoy it more if you have read the first book prior.
What do you expect to happen when you have a prison with no guards? In any group there will be good and bad, those who will try to form some sort of reasonable hierarchy and those who truly belong their because they are chaos incarnate. Now add in that these bad men are all shifters. Oh, and by the way, the witches forgot to protect any humans – especially females – who may stumble across the gravel delineator!
I love the concept of the magic dome that encases this prison for shifters. It brings to mind an old Stephen King novel I read called “Under the Dome.” At least these shifters know who created their dome and why!
The descriptions of the junkyard are so perfect that I believe I could now draw a map of the place. The old bus goes here, the community BBQ was held over there, the old painted RV is right there across from Grant and Caitlyn’s house…
I could not put this down. Between the action, suspense, romance, playful banter, and personal growth, I was not leaving this Junkyard until they did!
There is no doubt who the next couple will be, and I can’t wait to see Jase and Blythe’s journey from mates-of-convenience to realizing they are fated mates. He’s already put her under his protection. Now let’s see what happens next!
Note: While I received this book as a gifted ARC, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

Jessica was sent to a camp for writers but she didn’t want to be there, so when Blythe was kicked out she went with her. They got lost and ended in the junkyard prison. Marcus found Jessica and hid her but Blythe was caught by the two worst of the prisoners and put in a truck to keep her captured. But they found about Jessica and put both in a cage to be fought over to win them. Marcus won and got Jessica back and then were mated and were able to cross over the magic line of the prison. Loved the book! Ready for the next book!
Such a cool series!
I mean, I’m basically a broken record at this point (because I think I say the same thing about all of Liza’s books!), but if you like well-written, steamy, action-packed adventures with just the right amount of snarky humor, then THIS is the author for you.
The underlying theme for this series is that The Junkyard is like a prison for bad shifters. But, as previous “prisoners” have found out, there is a way to escape (no spoilers!)
I didn’t even read the synopsis for this book. I opened the virtual cover and away I went! I just love buckling up for Liza’s stories!
(I was given this book in consideration of my honest thoughts)
Jessica and Marcus
Jessica and Blythe escaped the writing conference. Well, Jessica escaped, Blythe was another story. They used some bad judgment and tried to walk away ending up in the Junkyard. The only women in the shifter prison with one way in and no way out.
So begins their adventure, using the word loosely. The shifters inside are there for a reason and they are mostly bad beings. As the only females, their future does not look promising. Marcus isn’t like most of the other males. Will he and maybe some others help the ladies?
There is fighting, finding friendship, some humor, and steam along with good and bad guys to read about in this one. Will the women get out? Will any of them find love?
I enjoyed this second adventure in the series.
Filthy Wolf by Liza Street is book 2 of her Junkyard Shifters series. It’s such an inventive series. It’s an interesting twist of shifters. The characters are wonderful and proves that you can find goodness anywhere. Marcus and Jessica’s story is filled with disappointment, hope, friendship, loyalty, goodness, evil and love. The twist and turns well keep you guessing. If you are looking for something new and refreshing in the shifter world then this is a series you’ll want to read. I received an ARC from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.
Interesting storyline with action, danger, conflicting emotions, frustration and romance. I enjoyed this addition to the Junkyard series very much. Jessica and Marcus are both strong yet vulnerable characters, and they make you feel as though you are in the book with them. This tale grabbed my interest from the beginning and it was really difficult to put down. Don’t miss it.
Loved this series from the beginning and love it even more after each book. Completely fresh storyline, with action, heat, humor and heart. The characters have depth and really enjoy the witty banter. It will keep your attention from the beginning to the end and leave you wanting the next book. All are standalone and definitely recommend reading this book along with the series. I received a free copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a review .
This quick read has it all; action, suspense, spicy romance, touching personal growth, and witty banter that will have you cracking up. When two human women stumble into the shifter prison some of these inmates could make them wish for death. Jessica finds her strength when she has to fight with and for Marcus in the junkyard. She may be human and him a shifter but together they make each other better. Still it will be a miracle for her to escape because he doesn’t believe he deserves to get out. A sweet fun read.
Another great addition to the series. And thanks for answering that lingering thought I had in the back of my mind about what happened if you stumble upon the junkyard by accident. You get stuck!! Key in all the other factors like intrigue, action, and of course steamy romance to keep you hook from beginning to end and you have a helluva read. Looking forward to seeing what else is in store for this series. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received and the opinions I have expressed are my own.
When I read the first book in this series, I was wondering what would happen if someone wandered into the junkyard on accident. Well now I know, they still get stuck in there even if they don’t belong there. Marcus was a hero in the first book trying to protect Lana because she was his friend. In this book Marcus gets his own happily ever after with Jessica. The Junkyard is a dangerous place whether you belong there or not. I can’t wait to see what happens next! So, humans beware of the junkyard you could get stuck with hot and a few crazy men, what could possibly go wrong?
So this series just keeps getting better! Great characters and an engaging storyline make for a fantastic read.
