Filthy Riches
By: Lauren Landish
Narrated by: Lance Greenfield, Carly Robins, J.F. Harding, Melissa Moran
I don’t even know where to start with this book by Lauren Landish. I am a huge lover of romantic suspense, and this one did not give it to me only once, but twice. Written in 4 points of view, we get two intertwined mysteries with two budding romances, each having all the elements of thrills and passion. Nathan Stone in search of his father’s killer. When Emma goes undercover for her FBI sister to find out information on him, their story begins. Carly witnesses Kyle strangling the breath out of a man in an alley, and their attraction begins. These two women are best friends, these two men in search of murderers. Their interconnecting stories lead to mystery and intrigue, much like National Treasure. It’s a hunt to the finish, and it’s fun, passionate and thrilling. The 4 points of view are concise and easy to keep straight. Nathan is a man with not only looks, but brains and a mission. He is quite the alpha male and does his best to try to keep Emma in line. Emma is a fiercely passionate, falls hard and knows intuitively what she wants. I love her spunk and brains. Carly is the free spirit of the bunch, but when she meets Kyle, she quickly is grounded. I find her realistic with real perseverance. Kyle is achingly sad at times, but I love his awakening to life as he learns to let go of his past. It’s a fast paced ride, sure to keep you wondering who the is at the top of this crime chain and invests your heart in the two couples. The perfect listen for me!
Four points of view with four narrators was incredible. And the team chosen is spot on! Lance Greenfield, Carly Robins, J.F. Harding, Melissa Moran give each character the perfect sound and personality. Their voices fit each character. Lance with his deep rasp as Kyle compliments Carly Robins as Carly as JF Harding’s smooth sound as business man Nathan seamlessly matches with Melissa Moran’s Emma. It’s a great listen, perfect for your ears.

A very well written romance with nice storyline and plot. Main characters are well defined and develops nicely through the story. I like it is written in multiple POV because that gives the reader more of the feelings and thoughts of the main characters and makes the story more realistic.
It is about two couples and sometimes that got a bit confusing for me. A lot is happening because of the two couples and maybe too much was happening because that made me somehow choose side and I could not get into both stories as much as I would like.
It is a mix of mystery, murder, drama, action, romance, twists, steamy scenes and emotions. It is worth the read and entertaining.
The epilogues are welcomed.
This book really took me by surprise. I didn’t expect the turns and the plot at all, but it was quite an entertaining read! Nathan and Emma were great characters, with strong development and amazing chemistry. Something different, but an entertaining story!
OMGeeeee!!!! I love every Lauren Landish book that I have read to date, but this one…..OMGeeee…..This one has taken me on a ride like no other has before! I did not want to put this book down, but at the same time, I did not want it to end. I finished the book early this morning and I still want more!!
Action, romance, pretend relationships, mystery, intrigue, siblings at odd with each other….this book has it all! Told from 4 POVs, multiple main characters and intertwined relationships, this book sucks you in from the very beginning and does not let go!
I sure hope that some of the secondary characters get their own book and we get to revisit with these characters again!!
This book is EFFING AMAZING!!!!!!!! I don’t even know where to start my review because there is so much that went on and I have to say that I love absolutely love how Lauren weaved this story that is full of suspense, murders, thriller, love, protection, and so much more I could go om for days.
There are two couples involved in this story making it a 4 POV story that had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. I mean I was reading and talking to my knidle the whole time saying oh no don’t go there, oh no is that going to happen, and OMG yes that did just happen. I was so invested in this story I called for take out for the family and read right through the night till I was done.
I have to say that this is one of those books that NEEDS to be read because you will be on such a roller coaster ride that once it stops you will be like NO oh NO please don’t stop!
Wow this book was one of the best from Ms Landish! There are a couple of stories within this book. Story of two couples that are affected by two murders that seem related. Nathan liked to live his life carefree and on the edge. But a tragedy hits when his father and an assistant is murdered and he has to take over the family business of jewelry. He knows his father was involved with Nikolai Romanov and he is determined to find out if Romanov was the cause of his father’s death.
Emma and Carly are friends. Both come from wealthy families. Emma wants to be an actress which plays in with what her sister (who works for the FBI) gets Emma to go undercover to get something on Nathan to show Nathan killed his father. The second couple Carly and Kyle are tied in with the mystery of Nathan’s father’s death. The mystery surrounding the search in the caves in Brazil for a diamond caused the two murders but the murderer is still free. Kyle lost his fiance and unborn child (she was the Nathan’s father’s assistant-see how it ties in) so he is numb from his loss. This is an intricate story of 4 individuals trying to catch a killer while still staying alive long enough to get justice and to fall in love.

Filthy Riches is one of my favorite Lauren Landish books so far and I’ve read almost all of her books! This novel was suspenseful, romantic and a little emotional. I was never bored. I couldn’t wait to know more about the characters and their secrets. I also wanted to know what would happen next.
Filthy Riches is told from 4 points of views and there will be 2 couples. Given everything that happens and each character’s past/story, it made sense that there are 4 point of views. I adored both couples and I can’t tell you which couple I preferred.
The first couple is Nathan and Emma. They met each other at a party when Emma decided to help her sister. Nathan is immediately attracted to Emma and he wants to know more about her. Emma’s sister warned her about Nathan’s reputation, but she can’t stay away from him. Nathan’s reputation isn’t good. He’s dangerous, ruthless and cold. Emma sees another side of Nathan and she wants to know more about him. Nathan can be driven, caring, sweet and protective. Emma is a smart, loyal, sweet and loving.
The second couple is Kyle and Carly. Carly has been traveling around Europe. One day, she meets Kyle. There is something about him that makes her want to know him. Getting to know Kyle, that won’t be easy. Kyle desperately wants revenge and nothing or no one can stop him. Kyle is a closed off, strong and distant man. Carly is the opposite. She’s cheerful, optimistic, sweet, kindhearted and caring. Kyle will open up and change for the better. Carly is the perfect woman for him.
Wow…just wow! Filthy Riches is the perfect example of a book you can totally get lost in for the weekend…or before work/during lunch/after work/during dinner/after dinner/in bed for a few days because you won’t want to put it down. Yes, this is THAT book.
Filthy Riches is about Emma’s entanglement with Nathan Stone. There are 4 points of view and they are all absolutely necessary to the story. I do not want to give too much away but I will say that the story flows and will keep you enthralled all the way to the end.
Emma is an actress that lands two roles: one is off-Broadway and the other is a different role she’s reluctant to play. She finds herself caught in a precarious position that will either end with her on Nathan Stone’s lap or six feet under. She’s not sure which is better given what she has been told about him.
This is a voluntary review of an advance reader copy. I highly suggest reading this book and I am someone who normally sticks to books below 300 pages. When it works it works and this story works. Don’t be daunted by the page count! Was the tease of Claire and Caleb a glimpse of something to come in the future? Please!! I would read that so hard. 😛
This book exceeded my expectations. I loved the way the story was told from interconnecting characters. At first it seemed confusing, but as the pieces started to slot together it made sense and added a lot to the story, gave it a depth it would not have if it were told from just the views of Nathan and Emma. Dirty and gritty, with a lot of grey areas, a lot of action, some violence and a bit of suspence, this is a romance book for the ages. Looking forward to what ms Landish will do next.

Nathan hated that he had to leave the life he had to come home and run the family business after his father was murdered. But he did it because he had to and his brother Caleb came back with him. They both secretly run an investigation trying to discover who is responsible for the murder. Emma is an actress/ researcher and her sister Claire is an FBI agent that can’t get clearance to run an op on Nathan. Claire turns to her sister and asks for her to be a spy for her against Nathan. However no one could’ve expected how quickly things would get real for Emma when it came to Nathan.
Carly is in Italy living her life the way she wants to not how her family expects her to. She meets Kyle when he comes to get coffee near where she is staying. The first time the meet she ends up seeing something that should scare her away but it only serves to intrigue her to learn more about Kyle. Kyle is determined to find the person responsible for his woman’s death. All his leads point to Nathan Stone so he makes plans to go and find out and kill Nathan if it comes down to it. Carly and Emma are best friends so when Carly comes to NY to see her in a play neither is prepared for how things will change in their lives forever. Will Nathan and Kyle find the answers they’re looking for? Who is behind the murders and the current threat to them and their women?
This is an amazing story that draws you into the lives of two main male characters and their women. The chemistry between these characters is electrifyingly hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
Oh this a really good book, it was my first by Lauren Landish and definitely not the last. It had good storyline and I love the mystery and adventure this book took you on.
I was worried that it would be difficult to follow 4 different POV but it was wasn’t and I ended up falling in love with both couple and I was happy how things ended for them.
I am voluntarily reviewing an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I think I’m swooning just over the cover..but let’s talk about what is my Favorite Lauren Landish book!!! Let’s start with a 4 person POV. I thought trying to keep this all straight would be a challenge, but it was pretty seamless. Nathan & Emma, and her best friend Carly & her new man, Kyle are all well written, intriguing characters, the stories weave together beautifully. The book flowed really well, it was a page turner from start to finish. Sexy, Steamy, WOW!!!
At first I had a hard time reading 4 point of views. Once they tied into each other it was much easier to understand. The way the characters intertwine together was set up perfectly. I love how Emma and Carly are the light to Nathan and Kyle’s darkness. Nathan wants to find and destroy the one thing that his father was truly passionate about. After Nathan and Caleb’s mother died, their father became obsessed with work and finding a treasure. Someone had murdered their father and Kyle’s fiance and unborn child. Both Nathan and Kyle seek retribution. Emma and Carly are both strong women and they stand by their men. It is hard to put into words how amazing this book is. It is definitely a must read. Lauren never disappoints me with her books.

In this story you have four people thrown together by circumstances and tied to a Russian mobster and monster in the underworld crime business. This is more than just romance. There is suspense, crime, twists and many turns. I enjoyed reading this book.

As with every other book I’ve read by this author, this was a true to form page-turner from the very beginning! Full of heat, humor, AND mystery and suspense, all inside a super great storyline which kept me up WAY past my bedtime. It was easy to immerse myself in the book and get myself so into the story I felt like I could identify with the characters, like being right there in the story. Two stories entwined into one make for a book that you won’t be sorry you took a chance on. Lauren does not let us down at any level in the telling of this adventure of the two couples involved. Absolutely, positively riveting! Get this now! I received an ARC and this is my honest, unsolicited opinion.

Lauren Landish is a new-to-me author and when I was asked to review, Filthy Riches, I jumped at the chance.
Filthy Riches switched between so many POVs that it was a bit confusing for me. Granted the story followed between POVs but, to me, it was just a bit much. While trying to get to know Nathan and Emma we are inserted in the world of Carly and Kyle as well. While the book was filled with so much, you never saw the next thing coming, I just couldn’t get into it.
I did like the suspense, the action, the relationships, etc. Lauren’s characters were well developed and so was the storyline. Each character entwined with the other in different ways.
Even though I couldn’t get into the book, I would recommend Filthy Riches to anyone who loves suspense, action, etc.
Filthy Riches is a fast paced romance that is packed with unexpected twists, lies, secrets, suspense, mystery and so much more. The characters are well developed and complex. In this book we get two love stories that come together in the end giving it a great ending.
Filthy Riches by Lauren Landish is a romance story of Nathan, Emma, Carly and Kyle that intertwines between the 4 main characters. So, get ready to see 4 POV’s and 2 main couples.
Ok so this isn’t your regular love story– it involves 4 people who didn’t know anything about each other but end up getting caught in a powerful and dangerous game that involves a very bada$$ Russian gangster, treasure hunting and lots of twists/turns to keep the readers guessing up until pretty much the end. We taken on a journey with Nathan and Emma but there is Kyle and Carly as well.
There is plenty of action to go with the drama and angst. I loved the chemistry with all the main characters. The heat and sizzle is perfect. Loved the pace and flow of the story. Just a great read.
My Rating: 4.7 stars *****
Will Emma accept Nathan’s past?
Lauren is one of my top authors as I love an author who writes in dual point of view. Nathan is looking to make a deal with a Russian mobster for safe passage to find a treasure that his father didn’t complete before his murder. Emma’s FBI sister wants her to go to a party hosted by Nathan to catch some dirt on Nathan and the Russian. When Emma slips up, Nathan pretends Emma is his sub to the Russian to protect her. Emma’s best friend, Carly meets Kyle in Italy, who is trying to find who killed his pregnant fiancé. But when Carly and Kyle meet up again in NYC, will the two finally be able to take a step forward with their relationship? Will Nathan & Emma’s pretend relationship actually lead to something more and will Emma help to find the treasure? You have to read to find out and won’t want to put the book down.
