Just when I thought I’d fallen for Finn, along came his ‘adopted’ brother, Eoghan (pronounced “Owen”).
To guarantee peace between the Russian and Irish mobs, the Russian leader signed his daughter, Inessa, over to Eoghan when she became of age. Neither Inessa or Eoghan were happy about the arranged marriage, but after meeting each other for the first time at the altar- Eoghan found himself ready to do anything to protect her.
These men y’all Seriously, there is something so delicious about a sexy, dominate man who is willing to do anything to protect his woman. Not only is this story incredibly steamy, but I found it strangley empowering as well. The women in these stories come across as shy and timid, but they take no shit from anyone, especially their men. They support their men 100%, but they don’t hesitate to make their wants known & to tell it like it is.
Eoghan and Inessa’s story was brutally beautiful and outrageously honest.
Inessa has been promised to the Irish Mob by her father who is the Pakhan of the Bratva. She willingly goes through with this as that is how it is in the family but she does not know Eoghan and hopes that he will at least be nice to her.
This story touched my heart because Inessa is an 18 year old with an old soul and she has not been able to make choices for herself. I could feel her hopes and dreams dashed and her resign to follow her father’s wishes.
This story kept me enthralled from page 1!
Yummy Yum Yum!! What a fun, in your face, don’t fuck with what is mine story!!! Loved it! This Irish Mob family is very intriguing to say the least!!
Loved this book so much!! X
Serena did it again. Drew you in from the beginning of a messed up relationship to a love like we all dream of!! I love that she ties in her other books but also adds in other POVs to understand more into the 5 Points family that keeps you reading on.
Eoghan, sniper of 5 Points and Inessa, daughter to the Bratva…..not a good combination, WRONG. Both forced into a marriage they didn’t want but they were made for each other. Eoghan may be my next new Book Boyfriend, standing up for Inessa from the beginning!
“I vow not to betray you….if you don’t betray me.”
I can not wait to read the next book to see how the 5 Points love grows even deeper!!!
In addition to this book, I have just finished listening to the Audible version and it makes this book 10x better. You are definitely going to want to buy it.
This is the second book in the Five Points’ Mob Collection, a Dark Mafia Romance. I recommend you to read this Series in order. Wow! This is another great addition to this amazing Series! Eoghan and Inessa’s story is captivating. Eoghan, is older, wickedly handsome, dark, ruthless, and very protective. Inessa is young, and surprisingly strong. They share a strong and sizzling chemistry. The world building is well done, and enthralling. I love this Series, and I HIGHLY recommend it. Looking forward to read the next book in the Series, Filthy Dark, Declan’s stroy.
I read all of it. That’s why it’s getting at least 3 stars, because it did get me to read till the end. I just couldn’t get past the fact that this was suppose to be a dark, mafia, crime, etc story and it read a little to rainbows and kittens for me. I LOVE dark romance. I LOVE stuff that pushes your boundaries and has you sitting outside your comfort zone. I simply couldn’t get over how this was the complete opposite of what it seemed to imply it would be.
This is the 2nd book in this amazing series and is Eoghan and Inessa’s story. Inessa is a Bratva Princess, while Eoghan is Irish Mafia, and they enter into an unwanted marriage forced on them by their opposing family’s in order to build an alliance. Eoghan is very possessive about Inessa as she belongs to him and nobody will harm a hair on her head. This is a well written story which is intense, heart-warming, and with added drama which all leads to an all-consuming tale which had me enthralled throughout. I look forward to reading more from this author whose work I highly recommend for all.
Aiden Sr. and the Bratva became allies when the Bratva’s daughter turned eighteen to be wedded to Eoghan.
Eoghan is a Five Points of the Irish mafia. He’s dark, particular and a sniper. He doesn’t want to be married to a Bratva princess brat.
Inessa is a Bratva princess. Sweet, smart and innocent. No one knows of the abusive life she lives behind closed doors.
Eoghan and Inessa have an explosive chemistry that’s off the charts. She has changed his world and in return he has released her from her guilded cage.
So hooked on this series!!
This book was way more attention grabbing from start to finish, and I would of loved have given it full 5 stars but unfortunately there were a few major plot holes/unanswered questions, both with the couple from the last book and the stars of this one. Normally they might bother me but I could get past but these were critical moments skipped over. But the enjoyment of this book gives me hope for the next one. Loved having brief different points of view from side characters.
Like the second part of the previous duet there were some major bombshells thrown around, maybe, fingers crossed they all finally get dealt with in the next book, as a reader it can get frustrating when loose ends don’t get tied up. Don’t always need things tied up in pretty little bow, but some sort of resolution of something major…
The words use and overall review shouldn’t reflect personally on the author or any other of her series and books.
Again I’m conflicted don’t know if this is 3.5 stars or 4, I like almost everything about the romance, how he step up for her. How he gave her freedom and wasn’t a controlling douche, except everything happened too fast. At the being I thought Declan was going to take his brother place and marry our lead girl maybe I would like that a bit more. But I did like both our leads, and enjoy the plot.
But I would of liked it more if there was bickering if they couldn’t stand each other. All I ask for is slow burn with angst romance. More enemies to lover type of trope.
But overall this was entertaining, romantic with a few steamy scene
Two families that should have nothing to do with each other, are now tied in marriage.
I received this book as an arc and thought I should read the first book first. I found I did not have to do that to enjoy this one at all. Filthy Rich stands all on its own just fine. Eoghan and Inessa
Filthy Rich is a mob read with some dark points in it. I absolutely love Eoghan. I enjoyed him in the first book but having his own story made my heart bleed. He has a really tough exterior but when he loves it is for everything. And if anyone deserves it that would be Inessa.
These two books are the first time reading Serena Akeroyd, but they will NOT be the last. I am a full-time fan of hers now!
This is my first book by this author. I love a good mafia read with an arranged marriage and a little bit of an age gap. Who says opposites do not attract?? Eoghan is a hard man who is part of the Irish Mob, and Inessa is his Russian Bratva bride. These two come from very different worlds and as you will see they are perfect for one another. Where Eoghan needs control and someone who isn’t clingy and loyal. Inessa needs someone who will protect her and treat her the way she deserves. You can not help but fall in love with Eoghan with the way he treats Inessa. He feels protective of her from the very first time he sees her. As in any good mafia read there is suspense between these pages that will have you intrigued.
The reason for the 4 stars is there are a few questions that did not receive any answers.

Mafia books are hands down one of my top five favorite tropes to read. Filthy Rich by Serena Akeroyd ticks all the boxes for things I like to see in a mafia book. Filthy Rich is not what I would consider heavy on the mafia side more of mediumish feel to it. Serena was able to keep my attention from the beginning to end with just a little deviation on my part.
Inessa is not the type of character you would expect seeing as she is a Russian Mob Bosses daughter, you would think she would be on the tougher side. However, once you really get to know her and her story you start to understand her a bit more and then you realize just how sheltered she has been.
Eoghan brings out the best in Inessa. He really gets her to come out of her shell and speak up so to speak. At first, he is a bit standoffish because he does not want to be married but he did not have a choice but he makes the best of it.
Eoghan and Inessa have that chemistry a reader looks for when reading any book. Yes, there were a few scenes I thought felt a little forced but with the type of arrangement they had, an arranged marriage, it was to be expected. Honestly though once you get a feel for both of them and see just how well they fit together, you wish the book would never end.
I look forward to reading more books, Serena. This book is way worth the one click!
This was the best age gap, arranged marriage book that I have ever read. I absolutely adored this book!! I did not want it to end. I was pleasantly surprised how the storyline developed. The interactions between these characters were intense and simply perfect. The family gatherings were fun and full of love. This book may be Serena Akeroyd’s best work to date. I can not recommend this enough. One of the best reads of 2020!
Typically, I’m not a fan of mafia stories. I don’t even like watching those really big, popular mafia movies (which I won’t name here, but you can guess them). It’s not my usual kind of thing. But here I am several books deep into the Five Points/Filthy Feckers universe all because Serena Akeroyd is masterful! I’m absolutely in love with these books.
Eoghan and Inessa’s story is so good! The way the two characters are set up in an arranged marriage sets the stage for an epic love story. Watching them cautiously acclimate to one another and their new reality, learning about each other, learning to give and take, learning to love. Violence and vengeance, danger and darkness. Cameos from characters we love and the promise of more stories to come. It’s just so incredibly well done.
The characters, the dialogue, the relationships, the action – everything is so well-written, with such attention to detail. It’s one of the reasons I love this author and have not been disappointed. She has this uncanny ability to just embed you in the world of the story and it’s characters. So, if you don’t like your characters intelligent, realistic, foul-mouthed…well…
If you’re reading this review and wondering if you should give this book a try, it is a resounding yes. And while this story is fantastic as a standalone (and it can totally be read that way) I highly encourage you to take the journey from the start. Get to know all the characters and the richness of the story that is Serena Akeroyd is weaving.
Love how this book tied in so well with many of S.A.’s others! Inessa and Eoghan are a hot couple with a lot of things to work through, but you definitely want to sit back and watch as they do.
I feel like I waited forever for Eoghans book. Serena is the Queen of Dirty. Eogahn is absolutely amazing. Their chemistry is off the charts
The first book in the Filthy Feckers series and the second book in the Five Points Mob collection. And wow! I never was big on arranged marriage romances. But this one… Oh my God! I should know by now to always trust a story told by Serena Akeroyd! An age gap romance, where the bride is an old soul, and the groom a man of honour. An enemies to lover story, because she is Bratva scum and he is Irish mob… Can a book pack anymore punch?
This Dark Mafia Romance rivals with the best in the genre. We have romance, we have intrigue, we have angst, we have darkness and a tinsy bit of light. And as always Serena Akeroyd gives us the ending our heart needs. This is a stand alone novel, but I am already looking forward to Filthy Dark, Declan’s story.
Oh and can we take a minute to talk about that cover? I mean we are taught from a young age not to judge a book by it’s cover, but we all know we do it right? Well this one, I picked up on the cover alone! And boy oh boy was I not disappointed!
Filthy Rich is the 3rd book on the five point gang. Eoghan, is sexy Eoghan is dark and Inessa is the light be never knew he needed. Serena does it again and sets up this series on the best possible way. Once you read it you can’t help but crave the next book and curse that it isn’t out yet. Wonderful, sexy, and steamy, will leave you wanting more.
