As the baby of the O’Donnelly clan, I was shoved down the aisle first. The bruises on my face tell a tale of their own—I didn’t want this marriage. The bruises on my bride’s face? They stir the monster in me.Someone’s touched my property.I’m Irish Mob.We kill to protect our women. We reap nightmares on those who harm them. And I’m the biggest nightmare of them all. This is Eoghan O’Donnelly’s story.
We first met Eoghan in Filthy, now in Filthy Rich we really get to know more about him.
When Eoghan is betrothed to Inessa when she’s only 16 and a Bratva B*tch at that, he makes no bones about it that he has no interest in getting married.
He meets her the first time on their wedding day, when he notices that she has bruises on her face, even through her makeup, he vows to make the person who put them there pay. Inessa was brought up that women were the property of the men who they were married to and expected violence towards her if she said anything.
However, if there was ever a couple made for each other Eoghan and Inessa were it. They both had the same blood thirst and once they really became a couple, she learned that Eoghan was nothing like the men she grew up with.
This is the second book in the Filthy Feckers series and Serena Akeroyd is keeping it going with a bang. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series, I’m hooked on the O’Donnelly’s.
Update the audiobook has been released and I have listened to it. Wen Ross as Eoghan and Kai Kennikott as Inessa are perfect for the characters. Hearing the story with all the emotions with the vocal inflections is awesome. Wen Ross is sexy as Eoghan. I highly recommend listening to the book.
Filthy Rich is fecking awesome!! A crazy good read in the Five Points’ collection! Inessa and Eoghan (pronounced Owen) start off in opposing mob families, then are forced together. Betrayals, deepening loyalties, sensual romance and a growing bond to each other has the reader spinning in a good way! As an added bonus in this story, Serena Akeroyd created connections with characters in some of her other books by weaving their actions into the plot of this wonderfully twisted tale! You won’t be able to put it down!
First let me start this review off by saying that this is VERY different from what I am used to reading. My typical read, and by typical, I mean THE ONLY THING I have read up to now has been YA Fantasy. I thought I was REALLY broadening my horizons by throwing in some NA and Adult Fantasy. Needless to say I did not have high hopes for the humans……. UNTIL I met these Filthy Feckers, these band of brothers, this Irish mob that totally makes you SWOON
This book is about Eoghan O’Donnelly and his young Bratva bride Inessa. He is the youngest of the brothers in his family and is the first to be married off through an arranged marriage to a woman from a family that he hates.
From the very beginning Eoghan felt something for Inessa and his inner turmoil to fight those feelings were so well written. I felt like I was really right there in his mind with him. Even before the wedding he fought against it, he never wanted to get to know her or meet her. I love how these men are such close brothers because when one is not up to the task, another steps in to help so Declan would go to the meetings and meet with Inessa and although they couldn’t stand the Bratva, they were open minded enough to see a different side of her, the real her that would be good for their brother. I felt so much for Inessa because her father was awful, she felt abandoned by her older sister and responsible to keep her younger sister safe and she was barely an adult. In this book we start really getting into the secondary storyline that is the drama that has to do with the mob and a war that is starting to brew with a secret society that no one knows much about but I am sure we will find out more in the upcoming books. I love how it is written in not just the two main characters POV but also from other characters as well! We get to see the romance and love between the couple and then we get amazing drama that spans throughout the series! I really loved this book so much and cant wait to get started on the next!
Another excellent edition to the series and I enjoyed Inessa and Eoghan’s journey to happiness very much. This is an arranged marriage and age gap mafia romance. Inessa is just eighteen to Eoghan’s thirty there alliance arranged to bring together the Irish and the Russians. Neither wants the match and Eoghan has been relentless in his avoidance of meeting his future bride through the whole of their two-year engagement.
Their wedding day brings home the permanence of this new bond there’s no divorce in their world and Eoghan is livid to discover the bruises marring his new wife’s beauty. No one hurts what’s his and whoever is responsible will pay in blood even if it means potential war.
Eoghan is a former sniper and now undertakes jobs for hire whilst heading security for his mob family. He’s set in his ways and initially a bit bemused by his child bride and what they could ever have in common. But Inessa is no Shrinking Violet and she has a manner that seems to fit him they also have some incredible chemistry and he finds to his surprise there is a lot more to her than meets the eye. She hasn’t had it easy and with his punishment of her father he easily wins her allegiance
This has the usual danger and darkness but the relationship at its centre isn’t that way. Through both originally opposed to their joining they find themselves happy together.
Inessa is surprisingly mature probably considering her background and accepting of the lifestyle. Eoghan also represents protection and a freedom she wasn’t expecting and rather than her marriage being a new prison it’s actually an escape from her father and a whole new beginning.
This had plenty of heat and planted breadcrumbs for future books which I will definitely be readings a fabulous well-written addition to the series as a whole.

Oh my word this book is amazing! I love, love Inessa! She is so strong despite everything she has gone through. Having a marriage arranged and being forced to marry a complete stranger on your 18th birthday would be difficult for anyone, but she handles it with grace and with the thought that anything is better than what she had been dealing with. Finding a guy who is willing to fight for her, even if he isn’t sure about her at first, makes it all the better. Together they are phenomenal and the heat jumps off the pages. I cannot wait to see what happens next in this amazing world that Serena Akeroyd has created!
I fell hard for Eoghan and Inessa!
Filthy Rich is another fantastic story in The Five Points Mob Collection series! It is the perfect blend of steamy moments and danger as the dynamics of this interesting family continue to play out and the associations between other mafia families are constantly shifting.
From an arranged, age-gap marriage to finding common ground and onto a connection with feelings they never expected, Eoghan and Inessa’s story will keep you engaged from the beginning to the end! Enjoy!
This book was Fantastic. I was hooked on it from the very first page and I could not put it down no matter what needed to be done. It moves along at a speed which makes for an enjoyable read. The characters are so real that you feel as though you know them and no matter what you want to be there for them. This is a must read and needs to be on your list of books to read. There is no doubt about it.
There’s something about audibooks that makes the whole experience more immersive and Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott as Eoghan and Inessa are just perfect. Serena Akeroyd is a genius and this story has all elements to make you feel part of the story. A definite must listen for any fan of romance that likes an actual story line with the steam.
Even though I have read all of the Feckers and Sinners, I found that I understood some of the nuances more by listening.
“You’ll dance in their blood if you want to.”
Filthy Rich was such a great listen! Wen Ross was an engaging and expressive narrator for Eoghan and Kai Kennicott paired sweetly as Inessa. Serena Akeroyd’s storytelling is superb, and this book continues the series with an arranged marriage trope that’s full of suspense, seduction, and dynamic characters. We get a little bit more of the O’Donnelly family members with each book, and the author does such a great job of building the characterization of each other these people. Eoghan is tough, violent, and surprisingly protective. Inessa is young and beautiful, with a tough spine of steel and very adaptive, making the best of her situation. They’re enemies and different in every way, but their union shows they have similarities that would could totally make this marriage work. I loved hearing Wen and Kai narrate this story, and they went through so many emotions: surprise, anger, passion, and fear. I also really loved the pacing and volume of the reading as well, and it allowed me to follow along with the plot easily. Overall, I highly recommend the audio version, and the narrators truly highlights the excellent plot and bring to life such spirited characters!
This book was smokin hot! I could not put it down once I started it. I also listened to the audible. The narration took it from hot to a level where I was jealous I wasn’t born into the Russian mob. Coming back to reality after reading this was a let down. lol
Filthy Rich
(Five Points’ Mob Collection #2)
Written by: Serena Akeroyd
I can’t stay away from Hell’s Kitchen and in this case I might even wander over to Brighton Beach, because book two is all about Eoghan and Inessa, which means the signed promise of Adian Donnelly’s youngest son Eoghan (Owen) and Antoni Vasov’s daughter is on, she’s finally turned 18. The fact that Eoghan is 30 and Inessa has just turned 18 means there is a 12-year age gap, it’s not going to matter, this wedding is taking place!
Eoghan has not walked lightly into this marriage. For the past two years he has avoided meeting his bride to be. The little fecker! Instead, his brother Declan has visited with her family on Eoghan’s behalf. This means Inessa has learned about her almost husband from his brother. Forget what Eoghan does for a living (and when she uses his background to try to stop the wedding), things don’t go well for her. If you know the Five Points men you know that they respect women, they don’t touch them in any way that would leave a bruise, you respect women. In reality there is only one thing that Inessa really wants from Eoghan, she wants to be able to trust him and oddly that is what Eoghan wants as well.
So it’s on the issue of trust, we readers get to watch what is coming down, not just for this couple, but for the Russian Bratva, the Italian’s and of course the Five Points men.
Serena Ackeroyd again allows us to see how two totally opposite people navigate their arranged marriage and turn trust into hot steamy night, a payback from Eoghan on his wife’s behalf and a few other situations that arise. We get to spend time with the Donnelly family and also with the O’Grady family.
I love these little feckers more with every book I read, I can’t wait for the next one.
Filthy Rich was my very first Serena Akeroyd read and it was NOT a disappointment. From the very first page Eoghan and Inessa’s story grabs your interest and doesn’t let go. This is definitely a tale of opposites attract, Eoghan coming from Five Points Irish mob and Inessa from the Russian Bratva. However, they will soon learn that they aren’t really that different at all. Readers are in for an epic ride as they watch these two characters fight their building attraction to one another and interact with the rest of the O’Donnelly clan. This book is another example of Akeroyd’s amazing ability to build amazing worlds and create awesome characters. You will definitely not be disappointed with this book!
*The recently released audiobook version does not disappoint! Kai and Wen are utterly perfect as Inessa and Eoghan! You will not be disappointed with this listen!**
Filthy Rich
Another amazing read from author Serena Akeroyd. The Five Points are in for a rough ride of emotions, but knowing if they should give in or not . Love how the women doesn’t give up on their men, it takes them a while to get where they need to be but they do it together
So filthy and dirty and still swoony. Loved all the changes in POV. We got Brennan. We got a little Declan, aela, of course the mains Inessa and Eoghan. Loved how they rallied to be in each other’s corner. Eoghan really took to being her protector and I loved every time he stood up to her POS father. She was young and innocent but hardened to this way of life. They each brought out the best in the other and allowed them to grow. Loved it. Can’t wait for Declan’s book. Wow. What a bomb to be dropped.
So lets move on to book two. Oh man does this one get interesting. So we have the youngest of the O’Donnelly’s and he is not happy. Why because he is being forced to marry a bratva princess. Well this could be a disaster. Eoghan is a very possessive man and he likes things certain ways. It has a lot to do with him getting hand me downs. So when he was able to have his own things and place it is very particular. Now he tried to fight the contract of marriage but his dad was not having it. Let’s meet Inessa, the bratva princess. Her childhood was rough die to her dad. He is a d-bag. Gah he deserves to be taken out. But when Eoghan sees her for the first time and sees the bruises under all the make up. Then there is a spark that ignites and slowly burns. We got a lot of suspense, some action, a slow burn. So what happens when Eoghan says Inessa is his. Oh well it is in every way. He didn’t think that he would not fall in love with her but that is not the case. This book is just as good and intense. A great follow up in the series.
Well I’m in love with this world and these Five Points men. To be honest I thought Eoghan was such a douche in the beginning, yes I know arranged marriages would be so awkward, but he quickly changed my mind! Such a tight knit family taking care of each other the way they do without question. These brothers are the perfect possessive alpha holes! But that ending…yeah I’m running to the next book!
Loved this series. So addictive!
Eoghan and Inessa
I really enjoyed every second of this book. This couple is together through an arranged marriage, in order to bring the bratva and Irish families together.
Eoghan has never taken the time to get to know his bride, so when he notices her bruises on their wedding day he vows to make them pay.
After a great reading experience with the Dark and Dirty Sinner’s MC series, I couldn’t help but follow the recommended reading order and migrate over to the Five Point’s Mob Collection series. Filthy Rich didn’t disappoint. This age-gap arranged marriage romance made me totally addicted to this tight knitted Irish mob family. The well-developed main characters, the exciting plotlines, and the wonderful cast of side characters made the book so entertaining and enticing.
Eoghan and Inessa didn’t want the arrange marriage that their parents had agreed upon to bond the two rivalry crime families. They tried to fight it but they both know there was no escaping their fate. I applaud their courage to make the best out of a woeful situation with an opened-mind. As they got to know each other, they never expected to find their perfect match in each other.
There was a nice balance between the Eoghan and Inessa’s romance and the dangerous and calculating crime business. The dealing of the different perilous situations showcased the closeness between the O’Donnelly brothers. Each brother had their own strength and demons and I cannot wait for their own story.
I loved that the author had interwoven familiar characters from previous books within the series and from different series. I was giddy when I saw some familiar name dropped from the Dark and Dirty Sinners’ MC. We got a hint of what was to come for Decan. I am totally hooked in this interconnected MC and Irish Mob world. I’m definitely going to continue on this heart-pounding journey with them.
Really it was more the ending than the overall book. It’s like she rushed to the end. Really no wrapping up the story. It went from the male lead professing his love to his woman to teasing the next book in the series. Disappointed because the first book was so good.
