“What they don’t know is that the hardest hearts are forged in fire. With their cruelty and their jokes and their laughter, they’ve forged me into something spectacular.”
Ritch boys (and girls) making everybody else feel like peasants. I couldn’t stop reading, this is so captivating! Loved it.
I know I was late to the party reading this one but if you have somehow missed this book you need to go grab it now. She does warn you the book will be dark and it is but so well done and I’ve grabbed book two. Can’t wait to start it.
Filthy Rich Boys: A High School Bully Romance (Rich Boys of Burberry Prep Book 1)Kindle Edition
by C.M. Stunich (Author)
I borrowed this book via the Kindle Unlimited program and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is my first High School Bully Romance and I am hooked.
Ms. Stunich creates a closed off world in the Burberry Prep School, one that is beautiful on the outside but a terror on the in. Teenagers are pretty much left to run wild, due to their huge fortunes. Except for Marnye. She gets in because of her hard work and the scholarship she has earned.
Ms. Stunich also manages to encapsulate the horrors of high school. The desire to belong, the need to be loved, the feeling of never ever being enough and then that brief moment when you catch a bit of air and seem to be accepted.
Ms. Stunich’s word smithing abilities is are unparalleled! She is able to take the simplest, common phrases like “a cutting glance” and turn it around with a new passion with “blade gray eyes”. I am humbled by her talent.
The intricate plot is laid out carefully, with subtle hints laid throughout the book. I felt like I was trapped in that moment in a horror movie where you scream for the heroine to stay out of the basement, knowing that she HAS to go down there for the story to be complete. Not on scene, not one transaction between characters is ever wasted, not even the simplest of descriptions, be it of Zayd’s myriad of tattoos or Creed’s meaningful glances.
As a survivor of high school (albeit many, many years ago) I can recognize every character, every girl, be it the mean girl who is popular for what she is, instead of who she is, to the boy who acts like he doesn’t care because he cares too much.
I put this book as required reading for new high school students the same way I believe that everyone needs to watch Breakfast Club.
I can’t wait to read the whole series
Four stars out of Five.

Great series with lots of twists and turns
WOW! I loved this book.
Fantastically written.
I was gripped from the start.
Privileged, entitled bullies.
Marnye is a naive and can be annoying but shes young and got a lot of growing to do which i think we will see throughout this series.
The ending of this book is brutal and i really felt for Marnye.
Cant wait for the next book, i really hope she gets her revenge on them.
*Groans* OMFG this is freaking brilliant!
Filthy Rich Boys is captivating, angsty, nail biting and addictive. I was utterly enthralled with these characters and their story.
Maryne is one tough girl, and I loved watching her bite back at the guys and didn’t show how much they were really getting to her. I am ready to dive into Bad Bad, Blue Bloods and see Maryne get her revenge.
YA like I didn’t expect
This was definetly more slow burn from what I am used to from this author but it definetly set the premise for a great story, normally I am not one for YA books and I been warned the next one books will be more heated.
This is a HS set book and so our characters are immature, however author CM stunich has made it possible to be intrigued by the situations arrising in this story, wanting more of our courageous heroine who lives thru some tough, unfriendly decions her peers and posible love interest make.
Wow. My heart aches for what Maryne is out through. There is wonderful character and world development. Maryne is such a resilient person and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
I’m at a loss for words right now. The story is quite addictive, the characters are awful and unlikeable (well most of them) and the bullying so real. I was unsure of the four main characters and my feelings towards them, I will have to read the next books before making a decision.
The one thing that didn’t work for me was the character’s are supposed to be 15 years old. They drive, have fill body tattoos, drink, smoke, party, and have lots of sex. For me the age doesn’t work and makes me cringe a little, so in my mind I just make them freshmen in college and I could enjoy the story.
I bought this on a whim as it was recommend by a few people, a trusted author and getting great reviews. It starts out okay but really takes off and ends on an extremely high (emotional) note. I can’t wait to read the next, Bad Bad Bluebloods. I NEED to know what’s next, like I said adductive!!
5 SPOILED HOT GUYS STARS!! Wow, this book is a page Turner. I could not put it down. I felt like I just got off a rollercoaster with all the ups and downs, twist and turns this book takes us on. I loved everything about this book. These guys you will love and hate them. I can’t wait to read the next book.
Wow. I am glad I didn’t go to prep school. This story is insane and I enjoyed every second of it. A group of elites upset by a scholarship kid focus on getting her to leave and doing it in a heinous manner. Marnye Reed is hell bent on using this opportunity to the fullest to improve her situation in life, no matter how hard it is. The scenarios she is put into are cruel and make you cringe. The Idols make it their personal mission to take her out, and the events that take place kept me glued to my seat. Love it. Can’t wait for book 2.
Wow!!!!!
I already knew this book was going to be about bullying at the start of the book what I didn’t like was what the prologue implied it made the book too predictable. Which kinda ruined for me. I however like the slow burn of the story I know for sure that the next book is going to be phenomenal. I can’t wait to read about Marnye growing a backbone and getting the revenge she deserves. One thing I was confused about was for someone who came close to the end Marnye was kinda spineless and very naïve trying so hard to fit in with ” IN CROWD”. I was expecting her to be this fierce baddie I could already predict what was going to happen to her I was screaming at my kindle like don’t fall for it Marnye. I also felt like Marnye was very much a hypocrite and got what was coming to her with Miranda. How could she even consider finishing that bet she made with Creed fully knowing that it would put a strain on a friendship she couldn’t emotionally afford to lose I didn’t blame Miranda for being mad. Then she had the nerve to be mad at Zayd for finishing his bet however different those bets were they still screwed with someone’s life. Either way I’m still anxious to see what else is in store for this series.
I am OBSESSED with this series!!!
As soon as I finished book 1, I immediately inhaled book 2 . . . and didn’t get any work done. (Whoops. Sorry/Not Sorry.) Now I am chomping at the bit for book 3!
As despicable as the Idol boys are, thank goodness they have some redeeming qualities. But I’m Team Marnye 110%. Out of the fire into the frying pan. She survived hell and worked her butt off to get where she is. I love this chick! I love that no matter how many times she shatters, she glues the pieces together and holds her head high. She turns lemons into strawberry lemonade. She’s turning into one of my favorite high school heroines of all-time.
Love this Dirt Poor Kickass Girl! xoxoxoxox
Filthy Rich Boys is a TRUE bully romance, that’s for sure! Marnye, our main female character, earns herself a scholarship, and heads to Burberry Prep hoping for a new beginning, but instead is provided with a rude awakening. She had figured nothing could be worse than the experience she had at the school she was in prior, but she was quickly proven how wrong that assumption was.
The idol’s from her new school, ran by three boys, Tristan, Creed and Zayd, and their “inner circle” are devoted to making Marnye realize just how badly she isn’t wanted. She is “charity”. The “Working girl”. They make it well known that they don’t need charity in their school, and have continued to do all they can to destroy her, and what little reputation she may have had. This book is filled with tension and angst like you wouldn’t believe. One second things may seem all is okay, and the next, Marnye is fighting to remain a student in Burberry Prep.
No matter how much the boys and their inner circle try to break Marnye down, the harder she fights to prove her worth. This book’s strong heroine is such a treat, and she doesn’t care about anything other than the goals and dreams she has for her future. If you haven’t given this book a chance yet, please do. There is so much to experience, and it offers an ending that will have you screaming for revenge!
Omg! Completely fantastic! Marnye and the Idols blew away anything I’ve read so far, the intensity the drama the heat wow!! Go and read this!! Words cant express how damn good it is!!
Marnye is a scholarship student in a world full of the kids of the rich and powerful. From day one she becomes the target of the Bluebloods – the boys and girls that run the campus as if they are royalty and get away with it. The things the top three boys put her through are horrible but I love that she is strong enough to keep her head up and not surrender. This book sucked me in and took me on a roller coaster ride of emotions right along with Marnye. I’m struggling with love/hate feelings for these guys even days after reading this. Seriously one of the best books I’ve read in a while and I can’t wait to see how she gets her revenge!
