I had no idea what to expect from this book. I’ve read this author before and I loved her previous books. I’m glad to say I was pleasantly surprised at the plot and how things played out in the story. Was quite a long read and progressed slowly, in my opinion. But it didn’t diminish from the beautifully intense story and characters, and it was well worth it. It’s a sexy and complex read, because I don’t know how else to describe it. All I know is that the relationship and banter these characters share is something to be envious about. It made me feel things and I still can’t decide if I liked those feelings or not.
I’m obsessed with this story though. It’s the kind of subtle story that stays with you, lingers in your mind and makes you question things. It’s also extremely filthy, which is a bonus if you ask me. The sexual tension is ridiculous. I did get confused a few times whilst reading and was in some parts, disappointed at the build up because I was expecting a lot more from this. But I still loved it. If you’re into new adult romance filled with love triangles, sexual chemistry and mischief, this is the read for you.
Oh, the angst in this book!!!! I felt so much reading this book. It was hard but worth it.
The growth and turmoil that Gray, Donovan, and Liam go through. For 3 who have so much, you realize that they really have so little in the things that count. It made me ponder what impact am I having on my own children. The 3 were hurt by those who were supposed to always fight for them.
They all had to grow up so young and used coping mechanisms that were not the greatest. I did become uncomfortable a few times because of their age. They are 17 and 18, and a few flashbacks where they are younger. I know based on how they grew up psychologically it made sense that they responded the way they did, that their emotions were so raw, but at the same time, I was uncomfortable.
That being said, the journey was incredible. Hard. But worth it.
This book was a roller coaster ride for me. I went from “This book is so far a 3 star read” to “Okay this is getting interesting so 4 stars” to “FUCK IM GOING TO GIVE THIS BOOK 5 FUCKING STARS FOR THIS SCENE” to “what, nope. Going back to 4 stars”
So Donovan, Grey and Liam are childhood friends, they get separated when they are 12ish because Donovan’s parents get divorced and she moves to Spain with her mother.
5 years later she is back and reunited once again with her boys, who are hell bent on moving out from the friend zone. The years Donovan was apart, she was a complete mess and she believes that once the boys get to know about her “mysterious past” they wouldn’t look at her the same way.
Now this was something that was being brought up again and again in the book, equally to the amount of times the word “Friends” was being brought up. It came to a point where I literally wanted to punch Donovan for just saying the word “Friend” like HUNNNYYYYY ”friends” don’t like kissing each other or friends don’t go down on each other. Also was her past fucked up? I mean yeah okay fine we can say it was.
Spoilers Ahead
Also when I started the book I thought the whole premise of the book is supposed to be about who Donovan would pick right? but we literally already know who it is from the start because we only get to read 2 POV’s. Donovan’s and Grey. So it’s pretty obvious that Grey is the love interest and poor Liam never had a chance. And also when you read the book it’s pretty obvious that Donovan connects with Grey on a deeper level than Liam. So again, he never stood a chance.
Now Grey was always confident that it was going to me him, until Chapter 24 where all hell broke loose. Omg that was like my favorite chapter from the entire book. After that chapter I was like FIVE FUCKING STARS BECAUSE FUCK YOU GREY.
Okay so let’s just say Caroline (Grey’s step sister/Donovan’s nemesis/now friend?) filled Grey’s ears and then Grey thought he saw Donovan with Liam and assumed she chose him over her and was fucking pissed so he took his revenge. And holy shit did that shit hurt. Fuck that was the chapter that I actually finally had a soft spot for Donovan because Grey took things too far in the cafeteria. And omg some of the iconic lines from that chapter
First from my Liam baby to Caroline who filled Grey’s ears because she wanted Liam all to herself.
“ Let’s go. It’s enough now, Van. Fuck him. Fuck her. And you—” He scowls, looking at Caroline. “—you aren’t the girl I thought you were. I don’t know what you did, but I choose Van.”
Ahhhh that’s what I call a nice slap on the face. Fuck iconic moment.
And then Donovan baby’s reply to Grey. Fuck I loved her after this.
”I wish I could hate you. I want to hate you… Donovan…. don’t leave with him.”
I push his hands from me, looking into his deep chocolate eyes. “I would rather have my heart broken by him than ever be loved by you.”
This chapter was my favorite because I got my heart broken here by Grey. And now I was waiting for the groveling because literally hours after the whole cafeteria incident Grey had gone batshit crazy that Liam and another friend of theirs had to lock him in his room and basically guard him so that he doesn’t go to Donovan. Because Grey was hellbent I’m seeing her and begging for forgiveness.
”Are you here to stop me from getting to her? Because nothing will stop me from getting to what’s mine. You aren’t standing in my way.”
And Donovan does forgive him, literally immediately which I did not like AT ALL. Like she should have let him stay batshit crazy for at least a week. Like COME ON GIRL. And Liam agrees with me too.
”In the cafeteria… He treated you like dirt, Van. Likened you to a whore and…” His eyes move away as his words trail off. He can’t even look at me. “Why can’t you hold him accountable”
Liam baby said it all. So that’s why I went from five stars to four……
But overall I did enjoy the book Grey and Liam were my favourite. Donovan was a 50-50 for me. And Caroline. I still hate her… bitch also needs to redeem herself.
Wow. Don’t know what to say!
I saw this was a menage and a love triangle and I said, I NEED this book NOW! I adore both of these tropes! But I am not exactly sure I was prepared for this one!
Usually, when there is a love triangle, I have someone I am rooting for. Someone that I want to come out the winner in the end. But in this one, I couldn’t decide and found myself going back and forth and back and forth. My feelings were all over the place!
Filthy Little Pretties grabbed me right from the start and never let go. I loved the friendships, the fighting, the drama, the passion—I just loved it all. This book grabbed from page one and took me on a ride that I wasn’t expecting but one I wanted never to end.
This book made me want to pick up and read every last one of Trilina Pucci’s books! It was that great!
Filthy Little Pretties is a gem! Childhood friends that haven’t seen each other in five years are reunited as rich and entitled high schoolers. This story is full of angsty teenage drama, and I loved it! So much drama and tension, secrets and witty banter. It has it all. Donovan is super feisty, Grey and Liam are protective and fierce. A deliciously emotional story I couldn’t put down. My first read by the author, but definitely not the last.
Gossip Girl meets Cruel Intentions.
Grey is the man!! I love him sooo fucken much. He is the definition of Alpha-bad-boy-Sweetheart okay, so I’m not sure this is an actual definition but it describes him and he is amazing .
Grey totally made this book.
Some of the other characters actions got on my nerves. Especially Donovan (h)
This was a rollercoaster. At times slow at times intense.
It’s a good enough read.
Nothing Unforgettable except GREY
Trilina Pucci is back and with a new genre. YA dark bully romance.
There’s so much angst, drama and hurt in this book. The sexual tension is off the charts, and anticipation is the key word here.
I love the friendship between these 3, which began in early ages. Until Donovan had to move away with her mother.
5 years later and she comes back. Same school as Grey and Liam are, and the pack is back together.
Do they still feel the same about each other? Are they still best friends or are they more?
Tiny trigger warning: there’s alcohol and drug intake during this story, so be aware.
I could not put this book down! I couldn’t get enough of the chemistry or the drama. The will they, won’t they, push and pull that’s going on had me hooked. I love an angsty romance, I purposely look for them and Filthy Little Pretties had more than enough angst to keep me happy. I loved these characters from the start. Their friendship is something special and the bond they share seems unbreakable but is it really? Teenage hormones, old feelings brought back to life and a friendship that’s on the line, I couldn’t get enough!!
This is a great book, no review I write will do it justice. I lost myself for hours reading about Donovan, Liam and Grey and loved every second of it. Go grab a copy now and fall in love with these three characters.
This book crushed my soul before it put me back together. Every single feeling I have was obliterated before this book was done. But I couldn’t stop reading it! I had to know what was going to happen, from page to page. The twists, the angst, the moments of pure despair. The sensual and sweet and funny and lighthearted. All of it! I never wanted it to end ,but I couldn’t wait to get to the end to see how it ended! GAH!
This is the story of Donovan, Grey and Liam. Three rich best friends from elite and powerful families whose friendship will be tested in the ultimate way. One beautiful girl, two gorgeous guys, both different in many ways, but also the same in their life’s mission to protect love and care for her. She loves them both, but only one can truly hold all of her heart, and the other will be left standing with his heart in his hand. There is only one that can and will be able to truly own her mind, body, heart and soul. Which one will it be Grey McCallister or Liam Brooks?
“First, Last and Only!“
Grey and Liam are two best friends as close as brothers. They are always number one and two. They will do anything and give up anything for the other, except when it comes to Donovan. For the first time in their lives they each found something he wasn’t willing to sacrifice for his best friend. They both also knew ultimately who was the best man for her, but would the other step aside and let “him” be the one to go after her?
“Every girl has one—the crush who set the standard. I just have two.”
The struggling was real y’all and raw and oh my gosh. My heart felt it every time one lashed out in hurt or punishment towards another. I felt it down to my bones. That’s how much I fell for these characters. There are places where you feel like it’s slice after slice to an artery and just when you think you couldn’t possibly bleed more. Trilina patches you back up all perfectly in the end. I promise these characters are gonna stick with you long after you have clicked that Kindle off.
I refuse to give anything specific details of this story away because to do so would be such a disservice to both this brilliant author and to you the reader. It is sure to be one of my top reads this year. This was my first read by Trilina Pucci and I’m amazed and awed by her attention to every single detail and emotion she was able to capture in the book and evoke in me as a reader. While this may have been my first read of hers I can assure you this will not be my last. If you are fans of friends-to-lovers/Love triangles with a touch of bully romance, and you also happen to love twists, angst, frustration and shockingly frustrating moments. This is the book for you!
*I voluntarily reviewed an advanced complimentary copy of this book!
My Cr8zysockbookblock blog wrap up for this book!
– This book had me from paragraph one. I was unable to put this book down. I was in it y’all. I had to know what was going to happen, how this would play out. My heart needed to know. My poor feels needed to know. I FLOVE VAN, GREY, AND LIAM!! This is so much bigger than a Five Star Read. (See that extra star)
-As far as actual, get full on busy it’s a slow burn with tons of licious tension! There is one scene fairly early that is holy hot!! But then you have to wait a minute for another BUT it’s so worth the wait! Good gracious is it with it! Hot dang!
Cliffhanger Warning-No Cliffhanger! After you are turned upside down and inside out and spinned every which a way around you get a HEA Ending!
Whenever I see love triangle anywhere in the synopsis or in teasers, I know my greedy little hands has got to get a hold of that book.
Filthy Little Pretties is about three best friends who’s relationship ends up having one of them split up and move away to another country and left two of them alone. Although they all never stopped thinking about the one that got away, they had no choice but to move on with life not expecting to ever see her again.
Donovan has lived a pretty wild life and has done things that she soon realizes that were wrong and wants to change her ways. She decides to move back in with her father and leaves her toxic mother behind. She realizes that she did the things she did for attention, even though it didn’t seem to work for her. Her father wasn’t any better, he didn’t pay her any attention either but she preferred to come back to the States than to stay in Spain with her mother.
Grey and Liam, Donovan’s best friends never expected to see her back and when they do, they latch on to her for dear life. Neither one wants to let her go and soon jealousy is what destroys these three in the end. Donovan doesn’t make it easy for either boys as she loves to flirt with them both. She decided that she wanted to only stay “friends” with them but soon she realizes that it’s too hard for her to just stay friends.
The real struggle is who will she end up picking in the end. Will it be Grey or Liam or both??
This was such a good book. I read it in one sitting and couldn’t put my kindle down.
The story of these three best friends is one that you will definitely want to read. Filthy Little Pretties was everything I expected it to be and more!
I’m trying to gather my thoughts on what I would like to write. Can I just say it was the shiznit and soooo undeniably 5 freakin stars lol. This was my first story I’ve read from Trilina, it definitely won’t be my last, and now to learn she has a whole Mafia series already out… swoon my #MAFIA heart lol. Anyway back to this delicious story. I love love love that these boys were competing for Donovan… it’s about time that the men compete lol and not the women. Gosh so refreshing and beautifully written. Grey, Liam, and Van have such an incredible bond. You’re not going to want to put this down, you will even be tempted to jump in the author’s inbox to tell her how she has sucked you in ( I didn’t lol… didn’t want to interrupt her sleep). You are going to want to know who Van ends up with. Van’s boo is so intense in his feelings for her. The undeniable steam between them is SCORCHING!!! The secondary characters were hilarious. Trilina is so talented. I’m so glad I found her!!!
Wow! I couldn’t put this book down! These rich kids are seniors at a private school but my god are they mature, confident and commanding. This was such an intense, raw, compelling reading.
“They might think they know me, but I’ve lived more life in the last five years than most people do in a lifetime.”
Donovan Kennedy’s life was fractured when her parents split when she was just 12. Now, five years later, she’s back after years of living in Spain. And, she has grown up good. So have her two best friends, Grey McCallister and Liam Brooks. However, none of them are as innocent as they once were, least of all, Donovan.
“Her gaze is locked on me, and I’m struck by this moment. I think she might be everything I’ve ever wanted.”
Grey had always loved Donovan as kids, but grown-up Donovan is something else. The attraction between them is immediate and visceral. Unfortunately, Liam is an integral part of their beautiful trio. He is Grey’s brother in everything but blood and they’ve shared many things growing up. However, he’s not willing to share Donovan. He wants her all to himself.
“I like Liam, but Grey is different. He’s like an affliction I can’t rid myself of. He’s everywhere – inside my head, and running through my body.”
God! This book really got me! Donovan needed love, friendship and someone in her corner, and she went about it all wrong. There were times when I just wanted to shake her up and shout at her to just give in to the truth about her feelings. Grey was cocky, arrogant, and demanding. I loved his devil-may-care attitude and I adored his absolute certainty that Donovan belonged with him.
This story was incredible sexy, with a twisty plot, and just totally addictive reading!
All the angsty goodness!!! Filthy Little Pretties was EVERYTHING! This book was a roller coaster ride of emotions… full of friendships, family, lots of drama, growing up and young love. The dynamics between Donovan, Grey & Liam was just WOW! So many complicated emotions that will definitely leave your head spinning and you heart hurting… throw in some “can a girl get a fan” off the charts chemistry + all the slow burn… GAH! AHMAZING! My kindle was thrown multiple times ya’ll!
Seriously, Trilina Pucci plays no games with this book… and I loved every single minute of it!

This book was FULL OF DRAMA.
It’s a demonstration of how young people fill voids left by parents who can’t be bothered with their children. The characters are extremely intense. They do lots of naughty things and the relationships are complicated and intertwined.
It’s a love triangle, which is my favorite kind of book. It was a bit like watching a train wreck.
A definite recommendation if you want something gritty and uncomfortable to read.
Trilina Pucci just hit us with all the angst and heartbreak of childhood friendships and first loves….and of course ALL the joys that come with that too. I love reading about childhood friendships turned romance. They might not be my favorite trope but it’s one that I read frequently, so let me just say that Trilina Pucci NAILED IT! It was everything that I imagined it would be.
Donovan, Liam and Grey have been best friends since they were very little but her parents divorce ripped them apart at the age of twelve. After so many years apart, they lost track of each other so when Donovan returns at the age of eighteen everyone is shocked to see her. Donovan, Liam and Grey fall right back into the intense friendship that they had at twelve but now you have to factor in that both these boys love her but one of them is deeply in love with her. Things only get more complicated the closer these three get to each other again and begin pushing past friendship boundaries. Donovan not wanting to break their friendship apart refuses to choose between her two favorite guys; which leaves hearts broken and friendships unraveling. Top this with Donovan’s greatest nemesis now being part of her boys lives is a twist she never saw coming, hates but deals with it in a way that shows who the Queen is around there…even though she’s been gone for a bit.
I love these boys and their devotion to Donovan, the relationship between these three is complex but so deep and intense regardless of their time apart. I feel like if a girl was going to have 2 best guy friends these are the perfect ones. Both of these guys are so hotttt, Liam is such a sweet soul but Grey sure makes my heart beat faster with his possessive ways.
I can’t wait to see what Trilina has in store for us in the future, especially when she brings us back into this world. This was my first Trilina book, but I’m already scouring her backlist for more.
I fell completely in love with Donovan, Grey and Liam! It’s the tension, the affection, the chemistry and love for one another both romantically and as friends that got me. I never wanted their story to end. Highly recommend!
Filthy Little Pretties by Trilina Pucci was full of angst, drama and had me captivated from start to finish. Liam, Grey and Donovan grew up together and were friends until the day Donovan left. Now she is back and nothing will be the same. Liam and Grey are happy to have Donovan back, but more than that, they both want her. What follows is a story that will grip you as these characters fight for what they want. I devoured the story as the build-up, chemistry, friendship, and loyalty between these characters crashed together and I loved it!
Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog.
Happy reading!
Ok, I’ll be the first to admit that NA novels are not really my thing. That being said though, I really, really liked this one!! What did you do to me Trilina Pucci??? I was hypnotized by these characters, this story, their EPIC angst and love for each other. Goodness, I couldn’t get enough of them, especially Grey! I think he may be haunting my dreams for some time to come! Whether you’re an NA reader or not, don’t hesitate, grab this new masterpiece from this oh-so-talented author and jump in headfirst for an incredible ride!
“. . .” , ’ .“
This is Trilina’s first NA romance and it’s a combination of first love and friends to lovers. The banter and dynamics between the three main characters was pretty fantastic. It’s a high school romance with lots of sass, angst, fun banter, drama and intense moments. I love it and it had me hook from the very beginning.
In a world of luxury, money and power you could think this elite rich teenagers have it all. In reality they only have each other.
One girl, two guys, three best friends. Growing up together will make them loyal, love and protectiveness more intense, plus decisions more complicated.
Donovan is all sassiness and a spitfire. I love how she commands attention whenever she goes and it’s the only one capable of taming Grey and Liam. I love that underneath all her bravado there’s also a big heart and a girl trying to understand life.
The guys, my guys. One is brooding, power and intensity. The other one is more emotional, fun and sweet but also commanding. I can’t tell you who is who because I want you to discover them as I did. I want a Grey and Liam for myself. I’m such a cougar for this high school romances. Don’t judge people, it’s my guilty pleasure.
There’s great secondary characters in here that made the ride more sweeter. I’m not gonna lie I wanted more of the drama with the parents and definitely more story of some of the secondary characters. We’ll see if Trilina decides to give us more later on.
