From Wall Street Journal best-selling author Ilsa Madden-Mills comes a new full-length STANDALONE novel about HOT British alphas.
A smokin’ hot British player…
A jilted girl…
One night of mistaken identity…
Two weeks before her wedding, Remi Montague’s fiancé drops her faster than a drunken sorority girl in stilettos. Armed with her best friend and a bottle of tequila, she hops a plane to … she hops a plane to London to drown her sorrows before fall semester begins at Whitman University.
She didn’t plan on attending a masquerade party. She sure didn’t plan on waking up next to the British bad boy who broke her heart three years ago–the devastatingly handsome and naked Dax Blay. Furthermore, she has no clue how they acquired matching tattoos.
Once back at Whitman together, they endeavor to pretend they never had their night of unbridled passion in London.
But that’s damn hard to do when you live in the same house…
One night. Two damaged hearts. The passion of a lifetime.

ANGST LOVERS REJOICE! *praise hands*
Filthy English takes the title of my most addicting read of 2016. I couldn’t stop, WOULDN’T stop, until I devoured every last word. It was angst gold, and I only wish I could re-read it for the first time again!
Wow. Just… WOW! From the very first page, I was completely sucked in to Filthy English. There are very few authors who can successfully write a story like this – fated love, hard angst, steam like no other – and Ilsa is one of them. It’s been 2 days since I finished this book and I can NOT stop thinking about it.
If you follow my reviews, then you know how much of an angst lover I am. I love to write it, read it, live in it – it’s my ultimate want in a book. So, I had no idea that’s what I was going to get with Filthy English (my first Ilsa Madden-Mills book) but MAN OH MAN did she deliver! The steam between these pages y’all… *fans self* WHEW! But as much as I loved them together, I loved the moments they tortured each other even more. When she wears the dresses that drive him mad, when he kisses another girl in front of her just to push her buttons… GAH! YES PLEASE!
Both characters were incredibly complex and thought out, which I truly appreciate. Dax is getting tired of being the frat daddy playboy extraordinaire and is looking for more substance in life. He’s on a journey to find purpose, and of course Remi believes in him… which is amazing, but she also drives him insane. She’s the one who got away, but he doesn’t fully understand everything about that story – which makes for an incredible ride until he finds out!
Remi was simply a bad a*s. I loved that she was tall and curvy, had a fierce attitude, and stood her ground when it came to the men in her life. I really felt for her in regard to her a*shat of a fiance, and I definitely felt every ounce of aching pain and lust and love she had toward Dax. These two together… just… FIRE, y’all!
What I loved most about this book was how addicting it was. As a writer myself, it’s very rare that I read a book that makes me not want to stop reading to do my work. This book? I could NOT put it down. I stayed up too late, woke up early to read it, devoured it like my last meal – it was simply incredible. I cherish reads like this!
If you love a well-written love story with angst and steam, this one will be a home run for you, too. 5 OMG-YES-PLEASE stars. Phenomenal!
Everything that happened was expected and it honestly kind of made me dislike both males. I honestly would probably root for the thief if anything. It seemed like he had more balls than every male in this book combined. The male lead was dominant yet a complete pussy. She had to basically work for him the entire time. He just basically asked for sex while she cried about how much she loved him. It kind of pissed me off.
Just when I thought Ilsa’s other book Dirty English was my favorite book she writes about Remi and Dax and I love them just as much as I loved Elizabeth and Declan. The connection between the two characters are cute and heartwarming. I found myself talking to the book, or laughing out loud.
This is my second book by this author and I loved it just as much as the first one I read. It had an enticing storyline that pulled me in from the very beginning. Once again, the author gives you well-developed characters that you can relate to. I felt like I knew these characters personally and couldn’t wait to find out what would happen next. I loved the flaws and vulnerability of both the leading characters. It made them all the more human in my mind. For me this was a very enjoyable read. I highly recommend this book. This author is definitely becoming a go-to author for me.
A story inspired by Romeo and Juliet.
Romeo and Juliet is one of those classic tragic love story. I’m afraid this one doesn’t measure up to that at all.
Remi is having a bad day, dumped by her fiancé so decides to hit a masquerade ball with her bestie Lulu. She breaks her ankle and falls into the lap of a guy she had a fling with 3 years ago Dax Blay. Things did not end well for the couple.
I felt like the story was all over the place like they are together, they’re not together, is she with Dax then not then she’s back with her douche ex-fiancé.
I must say the characters saved this story though, I loved Dax and Remi they have great chemistry but the indecisiveness the back and forth will they or won’t they was very annoying and frustrating to read. The secondary characters were good too, Lulu and Spider. I thought this an okay read.
What a beautiful, intense and very emotional love story. I loved it from beginning to end. I definitely recommend this book, this series and this author.
The narrators were wonderful as well.
Wow, Dax! He gave me all the feels. All the sexiness and protectiveness of his alpha twin, but also awesome sense of humor. Another beautiful story with beautiful characters that deserve their happily ever after.
Oh lord love a duck!!! So I really wish that I could give more than 5 stars for this book just like Dirty English it just seems so inadequate. This book is about Dax Blay and it kinda picks up where Dirty English left off just more about Dax. We really get to see into Dax’s head, heart and soul and lord how he will make you fall head over hills for him. Remy is such a strong and sassy woman. And she’s ran into Dax before and was left heartbroken. I’m not going to tell you much about this book because you need to be able to read and absorb all the feelings on your own. You will laugh and you will cry and you will be so turned on you might need a cold compress but it will all be worth it. You do not have to read Dirty English to be able to read this but I highly recommend you do. I mean these two books are about sexy tatted British twins, I mean that’s all you really need to know..lol
I know this is kinda a weird review but I can’t seem to find the proper words to describe just how good this book is!!! It will suck you in from the very first sentence to the last and it will be hard to put it down if you can at all. The characters are so well developed, even the secondary characters are. I love how Mrs.Madden-Mills strings her words together to bring such an amazing story from her very first book to this latest. If you haven’t read anything by her all I have to say is WHAT? and you need to start asap. I highly recommend this book it is smoking hawt!!!!
I enjoyed this book a lot, more so than Dirty English. I loved Dax way more than Declan. He just seemed to have a bit more depth to him, which made him more relatable. I loved the twist of Dax & Remi’s past – definitely didn’t see that coming! Glad that at the end, Remi was open and honest with her ex-fiancé (whom I did not like one bit)….and they had an amicable breakup and seemed to be on their way to remaining friends. Overall, a good read with some fun, hot, romantic scenes! Will definitely read more from this author!
Really enjoyed this book!
I finished this book in a day, and I don’t do that often. This book kept me turning the pages to see what was around the bend, had me yelling at the characters, and laughing with them too. Just enough steamy without being vulgar! Great weekend read and guilty pleasure.
Just the right amount of heartbreak, heat, romance, and lust to keep the pages turning. Will read this one again because both Remi and Dax are enjoyable to visit again.
Loved this book. Totally recommend.
Loved this book
Loved both of the British boys!
I do wish writers would use better vocabulary rather than the f bombs
Great book. Characters were strong and well developed. I purchased a second book from the series but I liked that they are all stand alone too.
Loved the first book. The problems started with the 2nd installment. It ended almost exactly as the first. I couldn’t even bring myself to read the 3rd. I’m sad to say this because book 1 was really good!
I read a lot of books, but I enjoyed this one because the story sneaks up on you, If you like romance, you will love this book.
Couldn’t put down. Read it in 24 hrs
