Good story with action and twists
—>>> Having just jumped into this second book of The Hunted series, I nevertheless got a good feeling for most of what must have gone on in the first. Mia is a trained hunter with extraordinary abilities, and Bryce is a vampire, her intended prey. They are supposed enemies to each other but finding themselves drawn to each other, they now are BOTH being shot at in the latest attack, and Mia finds herself separated from Bryce and looking for clues to the missing girls and to find those responsible for hunting them. What they uncover is nothing they had ever expected. Good story with action and twists.
This is book 2 in The Hunted Series. This is a really great read with a great storyline. It’s well written with great characters that are well developed. A book that pulls you in and keeps you hooked. I recommend reading.

I get that there are bad Vampires and good Vampires. I understand that Mia is a vampire slayer and Bryce is a vampire. I understand that they are falling in love and trying to find answers about who is trying to kill them. I just don’t understand why it takes three books to find the answers. People that should be dead are alive. Curing a vampire, never heard it done before. Maybe it could happen in the next story. The story is interesting and keeps you reading but I have more questions than answers and I read the first book. I gave it a 4 cause the story moved but I don’t like reading cliffhangers. Not my cup of tea. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
So much is happening in this second installment with twist and turns i didn’t see coming. Who is trying to kill them? Fast-paced, this story kept me on the edge of my seat and riveted to my Kindle. Fantastic and quick read that i’ve devoured in one sitting perfect for my busy schedule these days. Can’t wait to read more of Mia & Bryce story but also Lucy & Tate that is coming next!!

An explosion was burning Irvin’s house as Mia tried to get to him through the flames to save him. Bryce told her it was too late, but she had to try. She couldn’t let him die like that. So she punched Bryce, knocking him to the ground. The heat was tremendous and she was having trouble getting close, her skin scorching, when Bryce tackled her to the ground. He held her back as she cried. Then he tensed, knowing someone else was still here, as a bullet whizzed past them. Bullets kept coming as Bryce dragged her back to the car. She still didn’t trust Bryce, thinking he gave information on her and her friends to his psychotic father! They argued back and forth, Bryce denying his father would do this. Then his face paled as he told her someone was following them. The rear window shattered, and Bryce, already bleeding from the earlier attack, was shot in the head and passed out as Mia grabbed the steering wheel. Their car went off the road and Bryce was too heavy for her to carry him while unconscious, even though she knew the vampire was not dead.
With Bryce being attacked as well, perhaps he was right and they needed to find out who put the hit on them. Two men exited the car that had chased them and they didn’t know Bryce had loaned her some of his vampire strength and speed. So she acted meek and let them approach. Then she grabbed the one as the other shot at her, spinning so quickly with the first guy that he was shot twice in the chest. She staked his partner, then came back and incapacitated the first guy. She tried to find out who sent him, but he either couldn’t or wouldn’t tell her, and he pulled her stake into his own chest and died. The sun was rising, so she grabbed a blanket and dragged Bryce to the car, covering him to protect him from the sun until they found shelter.
She still blames Bryce’s father, Joseph, but Bryce doesn’t believe it. They need to join forces and find out the truth. Surprises await them, but their lives depend on finding out the truth, even if it’s something they didn’t really want to know.
This was an exciting, fast-moving story that keeps the reader’s attention. Mia is unsure who to trust, but she needs help and Bryce so far has been worthy of her trust. Where will their adventure lead them now? What secrets will they be unearthing that will shake up their world? Grab your copy and join in the adventure!
Some questions will be answered but more answers to be found. The hunt is on.
