“Once I started this book I couldn’t put it down. Jesse and Zoe’s story is beautifully written, thank you Gianna Gabriela. It’s a must read.”Jesse Falcon has dedicated his life to one cause: to fight against that which has taken so much from him. He’s learned the hard way that if you want something to be done, you have to do it yourself. No more waiting for others to make a difference. With … difference.
With football, a pre-med program and a coveted internship, he has no time for anything or anyone else. The truth is, he doesn’t think his barely healed heart can take it.
Despite his determination to remain distant, he soon finds a girl who will not only fracture that resolve but shatter it completely.
Zoe Evans is an average college student.
She has a group of friends, and enough gossip lingers in the halls to make her days interesting.
Her whole world changes in a heartbeat though – one blackout, and a week-long fever forces her into a battle she isn’t prepared to fight.
The odds are stacked against her.
Will she have the strength to prevail?

Second book in this series and just as enjoyable as the first one. This one starts off with a bang. Definitely has you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what is going to happen.Jessie is an intern at the hospital working with patients that have cancer . That is where he meets her. Zoe is in and out of the hospital dealing with cancer . The two become friends. But is it more than that? Absolutely loved the storyline the characters the amazing chemistry. Some very tender moments in this book. Not at all what I was expecting. It was better.Enjoyable from beginning to end. Gianna did a great job with this story line. I recommend reading this one.
What can I say Gianna created a heartfelt story far more emotional than anything she written. But sadly I saw the in between of beginning to end before it happened. Even with that it slight downfall I still found that it was an enjoyable, quick read.
The characters are likable people to an extent. I wasn’t always fond of the seemingly back and forth with themselves in their own minds, even though it made sense for it to be.
I enjoyed the reentry of past characters but I felt that Colton our main book beau from Better with you came off as a bit of an A**.
But this review is about Falcon and Evans. I did enjoy their story. The way they met and the second chance they received.
The second chance that they both received made sense to have them paired off. Gianna clearly took care to capture the authenticity of the illness. She took great care to handle it in as sensitive of a matter as she could.
I loved meeting Jesse Falcon. His dedication to himself was refreshing the same with Zoe Evans. Both stories came together as one and yet they both could break you down in different ways. Welling of the eyes will happen maybe even a tear or two shed.
Despite the pain in the back stories the two merging into one is aesthetically pleasing. You will need tissues. There are a handful of very heartfelt moments the really bring the story alive and reminds us that love can be found in any circumstance.
This book gave me all the feels. From the very first page I was drawn into Jesse and Zoe’s story, until the last page. I found myself very emotional throughout this book. Zoe has been through so much in her life and I was really rooting for her throughout the book. She is such a strong woman and she never lets her illness define her. Jesse is pretty closed-off and likes to keep to himself but the second he meets Zoe, there is a connection he cannot deny. As the story went on, I really felt for Jesse and all that he has lost. I literally don’t think there are two characters better suited for one another, then Jesse and Zoe. They not only formed a special bond but they ended up healing each other. Their relationship was a slow progression. They started out as friends and tried to deny the connection they have but ultimately they couldn’t deny their feelings for one another. I loved every second of this book and I wasn’t only invested in Jesse and Zoe’s story but the secondary characters stories as well. I can’t wait to see how the rest of the series unfolds.
5-stars!
A sad, but yet a sweet hope-filled story which was written, beautifully!
Gianna has done it again!!! Fighting for you is an emotional, heartwarming book that make you fall in love with the story and the characters. Just like the first book in the Bragan University Series, I couldn’t put this story down until I found out just how it was going to end.
I absolutely loved Jesse and his pushing through the emotions of working in the same hospital in the same unit where he suffered tremendous loss is intense and admirable. Jesse wants so badly to help people and he has that thing about him that makes everyone love him. He commands attention and he will do great things. When he meets Zoe, he was drawn to her banter and wit!! They instantly connect and the friendship that develops makes your heart full. I loved the journey that both Jesse and Zoe took us through and all the emotions that I felt while reading about them is beautiful and wonderful.
This book will make you believe in the goodness of others and see the strength in people. Its a beautiful story and I recommend everyone read it.
Jesse and Zoe’s story was wonderful! We met Jesse in the first book and now we see his story. He is an intern at the hospital that Zoe gets admitted to. They get to know each other during her stay but will their friendship last after they both leave the hospital. This was an emotional story with a great ending. Can’t wait for more!
This is the second book in the Bragan University Series and it’s just as good as Better With You if not better!!
Jesse is starting his internship at the hospital that holds so much pain and memories for him but when he meets one of the patients there he is a bit taken back by her beautiful, sassy self.
Zoe had it all until she got sick with ALL. She hated being sick and isolated from her family while stuck in the hospital but made the best of it. When she meets Jesse her outlook begins to change.

Books with Cancer patients always break my heart. It’s such a horrible disease. This book was well written and I was glad to see Zoe’s journey after the hospital. Sweet, smart and caring Jesse was just what she needed. A beautiful love story.
FIGHTING FOR YOU is book 2 in the Bragan University Series. It does read as a stand-alone and I think character development unfolds naturally so you won’t feel lost.
Jesse and Zoe have a very dynamic story. A few times it made me tear up, which I was not expecting. Their relationship and the relationship that Zoe has with others in this story are relationships we read about (well obviously, this is a book after all).
I am really enjoying reading the stories that are rolling out of Bragan U and as with book 1, I read this story in 1 sitting and moved right on to the next.
5 stars

this book series is a heart warming series that will break your heart and have you crying and needing tissuses. this book will have you crying and warming your heart. this love will have you feeling the emiotions throught this book.
This is the second book in the Bragan University series and it is just as good as the first. This book centers on Jesse and Zoe. Jesse is the kicker for the football team and is pre-med at Bragan. Zoe is fighting cancer and had to drop out of her Sophomore year to get treatment. Over the summer, Jesse is interning on Zoe’s ward and the two have a connection. After Zoe is given the all clear she is anxious to return to Bragan and resume a normal life. Although there is a definite connection between Jesse and Zoe, there seems to be something holding him back from taking that next step and committing completely.
Once again, Gianna Gabriela has surpassed herself. With the depth of the characters, the beautiful flow of the story and the feeling that you want these people to succeed, this story is an absolute must.
This is the second book in the Bragan University series. It is another great read by this author. I love her work. This is Jesse and Zoe’s story. I couldn’t put this book down, I was hooked from the start.
Jesse and Zoe had instant chemistry, they met in the hospital where Jesse was interning and Zoe was a patient. What Zoe didn’t know, was that Jesse had been through this hospital nightmare before. They forge a friendship. Will it go further? There is definite chemistry between Zoe and Jesse, and you can’t help but root for them throughout this entire story. But do they end up together?
I’m hoping there is a book about Chase in the future. I can’t wait to read more about these characters.
The books in this series just keep getting better! The characters are so really and the setting just pops out in my mind. Jesse has had a lot to over come and as he works through things a new kid on the block turns his head. Her name is Zoe. Zoe has recently had many life altering changes happen to her, but is she strong enough to take a leap with Jesse? Can Jesse let go of his past and be there for Zoe when she needs him? You will just have to read to find out.
OMG – I am at a loss for how to write this review. From the Prologue to the very last page this novel was an emotional roller coaster that left me feeling like a just ran a marathon. Anyone who has lost a loved one to cancer or agrees with the statement that CANCER SUCKS needs to read this book. Jesse and Zoe at times broke my heart and at others made me sigh with relief but not before Gianna Gabriela slaughtered my heart. I cannot stress how much of a masterpiece this book was – words just cannot describe. 5 stars are simply not enough.
Jesse Falcon is a pre-med student and a football player who is trying to heal his past loss through learning more medically and becoming a great doctor.
Zoe Evans has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) and no longer knows how much fight she has left in her after cancer has taken away so much from her.
When Jesse and Zoe meet at the hospital the two become friends and soon Zoe is ready to move forward with things she has missed.
Can Zoe move forward with her own life or will she always been seen as the “girl with cancer”? Will Jesse’s own heart be able to move on from the past or will he push Zoe away when she gets too close?
This was such an incredible book filled with lots of emotions that leave you in different states of emotion throughout the book.
I thought Jesse was a great character and I was impressed at his goals and aspirations due to the loss of Hayley. He was working hard at preserving her memory through his schooling and he wanted to make sure no one else went through what he and her family did.
Zoe was an absolutely amazing character and had such an enormous fight ahead of her and I was so proud of her for continuing even when she was ready to give up. Zoe was able to recognize that she had to jump on every opportunity she was given and I was proud of her for deciding to go back to school.
I loved how the friendship between Jesse and Zoe began and how they truly helped each other through things. I was so upset for what Zoe overheard at the football party and how that impacted her and how others viewed her. I loved when Zoe said to Jesse that “being with me won’t bring her back.”
The event towards the end of the book freaked the daylights out of me!!! Huge panic on my account!
The end was awesome when Jesse realized everything and I loved the scene at Hailey’s grave!
Awesome book!!
Gianna knows how to write characters that make you feel. I was hooked since the start, which was my favorite part. I could feel the characters’ pain and struggles. I was rooting for this couple to get together, it took them some time, but I get why and it was the perfect timing, otherwise, it wouldn’t have felt real.
A great story about overcoming all kinds of obstacles.

Another awesome book. I really love this series with each book I’m falling in love with each character. It would wrapped up from the beginning to end. Both struggle with their fears but at the end both win their own battle. Is sweet and easy read with fun characters and not third-party getting in their way. I can’t wait for the next couple.
The storyline was well written, the plot flowed easily from page to page and the characters were very likable, believable and engaging! As I turned each page I felt like Jesse and Zoe jumped from the pages and pulled me right into their story as it unfolded!
GG has done an exceptional portrayal of Jesse and Zoe. The fight they have with her illness and his ghosts. Without spoiling it too much, I really loved this book and the characters, but I didn’t feel the chemistry between the two. In my opinion, they came off as friends more than lovers. Maybe if we read them more together, than apart, I’d get the feels. Maybe we will see more of their budding relationship as the series progresses??
Would I read more from Ms. Gabriela? You bet I will. She improves with each book.
Do I reccomend this book to others?
Definitely YES! Its sweet and light. It gives you all the emotions from people battling with cancer.
