Losing her nearly destroyed me.Reclaiming her is something I’ve waited years for. I can see it in her eyes, feel it in her touch. The desire, the temptation, she needs me just as much as I need her. But there’s something else there, defiance. She’s never forgotten me, after all this time, but has she forgiven me? Turns out she’s forgetting one thing… she’s mine.I’m not letting go this time. … forgetting one thing… she’s mine.
I’m not letting go this time.
Fighting for the Forbidden is the emotional final installment of Tracy Lorraine’s new spinoff trilogy of her Falling series.

Lauren and Ben met when her father introduced them when he married Ben’s mother. Lauren’s father was a manipulative man who stepped on people. Like when he deserted her mother and her. He later married Ben’s mother and the story started. Ben knew what kind of man Lauren’s father was and didn’t like him nor want his mother to marry him. When his step-father moved into their large home, he took over and told Ben he had new rules in place. He also took over the business Ben’s mother and father built up. This book picks up when Ben returns after leaving six years before after a blow-up between his step-father and involvement with Lauren. Considering his age, it took those six years to mature and return home when called because his step-father died. He needed to take over a failing business and care for his mother. He had left Lauren, telling her it was best and to forget him. Now, he wants to resume their relationship. Will Lauren forgive him. I enjoyed reading this straightforward series and had to read in one it was so detailed. A very good book by this author.

This book was so captivating!! Great conclusion to an epic trilogy!!
Lauren Davis has been dating Joe Kingsman while she attempts to heal her heart after Ben left her without a word. But now that he is back she is still ready to guard her heart as she doesn’t want to get hurt again.
Ben left Lauren so may years ago as he was worried about what her father, Nick, would do to him if he stayed. Yet as much as he is trying to reach out to Lauren to explain what happened in the past she won’t have anything to do with him or let him explain.
But Ben won’t go down without a fight and soon an accident leaves him fighting harder than he has ever had to. Can Lauren listen to his apologies and realize how much he truly loves her?
This was such a great conclusion that still had so many twists and turns to leave the reader on the edge of their seat!
In this book I was 100% team Ben as I knew how much he regretted leaving but really felt like he had no choice to protect his mom, Jenny, and Lauren. I was mad that in the last book that Lauren never really listened to how he felt or still never came out and realized the stuff that her dad did. I was definitely mad at Nick for wrecking the company and putting Jenny and Ben in a terrible position.
In this book you see a bit more of the old Lauren after the accident, but she took the chance to leave to recharge when she needed to. I was so happy that she still went when circumstances changed but she was still quite harsh with Ben, even after everything he had been through.
I was totally shocked at a few reveals, including Joe. I had a feeling there was something up but nothing like what we learned in this book.
The end was so awesome and I was very happy for how it all ended! I am definitely wanting more of these characters so a book with Erica next would be great!!

A satisfying ending. I was on edge after the previous books but was put at ease by the end. The devastating journey they have to endure to find happiness is emotional. I felt like I was a witness to the ups and downs of each character. I’m thoroughly pleased with the outcome and excited to know what’s next. Everyone needs to find their forever, including Joe.
This is the third and final installment to Ben and Lauren’s story. The author once again brings strong characters and weaves a story filled with drama and heartbreak, throws in a few twists and turns and a whole lot of emotions and delivers another intriguing read. She does a great job pulling you in and kept me reading till I got a few questions answered and to see a beautiful second chance romance. I loved this book/series and would highly recommend reading.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
Lauren’s dad dies. Ben comes home. All of the lies and deceptions perpetrated by Lauren’s dad are revealed. Lauren tries very hard to blame Ben for what happened, eventually she has to realize that Ben was just as much a victim as she was and forgive him. Ben truly loved Lauren and left to protect her and his mother as he said he would.

I gave the last book a lower rating because of cheating, which I abhor. Well, Tracy Lorraine redeemed herself with book three. This emotional read is definitely one of my favorites that Tracy has written. Ben and Lauren had a long, painful road to travel to get to their HEA. It was hard to put the book down. I’ve already reread the three books together. I loved seeing past characters, and cannot wait for Erica’s story!!! I’m giving all three reads together FIVE STARS!
Tracy Lorraine did a fabulous job on this book. The storyline was amazing with plenty of drama, twists, betrayal, anger, passion, heartbreak, and a slew of buried emotions that work their way to the surface. She definately keeps readers invested once they are hooked at the start. The characters are wonderful, not just Ben and Lauren but supporting folks as well. Ben left Lauren 6 yrs earlier. He was protecting both she and his mother; doing the only thing he thought he could for them. Lauren only saw his betrawal. As the truth comes to light, and Lauren accpets her own truth (not what was fed to her), does she learn if Ben is to be trusted? Can she trust him with her heart?

Finally, the last instalment of Ben and Lauren’s story! Is this the happy ever after that we’ve been waiting for for months?
We last saw everyone when Lauren was reiterating to Ben that she was happy with Joe and sending him away with a flea in his ear. This book picks up right where we left off. Ben’s initial reaction is to flee again, but then he remembers he’s not Ben anymore he’s BJ!
I’ve been waiting to see BJ again, as it’s been difficult envisaging the two characters as one. We got to know BJ quite a bit during the Falling series, but Ben is such a sweetheart that is hard to wrap your head around them being the same person.
We do get to go back to Devon, which really reiterates the fact that he is one and the same. It was great to go back there as it felt like you were visiting a long lost past. Somewhere where you’d grown up, but then you go back ten years later, and everything feels strange!
A lot happens in this final instalment; there is a lot of drama, a lot of revelations. However, there is also a lot of ‘dirty’ moments and a lot of making up. When Ben’s life is threatened, Lauren is forced to face her emotions, and after a short trip, she is almost ready to let him back in her heart.
The author has confirmed there are four more books to follow the characters we have met, so I’m hoping to get Joe’s story, but I’m also guessing they are going to follow Erica, Trey and Danni. They are my predictions, so we shall see!
This has certainly been an emotional journey for Ben and Lauren, and it feels like ages ago since I read their beginning, but I’m glad it was written over three books as this really added to the suspense and built up the emotions even more. It feels like I have known the characters for a long time, and I’m going to miss them. I loved the ending; it wasn’t over complicated and was simple enough. We didn’t need an in your face ending; this was just perfect!
Great conclusion to Ben and Lauren’s story.
Be aware this is the third book in the trilogy and you must read Falling for the Forbidden and Losing the Forbidden before reading this book.
After six years away, Ben returns when he learns that Lauren’s father passed away. Now he is in for the fight of his life, because so much has changed since he left six years ago. He finds that Lauren’s father has driven his own father’s business to the verge of collapse and he also finds that Lauren has moved on with a new guy named Joe. Will he be able to save the business? Will he be able to win Lauren back? Well you’ll have to read Fighting for the Forbidden in order to find the answers to those and so many other questions. This was an exciting trilogy and I highly recommend it!

This is the third book in the series. Ben and Lauren continue to struggle with the ramifications of choices made in the past. Good book, well written!

I just finished reading “Fighting For The Forbidden” and can finally relax after having read the third and final installment in Ben and Lauren’s story. I read the first book “ Falling For The Forbidden” after receiving an ARC copy. Not being a fan of cliffhangers (I actively avoid them) I was perplexed at finding myself not only loving this book and its main characters but desperately looking forward to reading more. Tracy Lorraine, I have you to thank for converting me. “Fighting For The Forbidden” gives us the answers to all the questions raised throughout the first two books and it finally shines a light on who Ben and Lauren really are and what they are for one another. Their story concludes in the best way possible and their much anticipated happily ever after and the rebuilding of their lives is exactly as it should be for them. I highly recommend this series of books and suggest you read them one right after another so you too can fall for the Forbidden, just as I have.
