The world was supposed to end on April 23, but Rainbow Williams’s world ended days before that. The mass hysteria caused by the impending apocalypse claimed everything she’d ever loved. Her family. Her city. Her will to live.Until she met him.Wes Parker didn’t have anything left for the apocalypse to take … he’d already lost it all by the time he was nine years old. His family. His home. His hope … His family. His home. His hope of ever being loved.
Until he met her.
Brought together by fate and bound by a love that would last lifetimes, Rain and Wes were prepared to die together on April 23.
They were not prepared for what would happen on April 24.

And I’m falling more and more in love with Rain and Wes!!
These 2 are having one Hell of a time with the world possibly ending on April 23. They are put through the test almost every day and my heart breaks for them!! Most the time while reading I’m screaming at my kindle..noooo please don’t hurt my Wes and Rain..they are my peeps lol
Anyway..now onto book 3..can’t wait to find out if they get their happily ever after and after and after!! Lol
Thanks for writing BB…this series is bad ass girlie!
Well let me pick my jaw up off the floor!!! Rainbow “Rain” Williams and Wes Parker are back in the highly anticipated second book of this apocalyptic trilogy. This book takes place after the epic cliffhanger in book one. The world was suppose to end on April 23rd but that didn’t exactly happen. It’s now April 24th…what will they find now? Can they figure out what happened and stay alive in this “new world?” This is an apocalyptic book like no other and a must read. More will be revealed…More obstacles to overcome…Can Wes and Rain go on and find…something more? What happened to the four horseman? An amazing part two of this trilogy and yes it ends in a cliffhanger!! So much is revealed I cannot wait for you to read this emotional roller coaster for yourselves. Wes is still my favorite survivalist biker and I believe I fell for him even more if that’s possible. Told in dual POV
I’M FREAKIN IN LOVE WITH THIS SERIES!!!!!
Book two picked right up where book one left off and drew me right in!!!! I was on the edge of my seat, and could not put it down!!!! Now I need book three really bad, and I’m so glad I don’t have long to wait!!!
*Screaming and pulling my hair out!!!!*
This fantastic installment of the post-apocalyptic romance that Ms. Easton has created is absolutely a thrill ride.
This is the continuing story of Rain and Wes takes us to the day after. What happens after the apocalypse doesn’t happen?
The world that Ms. Easton continues with this installment is epic, phenomenally epic!
I was amazed at the twists and turns this story took. From beginning to end, I was gasping and the way that Ms. Easton is able to describe Franklin Springs and Pritchard Park Mall well I could actually “see” them and that’s a testament to true writing greatness. There is a new cast of characters that add more to the mix and a surprise from the past that affects Wes and Rain’s relationship and tests its strength.
The words flow off the page and I couldn’t put this story down until the end! And what an ending!! I am counting down the days until the final installment comes out!
Well it’s taken me about a day to pick my jaw up off of the floor-but here we are. Back with an even more addicting dynamic existing between Rain and Wes-and some new background characters, you’re sure to never read anything like this before. As much as I’d like to say this has post apocalyptic themes, it’s definitely a psychological adventure, as well.
Wes and Rain were two characters that completely captured me from the very beginning. Book 2 picks up exactly where book 1 left off, so it’s an absolute must that you read the first book. There’s so much action packed into this second book-with a whole lot of emotional warfare. Both Wes and Rainbow have their hearts on the line-and can lose everything at one drop of a dime, but one thing is for sure, they’re survivalists and will fight tooth and nail for each other. The book ends with a big cliff hanger-which has utterly captured me so much so that everything is canceled until book three comes out. I literally don’t even want to perform simple tasks until I know what happens. This is an absolute must read by such an amazing author-you can’t miss out on this unique, gut wrenching story!
That ending thooooo… I don’t even know what I’m going to do with myself while I’m waiting for Dying For Rain. Rain and Wes made it. They survived April 23rd. Sweeeeet! However, the world had descended into even more chaos and survival wasn’t guaranteed. They needed to find food and shelter. They needed to save their friend. And they needed to figure out what their future, if they even had a future, would be.
I found so much of this story absolutely hilarious. The introduction of Q and her insane antics kept me extremely entertained. I wonder if I’ll see Mz Ridiculous in the next book BB Easton has a knack for snagging my attention within a few words and leaving me hungry for more. This trilogy is hypnotic with its despair and its hope and its love. I can’t wait to find out how it all ends!
“I wish I could say I was surprised, but after everything I’ve been through, this just feels like a regular Tuesday.”
The wait for this baby was hard. The ending of Praying for Rain was spectacular, and the sneak peak of this one she put at the end? I’m pretty sure I threw my Kindle. A. Maz. Ing.
Fighting for Rain picks up right where Praying for Rain left off. It’s the day after the end of the world, and the world is still there. But the fight to survive has only just begun. After everything Rain and Wes had been through, you didn’t really expect rainbows and butterflies, did you? No matter how much this couple deserves just that, there’s still a lot left to do to get to where they need to go. And O. M. G. The ride on this one! Hold on to your hat, because it’s going to get tough.
The characters in this book were fantastic. There’s a whole host of new ones that gave me all the feels – although a few of those were on the strong side of “I want to punch you in the throat.” But those sweet ones, the ones that had me tearing up, were also some of the best. There was one point where I’m pretty sure I choked on my drink before spitting it across the room. There’s a good chance you’ll know it when you see it, so…. be careful of what you’re drinking. You’ll thank me for that.
We all know this is a trilogy. Of course there’s going to be a cliffy, something to entice you to come back for the last book. But the cliffy here? Yeah, it’ll have you diving off the cliff and frothing at the mouth as you wait for the conclusion to this amazing book.
Post April 23, the world is still very much in an apocalyptic state. It’s eat or be eaten. Only the strong will survive. There is literally NO government support including police, medics, hospitals and welfare.
Wes, Raven and all those who remain must live and die as per natural selection. There can be NO heros. No one is able to help anyone survive.
Do Wes and Rain have what it takes to survive? And, do the promises they made to each other pre April 23 now hold any weight?
“I’ll fight to keep you alive. I’ll fight to keep you safe. But, I will never fight to keep you, or anyone, from leaving me.” – Wes
This was an absorbing read from the first word to the last. It is all-encompassing. The pace slowed down, but not in a bad way. Wes, Rain and her friends must now learn how to live in this new world. They must also tread carefully in their new home or risk the wrath of Q, the resident queen “B” and landlord. Nothing is free and each must carry their own weight.
Rain tries to live this new life by suppressing all of the memories from her past. This becomes detrimental to her well being. Living and experiencing life in the here and now is now filled with fear. She must fight this battle and the demons that plague her in order to move on. During this time, I felt for Rain so much. It is heartbreaking to see her in such a state.
Can the second book in a series be just as thrilling as the first? Hell, yes! This book proves it. From gangs, violence, a morally corrupt government and a love that just won’t quit, this story has something to intrigue and excite everyone.
This series is a masterpiece and definitely worthy of the big screen. I loved every moment of this thrilling and suspenseful ride!
Be forewarned that this book ends on a MAJOR cliffhanger.
I received an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
What if your end becomes your beginning? Wes and his Rain have this question in front of them. I’m not sure what I would do. I’m just hoping I have someone like Wes has his Rain.
If you, as a reader, you have this story figured out. You don’t. I would say go in blind. Get your heart bruised. Let it bleed a little along with the characters. I felt so much because of Rain was a strong willed character. Even in the end of days, she cared for someone other than herself.
Oh Wes… there needs to be more of him in the world. There needs to be more men who can be there when the world tells you to f*ck off. Wes is that guy through and through. The damn ending… God… the damn ending had me reading the last paragraph again and praying not just for Rain but for Wes. Have me praying for that the beginning when all there is a end.

Over the moon with the intensity and angst of this storyline. BB Easton offers the readers something a bit different with this post “apocalyptic” contemporary series. While the relationship between the two main characters is a pivotal part of the plot, it’s Easton’s creative story telling that really takes center stage. Not only does she offer a plausible and foreboding “end of days” tale but she is also able to the underpin the entire plot with an intense level of hope. It’s a great culmination. 5 stars.
Thank you to @socialbutterfly_pr and author BB Easton for the ARC of #FightingForRain, which was read and review voluntarily.
This review is on the entire trilogy.
I am so glad I was able to buy this trilogy so I could avoid the cliffhangers. Rain and Wes’s stories were tragic. The world that BB Easton builds here does give you vibes of Hunger Games and even the Walking Dead minus the zombies. I thought it was great and well written. It will keep your attention throughout and have you cheering the characters to include side ones to a HEA. There is sadness, spicy and humor throughout the entire trilogy. I am so glad it came across my TikTok to remind me I haven’t listened to it yet. Madeleine and Alex do an amazing job. Highly recommend especially for YA.
Audible listen. I like the female narrator, and the male narrator has grown on me. The male narrator fits Wes well. The female does a good job with all the characters. A good listening performance.
This is book 2 and follows right after the ending of the last book, so I’d recommend reading the previous book before this one. I’m going to go with a 3 rating for this one because I preferred book 1 and gave it a 4 rating. This one didn’t have much story to it besides the mental and emotional issues that Rain is having, so there wasn’t really any growth of character for her. She’s scared to go outside now, so she ends up staying in a bad situation because she’s too fragile. She still can’t handle much emotionally, and gloms onto whoever is available. Rain and Wes join a group of survivors at the mall; Rain’s ex is part of the group, and it’s run by an annoying, ridiculous character called Q. She’s around Rain’s age, and for some reason, even the adults let her boss them around. Q is particularly mean to Rain. Q and the other characters involved in this whole staying at the mall are characters I didn’t care for. Wes does not want to stay at the Mall, so he ends up leaving Rain there because she tells him she doesn’t want to leave. Wes still has that leave them before they leave you mentality; he does have sweetheart tendencies, but he’s still combating past trauma. The reasoning behind what was happening with the supposed apocalypse wasn’t satisfactory; I don’t see how there aren’t more leaders or whoever to stop the broadcasting of murders for a totally stupid reason. It doesn’t make sense, and wasn’t properly thought out. The story is still interesting, and I already own the paperback and audio for the next book, so I’ll give it a go. I just hope Rain stops coming across as so pathetic; she has trauma in the past, but her reactions seem excessive. I want to see her stand up for herself more and thrive!
WOW! What a wild ride.
The second and third book in the Rain Trilogie was like the first book unbelievable gripping, exciting and brutal, maybe even more than the first one.
It’s a dramatic roller-coaster of action, excitement and brutal reality after the predicted apocalypse that never happened. The world is a chaos and the laws doesn’t exist.
Or exist, but in a way that looks like a parallel evil universe.
The law of natural selection.
The strongest, meanest and most brutal individuals stays alive.
Rain and Wes are trying to survive this mayhem, but in a world without a safe place, it’s like a Russian roulette.
WOW! Unbelievable emotional and nerve-wracking story.
The disturbing and dreadful world of Rain Trilogie is a fascinating story that let’s hope never becomes a reality.
This series was a great surprise for me.
I loved it and will definitely read more books by this author.
Ugh it really guts me to do this. I didn’t love the first book and I was willing to keep going because I thought this book was going to get better and more interesting. I was expecting Rain and Wes to get over their demons together and become a pretty kick-ass team during the apocalypse. I wanted to know about that crazy revelation at the ending of the first book that was super intriguing.
What I got was West barely being in the book and Rain being her sad traumatic self. I get that she’s traumatized by all the things that’s happened to her and it cripples and paralyzes her in fear. But she was so pathetic and without Wes to protect and literally take care of her like a child people just walked all over her. It was pretty degrading. The other thing that bothered me were the people in the mall or whatever. They were the worse people ever.
Oh man I just did not enjoy this book at all and the bits that we discover about this new world was crazy, but definitely not enough for me to find intriguing and exciting. Still love BB tho.
Holy angsty feels Batman!
This book.
I have no words for it.
In preparation for this read, I spent my morning re-reading Praying for Rain, which was a great call as this book picks back up right where Praying for Rain stops.
It’s April 24th, the day after the end of the world, only it didn’t end. Now Wes and Rain need to navigate a new reality and figure out how to survive in this strange new reality.
As always, BB delivered a hooking, angsty, lovely read, that careened me through the entire spectrum of emotions. This book had me feeling anxious, sobbing, grinning like a loone and swooning and basically feeling all the feels.
This book is amazing, and the ending? Whooo-wee. How am I supposed to wait 2 weeks? I need Dying for Rain in my life like yesterday.
If you like angsty, sassy, heart-breaking and gut-wrenching romance, DON’T MISS OUT on this book. Go now and get it, you’ll thank me for it later.
5 million stars and fuck ’em.
I cant even breathe! I need the next book now! Too good to put down! The angst and anguish is so intense!
I don’t even know what to SAYYYY…
This review’s going to be short because I binged Parts 2 & 3 together, so I’ll give Dying For Rain a fuller scope. But dang, son! This series is so fantastic I can’t even express it to you!
You know I love BB’s books. She’s an author who has inspired me with her writing style, and I must say, I’ve taken a lot of it into my own writing, which is a silent gift that I can only repay her with fuzzy unicorn snap bracelets (inside joke from Book Bonanza lol). I adore how her writing is easy to read, humorous and witty, descriptive without being too much, and just so well-rounded. She can have you laughing out loud one minute and bursting into tears the next.
Anyway, more to come in my next review.
I’ll leave you with this… Wesson Patrick Parker is mine. Fight me.
I absolutely loved Praying for Rain I’d never read anything quite like it before, so I couldn’t wait to read more.
In Fighting for Rain we see Wes and Rain trying to survive the aftermath of the supposed Apocalypse that was meant to end everything on April 23rd.
Now it’s April 24th and they’re left wondering what’ll happen next. There’s Apocalyptic mass destruction everywhere. It’s a barren wasteland of despair and destitution.
Wes and Rain still have many obstacles to face they need answers but survival is still top of the list.
I love Rain in this series at times she’s so strong and a survivor, but Wes owns me. My heart hurt for him, I felt his anguish. From a young age he’s survived on his own, never feeling wanted or loved. So he has never felt the need to care for anyone in return….until Rainbow Williams. Now he will fight with everything he has to protect her.
OMFG!!! That ending….Gob smacked is an understatement. It was fantastic and exhilarating. I’m anxious to find out how it all ends.

Praying for Rain by B.B. Easton is truly spellbinding, and one of my favorite books in 2019! I was so excited to read Fighting for Rain, the second book in the series, that as soon as I saw it on my Kindle, I literally dropped everything and dove right in! Oh, and in case you aren’t aware, this series has a continuous storyline. Therefore, you must read them in order.
I’m dying to fill you in about everything, but I really believe you should read this series without any spoilers! Many times I’ve been disappointed after finishing the second book of a series. Especially when the first was so epically written. This is definitely not the case for Fighting for Rain, as it exceeded every expectation that I had.
The storyline was emotional, action-packed, full of twists, and completely unputdownable! And again, I about died when I reach the end. Prepare yourself for another cliffhanger that will tear at your heart!

Five fantastic stars
Wow, BB Easton is an evil genius. This book was even better than the first. More angst, action and twists. I love these characters and I was on the edge of my seat reading this book. It ended too fast and now I have to wait on pins and needles to see what happens next. Great job Mrs Easton
