Slut. Hooker. Whore.
The taunts never bothered me. They only see what I allow them to see, and a Las Vegas stripper is the perfect cover.
My life had direction. I had a mission—until the man I needed vanished and is presumed dead.
It’s time to move on—give up the dream for revenge—and no one shows me that more than the mop-headed fighter with eyes the color of the ocean.
If anyone can teach … the ocean.
If anyone can teach me just how sweet life can be, it’s him. But first, I’d have to let go.
Mase. Baywatch. Mayhem.
I’m known by many names, but there’s only one that stirs panic and worry in my gut every time I’m called it.
Brother.
I’ve bailed him out of trouble for years, so when he turns up in Vegas and asks for me, I’m prepared for the worst. And the worst is exactly what I get in the form of a lilac-eyed beauty named Trix.
She’s everything I hate about Vegas: a stripper, loose with her body and her morals. But there’s something about her, a complexity that she buries deep, and I’m determined to uncover it.
The deeper I go, the less I understand. When I finally learn the truth, we engage in a battle where life and death hang in the balance.
Fighting could kill us both, but if we win, forever is the prize.

WOW!!!! I LOVED this book!!! What a fantastic addition to this series!!! Mason & Trix were fantastic. And so perfect for each other, as proven by their love for their families. There were some really major twists toward the end that were done really well, as I can usually guess when things like this are coming. Great job keeping your readers guessing. And the end of the book, BEST EVER!!!!! Can’t wait for the next book in the series!!!!
3.5 stars
Trix is on a mission and she doesn’t have time for anything else, until she meets Mason. Mason is one of the newer fighters at the UFL. He fell for Eve (Fighting the Fall), and is still pissed she chose Cam over him. When he literally crashes into Trix one night he isn’t very nice. He doesn’t like her choice of profession, and he don’t understand why he is drawn to her anyway. Will they be able to forge a relationship in the midst of her vendetta and his problems with her job? This is probably my least favorite book in this series, but it was still a good read.

I love how Salsbury starts the next book in a series so close to each other or in the middle of a previous book. Fighting for Forever starts at the last scene from the previous book, A Father’s Fight.
I loved Baywatch, Mason Mahoney. He’s all alpha male with a strong mix of gentleness. For me, everything about him worked. I would have liked to see more of his fighting, since that was his job; otherwise, he was a totally sexy male with intelligence. Trix, Beatrice Langley, was mostly likeable but she had a few spots at times that I wanted to ring her neck. Otherwise, she too was strong, gorgeous, smart, and interesting. As a couple, they worked.
Salsbury was true to form with a suspenseful and dark storyline. The twists and turns kept it interesting and the conclusion was both plausible and appealing. My main criticism is that the first third of the book was a little slow. I would have liked it to have gotten to the point quicker; however, the last two thirds made up for it.
A newer character, Wade, has shown up in the last several books, I like him more each book and I hope he gets his own book.
All in all, great read and I can’t wait for the next book in the series for Killian and Axel, Fighting Fate.
Being a huge fan of this series since the beginning it has been sad having to watch Mase still pining over the woman he lost. He was still so blinded by his “love” for her I didn’t know how he would ever be able to find someone or even recognize her if he did. Knew it would take one heck of woman and Beatriks (Trix) was certainly that woman.
The women J.B. Salsbury writes are certainly unique and usually have gone through hell in their past. Trix was in a Russian orphanage when she was adopted by a great family that had many other adopted children from all over the world. Her family was very spiritual and raised them with strong family values. When one of Trix’s sisters is murdered in a horrific way she wants retribution exacted on whoever killed her. To find her killer Trix has to ingrain herself into the ugly part of Vegas as a stripper. She also has ties to Gia from Fighting to Forget and some unfinished business from that book crosses over into this one with some shocking revelations as to who all was involved with the death of her sister.
I loved that Mase really didn’t know what hit him when he met Trix. His head was telling him he didn’t like her but his heart was saying something else and eventually he started listening to it. Once they got past a few issues these two really were perfect for each other and brought out the best in the other. And they certainly needed each other for the suspenseful climax to the story.
