A series of chance encounters leads to a sizzling new romance from the New York Times bestselling author of the On Dublin Street series. The universe is conspiring against Ava Breevort. As if flying back to Phoenix to bury a childhood friend wasn’t hell enough, a cloud of volcanic ash traveling from overseas delayed her flight back home to Boston. Her last ditch attempt to salvage the trip was … last ditch attempt to salvage the trip was thwarted by an arrogant Scotsman, Caleb Scott, who steals a first class seat out from under her. Then over the course of their journey home, their antagonism somehow lands them in bed for the steamiest layover Ava’s ever had. And that’s all it was–until Caleb shows up on her doorstep.
When pure chance pulls Ava back into Caleb’s orbit, he proposes they enjoy their physical connection while he’s stranded in Boston. Ava agrees, knowing her heart’s in no danger since a) she barely likes Caleb and b) his existence in her life is temporary. Not long thereafter Ava realizes she’s made a terrible error because as it turns out Caleb Scott isn’t quite so unlikeable after all. When his stay in Boston becomes permanent, Ava must decide whether to fight her feelings for him or give into them. But even if she does decide to risk her heart on Caleb, there is no guarantee her stubborn Scot will want to risk his heart on her….

I can’t remember the last time I wanted to hug punch a hero the way I wanted to hug punch Caleb Scott.
Honestly, I didn’t even know hug punching could ever be a thing until I found myself feeling the urge to deliver both things, simultaneously, while reading this book. Caleb Scott is infuriating, and also adorable. He’s exasperating, but also irresistible. I sometimes hated to love him. And yet, I loved him nonetheless.
There’s something about the chemistry between these two that sucked me into the maelstrom of this story and kept me desperate for more. Even when it hurt to read. Even when the urge to punch overwhelmed the urge to hug. This story was heavier than I anticipated. It was angsty and sometimes brutal. But it also set my heart aflutter and was nearly impossible for me to put down.
I adored – crazy adored – Ava. She’s smart and plucky. She’s damaged but indomitable. Her heart is so big, and her spirit so brave – she’s impossible not to love. I cannot say the same for her surly counterpart, although he definitely comes with his own set of charms. He’s alpha protective and possessive. He’s also a fair bit alpha-hole. But somehow, even though he was a smidge past the line between “mean enough” and “too mean” for me, I still loved him. These two together are dynamite – in more ways than one. This was not always an easy book to read, but their fiery hot chemistry and this compellingly dynamic storyline kept me on the hook.
I also adored Ava’s friendship with Harper. If there’s a true love story here, it belongs to them. I love the fierceness of their loyalty to each other. I loved how this female friendship showed two women holding each other up, and I loved how Ms. Young didn’t sugarcoat that the reality of that isn’t always pretty. There are some hefty punches doled out in this book. But the friendship illustrated here is simply beautiful. A soft, safe place against the whirlwind of the relationship between Ava and Caleb.
In all, well I keep saying it: I couldn’t put it down. I did love it for every emotion it pulled out of me (and that would be just about all of them). I was completely satisfied with their ending (though I might have liked a little more groveling, because…c’mon.). I was addicted to it, I loved it, and I definitely recommend!

Hardly 24 hours…
That’s what it took me to read this book.
Like every single book I read from Samantha Young, it’s like diving in a universe I don’t want to leave.
I let her stories wrap me up, overwhelm me in a perfect and delicious mix of humor, passion and angst.
She never disappointed me. EVER.
I love all her heroes and heroines.
Ava and Caleb aren’t any exception.
I loved fierce and caring Ava, and I loved Caleb too, and everything hiding behind those icy blue eyes and beard.
Of course, I also wanted to slap him. So, so many times.
I wanted to slap-maul-kiss-hug-strangle-slap-undress-kiss him through all the damn book!!!
I don’t know what to add, Samantha Young does it every time, with every book.
I think you could throw any blurb at her, she would deliver a wonderful and addictive love story.
That’s why she is one of my absolute favorite authors, and with Caleb, she definitely knows how to write the best assholes we love to hate (and hug). Got for it, this story is one of my favorite read this year!

Fight or Flight…. That is a very good question and below all will be answered!
I’m not going to start this review with a synopsis of the book because hey! that’s what the author spends hours writing the blurb for so instead i’m going to give you my thoughts and feelings about this book instead. I’m such a complete sucker for an arrogant alpha male hero, that’s a little bit broken, and unknowingly to him, he needs a woman that is beautiful and independent, caring but also strong enough to handle all of his crap as well as her own. Caleb Scott and I quote is a “Blonde Scottish Viking” that fits into that category and is one very sexy but broken alpha male. At the start of this book I was totally on the fence about him as he is one arrogant and mean S O B to Ava but by the end of the book I so wanted to divorce my husband, declare my undying love for him and have his babies! Caleb just ticked all of my boxes on the kind of man I love to read about, he is tall, ruggedly handsome, scottish and down right bloody moody but also he’s a god in the bedroom which all of us girls can only ever hope to find. Yes his character is flawed but I liked that part about him and it bought out a little sense of realism about him.
Ava Breevort on the other hand is a woman with many hidden layers. She is beautiful, smart and dresses like she is a privileged socialite. She seems kinda shallow at first until her background is revealed and explains why her self image is so very important to her. I liked her right from the start and there was just something about her that drew me to her character and made me think that there had got to be something more to her personality than just being what she wanted everyone else to see on the surface.
We are all at times guilty of judging others by their appearance and Caleb is just as guilty as Ava for doing that on first meeting each other. She thinks him rude and arrogant and he thinks she is stuck up and a pampered princess, but looks aren’t always what they seem and can be all deceiving.
They are a brilliant mix of opposites attract or enemies to lovers, and they have that magnetic pull between them that neither of them can deny. The love/hate emotions they have going on between them turns into a fiery lust and passion that made for some very steamy reading indeed. Samantha Young has such a talent for writing such gripping romance with plenty of drama and torment thrown in to bring agony to both her characters and her readers alike. I was absolutely held captive by this book and it’s wonderful characters as the writing was just so good, and the story was so beautifully plotted with a few twists and surprises added to the mix to shake things up a bit and bring more angst to this already heart pounding story. This has got to be my #1 favourite romance of 2018 as I really don’t think anything else can come close to how much I loved this story. So now to answer the aforementioned question above which is definitely to FIGHT, for love and for all you hold dear.
I’d give this book a bazillion stars if I could but alas as only 5 are available here’s to 5 Amazing stars! +++++
Whenever I read a Samantha Young book I am genuinely impressed. I was lucky enough to receive an Advanced Reader Copy of this book and I have to say that I LOVED it! This is a book that I will have to read over and over. I loved it so much that I’m tempted to sit down and read it again.
Samantha Young is able to create characters that just inspire you. The characters feel real, they feel raw, and when they cry it makes me want to cry. I love how in depth the characters in Fight or Flight are. They seemed so real to me. One thing that I absolutely loved about this book is the banter between the characters. The bantering just set this book apart. It’s witty, and touching at moments.
The plot line was really interesting and something that I haven’t read before. I loved how touching it was and I even loved how frustrating the plot line became. I wanted to scream at the characters at points which shows me just how invested I was in the characters.
Ultimately, this book captures the magic that Samantha Young had with “On Dublin Street” and added some amazing bantering. This is one of my favorites by her. If I could give it more stars, I would.
I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
“My feelings were most definitely engaged, but I buried that truth, knowing if I let those feelings reign it would lead to an inevitable war between us. A war for Caleb Scott’s heart. A war I knew I would lose.”
A charming, sexy, and emotional POWERHOUSE of a romance, Fight or Flight by Samantha Young was an absolute pleasure to devour! Every emotion was engaged. Every part of my mind and body was engaged. Brimming with enough sexual tension to power a city block…Young’s latest standalone contemporary romance HAD IT ALL! Caleb and Ava’s love story will make you laugh as much as it will make you tear up. The stubborn Scot and the vivacious American…what could go wrong? Or oh so right?
Caleb Scott is a man you will LOVE to HATE. He will push every single one of your buttons just like he does with the beautiful and headstrong Ava Breevort. Ava, of course, definitely gives as good as she gets and the push/pull, love/hate, intense dynamic that blossoms between the two…it’s just spectacular, entertaining, and intoxicating! I ate up every insult, every taunt, every rude comment, knowing it would lead to some INCREDIBLE sexual encounters, and OMG! It totally did! You will be blushing for days once you get a taste of Caleb’s dirty talk!
Young’s Fight or Flight has got to be one of the BEST enemies-to-lovers romances I’ve EVER read! I loved every single second of it! You’ll never meet a more brutally honest hero and a more stubborn and feisty heroine. Caleb and Ava…well, they’re just the PERFECT MATCH!
I LOVED this enemies to lovers book.
It was a page-turner from the get-go.
(“Get-go” is such an odd phrase)
Don’t let this book cover fool you.
It makes it look more like a straight rom-com.
While it does have humor, the story is also a little angsty between the main characters with some secondary character drama, as well.
To me, these covers look like a middle school paperback my daughter would want to buy at the yearly Scholastic Book fair, but honestly, they have been some of my 4-5 star reads so I beg of you –
NEVER JUDGE A STORY BY IT’S BOOK COVER.
Ok, for my review.
One of the barometers, for lack of a better word, I use to rate a book 5 Stars is that it’s unputdownable.
I was reading on my flight to Boston (ironically where the majority of the book takes place) and when they announced, “At this time, please ensure that your seat backs and tray tables are in their full upright and locked position …”, I wanted the flight to be longer because I had to see what was going to happen next.
I attended a beautiful wedding in Boston and have to confess that each time I went to the restroom during the reception, I tried to sneak in a page or two while either waiting in line or on my walk back to the ballroom.
The blurb describes how the main characters met so no need to rehash, but the fact that he was so grouchy to her and she gave as good as she got was fun to read.
Ava was a strong character and very relatable.
She had experience betrayal in her past and I like how the author let small details of it unfold.
Caleb was yummy. Between his accent, his honesty and his tenderness despite his broodiness and abrasive armor, I couldn’t help but crush on him right alongside Ava.
Fate seemed to put these two in each others paths, but it never seemed OTT unbelievable.
The entire story is told from Ava’s point of view.
This seems rare nowadays and “old school” (meaning 2008-2015), but Caleb was always so direct and honest so we pretty much knew where he stood at all times except near the end so it totally worked.
Anything else would be spoilers so I’ll conclude with saying it’s been a while since I’ve read a book where I was itching to get back to.
I loved their banter, their explosive chemistry, Ava’s best friend, the romance, Caleb’s broodiness, the heartache and raw emotions that I experienced alongside Ava and the unexpected swooniness that Caleb possessed even when he didn’t mean to be.
You need to read this book and I can’t wait to re-read it.
I will definitely buy the audiobook because on top of being an awesome read, I’m a sucker for accented narrators.
I received an eARC of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
Without a doubt my favorite book of this year. It was also the most anticipated, since Samantha was teasing us for a half a year. And she really did it justice.
Anyway, the book left me crying and laughing out loud. I absolutely loved their banter.
Caleb really is a Bastard Scott. But throughout the book you learn why he is the way he is, and I promise you that he has good reason to be so rude and hard to get.
On the other side is sweet and beutiful Ava, who is grieving and also had bad experience in the past. But they are perfect for each other. Their chemistry is off the hook but neither of them wants to admit it.
“There are many different kinds of love in this world. I knew that. Silly me, however, to think I could control my complex heart by telling it what kind of love it was allowed to feel.
You’re not allowed to love a man romantically, I told it.
I’ll do what I want, it eventually replied. ”
Ava Breevort
This quote really got to me. Because sometimes you really don’t have a say in what your feelings are telling you. Sometimee you have to go with the flow, even though you get burned. That means that life happens. Not everything will always go according to the plan, but that is allright. I believe that everything happenss for a reason, and this book shows you how faith can have it’s way with you.
I really loved the game they played about what the Scottish words and sayings mean. It was funny and there was no way I could get anything right. I love these sayings because we have them a lot in our language too.
I freking loved this book and am preordering it right now on Bookdepository. When I get my paperback I am diving right back in their world, because it is awesome.
This book is by far my favorite book by Samantha Young – probably because it includes a Bastard Scott and I am a sucker for those.
I always love a good enemy to lovers book and Fight or Flight is no exception.
It’s a fun quick read although in saying that it is sad and emotional in parts but I loved it and adored Ava and Caleb. At first Caleb comes across selfish and obnoxious but once you get to know him you will fall for him as I did!
I enjoyed their banter throughout the whole book and loved the Scottish dialect too.
Overall a fabulous book! Thanks Sam!!
Here is a quote I loved from the book (you’ll have to read it to find out what this is in relation to!):
“You’ve developed champagne tastes, Caleb. You can’t go back to cheap wine.”
Good lord! I’m never disappointed when this author comes out with a new masterpiece, and let me tell you Fight or Flight was no exception. This book was loaded with Scottish humor (love the slang, especially at the end), down right fan worthy hot and steamy love scenes, definite emotional at times, moments where you wanted to smack Caleb and Ava up alongside the head, and incredible writing that made you want to keep turning page after page even though you needed to get up early to go to work. Caleb and Ava had an instant love hate relationship, but I absolutely loved the interaction and chemistry between the two, especially on the plane rides. Loved Harper and Jamie and cant wait to see their next book, Stella and Patrice were hysterical. Even though it was a bit long in parts, this author knows how to mesh together even the most complicated characters into something pretty special. Adore her and everything she writes, this book is definitely a winner!
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book.
3.75 stars–FIGHT OR FLIGHT by Samantha Young is a contemporary adult, stand alone romance story line focusing on thirty-five year old CFO of Koto Technologies Scotsman Caleb Scott, and thirty –year old, interior designer Ava Breevort.
Told from first person point of view (Ava) including memories of the past, FIGHT OR FLIGHT follows the enemies to lovers relationship between thirty-five year old CFO of Koto Technologies Scotsman Caleb Scott, and thirty –year old, interior designer Ava Breevort. The death of a former friend, a series of mishaps, a volcanic eruption in Europe, and several flight delays eventually find Ava Breevort facing off against a belligerent and hostile Scotsman slash Viking, who pushes all of our heroine’s buttons. From one unexpected delay to another, and an overnight stay in Phoenix, Ava’s frustration mounts as Caleb Scott becomes the proverbial thorn in her side, and vice versa. Not that Caleb is thrilled that his business plans have been placed on hold but the continuous reappearance of the beautiful but presumably high-maintenance Ava Breevort begins to chafe at Caleb’s growing anger towards a woman he perceives as all kinds of wrong. A one-night stand, and another round of run-ins in Ava’s hometown of Boston, Massachusetts continues to pull at their mutual attraction but equally mutual hatred for one another. What ensues is the agreed upon friends with benefits arrangement between Ava and Caleb, and the potential fall-out as Ava ‘apparently’ pushes too hard forcing Caleb to hurt the woman with whom he is falling in love.
Caleb Scott is a sexy, brooding, and antagonistic male whose dislike of Ava is immediate and aggressive. Unable to let go of the past, Caleb is unbending in his friends with benefits-only arrangement, an arrangement that is about to destroy the heart of our story line heroine. Caleb’s initial assessment and treatment of Ava is embarrassing and exasperating, as our heroine questions if she has done something wrong, a question that has Ava giving as good as she gets. Ava Breevort knows love and loss, a loss that has affected Ava’s self-esteem, and scarred our heroine to the possibility of future love, another betrayal, and issues of trust. Falling for Caleb was never on the radar but having her heart ripped out meant Ava needed to reassess what she wanted in her life.
The relationship between Ava and Caleb is an enemies to lovers/friends with benefits arrangement that leads to something more. For weeks Ava and Caleb will be both friends and lovers but jealousy, heartbreak and memories from the past are but the tip of the ice-burg that is slowly collapsing their hard-fought friendship. Caleb wants to know everything about the woman he refuses to love but isn’t capable of talking about his own embittered past. The push and pull of jealousy is immature and sophomoric in the face of Caleb’s inability to feel something more. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
We are introduced to Ava’s best friend, executive pastry chef Harper Smith whose own life experiences are painful and hard –there is a small plot development focusing on Harper, and the fall-out of her own relationship disaster; Ava’s bosses Stella and Patrice; and Caleb’s brother, artist Jamie Scott. I am hoping for a storyline focusing on both Harper and Jamie, but more importantly Harper and Jamie together.
FIGHT OR FLIGHT is a story of pain and heartbreak, and tainted perception. Caleb struggles in the face of former betrayal, and paints Ava with the same judgemental brush. The premise is inviting; the characters are dynamic, flawed and broken; the romance struggles in the face of preconceived notions, and demons from the past.
Oh, how I love Samantha Young’s writing! So full of heart, filled with passion, and touches you so deeply.
Fight or Flight is filled with emotion! It’s witty, fun, heartbreaking, and heartwarming. I smirked and laughed and cried. It’s wonderful! Caleb and Ava’s journey is heartfelt, it’s one of emotional turmoil, of slowly breaking down barriers, of allowing yourself to love and be loved, of acceptance and trust. My heart was racing from the moment I began reading it until the end. I couldn’t put it down. And the beautiful relationship and bond between Ava and Harper added so much to the story. These three beautiful characters will capture your heart and not let go.
I really loved this book. The way these two characters interacted was fantastic. It was a beautiful love story. I definitely recommend this book and this author.
Samantha Young has written some very good books that I have enjoyed. I picked this up because of those books, even though the blurb didn’t really grab me. Unfortunately for me, this book was not up to caliber to her past books. There were so many things I took exception to, it would be a double sided typed page! This is an enemy to lover troupe, of which I normally get into, but this book just did not work for me.
First off, these characters are despicable! Ava and Caleb. Talk about snobby, entitled, privileged-whatever word you choose to use-they are it! They meet while travelling and the things that comes out of his mouth right off the bat are just atrocious! If someone said those things to me, while having just met, I would not be swooning all over him. The author tries to make him charming by giving him a Scottish accent and attractive, but it did NOTHING to redeem him in my eyes! What I don’t understand, is why Ava would acknowledge what he was doing or saying and think he was awful, and then turn around and accept it because he was freaking gorgeous?? No amount of looks can overcome a rude and obnoxious person! She was a strong girl having worked her way to success by herself, she did not need to degrade herself by keeping him around.
Because of a delay, they have a one night stand. Then Caleb is stuck in the States for longer than anticipated. Why they went back at it had me shaking my head. I felt truly bad for Ava. Why would you subject yourself to the behavior and the judging that Caleb was spouting off throughout this book? There was another red flag every time you turned around.
Aside from the obvious character flaws, I did not care for the overly wordy style the author gave us. The dialogue was cheesy or very dated to say the least. I really couldn’t see them talking this way for being two successful business people in today’s world. All the political agenda got a bit much as well. Not to mention there are forays into a lot of situations that could be triggers for a lot of people.
It took me a couple of days to digest everything and to figure out what worked for me, and what didn’t. If the characters were written differently or at least, Caleb, then maybe it would have fared better for me. I understand this sounds negative, but I definitely wanted to highlight the problems I had with it. If you decide to give this a try, I hope you see things differently than I did.
2.5 Stars
Is this second chance romance? Enemies to lovers? Sexy alpha male romance? Obnoxious, sexy Scot with a beard sizzling romance? How about all the above, and more. Let’s not forget the angst, the heartache, and one stubborn as all hell character who meets a fiery interior designer under untimely circumstances in an airport, and although they instantly hate each other, the chemistry between them is undeniable. When it’s apparent that they’re going to be living in the same city, the stakes are very much raised. No matter how much they try to remain casual, feelings always seem to get in the way, and when love is unrequited and emotions start ruling, drastic measures must be taken. Wonderful writing, fab story with in-depth characters. I was hooked from start to finish. I received an advanced copy of this book from the author via NetGalley. This is my honest review.
I love bit of rom-com. I love everything I have read by Samantha Young. Samantha Young gives me a rom-com? Woo hoo!
And one with a Hot Scot? Swoon!
Right from the get go, I was hooked on Fight Or Flight. Oh, the antaganism between Caleb and Ava, what amazing foreplay! As much as Caleb made me made on Ava’s behalf, I couldn’t help but love the man
I lost count of how many times I laughed out loud at his OTT rudeness.
However, what I wasn’t expecting was so much emotion. Yes, this is a romcom, however the story delved into some highly emotional events, and I am not going to lie, I did shed a tear or few at times.
We have some ab fab secondary characters. Ava’s best friend Harper is the kind of besty we all need in our lives. She needs a story of her own
And I hope that we get more of Caleb’s siblings stories – especially Jamie (another hot scot called Jamie? let me at him!)
I thoroughly enjoyed Fight Or Flight, and I can’t wait to see what Ms Young brings us next.
Fight or Flight was a brilliantly executed story that was filled with so much passion and emotion, I honestly couldn’t put it down. I was mesmerized by the intriguing and complicated characters. A truly amazing read!
*ARC generously provided by the author which I won in her giveaway and I’m leaving an honest review*
Enemies to lovers
Friends/Strangers with benefits
Brutal
Sensual
Passionate
Angsty
And kind of a shot at second chance at love
My God! This book! This is another epic hit by Samantha Young. I just adore and love her books, the characters she creates and amazing settings / scenery and plot. Her characters are always complex, flawed and have a room for their development and change for the better. I absolutely LOVED every single bit of this book!
I can’t wait for you guys to read this book. It’s amazing and I think this book will be readers favorite. I mean who doesn’t like a brooding Scotsman and a spunky feisty heroine?
This book is funny, witty, sexy with a lot of bantering, angst, heart and a little heartbreak aside. The banter between Caleb and Ava was giving me life. Honestly, their banter was everything and a highlight of my reading. I just love romances when characters bicker a lot and start not liking each other but in the end up loving each other and spending the rest of their lives together.
Caleb and Ava’s first meeting did not go well. They met under unfortunate circumstances Both have been dealing with a lot on their minds, their demons, issues and plus stress of flying. So they started yelling at each other and bantering. I loved their chemistry and they were full of tension and angst. She kept up with him and she was really brave and strong. She is truly a perfect match for Caleb. Caleb is really rude, brooding and gruff but once when you get to know him you will understand him better and fall in love with him. It started as a physical relationship and became more. Their passion and connection don’t diminish. I think they just grow more and more, the more they spend time together. Love how they accidentally meet each other again, even when they think they would never see each other after the airport encounter. That might have to do something with the universe and destiny. They are so good together that they start to trust each other, giving the pieces of them to each other (un)intentionally and slowly becoming friends. I love their detailed, well written and well developed backstories because it helped me understand both characters more. Loved Ava and Caleb’s inner monologue, demons and turmoil and how they’re dealing with not wanting anything serious, but at the same time, they can’t stay away from each other and can’t let each other go. I love the way Caleb sees Ava and wants her to feel loved – even if he doesn’t do that intentionally. Caleb and Ava’s story is so addictive, riveting, passionate and at times heartbreaking. I thoroughly enjoyed their enemies to lovers romance.
This book was more than just romance: it was about friendship, loss, finding oneself, forgiveness and acceptance; giving a love second chance. The interaction between all the characters was amazing. I’m really hoping for Harper’s book, Ava’s friend and maybe to get to know Caleb’s family and his brother Jamie.
Ava is about to fly back home from Phoenix to Boston. She’s been in town for a difficult family situation and she’s pretty stressed already. That’s when she runs into this hot guy with his sexy scottish accent. He’s hot and sexy and … nothing more! He’s an idiot! Every single time she comes across him at the airport, he’s such an … grrrrrrr!
And then they even end up sitting next to each other on the plane!
Let the fun times begin! Because next to all those insults … the sparks are flying too!
What will happen with Ava & Caleb??
Will there be a Happy End??
READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT!
Awwww that was soooo adorably hilarious!!
I just adored everything about Ava and Caleb from the very first moment!
You start reading and you just love those two. Caleb is so over-the-top rude to Ava. He thinks she’s this little rich girl with her expensive designer clothes. And of course Ava insults him right back. I laughed all through the beginning of the book.
But the book has some not so funny moments too. We go back in time a few times. Back to teenaged Ava and her two best friends. And there are some other exciting and even scary moments along the way.
But mostly it’s about Ava and Caleb and how they’re dealing with not wanting anything serious, but at the same time, they can’t stay away from each other. I just loved their foreplay fighting!
Getting those two to their happily ever after will not be easy!
We also get to know some more people. Like Ava’s bestie Harper – I really hope we’ll get her book too … and Leo and Caleb’s siblings – especially JAMIE!
SAM, PLEASE GIVE ME ALLLL THESE BOOKS!
If we don’t get at least Harper’s book, I would have to complain that we heard a tiny little bit too much about her life in this book!
And while I’m complaining about things. I think the mega-rom-com-ness from the beginning gets a bit lost along the way. I would’ve loved some more of that sprinkled along the story. BUT … the story was amazing the way it was… I just missed the fun a little bit … The book was maybe a bit too long, with all their back and forth …
Still – amazing book. I even shed some tears!
I loved Ava & Caleb and I need more from that world!
And I soooo need to see this on Netflix or the big screen!
With Sam Heughan and … I would say a young Reese Witherspoon maybe.
FIGHT OR FLIGHT was the most adorably hilarious & serious & adorable Rom-Com. Run to your nearest amazon for your own sexy Scot – he’ll be sold out in no time!
Caleb is just a delightful man, “his eyes narrowed. “Do you always eat like you’re having an orgasm, or is the show just for me?” Ava knows just where to poke that bear, “…I reached up and ran my fingers over the prickle of thick stubble on his face and whispered, “Will it tickle my thighs?” Caleb’s eyes flashed and I swear I heard him growl, before he slapped a lot of cash down on the bar…” Caleb sometimes has a one track mind, “…his fingers disappearing under the hem of my shorts. “You’re being cute. So now I dinnae want tae watch the movie,” he whispered, the amusement giving away to heat.” I loved this book, there was so much angst between Ava and Caleb. Caleb had his panties in a wad most of the book, but Ava wasn’t deterred
