I have read a lot of her books, she has done a great job at writing another good book. This is also one of my favourites, I can’t wait to read more of her books.
I received an ARC and I’m leaving my honest opinion
Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Once I started I could not put the book down from start to finish you just could not get enough with twists and turns hot and steamy like a rollercoaster ride of emotions that makes you want more with the chemistry and romance.
Thank you for allowing me to review your book.

There was a lot of love being expressed. I enjoyed the characters. I spent 7 hours per two days and 3 third day finishing the story. Love to read more from this author
He will protect her not matter what it takes, even if this cop has to break the law to do it!
Fight for You is the first book in the A Warrior for Her series and is the story of Michael Kincaid, aka Cade, and January James. Their story definitely packs a huge emotional punch to the solar plexus as you are reading it. Once I started reading I could not put this book down and just devoured it, along with more than a few tissues.
I don’t want to give anything away as if you decide to pick this book up, which I definitely recommend you do, then you need to experience it yourself. But let’s just say that the author is going to take you on a journey as they do battle together against the evil that is trying to take over but Cade also needs to protect the only woman who he has loved since he was a child.
This is a really well written book with a great story-line and characters.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
January and Michael are well suited, and it would seem destined to be together if only they would stop messing things up. I enjoyed this story and although it’s the first I’ve read by this author I doubt it shall be the last.

This is the first book I read by Ayden K. Morgen and I was positively surprised by the story. The plot is engaging and the characters are very well written.
When little Michael Kincaid loses his mother, he didn’t expect that as he moved with sweet Ma Rose, his life and destiny would change forever. He soon befriends Titan, and as soon as he lays eyes on his younger sister, January, their fates are traced and intertwined forever.
The neighborhood they live in is not the best, with their gangs and one of their leaders, Kaleo, wanting to recruit both Michael and Titan to their gang, but both manage to stay out of trouble while protecting their block and January.
While dealing with Kaleo’s threats, Michael and January start a relationship and both are completely in love with each other. But when a terrible tragedy strikes them, everything they believed in changes and they eventually separate.
Ten years later, Michael returns to his old home to protect January from Kaleo’s threats and they both have to relearn to trust each other and get rid of the demons of the past so they can move on.
This story is very well written and exciting, full of twists and turns. I loved the story, the characters and all the writing. I highly recommend the reading.
Fight For You is a MUST READ book because of hero himself. Michael is a DON’T MISS hero. This is my fourth book I’ve read from Ayden and I can say that this is without a doubt my favorite one so far. There’s also the fact that Ayden has given her works cameos from her other series. But you don’t necessarily have to read those books but it helps with the overall story.
Story begins when Michael “Cade” Kincaid comes back to his hometown of Los Angeles, to the neighborhood he grew up in. All is not well because of drug lords. For a DEA agent this sets his soul on fire, not only because that section of the city is overrun with drugs but that the woman he has loved is in danger. That is just the tip of the iceberg.
It’s told from the present and flashbacks. Usually those annoy me but this time it only adds to the story. You quickly get a sense that neither hero or heroine knows the full extent to each other’s story’s. There’s been a lot of heartache from the fallout.
January James has been in love with Cade since she first saw him as a kid. But she was always the girl next door. But that doesn’t stop Cade from feeling overprotective of her. You get to them grow into their friendship and how it gradually changes to something more.
But Michael is a orphan who is continuously being begged to join the neighborhood gang but his love for January wants him to keep the block safe. Instead he forms a gang to keep the drugs out and gang free. This is where the story takes a turn and is the cause for their separation. A decade later and January is still defending the block from the locals. And trying to forget that fact that Michael is back in the city.
There’s a larger threat to the neighborhood and to their relationship. Miscommunication and anger keeps them apart but for how long can it last before they figure out the bigger picture?
I really loved watching them grow and find each other again. It’s definitely a edgy grit and glamour kind of book
Ayden K. Morgen, ‘Fight for you’, a Warrior for Her, book 1.
As an ARC reader I received this book for free. And promised an honest review. Here it is. English isn’t my first language. Sorry for errors.
Rating: 4 (out of 5 stars).
In general: From protective best kid/friend to adult guardian/lover.
The main characters in this book are Michael Kincaid ‘Cade’ and the ‘girl next door’ January James (+ her brother Titan).
Cade’s father left his mom before he was born and he lost his mother in a car accident when he was a kid. He’s raised by the nanny (‘Ma Rose’) of his late mom. Ma Rose lives in a bad neighbourhood of LA.
Cade plays a lot with the kids of the home next door, Titan and his younger sister January. She’s small for her age and therefore sometimes harassed by other kids. Cade and Titan protect her. So in a very young age January has a secret crush on her ‘hero’ Cade. And in his teens Cade realises that he also likes her a lot, but that she’s to young to fall in love with.
Cade and Titan fight often to keep their homes and the adjacent park free from the influence of drugs dealing youth gangs. So the gang leader threatens January and he and Cade become enemies for life.
The author, Ayden K. Morgen, describes with a lot of insight the feud between Cade, Titan and January on the one hand and the gangs on the other hand. And how the relationship between Cade, Titan and January develops when they grow older and she also extensively sketches their credible characters with feeling. This is supplemented with exciting action scenes.
I only had some trouble with the construction of the story. For me, too many flashbacks, resulting in a lot of repeats (perhaps a hundred times Cade determines he doesn’t deserve January). And in the first part of the book I read about events and feelings which became only clear to me after – later – reading the flashback explaining the background of these events and feelings. And I didn’t quite understand Cade’s attitude to January: he loves her, but he escapes from her for ten years for he feels her unworthy; he wants to give her freedom but he’s enraged when another boy or man flirts or laughs with her.
But all in all for me the book was a pleasure to read.

Wow, this is a fantastic, gritty, and engaging read! The storyline is consistent and realistic. It is well written, emotionally deep, and action-packed with suspense, twists, drama, emotions, danger, passion, humour, and so much more. The characters are very strong and deep and you will love and root for them. This story is guaranteed to pull you in and grab hold of your interest from start to finish. Strongly recommended.

This is my first read from this author, and apparently I’ve been missing a great opportunity. Cade and January grow up in the same crime-ridden neighborhood, where gangs have taken hold. They have been in love with each other for as long as either of them can remember. Circumstances have kept them apart for years. Until he shows up to help take back the neighborhood, a dirty, gritty job. This is such a great book – strong, compelling characters who belong together, and finally get their second chance. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.

January and Kincaid get a second chance maybe.
This book has flashbacks of a better time and the worst of times.
A childhood love story turned tragic.
Guilt and shame tore them apart.
Years later maybe they have a second chance Kincaid just has to keep January safe, explain the truth and hope for forgiveness. With a dual POV.
Fighting for love, life, forgiveness and a HEA.
Crime and gangs closing in.
I really wish I had more stars to award this book! I have been waiting for Michael’s book since I read him in the Teplo Trilogy and this book did not disappoint. He and January are everything a reader could ask for.

it was amazing
What I can say?
Beautiful written story. It is very emotional with interesting storyline.
It is hart breaker and it made me cry.
Definitely enjoy reading and highly recommending
Michael and January sets this story on fire. He is trying to out run his demons but when his past comes calling, he has no choice but to answer the call and boy does he do it in a glorious way! Michael and January’s love and loyalty to each other is touching and goes to show that fate always plays its role flawlessly. This is an emotional challenging story that will touch your heart and have you backing Michael and January as they fight their enemy and settle their past to forge a future together. I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
Gritty and passionate second chance romance.
This is a tale where tragedy and loss break up two lovers who can’t even imagine being with anyone else. Fate plays a twisted hand when they are thrown back together to fight for a new chance at happiness.
Told in two points of view and two different timelines, the plot merges criminal gangs, overrun neighbourhoods, sweethearts since childhood, guilt and death and unbreakable love.
I loved the chapters where Kincaid and January are kids, they are tender and sweet and hopeful. There’s teen angst and family drama too, protectiveness among siblings and plans for the future. Then we have the present with the pieces that remain of destruction, love and hope, and it gets darker, more painful, while the more mature characters face the ultimate challenge. It’s secrets against love, criminals against fallen heroes. All very hard and edgy.
The writing is honest, driven by emotion. It’s romantic when the characters profess their feelings, raw when blood is drawn and hatred is wielded. Some sentences are truly remarkable. Some scenes really stand out as heartfelt if not heart-breaking when the reasons for the couple’s guilt and pain become clear, or towards the end with that sacrifice that meant so much. The tattooed cop and the teacher go through harrowing changes and acceptance. I think it’s the kind of story that moves you and inspires you to tap your undiscovered strength in the face of unimaginable grief.
They face hell to achieve redemption and forgiveness, and it shows in every page where they fight for each other, for the safety of their home, and to make a home of their own in that beautiful and sweet epilogue with so much soul. Pretty impressive.
It’s not my first book from this author so I knew I would enjoy the style and the intense male characters, so I was really pleased with seeing other characters from a previous storyline that merges seamlessly with this one. It’s a whole new world, my friends Let’s read it.
This book is so good! I love the story and the way the two main characters interact so differently over the course of the book including how different they are when they are kids. The flashback scenes are incredible in that they are able to convey and give so much back story when you really want it. The writing is so fun to read and gives you a meaty story that you feel so satisfied with in the end. This book is hot, emotional, interesting, sweet, and intense and I wholeheartedly recommend it. Ayden really is one of my favorite authors and if you like romance with a in-depth plot you will love this!
FANTASTIC ! This was a really good book !! It captures you from the start and never lets you down. It’s very emotional so you may wanna get some tissues. Cade and January go through sooo much in their life that it would break a lesser person. They are both strong characters, although sometimes it appears January isn’t. But that’s got to do with her not believing she has the strength on her own. With them growing up in the hood and fighting for what they want can bring all kinds of trouble and boy does it. When Michael (Cade), age 7, sees January, age 4, for the first time he wants to protect her from there on out. Cade and Titan, her brother, try to do just that until tragedy hits and everything goes all wrong. Definitely a must read !!
I received this as an ARC book for my honest and voluntary review.
Ayden K. Morgen has written a book about January and Cade. Cade fell in love with January when he met her and she had a thing for him. When they got older they became a couple and were fine until something happened to cause the deaths of her mom and brother. January blames Cade and he blames himself. He leaves town and now 10 yrs later he is back. Cade finds out that January is in a little trouble with a local gang. He is going to do everything he can to protect her. The chemistry between them is still there and they get back together. Everything is fine with them until Cade tells January the truth about the night her mom and brother are killed, She tells him to leave her alone.
Can Cade make January understand that what he did all those years ago was to protect her or will he lose her?
Will January forgive Cade for the things he withheld from her and give him a second chance or will she send him on his way?
This book has some twists and turns, secrets that need to be brought out into the open so that old hurts can heal. It will have you from the first page until the last. I would recommend this book to anyone.

Raw. Gritty. Amazing!
As always, Ayden blows us away with her cutting edge, honest, emotion-driven novel. You feel the constant pain, pull and tug of each through each character as they rediscover a love that was so remarkable that they can’t seem to escape no matter how long, how far, or how much has happened between them. I’m a huge fan of second chance romances, and this one pulls at every heartstring imaginable.
By the end of the book, I was both defeated and uplifted. I didn’t want it to end. I’m still suffering from a bit of hangover! I can’t express the passion you feel burning off these pages. This is a must read for anyone who loves to see a good guy win in the most dire of circumstances and a strong woman who is willing to stand up for love and honor.
What a whirlwind of emotions! From the very 1st page. I enjoyed falling in love with these characters so so much! I CANNOT wait for another installment. This is currently marked as my #1 favorite from A.K.
The way this book made me feel is indescribable. I felt like I was watching this whole book play out on a movie.
I could not put it down.
Bravo A.K. keep them coming PLEASE!!
