FIVE SMALL TOWN STARS for Sydney and Declan !!!
This is the second book I’ve read by Corinne Michaels and I absolutely love it!
She wrote one more emotional love story which stole my heart.
“Fight for Me” is a small town romance book with a second chance and slow-burn trope, and much more.
I love Sydney and Declan’s relationship. It’s really emotional and shows us that true love can overcome everything even broken promises if you fight for it.
If you love “Come Back for Me” the first book from “The Arrowood Brothers” series and you also love Corinne’s writing style, then this is a book for you!!!
Highly recommended!!!

Once again Corinne Michaels has hit me straight in the heart with her words. Fight For Me is an emotional second chance love story. Declan is back in town after eight years and Sydney is doing her best not to let him hurt her more than she’s already hurting. Unfortunately, that’s easier said than done. Grab this one today and be sure to have those tissues ready!
The latest second chance romance from Corinne that you don’t want to miss!
Whoa. I’m just blown away right now. I had no idea Corinne Michaels had new ways of absolutely shattering my battle-weary heart and putting me back together, but then, here we are. I’m just a riot of emotions, and have been since finishing Fight For Me. Twelve hours later and I still can’t put into words how magnificently crafted this beautiful second chance love story truly is.
Declan and Sydney absolutely decimated me. I bawled and got angry at times, but I also laughed, got giddy and swooned so hard. Yes, I hurt, but I also healed right along with Sydney & Declan. Theirs is a love that cannot be denied and it’s absolutely beautiful.
“My path is clear— it’s always the one that leads to you.”
“A True second shot will split the first and create a solid path”
Exactly what this book delivered ! A truly beautiful heart filled second chance for Declan and his one true love Sydney
The road ahead isn’t straight, forward it isn’t easy, but when Declan steps back into sugarloaf, his heart beats. Syd feels it and feels it to her bones ! Everything you have come to expect from Corinne is here and more !
These Arrowood brothers, should come with a warning ! Each book is going to be epic and there’s still two brothers to come !

Diz
These Arrowood Brothers will be the death of me! They have me hooked… Connor in book 1 started it off and now it’s the turn of Declan and he is no exception….
Declan and Sydney’s story was everything you come to expect from a Corinne Michaels book, including her trademark “I’m evil and I’m going to make my readers cry so much, they’re gonna be an ugly sobbing mess”… Yup, she did that!
The history that the brother have is difficult and it’s had a HUGE impact in all of their lives. Declan lost his childhood sweetheart because of his past. Only Sydney doesn’t really understand why. How could he just up and leave the one he supposedly loves? Can Declan get past his demons and finally open up to Sydney?
Sydney on the other hand has her own surprise when Declan comes back to town. And she has some big decisions she needs to make. But Declan coming back could just change everything…
This book has all the FEELS and all the emotion! It’s an absolutely WONDERFUL second-chance romance. Perfect!
MUST-READ!
Wow!! What can I say about Fight for Me by Corinne Michaels. Every time I think I have read her best book written she outdoes herself. Declan and Sydney are the second couple up in the Arrowood Brother Series and boy do those brothers keep getting better. Corinne bring these characters to life and you go on their ride with them. All the ups and downs you are happy to go along with. So many emotions. Cannot wait for more of the Arrowood Brothers!!
These Arrowood brothers have been through so much. Much like all of Corinne’s heroes And heroines, they have lived, been through life, and are still finding their “home”. I knew from the time Declan made his first appearance I would love him. The weight that sat on his shoulders in that first introduction, endeared me to him.
Getting to know Declan’s love for Sydney was amazing. I felt so proud of Sydney, for how strong she was in trying to protect her heart. But a love like theirs is embedded in their souls. Learning to trust in each other again, trying to keep loyalty to the ones you love, including ones just coming into their lives. Getting to know the bond between these brothers is such a special experience, I think it’s one of the things this author has perfected. The bond in her series makes you wish you could live in these stories and never have to go back to reality. How I loved having Milo’s taunting charm and our second “guest” appearance! Watching Declan finally put his life for Sydney first, being the man she’s waited for all these years was worth it ALL!
I’m so excited to get to know Sean and Devney. And getting to virtually squeeze those beautiful little babies!!!
Well written book. I absolutely love this book, it’s interesting from beginning till the end. Emotional, tearful and full of angsts.
Corinne Michaels seems to have gone all out for narrators in this series, they’re all my faves. Book 2, Sydney and Declan’s story boasts Andi Arndt (who not only has a fantastic female voice, she is also the best when it comes to reading men’s POV), and of course Sebastian York (swoon). We met both Declan and Sydney in book 1, Connor’s story. Declan is the eldest Arrowood and therefore the one who thinks he needs to be both responsible and dependable for his younger siblings. An emotional second chance romance that had me wanting to shake some sense into Declan Arrowood, he was so stubborn, determined to punish himself for his father’s sins. I loved Sydney, her love for Declan never wavered. Lots of passion, and a couple of surprises (good and bad), add in a cameo from the delectable Shane East, and I was in audio heaven.
“My heart and soul have always belonged to one person, and it never will be anyone else’s.”
Oh baby. Just when I thought I couldn’t love an Arrowood brother more, Declan moves to town. My heart hurt for Declan and Sydney. The two were childhood sweethearts, then to her, out of nowhere Declan breaks her heart. Their history is sweet and cute, their second chance rocky and beautiful. This book consumed me, it was hard to put down and didn’t want their story to end. As much as they both try to keep each other at arms length their love and pull towards each other is so strong that it’s impossible for them to stay away. Corinne’s writing was beautiful and had me tearing up and feeling all the angst and emotions and hardships these characters were feeling and going through.
This book is emotional, and sweet and all the things a good romance book should be. I really enjoyed it!
~~top 10 recommended~~
In one word the love that Declan and Sydney has is WOW. In many ways they might seem like a modern day star crossed lovers but actually still in love with each other. Sydney has been the only one to really understand him and it scares him that the love he has for her is stronger than ever. I loved that Sydney is the only one who actually has all the cards on her side and can easily bring Declan to his knees. Corinne Michaels shows not just love but a bond between these two that cannot be broken. Six months is all he has yet Sydney wants more. Loved that the more she denies the feelings towards him fate steps in and well makes them see what is important. This is the second book of The Arrowood brothers and dang is it getting hotter than ever. Not only will you laugh, cry but Corinne Michaels is going to tear you apart with these brothers and Declan finally seeing what is important right now. Loved it.
“I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.”
I had purchased this book as soon as it was published but didn’t get a chance to read it sooner. But I wanted to read this book before the next book in the series was published. This is a beautiful second chance romance. Declan and Sydney were in love since high school and Declan breaks her heart . The story was captivating and absolutely heartwarming. I was in love with Declan and Sydney. They were pure perfection and I can’t wait to read Sean’s story next. A must read!
Since this is a Corinne Michaels book, you know you’ll need some tissues, right?
Meet Declan Arrowood. He has loved Sydney since forever, but he doesn’t believe he’s worthy–or able–to be with her the way she deserves. So he does exactly what a Corinne Michaels’ hero would do and he leaves her.
Since this is a second-chance romance, Declan and Sydney come into each other’s orbits years later, only their pain over their breakup is as fresh as the day it happened. Granted, Declan at least knows why he left; Sydney still doesn’t understand.
One thing that surprised me is how Corinne Michaels doesn’t take a whole book to bring Declan and Sydney back together. Lest you think this is good news, however, please allow me to tell you that she has a WALLOP coming your way that necessitates said tissues.
The romance is hot and gives you the tingles, and you will love Declan and Sydney. The wallop feels a little manipulative, though. As its scenes played out, I found myself not caring as much as I think I should have. I would have respected this scenario more had a certain tragedy occur because then it would have felt less contrived.
I dig those Arrowood boys, though, and I am all in on their series.
Corinne Michaels knows how to play with the reader’s heart. She tests how long you will wait until you shed a tear or two, or throw kindle at the wall. Declan and Sydney’s story in exactly like that. Filled with angst, heartache, uncontrolled feeling, and love so deep you could feel it pouring through pages.
“A life without love isn’t living, it’s just existing and you were destined to live.”
This second chance romance will test your emotions and limits. You will laugh, swoon, hurt and even want to punch the hero once or twice. There is something truly amazing in second chance romance stories where you can feel the longing and even stronger pulls between heroes, even after years apart. Sydney and Declan gravitated toward each other, craved every single stare or touch. Syd was very sure of her feelings toward Declan but he thought of himself as unworthy.
But when life brings unpredictable surprises you have to fight before everything will fall apart.
I really enjoyed Fight for Me. I loved Sydney a little bit more than Declan. He did not steal my heart, it still belongs to Connor. But the next brothers are coming and we will see. I can’t wait for getting back to this amazing world!
Oh gawd, the waterworks definitely flowed in this one. Like, literally the last few chapters had my tears flowing steadily because the feels is so real and hit me right in the heart. Ugh!
Fight for Me is the second book in this series of stand-alone, second chance, small town romance with surprise baby trope in it. I loved everything in this book- from its flawed and broken characters, fluid story line and its secondary characters. I admit, Declan made me want to tear my hair out because of his stubbornness but of course, it’s half of Arrowood charm I guess. Sydney is definitely my girl. I like her steadfast, strong and resilient character. Her firm resolve though still heartbroken, to work everything things out is admirable and relatable in this time and age. I loved how the author wrapped things up and left us some teaser for Sean’s story.
This book slayed me. Oh how it slayed me. Most of the book Declan drove me nuts. I didn’t know if I wanted to throttle him or pull him in for a big hug and tell him everything will be okay. He continually broke Sydney’s heart. She was his childhood sweetheart. His everything but for reasons only he and his brothers understand, he had to leave her and Sugar Loaf. I liked that Sydney was honest about her feelings and that she knew what she needed to do and took action. But man, she was a hot mess. But I did love how it all came together. How in the end they fought for one another and their future. This is a great series. The angst, the warmth and the love that the characters all showed for one another. It makes me wanting to keep going back to Sugar Loaf.
So good!
I love these characters. Declan and Sydney have loved each other since they were kids. I like their sizzle of their attraction. They can’t stay away from each other.
The Arrowood boys all united to swear they would never be like their Dad. They also vowed to never come back to the farm. They came back when their father died. In order to get their inheritance they each have to stay at the farm for six months.
The scenes at the hospital are so emotional. I was on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next. From that point the story just came to a wonderful end. I was rooting for Syd and Declan to come together as they should have been years earlier.
I really like this series. I look forward to Sean and Devney’s story. I will have to go back when all the series is done to read them all one after another. Waiting for the next installment is so hard. I hope you like this book as much as I did.
