New York Times Bestseller, Pepper Winters, brings a new Dark Romance Series to life. This is the final book the multiple USA Today Bestselling Romance, Goddess Isles!
“There was a beginning once. A beginning that started with being sold to a monster I fell for.
There was an ending once. An ending that came cloaked in bloodshed and fury.”
Eleanor Grace is a simple mortal who has the power to … simple mortal who has the power to topple a god. She captured his heart, fed him a different future, and fought for a fantasy that wasn’t make-believe but destiny.
Sully Sinclair is a man masquerading as a monster. He let down his shields and allowed a goddess to show him a simpler path. However, neither of them could predict the war that was coming, nor the toll it would take.
A fated romance.
A fight that will finish in tears.
The age-old battle of good versus evil.

This was such an epic series, and this was the perfect ending for it! You really grow to respect Jinx thru this series for her strength and determination, and that really shines in this last book. She’s really tested, and you have to feel for her! Sully got lucky with her! This was a great conclusion to another wonderful series….Pepper Winters remains one of my favorite dark romance authors!!
Intense!! That is how I would describe this whole series, but especially this last book. I wasn’t sure what to expect because you just never know with Pepper what crazy journey she will take you on and this one was sheer perfection. I won’t soon forget Sullivan Sinclair and Goddess Eleanor Jinx and nor do I want to. This book was such a journey literally from start to finish filled with all the emotions you can imagine and some I don’t even have words for. I am so glad I took the journey to the Goddess Isles and I will highly highly recommend this series to everyone I know who like dark and twisted. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book for an honest review.
This is the conclusion of the most tragically beautiful story. Tragic, because of all the darkness and drama Sully brings and beautiful because of the sweetness and light that she brings out of his darkness and bitterness. Their story will enthrall you and hook you from the first page to the last. This is not a story for the faint of heart and one that will stay with you for a long time. Pepper Winters I bow to your talent for writing these intensely complex story that you bring to life. I honestly volunteered to read this series.
Fifth A Fury is the fifth book in the Goddess Isles series. I can’t believe we’re here and it’s the end. I’m going to miss Eleanor and Sully. I never thought there would be another series who would come close to the Indebted series, which is my favorite series of all time. This one puts them to close to a tie. I love them both so much!
This book was the most intense and emotional read throughout the entire series. We all knew it was coming. Holding our breath. Waiting to see how it would go down. I can say one thing. Drake is a piece of work. How can one man do so much damage? A monster who deserves everything thrown at him.
“You took so many pieces of my happiness. You never let me be who I could’ve become because you took so much of my trust. This…this is my attempt at showing you how it feels to exist with parts of you missing. Parts you need to be a functional individual. Parts that are integral to being human.”
This wasn’t an easy read. My emotions we’re all over the place.
What I loved the most was seeing a completely different side of Sully I’ve never seen before. With each book, we only get to see parts of him. Like pieces to a puzzle. When pieced together, he’s truly a beautiful man inside and out.
“When we first met, I’d seen a stunning girl who’d enticed and intoxicated me. Now, I saw a queen who I kept falling in love with.”
Not only did Sully leave me breathless, Eleanor stunned me with how much she fought by Sully’s side. You can’t have a king without his queen.
“I knew, even then. When you first spoke to me, your voice reached past my ribs and claimed my heart. I told myself it was loathing. I mean…how could I ever fall in love from just a stare? But…I had. I’d found you. I was home.”
The Goddess of Isles series is truly amazing! One I’ll never forget.
This series has been an insanely intense experience. The hero to drool over, the heroine you love, and the villain you just can’t stand. I’ve loved every minute of it.
These passionate characters have stolen a piece of my heart, and I don’t want it back. Pepper has delivered a story with characters that have quickly become my favorite from her.
This journey has been a wild ride so far, but this book, you have no idea what’s coming for you. It will leave you breathless with it’s intense scenes, passionate emotions, and heart-stopping action.
I’m so excited for everyone to get to this book. You’re going to feel this one in your soul, it’s pure magic.
I absolutely did not want to leave the Goddess Isles nor for this series to end!
Pepper Winters wrote a phenomenal story that engulfed me with so much pain and pleasure. The feelings she evoked from me were surreal and beautifully provocative to the point of delirium!
I shall miss Sully and Eleanor but I’m happy for having read their story. Thank you Pepper for enriching my reading experience.
This is a dark read but yet so engrossing you can’t help but see the light that illuminates Sully and Eleanor Jinx!
I highly recommend this whole series!
I’m so in love with Pepper’s writing. Her series will always and I mean ALWAYS leave you clutching your heart because as much as she makes us scream and shout at her characters she always manages to make our hearts soar with her words and those beautiful endings we get.
Sully and Eleanor will forever be a part of me, this series was beyond wonderful. These characters will make you fall in love with them and following their journey was such a joyous ride as it also had it’s turmoil at times.
In true Pepper style you will enjoy this ride from beginning to end.
I can’t really divulge the story because then I would ruin it for everyone and that’s the last thing I want, all I can tell you is READ IT if you love this author’s style of writing or author’s with similar style.
This is definitely a series that will be on top of my 2020 reads!
Fifth A Fury is the 5th and final book in the Goddess Isles series, Pepper has absolutely out done herself not only with this book but the entire series! Every cover was astronomical and the words behind the cover will absolutely blow you away!!! Sully and Eleanor’s story is absolutely addictive and unforgettable! Once you finish this book you will want to re-read the entire series because you will not be able to get enough!!! Absolute perfection!!!!!!
4.5 “The Myth is Reality” Stars
Fifth a Fury ended the Goddess Isles Series in such a satisfying way! Eleanor and Sully’s spectacular story is still paved with multiple obstacles, but their love is what keeps them fighting for a happily ever after! I loved this couple and their two little companions, Pika and Skittles, so much throughout the series. Pepper Winters certainly created a very interesting and fascinating cast of characters in this must read series that will stay with me for a long time.
I’ll admit that this fifth novel wasn’t my favorite in the series, maybe because it just wasn’t a good time for me when I read it. Compared to the previous books, I just felt that the story was dragging at times and had a different vibe. Some of it might also be due to the fact that Eleanor and Sully spend a lot of time apart. These complications I was talking about earlier make their relationship arduous, but prove just how far they would go for each others.
I don’t know what to say more about this series and these phenomenal protagonists, because I feel everything has already been said in my other reviews. Pepper Winters concluded my favorite series of 2020 with a very suspenseful and heartbreaking story mixed with erotic encounters and sweet moments. I won’t forget this special world anytime soon.
** ARC received in exchange for an honest review **
Pepper Winters has gone above and beyond with the Goddess Isles Series. Fifth a Fury is the last book in the series and will leave you absolutely in awe of her writing. This story will leave you breathless from start to finish. Sully and Eleanor’s journey is one FULL of twists and turns, death, destruction, and emotions that will leave you all over the place. This is a series that will stay with you forever. Goddess Isles is hands down the BEST dark and dirty romance series that I’ve ever read. I highly suggest reading the entire series!
Omg this series has been epic! The excitement, the sex, the suspense, the heartache, the twists, THE SEX!! Fuck. It’s been an emotional and just a rough fucking ride and I’ve loved every minute of it. The books just kept getting better and better. Fifth a Fury is a nonstop intensity and pain that only Pepper knows how to make us crave.
I have to take a minute to talk about the playlist for this book. It is absolute perfection! I don’t normally listen to music while reading, but I listened to this playlist throughout all five books. And let me tell you- I didn’t just READ this series, I EXPERIENCED it. The songs apply perfectly for all of the books and I will forever think of Sully and Jinx when I hear them.
If you haven’t started this series or maybe you’ve been waiting until all five books were released, NOW IS THIS TIME. Goddess Isles is now complete and absolutely binge-worthy. Lovers of dark romance can absolutely not miss this series! I highly, HIGHLY recommend!!
Hell has no fury like a man scorned by his brother. Fury by definition is extreme anger used with violence and force. It’s a fury fest. After the storm settled the world as we knew it changed and adapted in unimaginable ways.
Overall:
Fury is the dominating force in this fifth and final book. No rules to follow and no laws to obey became the striving force of this book. These men were fueled by fury.
In this fifth and final book Pepper brings you the myth, the wish, the kiss, the lie, and the fury all together for one final merge. When combined these five words make up one word: love.
Pepper stayed consistent in her quest to write a story filled with animals, birds, elixir, and dangerous brothers. The final book lives up to its title of fury. There was anger and violence.
Peppers medical research was astounding. Bravo! Her efforts to provide reasonable explanations didn’t go unnoticed.
Pika and Skittles stole the show. These feathered little creatures were adorable.
I love the play on words Pepper uses to describe emotions in this book. I love the way she crafted this beautiful island filled with tropical creatures, plants, food, sand, and water. It’s clean living.
It’s not the outcome I was expecting. Unfortunately, I’ve been conditioned to the dark side and expected something far more sinister. As always Pepper has a way of properly crafting her endings to suit the path of her characters journey. With love, redemption, and forgiveness being the driving force throughout these books it’s plausible to understand the direction she took. It’s befitting to have this island and all its wonders get the second chance it deserves.
Truly the best part of this final book is what’s coming next. While Pepper enriched my life with Goddess Isles and enhanced my reading experience with little feathered creatures I miss the dark erotic pleasures I’ve come to love. Although, Each male character she’s created owns a special place in my heart.
This series has the most Pepper moments out of all her books. Any fan of Pepper will see her passion come to life in this book. Her love of animals, her love of exotic foods, her love of having limited access to other people, and her love of tropical paradises.
This is Pepper’s triumph in the Goddess Isles series!
My emotions were raw reading this book and I actually had to pause reading as my tears blurred the pages. Pepper knows how to pull your strings between suspense, hope, fear, dread and happiness. Sully and Eleanor’s story will become one of those remembered in time as a testament to true love! This series is a must read for those who love romance with a dark twist.
Truly speechless!!!
This book, this entire series has shredded me, it gripped me, it seriously wrapped itself around my poor ‘lil heart and at times it obliterated it! The darkness and the way Pepper tells the story, puts you right there in the midst of it, I felt every single emotion, I cried, I laughed, I felt heartbroken and yet it was also heartwarming! And also…hot!!!! Believe me when I say, this most definitely should NOT be read in public!!!!! Oooh, I definitely needed to lie down in dark room a few times
The storyline?….people, whatever you thought? Whatever you expect? Whatever you hope for? Forget it!!! Your wrong! And you’ll thank all things you were because the way it all panned out?… perfection at its finest!!!!
At times I tried to take a break, I needed to take a break! But I just couldn’t and although I tried to take my time reading it because I didn’t want it to end – I couldn’t, I NEEDED to know what happened next!
Pepper Winters has a special kind of mind to be able to write like this and I thank her deeply for sharing it with me!!!
The best series by far that the author has ever written!!!!!
If I could give this book and entire series more than 5 stars I would.
How do I even begin to write a review that can even touch on the epicness that is this book? This is a serious question. I pursued a degree in literature because I wanted to be able to dive deep into books and be able to explain what the words or author authors were saying, and more importantly, why they might evoke emotions. Yet, I posit, how I can do this book justice? I am not sure I can but I will try.
From the beginning of this series the person that was always in control was Sully. Sure it could be argued that Elanor held the cards. In many ways she did, but it was Sully that ultimately still was the puppetmaster. However, this book changed the game. Elanor was truly a deity in a land of mere mortals. Her strength, resilience, grace, devotion, and perseverance was everything that I could have wanted and more in a female character. I cried when she cried, I felt despair and anger when she did, and more importantly, I felt the joy and love when she did. THAT is powerful when an author has the ability to do that to someone just with her words.
That is not to say that Sully was weak in this one. He had his moments of being his typical god/devil-like self. I was not expecting his journey to be like it was. My heart hurt so many times and seeing what he was experiencing hurt just as much as what I felt for Elanor. When he triumphed, I cheered. When he fought valiantly, I had his back, and when he became a better man my heart soared that he could be this for Elanor AND because he was redeemed because of her. That takes power, too, because this author created a character that was vile and showed that despite his flaws he was worthy. Instead of the Devil falling from the heavens, he instead became a phoenix rising from the ashes into a new body and having a new purpose. I always vowed that no one could replace Jethro or Elder who was closing in on being number one. I was wrong. Sullivan owns my heart, unequivocally and always. #MoveOverJethro #SullivanisMyForeverAndAlways #SulliedbySully
A world was created that had me suspend my beliefs and lose myself in more than just the figurative way that readers do when they get lost in their imagination. This was losing myself literally in not only the words but also in the fantasy that was because of the effects of Euphoria and the Goddess Isles. Even though the premise behind how these two characters fell in love would not be my choice in real life, it worked in this series. Even though the premise was dark and deplorable it soon lost that feeling as instead, I felt invested in everything that was this series. That includes not just the main characters but the secondary ones, the animals, the sanctuary, and the island itself. If there was a heaven on earth I imagine it is this place where the past can be reforged from the ashes and that sins can be cleansed away.
This ending was everything I could have wanted and more. Granted, I bit a few nails down to the quick before I got there. However, it was worth every drop of wine (okay the bottle–don’t judge), every agonizing dream as I waited for the next book to be released, and reminded me yet again why this author is a one-click/preorder even before I have a blurb of what the book is about. She is truly one of a kind. The emails in this one made my HEART jump with joy because I got to be reminded of what and how I came to discover her. Seeing how Sully came to dream about his Goddess… just truly everything I could have wanted and more.
It is always bittersweet to see a series end and that is, most assuredly, true in this case. These characters, including Pika and Skittles, have become my friends and family, yet, this is a series that will be going in my all-time vault and I will be reading them again so that I can visit them often. AND the SURPRISE at the end?!?!?! Just sign me up now.
I know I was supposed to write a review that explained how amazing this book is. Yet, instead, I rambled like a shiny squirrel (which is something this author is prone to making me do). However, in this case, maybe my ramblings of a crazy fan that was sullied by Sully and bewitched by the Goddess Jinx is the best compliment and review I can give.
It is hard to come up with words to describe the emotions running through me as I read the conclusion of this series. I had some expectations, some predictions, some hopes between every pivotal event from the moment I began reading Once A Myth to the final word in Fifth a Fury; yet all of them were blown away by the unique outcome carefully woven by the author.
I laughed. I cried. I mourned. I rejoiced. My heart was lost to this couple from the very start. Sully and Eleanor’s tale will lead you into unchartered waters. You may experience waves of emotion receding into ripples of amusement and euphoria.
Winters has always led her readers into an immersive, atmospheric world and Goddess Isles is a place I would love to be lost in forever. Her multilayered characters are sheer perfection and her plots will keep you hooked until the wee hours of the morning. This new series upholds that Winters is still at the top of her game. It will delight both the author’s legion of fans and those who finally decide it’s time to find out just what Pepper Winters is all about.
“A god who hadn’t been able to protect his goddess. I was no longer divine. I was no longer human. I was a vampire thirsting for blood. I was hell. I was death. I. Am. Fury.”
Holy moly. Cheese. On. A. Stick.
What an absolute whirlwind of emotions! I had no idea what the final installment of goddess Isles would be like, but I was not expecting the heart pounding got wrenching emotional roller coaster this book took me on.
The absolute darkness and twisted imagery that Pepper Winters takes readers on with the story about Drake. (I nearly upchucked a few times) And the intense love story that she takes her readers on between Sully and Eleanor.. oh man!
“The hum that never failed to spark between us struck a smouldering match. Our linked souls sank deeper into their connection. We were joined, knotted and tangled. For always.”
I cried. This is the book that got me. You never know when an author is going to rip a character away or if they’ll give you that happily ever after that we all try to root for. I feel like Pepper Winters executed keeping us readers on our toes for a long time before we knew how this story was going to end. And I absolutely loved that it wasn’t completely predictable.
“I’d loved her before, but now? Now, I couldn’t comprehend the depth that’d carved me out and filled me with eternal, ever after, and every unconditional love imaginable. I love her.”
Thank you Pepper Winters for giving me this experience of reading advance reader copies.. I ended up buying them all in paperback because I know I’ll love and enjoy diving into this world again and again.
5 amazing stars.
Picka and Skittles. I love you.
Wow! Talk about an amazing ride! I couldn’t put down this book! The ending is simply amazing. This series was addictive and you will be thrilled with the hea!!!!
Fifth a Fury was the perfect ending to this series. Pepper’s writing was truly magical.
“Black magic.
Dark magic.
A magic that would extract its payment in souls.”
Through out all 4 other books, Pepper Winters has put Sully and Elenore through so many self discovery trials, growth was mandatory, and it was no different with book 5. Sully and Elenore struggle, and hurt and make ultimate sacrifices for one enough untill the end result is either perfection, or downward spirals into monstrous territory.
“Began like a thunderstorm. Black clouds. Rumbling thunder. Wind and rain and lightning bolts. And it ended as a hurricane”
Book 5 was a rollercoaster, so many times you believed it would end on a high note just to realize the fall had already started.
“I was no longer voyeur to a man who’d lost everything. I was that man who’d lost everything”
So here we are on book five and honestly I would read another five books in this series if I could.
When Pepper first touted Sully Eleanor’s story I was not sure what to think but they have become one of my favourite couples. Every book in the series has transported me to another land. The storyline is unique and the characters fascinating. I had no clue how the story was going to end but this conclusion was perfect and everything I never knew wanted. This has been a ride and a half one I would happily take again.
