Two hearts will never forget, especially when they belong to fated mates.Starla Fournier never thought she’d see her loved ones again, and that included Rourke Mackenzie, her childhood friend. Plagued by guilt and shame from the circumstances surrounding her disappearance, she’s finally reunited with her family. The reunion is tainted by the knowledge that her adoptive pride is anxious for her … adoptive pride is anxious for her return. When he finally sees Starla again, the wolf inside of him wants nothing more than to claim her as his, but his human side can’t ignore the betrayal of her disappearance. Just when he thinks they’ll be able to resolve their differences, a dangerous shifter steps forward to claim her. Rourke will have to act fast in order to protect his mate.
This sexy shapeshifter novelette includes a happily-ever-after as well as explicit love scenes and naughty language. It is intended for adults.

Starla Fournier grew up believing that her entire family died in a fire. She was adopted by a couple who were part of a pride in Florida and is now engaged. But things are not what they seem. Rourke Mackenzie was Starla’s childhood friend and he’s always loved her. Now he knows she is his mate but do they have another chance?
I loved this series and this book was an excellent conclusion. It was well-written with wonderful characters. I really liked the Fournier clan and it was great to see Starla regain her inner fire and make her life her own. I was pulled into the story from the beginning and kept hooked until the end. I highly recommend both book and series which I suggest you read in order for the most enjoyment.
This was great, finally seeing Starla’s story and watching her grow as a character so quickly. This was a great end to the series and this family made itself whole again.
Starla has been found but can she find a place for herself with her previous family, or is there a reason she feels compelled to return to Florida? Rourke was her best friend growing up and can’t understand why Starla didn’t contact him when she disappeared. Can these two tortured souls find peace and happiness together or will Starla be taken away again? I loved the ending to this story, it was a great way to finalise the series.
I received a complimentary copy of this book, and this is my honest review
In this 8th book, we get Starla’s story finally. What happened to her? Where did she end up? How? We see what happened that it was assumed she was dead. We also see what demons have plagued her all of her life. We meet ROurke, and get to understand Amellia a bit. We also meet Erich. Who are these folks? When Starla and her adoptive parents show up at the ranch, what happens? What do her parents say to her before they head back home, leaving her to have some alone time with her brothers and sisters? What do Rourke, Amellia, and Erich all do for a living? Who are these people exactly? What transpires in texts and phone calls between Rourke and Amellia was so funny! Holy smokes!!! I did NOT expect the ending that I read! WOW!
