I was done with games. But playing with her is so much fun.Ten years ago, I was all set to compete in the winter Olympics. Then I lost everything—my career, my best friend, and my girlfriend. After that, I stopped playing games for good. I swore never to go back to Colorado. Too many bad memories. Plus, she’s still there. Now I live a simple life as a creative director at Shimura Advertising in New … creative director at Shimura Advertising in New York. All is good, until my boss cons me and my coworkers into spending two weeks in Colorado at Proton Sports’s sleep-away camp for adults, pitching their business. Turns out Proton’s idea of a pitch is making the agencies battle each other in a bunch of ridiculous winter games.
Guess who owns the rival company? Her. And she’s out to get me.
I might just let her win.

Nicole Archer’s third book in Ad Agency book is another laugh out loud sexy romance. Her personable prose and witty repertoire keep this fast-paced tale entertaining while seamlessly working in emotional moments giving deep feeling to her character’s situations and history. Eli and Charlie are unique, well-developed characters, with a long history of love and loss. Finding their way back to each other isn’t easy, but it is inevitable. Along for the ride are all the quirky, beloved characters from the Shimura Ad Agency. Their presence alone makes this book worth reading.
I enjoyed this second chance romance immensely. It’s left me hungry for more. If you’re looking for a read that will put a smile on your face and leave you with a happy feeling in your heart, this is the book for you!
I do recommend reading Road-Tripped and Head-Tripped before beginning Field-Tripped to gain the full impact of this delightfully outstanding series.
What have I been missing?!?!? Nicole Archer is a new-to-me author that I have put on my stalking list. Field-Tripped is a second chance romance between a loser and a chicken. This story had me laughing until I couldn’t breath and shedding a few tears. There’s a bit of a surprise at the end that made me love the author even more.
Charlotte ‘Charlie’ Sullivan needs Proton Sports to hire her advertising company so she can sell her business. She’s ready to move on to new adventures. The only obstacle in her way is the Shimura Agency.
Elliot ‘Eli’ St. James has to go on a work trip for Shimura Agency to Colorado. It’s last place he wants to be after he left ten years ago. He had lost everything, his career, his best friend and the love of his life. What are the chances that he would run into her?
Not only do Charlie and Eli rekindle their romance but they also compete in the most hilariously funny winter games. It’s a fight to the end or sometimes just to the bar. It’s not only a competition between two rivaling companies but also to rivaling hearts.
The characters are real, their insecurities, their pain, their misunderstandings are well developed. Then again, this story is not only about complex characters working out their issues. There’s also plenty of humor. Eli killed me with his spirituality in a form of an app. I really enjoyed Field-Tripped. Let the author stalking begin. 5 Stars
Field Tripped is the third book in Nicole Archer’s Ad Agency Series. If you will indulge me for a moment, I am going to cut and paste a part of my review from Book 2; Head-Tripped because I feel the same way about Field-Tripped there are a few updates that will be notated by the *… “I seriously would have rated this with 10 stars if that was an option. I fell in love with Nicole Archer’s writing while reading Road-Tripped Ad Agency Book 1 *and while each is absolutely a stand-alone *books 1 & 2 were super awesome and I think if you read (them) first it will make you smile to see the returning characters. You will have more of a background on *previous characters. Get your Spotify ready because the sound track that accompanies this book is wonderful. The tying together of music/lyrics and the written word is brilliant.”
Field Tripped hooked me from the very first and I have so many highlighted passages that if this were a traditional bound book, the pages would be crinkled from the highlighter and pages would be falling out. “Eli is a chill mofo” who is trying to live a minimalist life because “Buddha said attachment leads to suffering. (He) got that from (his) $5.99 Buddhist quote of the day app.” He works for an ad agency and isn’t quite ready to live the lifestyle that includes nothing so he does something he doesn’t want to do. “Charlie is dog tired” – she works for a rival agency across the country. She has a dogs named Julius Seizure and LL Drool (to name a few) and J totally have a girl crush on Charlie – actually I think I have a girl crush on the author ~blush~.
So here’s what you need to know about the book. It’s funny, it’s sexy, it’s a little emotional, it’s a second chance romance and there is an adult camp involved. Trust me, just read the series – I don’t think you will be disappointed.
Field-Tripped is book 3 in the Ad Agency Series. I think this book can easily be stand-a-lone. The only disappointment that I had with this book is that I wished we revisited with the characters from the first two books more. Not that anything was missing in this book. I, personally, just wanted to read more about them as I enjoy catching up with their lives.
This book as more humor in it that the first two books which I really love. There was several laugh-out-loud moments. The secondary characters really added layers of craziness and depth to the story. Which made me connect more with the story and made it more realistic.
Two Ad Agency’s are in competing in silly games to win a Ad Business. Turns out two ex’s, Eli and Charlie, are on opposite teams. Which adds more competitiveness between the two teams. They have never gotten over each other and their underlying chemistry is sizzling. When they finally give in there is some serious heat!
These two have to work out past issues in order to have a possible future together.
I consider this book a real page turner that I thoroughly enjoyed and I really hope we get to read more about the characters in future books.
Field Tripped is the third hilariously book in the Ad Agency series. Each book can be read as standalone but I do recommend reading the series because it’s fucking awesome! I love how each one revolves around the Ad Agency but the stories are so different from one another. Unique, epic, and sexy, and so much fun!!
It’s been ten years since Eli left Colorado and he didn’t have plans of ever going back to his home state. Especially now that he has simplified his life after a stressful ten years of wild nights of being a DJ, endless women, and his day job at Shimura Ad Agency. He was now living the life of Zen. It was going swimmingly until his boss threatened to give him the boot unless he went on a two-week trip with the team to Colorado to win a client. It’s not like she would be there. The one that broke his heart. The one girl that he ever loved. So why the hell not? He says. Then she walks in…
Charlotte had no idea he would be there. Otherwise, she would have at least put on some make up. Nothing is worse than seeing your sexy ex and looking like you were just saved from the wild. She waited for him back then. He never came back. She moved on the best way she knew how. But she never felt alive not until now. Now, she is ready to play. Play the games to win these clients. Play the games to win to spend time with him. Time to explain herself. Time to figure him out. Time to feel alive even if it’s only for two weeks.
Will their games turn into love?
I love this series! Each one gets better and better. The storylines. The characters. The humor. The heart. The emotions. Everything. I just absolutely love second chance romance. And with the added humor, it makes this book a bonus. Eli and Charlie’s relationship has it’s complications from the past. What I loved about them was that at times it seemed like it had only been a day since they saw each other. At the same time, it was like they don’t know each other at all. It’s shaky ground. They tease. They kiss. They laugh. They fight. The love. They hate. And that is what makes them real. But in the end will the ground level out enough to make them work?
Overall…I needed this book! I live in Santa Rosa, California and if you have seen the news then you know it hasn’t been an easy couple of weeks. My family is safe. My home is standing. I know many that can’t say that, it has been devastating around here so reading this book is what I needed. I needed the laughs I knew Nicole could deliver. Thank you, Nicole! Xoxo
P.S. I love all of the secondary characters including dogs. Well, except for one creeper.
Quotes:
“Maybe think about shaving that vagina off your face, Princess.”
“Shut it, Jerry,” Skip replies.
“This isn’t Facebook, Chicken. You don’t get to use that bullshit status with me.”
If you haven’t read any books in Nicole Archer’s Ad Agency series, and you love romance that have emotionally messed up characters, raunchy sex, irreverent humor and laugh out loud comedic moments courtesy of secondary characters (that may or may not have their own book soon) then it’s about time you pick one up. Field-Tripped is the third book in this series and it definitely gets its own place in the wacky world of the Shimura Advertising Agency. If you love the first two books, this one doesn’t skip in the weird interactions of a second chance romance that will drive readers nuts with laughter.
Eli and Charlie are just emotionally messed up by their too short romance 8 years ago, not too mention it took forever for Eli to make his move then! But due to a tragedy these two abruptly drifted apart along with any chance of their lives being any better. When these two reunited sparks flew, of the competitive kind. Apparently their respective Ad agencies are in competition for an outdoor account. And while their team battles it out, both Eli and Charlie battle out all their pent up emotions that never got resolved. When the dust settles can they finally have their HEA?
Field-Tripped is all fun, life and laughter, get ready for the chaos!
Archer’s third book in the hilarious Ad Agency series is what I would call a “wham, bam, thank you ma’am” whirl of fun and sexiness. While the first book in the series, Road-Tripped, was also very hilarious and sexy, it kept you hanging on the edge of your seat with the sexual tension, in a good way, and brought out a lot of emotions. Book 2, Head-Tripped, brought the emotions front and center, mixed in with the sexiness, and a sprinkle of hilariousness. As with the first two, we get the story from both of our main characters, which is something I love! You get to see both of their point of views, both of their thoughts and feelings, which makes those moments when you normally would be wondering why the heck someone was being so stupid or crazy in their decision, become more understandable, because you get just what they were thinking when they do that ridiculous behavior.
These two characters are in a second-chance romance, and it seems as if the fates have conspired to bring them back together. Both of them are stubborn and are feeling as if things that happened in the past were either their fault, or even if they believe that, they still believe the other one is the cause of why things went wrong. The drama between the two is so back and forth, hilariously so, exactly as this author is so great as doing. It’s totally an “I hate you! Kiss me!” It totally reminds me of a scene in the movie Spaceballs.
So many things about the book that I just adored! The names of Charlie’s dogs, Julius Seizure, for one! There is almost always at least one persnickety character in the stories, in this case it was Burt, one of Charlie’s godfathers I believe? His nicknames for Eli had me cracking up, Beaver Beard, so hilarious, I can’t name them all. Not to mention little Austin, who was kind of the reason for Callie ending up on the trip in book one with Walker (who is still my favorite of all the guys). I wonder how much of his character was based on the antics of the author’s own son, who we get to share in the hilarity of on Facebook. One of my all time favorite parts of book one was the Chinese menu typo, go read book one if you haven’t yet, and in this one we had the comment about the Japanese flag! Not to mention the line that I was saying out loud with the other characters in the book every time that character spoke, “Shut it, Jerry!” I could go on and on about all the amusing things in this book, but that would mean you might not need to read it, because it is pretty much all laugh out loud funny.
Probably my only negative on this one? That one of the dogs wasn’t a dachshund. 🙂 JK
Field-Tripped by Nicole Archer a five-star read that will leave you tripping. This is the third book in the Ad-Agency series but they can all be read as stand alone, all of the books are based around the Shimura Advertising agency and what a bunch of characters work there. I have loved this series, and I oved all the playlists that go along with them. If you like a little music with your reading I highly recommend you look up the playlists, they just bring an extra little zing to the read. Eli St James is someone who has popped up in the other stories and I’m glad that he gets his chance to come into his own, tell us his side of the story and what a story he comes with. It makes you understand his behaviour some more. This story is so much it could feel all on top of each other but Nicole has a refreshing way of writing that makes everything unfold and clear in the shortest time possible, so you feel so deep into the story so quickly you can’t see anything else until you have finished every page, so be prepared once you start to not come up till you are done. Eli and Charlie’s story is one that spans time and place its one filled with wit and charm and heart as well as some steam that will break the pipes. If you are looking for a funny, witty read then this is one for you, I would recommend the series as a whole if you are looking for something special.
I absolutely loved this story! The characters at the Ad Agency are getting better and better. Eli and Charlie are old pals…not they have a history . Charlie would love to move and forget but unfortunately Eli does not make that easy to happen . Thrown together by a work related competition they soon realize they may have a lot of unfinished business but it won’t be easy . You will be taken on a blast from past, emotional sweet journey before either one can consider a future !
So good !!
