His heart
Ronan had just made peace with his new life. Then his family reached for him from their exile, and he realized he couldn’t turn his back on them.
He can’t go on when his actions could doom his entire people. To help them, he’ll have to show the world why the Tuatha Dé were believed to be gods and legends–and doing so, remind Aisling and the Fianna why they had been exiled from the mortal realm on pain of death.
The fae are coming back. Are we ready for them?
Fianna’s Rising is the third book in the Warriors of Myth and Legend series. It features faeries and fae magic, family reunions, a love strong enough to withstand said reunions, and an HFN ending that will (probably) leave you needing more.

Fianna’s Rising by Ron C. Nieto is such an amzing story to read. This is book number three in this amazing series that I have loved reading it has amazing characters and story line. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about fantasy and paranormal romance.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the 3rd book in the series and it didn’t disappoint. I couldn’t put it down and you felt like you were really in their world. The author really does have a way with words, plus you can tell that she has done her research on the subject.
From the plot twists, plenty of action and relatable characters – this is a must read.
„Fianna’s Rising“, the third installment of the “Warriors of Myth and Legend” Series by Ron C. Nieto is hands down the best book in the series. The story delves into the relationship between Aisling and Ronan and what they are willing to sacrifice for each other, as well as what they are not.
Aisling has been a Fiann for over five years and has finally accepted her destiny and duty, while Ronan has eased into his new life. But unexpected events test their new founded status quo as Aisling becomes aware of an increasing number of Fae flooding into Dublin and Ronan receives a call for help from his exiled family. As both Aisling and Ronan realize that they would need each other’s help to solve the problems at hand, their relationship is tested once more, and both have to accept the consequences. With the very real possibility of the Fae coming back to the human realm, Aisling have to decide between helping Ronan or remain faithful to her training as Fiann.
The story is fast paced with the appropriate amount of action and romance, fabulous main characters, likeable and fully fleshed secondary characters, a very well-crafted fantasy world and an exciting plot.
The book is exceptionally well written in the distinctive style of Ron C. Nieto who masters the combination of Urban Fantasy elements and Celtic Mythology facts without stumbling into the pits of the usual Irish stereotypes.
I enjoyed this book more than the others, even though it’s tamer in many ways. Ronan has grown on me in this series. I’d say that he and Aisling both shine in Book 3. We get to watch them come into their own and their relationship solidify.
Ron C. Nieto has a whimsical writing style. She paints words on paper. The story’s pacing is steady, never rushed. The ending was a bit mystifying, but intriguing too. The book description states that it has a Happy-for-Now (HFN) ending, meaning that it’s not the conclusion to the story. There’s still more to come! I’m looking forward to reading how Aisling and Ronan lead the way in Book 4!
I received an ARC. This is my honest and voluntary review.
At Cross Purposes
I have been enjoying this series that artfully blends urban fantasy and Irish mythology in a smooth writing style that is easy and such a pleasure to read. I have found the complex and evolving relationship between Aisling and Ronan to be a compelling read. It only gets more complicated in this book as the fae seem to be returning to Dublin in greater numbers and Ronan’s family wants his help. Ideally, the hero and heroine should help each other, as each could offer the other their unique skills, but they may be at cross-purposes on a greater level. How will they resolve this, and what impact will it have on their relationship? This book seems a little slower than the previous ones, which I felt were ideally action-packed for the subgenres represented. Still, I enjoyed this book immensely. I absolutely adore Aisling. She is a woman who can handle herself in just about any situation and does not need to be rescued; Ronan is an enlightened male who appreciates her strength. Gotta love that! I thoroughly enjoyed this installment and look forward to the next one. I recommend this book, but I suggest that if the book interests you, you start with the first one of the series so you can understand the complexities of this world.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
