NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • MacKayla Lane and Jericho Barrons return in the epic conclusion to the pulse-pounding Fever series, where a world thrown into chaos grows more treacherous at every turn.As Mac, Barrons, Ryodan, and Jada struggle to restore control, enemies become allies, right and wrong cease to exist, and the lines between life and death, lust and love, disappear completely. Black … disappear completely. Black holes loom menacingly over Dublin, threatening to destroy the earth, yet the greatest danger is the one MacKayla Lane has unleashed from within: The Sinsar Dubh—a sentient book of unthinkable evil—has possessed her body and will stop at nothing in its insatiable quest for power.
The fate of Man and Fae rests on destroying the book and recovering the long-lost Song of Making, the sole magic that can repair the fragile fabric of the earth. But to achieve these aims, sidhe-seers, the Nine, Seelie, and Unseelie must form unlikely alliances and make heart-wrenching choices. For Barrons and Jada, this means finding the Seelie queen, who alone can wield the mysterious song, negotiating with a lethal Unseelie prince hell-bent on ruling the Fae courts, and figuring out how to destroy the Sinsar Dubh while keeping Mac alive.
This time, there’s no gain without sacrifice, no pursuit without risk, no victory without irrevocable loss. In the battle for Mac’s soul, every decision exacts a tremendous price.

I’ve waited a long while to immerse myself back into Karen Marie Moning’s Fever world. I was so excited, so much so that I began to fear I would be disappointed and it would be my own fault. No fear needed though, it was perfection! I remember feeling that the “song” and black hole elements were getting a bit redundant as the story progressed but there were so many other new and critically engaging elements that would follow so it didn’t negatively impact my enjoyment AT ALL. This series finale brought stomach-churning suspense, magical revelations, Moning’s classic humor, perspective-altering quotes, both surprising and lovely romances, and tears…yes, balling, bloodshot-eye tears. Sigh. This may be the final book in the series but the characters are far from finished. On her facebook page, Moning announced that the next book she will write will be a Dani novel. “It does not pick up where Feversong ended, but at a different time. The title is High Voltage.” No release date is set but it is tentatively expected in the early months of 2018. I can’t fecking wait!!!!!
My favorite quote:
“Things never stop going wrong. Life isn’t about waiting for peace to arrive, it’s about learning to thrive in the midst of war.”
Loved it!
Have read and own every book in this series and highly recommend. Believe these books would make a great movie series.
This series is very good and different!
I love all her books ! Her fae series have some funny moments, intense moments, and you stay up wanting not to put the book down
LOVE this series!!!
Definitely one of my favourite series ever!
love this series! Sometimes gets a little hard to keep track of all the characters, but that’s probably just me.
Awesome!
I love all of her books!
Feversong has its problems but I don’t choose to dwell on them. I’ve followed these characters for years now and they still interest and intrigue me. I’m very hopeful that someday Ms Moning brings us more on Dani’s story. It’s Mac n Jericho that fed this series but Dani has more to tell.
Really loved it!
By far, my favorite of the series. Mac is back, and has some serious ass kicking to do to get everything she wants. Barrons is more clearly drawn in this final installment, at least emotionally, and I feel like you finally get to know him. At least as much as you can get to know Barrons. It all comes together in the grand finale, with too many twists and turns to list here. Suffice it to say, this is a must read if you are a KMM fan!
I love this series so much, and it’s very sad to see a “final” book in a series you love. So, I went into the reading of Feversong with much reservation and emotion. I think I read a little slower than I normally do as well, just to extend the hours I’d have with some of my favorite characters.
In Feversong, we get a lot of different points of view. I love that. We get to see what Dani/Jada is thinking, what Mac is thinking, even what some of the other characters are thinking as well. To me, this added to the enjoyment of the story. I think I liked reading Dani/Jada the most in this one…and that’s great because I wasn’t really liking the Jada storyline much, nor her new attitude towards life. This book brought back a Dani that I loved.
The reading was not without pain and tears however…there are some losses and there is some heartbreak and I cried…a lot. But this isn’t one of those happy-go-lucky funny HEA series. This is passion and adventure and trying to save the whole world and you just can’t expect everything to go perfectly in this kind of high velocity series. People are lost, things go wrong and that makes even a paranormal book more realistic.
Fans of the series, I think, will truly appreciate how the ending was wrapped up and where it took us and left us as far as the characters go. There’s explanations as to where certain characters will find themselves upon us leaving them and that sits well with me. I like to know where they’re going and if it’s good or not…the characters have become more than characters by the time you get through a series of this magnitude. Fans will also appreciate the open ending…the fact that even though it’s an ending and that’s obvious…the potential is there for the story to go on…in our minds, in fan fiction and possibly even in spin offs or novellas if the author so chooses. A truly great writer can give us that, can give us both an ending that feels complete with the possibility of more. Moning is just such a writer. I can’t say enough great things about this wonderful series and amazing book, do yourself a favor and pick it up.
Been following this series since beginning loved every horrifying n wonderful moment wish it would never end! !!!!!!
” It was so much more than a hand he was offering: it was nights of love so consuming it burned, days of grief that chilled, a kingdom of black ice and a mansion of alabaster. It was all possible mistakes and every imaginable success.”
There are no words that can give a clear and compelling description of what a truly unique and emotional journey that Feversong is for its reader .
Each novel only gets better and each time I am left wanting more .
