I was left for dead and they saved me. Four gorgeous men who’ve vowed to keep me safe. Now their carnal magic is keeping me alive.Kari was a rising ballet star until a blown-out knee ensures she’ll never dance again, and she’s forced to rely on something she never expected—magic. She might be more used to pirouettes than potions, but she’s learning to love her new shop, her customers, and … never expected—magic. She might be more used to pirouettes than potions, but she’s learning to love her new shop, her customers, and handsome New York cop Kent.
But using magic is dangerous. Kari is attacked and left to die—a curse devouring what’s left of her. Until three gorgeous Fae appear, swearing to keep her alive even as their touch leaves her breathless and wanting.
Kari’s best chance for survival is in the Fae realm, but she might not make it. Her only choice to keep the curse at bay is the carnal magic of her Fae saviors. It flows from physical pleasure—something Kari desperately wants and they’re more than willing to provide. Their touch washes away the pain, and Kari finds herself surrendering to the bond that’s pulling them closer together.
Brae, Verys, Aeric, and Kent won’t leave her side until she’s healed, but leaving the human world didn’t mean leaving Kari’s mysterious enemies behind. They swore to keep Kari safe, but will their touch be enough to save her, and will their strength be enough to protect her from the enemy who hunts her across realms?
Fevered is the first book in a steamy, medium-burn reverse harem fantasy romance series. No choosing, no cheating. Mature readers only!

Holy S**T! I just finished this and I’m still struggling to close my mouth at that ending! The men are incredible, I love their different personalities and their backstories that bleed through as the book progresses and just when you think you’re on top of things and know where it’s going BAM, curveball! So, so good! The spice in this book is amazing, Devyn really brought the heat! Damn woman! The story is extremely compelling and gripping that I just couldn’t put the book down – I HAD to now what was going to happen to them! I love Kari’s story so far and I’m so excited for book 2!!
This book was everything. The Fae have always intrigued me and this book put a very different spin on the Fae, their courts and their way of life. Kari was instantly likable. She has been dealt a crap hand in life but has never given up. I can’t wait to see how things grow and change between her and the guys. I was unable to put this book down and I expect the next book to be more of the same. Devyn Sinclair killed it with this book!
I should start out by saying that I am completely jealous of Kari. This girl goes from having no man in her life to having three fae and one human lover in a matter of hours! Where is my Carnal Court harem? Where can I find them? Are they exclusively with magic wielding humans and fae, or can a normal human female get in on this mate action?
As I hinted at, Fevered gets really HOT very quickly, which is to be expected when you need to orgasm in order to survive. Yup that’s right folks, in order for the magic that is keeping Kari alive to work she has to have some form of physical pleasure! Why you ask, because her mates are part of the Carnal Court and therefore wield Carnal magic. Jealous?- join the club!
I would’ve liked to have seen more of an emotional bond develop between Kari and her men throughout the entire book. However nearing the end we do see that side of the relationship start to become more evident and blossom. Personally I believe that the delay in emotions had a lot to do with another special someone not having been met yet, but I’m not going to dig into that since it may give away too much!
100% would recommend this book as I absolutely loved it! Heavy on the heat, smexy times, as well as action and adventure. Cannot wait to start book two!
YOU HAVE GOT TO READ THIS STORY! It has fantastic world building. In this story there are humans, and there are some that have some magic. There are some fae that live there too, maybe they are just there for a vacation. And there is the Fae realm. There are many Kingdoms there, both good and bad, and there are many Courts in each Kingdom. There are tales on the human plane about the Fae that aren’t true, just like the tales of humans told by the Fae.
The characters are fantastic. You get to know each of the characters and how they relate to each other and they all have one common goal.
This is not the writings of an amateur writer. This is a writer that is going to shoot to the top of every book list that she sets her eyes on. I know that I will be following her and reading every book I can get my hands on. I love to read, but sometimes I come across a story that really affects me and knocks my socks of and can’t put down! (I am writing this at 4 am after a work day!) This story grabs you at the very beginning, no dull spots, and just sucks you into this new world of Fae that we haven’t been before. And of course she had to leave us with a cliffhanger so she has us hooked and panting for the next story.
Kari was a promising ballet dancer until she blew her knee out. She tried to come back but it didn’t happen. She opened a magic potion store and was fairly successful with it. At least until she created the last potion for beauty and success for a beautiful fae female. On her way to a party to support her ballet friends, she was attacked by this same fae woman. She was trying to steal her magic and life force and kill her. She was interrupted by three Fae Warriors. They were able to save her a little, being they only had a little magic this side of the Fae realm. They knew that they had to take her back to their Kingdom and have their magic healer cure her of the curse. As they were trying to feed her some magic, her friend Kent, a police man who handled magical issues, shows up and suspects that they did the damage. When they tell him that they can only cure her in their Kingdom in the Fae realm, he goes with them. Kent and Kari have been flirting back and forth for over a year and had finally, that night, decided to go on a date.
Brae, Verys, and Aeric are Fae Warriors from the The Carnal Court in the Kingdom of Pleasure. They went to the human realm for a little fun somewhere different. When they come upon Keri crumpled on the ground being drained by a female fae, they realize immediately that she is their mate. They may not want to totally accept it since finding ones mate is very rare and for three guys who were friends to find their mate at the same time was really rare, plus her being a human was unheard of. They know that they can feed her the little bit of magic they have now to stop her from dying right now, but if they get her into the Fae realm, it will help and in their Kingdom there is a really good magic healer that will be able to cure the curse, if they can get her there in time. They can’t portal her their or use any form of magical transportation without killing her, so it would take them around two weeks to get her home. They do as much as they can, but the only way to give her more magic is with passion.
You have got to read this story to find out how they dealt with Kent when someone would get near her, their trip to their Court, people they met along the way and the further attempts on her life.
