As a former Army Ranger who works for a high intelligence, private security company, I’ve seen my fair share of death, betrayal, and pain. I’ve lived them. I trust no one, only my brothers, and my best friend.I wasn’t always like that. Everything changed the day my parents died and my nation was attacked. Since then, family comes first. Work is my mistress. Nothing else matters. That is, until she matters.
That is, until she walked into my life.
Short dress, long, tanned legs, and honey eyes that make me weak.
She’s chaos.
She’s sunshine and daffodils.
She’s loud.
She’s a fighter.
She’s a dreamer.
She’s everything I hate.
Why is it so hard to walk away from her?

5 MIND-BLOWING stars! Let Harrison Everhart captivate you. This book is bookish delight.
Holy cosmos! The stars have lined up in the best moment to bless this WONDERFUL book. Claudia Burgoa’s writing is beautiful addictive. She is one of my one-click authors. She never disappoints me. It is amazing to read any of her books. Her Everhart Boys are the reason why I have high expectations for men.
Fervent blow my mind! It captivated me from the first pages. It was a pleasure reading it. I love Harrison and Luna’s story with all my heart. I enjoy it as a little girl in a candy shop. This book is bookish delight. The plot is simply divine.
“There’s nothing better than being with the people I love the most. They erase images of the smoke, the screams, the violence.”
Luna and Harrison’s story is smoothly intense. Harrison is powerful, bossy, loyal, devoted, tenacious and “quite” possessive while Luna is chaotic, disorganized, ruthless, fearless, and stronger; a free spirit. They are opposite. It is enjoyable the interaction between the characters. I find it plenty compelling.
“My new addiction is petite girls who look harmless and can kick my ass.”
Among their differences there is something that links them: the loyalty to their loved ones. Also they are protective souls. Their work is pretty similar. They have the same goal: to fight against bad people, to make the world a better place for their loved ones. I think that’s one of the reasons why they are perfect for each other.
“His heartbeats remind me that there’s hope. His strength shows me that pain can only break you for so long.”
What makes this couple more interesting is the way they gradually give way to self-imposed barriers. Luna is the one who will be more distant. She can’t deal with her feelings. Her past does not allow her to feel more, to desire a good life with a man. Sometimes superstitions make life difficult as omission and white lies (A lie is always an omission of truth)
“This man has stripped me of my armour, exposing my heart to his. Making me vulnerable to him. He doesn’t understand that he’s setting us up and risking facing the biggest heartache.”
Harrison and Luna are soul mates, a match made in the stars. Being together will be a challenge. It would be hard for Luna to expose her feelings. She is afraid of fate. Harrison will have to work really hard to win Luna’s heart.
“I need you to fill me, to fire me up like a star.”
I can’t find the right adjectives to describe how much I love this book. It is as if I was trying to describe beauty. And beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. This book has all the elements that make it perfect. I can’t wait to read the following books in the series. I need more of the Everhart Boys. I love them all.

This is equal parts fun, sassy, dangerous, intriguing, sexy and just downright entertaining.
Harrison has so much bottled up and when he meets Luna things start to click. He has bottled up his feelings about his ex and best friend and about his parents death. Suddenly this force is in his life and she helps him deal and heal.
Luna is sunshine and badass. She kicks butt and takes names but also is happy and joyful. She tries to live her life to the fullest. Wanting to prove herself to her superiors and dad, she is off on a mission. One that brings her to face her fears, fall in love and find her way to where she belongs. She does reevaluate life and her place in it. After years of having it drilled in her head about her demise, she is scared and once Harrison helps her face this fear we see a different Luna. One willing to let love and life in. Before she was living but not living.
Harrison is a great character as well. I love the dynamic with his brothers. It is sarcastic and loving. You see that they are there for one another no matter what and learning to let go as well. And seeing him with his team at work is a hoot. I love all the ribbing they do. You can see that he is lonely and wanting to have a future with someone. He just didn’t expect one with someone like Luna. He meets her because he is doing a favor for her brother. A brother I am interested to see a book on because he seems to have a story as does her brother Luke. Harrison is bowled over by the sweet and sassy Luna. She challenges him and also makes him feel and live once again. He isn’t going through the motions. He treats her as a equal and respects her. We sees her as a partner in life, love and work not as someone to stay home and do as he says. She likes that but is scared. Together they work on stopping a trafficking ring and finding her past. One that haunts her but also reveals things she wasn’t expecting.
Luna learns to love and take a chance on life. She learns that there is someone out there to love her, respect her but also take a chance on. Learns about her dad and her mom and tries to find a way to deal with it.
I love the ending and how we get I think a peek at who is next to be bowled over in love and I hope Hazel realizes what a catch she has and what she is missing only I fear she is too late because it seems she keeps hurting the one she loves with her push and pull ways.
This is a fun sassy sexy story where there is instant attraction but not instant love. The characters explore each other and learn about one another first. Luna and Harrison help one another through some difficult moments and show each other love, respect and honesty. They are there for each other when needed and never stop being the rock the other needs. The banter between them is entertaining and their relationship of intimacy is one that toasts you up and also has you smile for it is more than just in bed. Each have met their match and learns about themselves and each other while falling in love and gaining so much more than just a lover they gain a piece of each other’s heart and a partner for life that loves, respects and cherishes them and their opinions. We have danger and intrigue when it comes to the mission they are on but also entertainment there as well because of the banter. A truly wonderful story that warms the heart and entertains.
Luna Santillan is an FBI agent who is working undercover in human trafficking. She is moving to New York temporarily to try and get an “in” to a certain social circle that she believes will lead her to answers. But Luna also has another reason for wanting to go to New York but she isn’t ready to share that with anyone.
Harrison Everhart is a former Ranger who works for a high intelligence private security company with Luna’s brother, Santiago Cadero. Tiago asks Harrison to watch out for Luna while she is in New York and help her get the information she needs.
As Harrison and Luna begin to get closer and trust develops between them but will Luna tell Harrison her secret?
This was another great book in this series and another awesome brother!
I really liked Luna and some of the mystery that surrounded her past. She was determined to do certain things on her own but knew she needed an “in” once she got to New York and meeting Harrison and Hazel Beesly helped her.
Harrison was awesome and very protective of Luna right from the start. I liked how he was initially torn between his loyalty to Tiago and his attraction to Luna but it didn’t last long.
I was shocked at the information Harrison dug up and the huge twist with everything! I definitely was not expecting that at all!
I hated how Luna felt like her life was cursed and I understood why and I was definitely crossing my fingers that she could break the curse!
The update with Willow and Hunter was great!
The end was awesome and I am glad that Luna made the right choice!
Oh my the Everhart boys are back better than ever! I truly love this family.
This is the story of Harrison aka Harry as Luna calls him and the lovely Luna!
Harrison is our strong, sexy smart and tough as nails Army Ranger. He is now back and feels it is his responsibility to be the care taker of his family. He has had his share of heartbreak and is still looking for that woman that takes his breath away…..enter Luna !
Luna she is an independent woman trying to navigate her way in a mans world. She works twice as hard as her male counterparts in the FBI just to stay in pace with them. Her job is her world and she has made it her life. The last thing she needs is some big brooding man ….Harrison all up in her face being nice and what not!
When these two forces of nature meet it is electric. Let the chase begin but does the lovely Luna want to be caught and what kind of trickery will Harrison have up his sleeve to do the job!
Loved it !!

Claudia Burgoa, queen of slow burn and angst knocked it out of the park again. Fervent is thought provoking and emotional. Harrison is an ex army ranger, oldest brother and care taker of the Everhart boys. His main focus has always been on his career and family until he meets…the lovely Luna. I freaking love Luna. Her character rocks and she’s a total bad ass. She’s a strong tenacious heroine with focus and determination. Due to tragic events in their lives, both Harrison are emotionally unavailable and when they come together the passion, romance and love between them is incredible. I compare their relationship to Wonder Woman meets GI Joe. Fervent is everything I wanted and more. I’m highly anticipating reading more stories about the Everhart boys.
Fervent is the second story about the Everhart family. It kept my captivating from start to finish, and I couldn’t put it down. The characters were Harrison and Luna, they were likeable, and they had sizzling chemistry. I like how family members are in eachothers books. Their interactions only add to it. Very entertaining!
3.5 stars
Harrison, Harrison, Harrison…Honey, you have no idea what you are getting into.
I think Harrison is the big brother we all want but few get. The Everharts are lucky they have each other. It’s an incredible family and I love watching it grow.
Fervent isn’t as emotionally intense as Flawed and that will probably make a few of you breathe out in relief but I missed the extra connection. Fervent is fun, sweet, and endearing. The tension is there and so is the chemistry but I didn’t connect the same to these characters.
I am still dying to find out Fitz’s story and see if Scott ever pulls his head out of his @ss. But now I want more…
I want to know Tiago’s full story. I need to see if Mason and Hawks have been written. I need to know it all. I look forward to more.

My Review:
Fervent had a fast-paced and eventful storyline with an active and well-crafted plot. The characters of Luna and Harrison were enticing and alluring, although I didn’t fully appreciate Luna initially, as she was a bit kooky. Luna was a well-trained and intelligent FBI agent who checked her horoscope on three different apps every day and planned her approach to the day around the predictions. She also held some odd superstitions and a belief her life would be short due to the lines on her palm and the unfortunate history of her maternal line. She was also fierce, stubborn, feisty, and a kick-ass chick, and I do gravitate to a strong kick-ass heroine. Presented with a dual POV, Ms. Burgoa’s writing was well-balanced between cleverly amusing and heart-squeezing; she has certainly mastered the feels and emotive storytelling. While the characters experienced an obsessive and magnetic pull toward each other, their romantic encounters were limited to epic kissing sessions until the very end of the book, although, before recommending to sensitive readers, be aware that Harrison, while often the source of comic relief, had a filthy mouth and frequently peppered his speech with obscenities. I absolutely adored him.
Claudia has done it again. Like all of her other books ahe has made me fall in love with another family. I cannot wait to read more of this series. My review may not be long but when a book is great you just say that and this book was GREAT. I have read just about all of Mrs. Burgoa books and each one brings forth greatness on some form and this one is no different so check it out.
I’m torn on how to rate this book… Did I enjoy it? Yes Did it pull at my heart strings? Not Really, I did cry at one part but that was it…no where near as much as the first book had me crying. Was I happy with the ending? Not really and right there is my issue. I was hoping for more from the ending especially with the case that Luna was working on for the FBI.
I loved Luna, she was a strong female character that didn’t let the men in her life take control over her, she wanted to work in law enforcement and they were not going to stand in her way, not even her boss at the FBI was going to derail Luna from achieving her goals in life. I laughed every time her grandmother asked when she was going to find a nice guy, get married, and have babies..she did not want her granddaughter in danger everyday, she wanted her safe at home taking care of the next generation…that may be in Luna’s life long plans but not right now, now there was only two things she wanted, 1) To find the scum that is the head of a sex trafficking ring and put him away, and 2) Find out more about her mothers death.
Harrison is the eldest of the Everhart brothers, we’ve met him and the Everhart clan in Flawed which was Hunter’s story. Each of the Everhart boys took their parents death to heart but each of them had a different reaction to it, Hunter went into hiding which we learned all about in Flawed and it totally broke my heart, Harrison joined the Army to hopefully get the people behind the events of 09-11-01. Being a New Yorker and having family and friends that not only work in NYC but were at the twin towers when they were attacked I can say honestly that it was an excruciatingly painful and heartbreaking day and with each of these books it has brought back memories of what we all went through on that faithful day. I will admit that I sobbed uncontrollably while reading about Harrison and Luna’s trip to the memorial site. It totally broke my heart. Ok, I need to regroup for a minute because even thinking about it brings tears to my eyes.
While Flawed and Fervent have not been listed as a series, yet, I will say that I am glad that I read Flawed first because of certain events that happen in this story that will be spoilers if you haven’t read them in order. I am enjoying the Everhart brothers and I look forward to seeing who gets their story next.
**I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this book**
I enjoyed this book and the characters a lot. Harrison and Luna are so perfect for each other and I love that they’re different but also the same in so many ways. I absolutely loved the moments between them. The anticipation, chemistry and the love between them was undeniable and the steamy scenes were so worth it. I loved them. The story started off a little slow for me but once I got into it, there was no stopping me. I finished the book in one sitting and I enjoyed it until the very end. I can’t wait to see where the next story goes and to get more of these characters. I definitely look forward to reading more books from this author.
What a delightful surprise this book was! I thought I was prepared, with my box of tissues handy, like I usually do before I start one of Ms. Burgoas books. Harrison and Luna’s story was much lighter, but just as thrilling, heartwarming, and passionate. It was everything I want my romance stories to be. Luna is a real conundrum. She is smart, fearless and tough, but then she is also sweet, sunshine and superstitious. She is a sexy puzzle that draws Harrison in right from their first hilarious meeting. Lunas brother, Tiago, has asked Harrison to watch over Luna while she is in New York, making her off limits. It isn’t hard since he has kept his distance from relationships after losing his parents in the Twin Towers tragedy. He is only close to his brothers and best friend, Hazel. Their tight knit group is supportive, hilarious, and essential. When Luna easily assimilates into the fold, Harrison is helpless against his growing feelings. Harrison is a huge surprise to Luna as well. He is charming, sweet, and attentive. He supports her decisions, and their chemistry is explosive. I love them together! There are reasons for her visit to New York that develop in surprising ways and along with a few twists and turns, this journey is exhilarating. It is fun catching up with the Everhart family along with the badass men in the security agency where Harrison works. This is such a fun, refreshing story that took me by surprise, when Ms Burgoa usually wrings every emotion out of us, along with several tissues. But it is a wonderful story in it’s own rights. The storyline is intriguing with strong characters, little angst, enough mystery and drama to keep me turning the pages and the perfect amount of romance to make me swoon. The Everhart family and friends are amazing and endearing and I can’t wait to read more about all of them!
