“Original. Fresh. Hilarious. Pure Genius. Can 13 authors pull off one seamless and epic love story? With no script or outline? The answer is confidently YES! #PoundHudson #BestHashtagsever” The Rock Stars of Romance
“Felony Ever After was a hell on wheels taxi ride with lots of hot sex, some crazy funny tweets, a hero to swoon over, some mystery and a bit of ridiculousness. There was a bit of everything in this light-hearted, steamy funny romp that took us in some very whacky directions! We really enjoyed this crazy-arsed ride!” Totally Booked Blog
“I was impressed with this book. Each author paid meticulous attention to the characters personalities as they developed. They added multiple layers to each character that stayed in sync with the other authors contributions. As for what each author added in their chapters kept the story moving, taking surprising turns, yet stayed cohesive to the over all theme in the book.” Smut Book Junkie
“Felony Ever After is like the Ocean`s Eleven of the books! 13 amazing authors joined forces to write one helluva book! FEA is funny, sexy and drama free. Don’t be mistaken thinking this novel is an anthology, it is one only story written by all these incredibly talented authors. Even though I could notice the difference between their writing styles, there was fluidity in the story. The plot always made sense and every author added their own touch to the story that made it more and more interesting within every new chapter! It was really awesome!” Collector of Book Boyfriends
“This book is a true caper that will have you laughing until you cry. I totally loved what each author brought to the story and these characters. ** spoiler alert ** This book is pure fluffy awesomeness! I loved it! Verity and Hudson were funny and so hot together. I loved how they bickered with each other and the tweeting was hilarious. It is an HEA but I wanted more. I wish they had added an extra epilogue or something that showed them 10 years from the end married and with kids. I would have also loved to have had his Dad in there somewhere. I loved the Star Wars toys with the notes it was one of the best parts of the story.
Fast paced very entertaining book. Multiple authors traded off the writing chapter by chapter. Transitions were seamless. Great continuity.
“Sometimes white knights have tattoos, princess”
I signed up for an ARC before the blurb was released. I just knew I had to get my hands on this unique secret project. I had seen a couple of my favorite authors posting things about it and I just knew this book would be awesome. I was not wrong!!
“Don’t put words in my mouth. Would you prefer something else?”
I will keep it general because I want you to go in blind and be surprised about the turn of events. I was expecting this story to go another route than it did. I just loved the way Verity and Hudson met, it was original and very funny. After the Taxi incident Verity doesn’t know what to think of Hudson but she can’t get him out of her mind.
I was laughing out loud a lot while I was reading this book. There were so many hilarious situations in which Verity got herself caught up in. Hudson was great and such a charmer. He was very mysterious and keeps us just like he did Verity guessing. He has a couple of surprises up his sleeves, very sexy ones! Don’t make me forget about Verity’s boss, you will be so creeped out by him.
“You’re a total criminal, aren’t you? Have I stolen your heart yet?”
I found Felony Ever After to be so refreshing to read. It was a pretty light and funny book with sexy scenes. The 13 authors did an amazing job in making the story flow really well. The only thing that was missing was Hudson’s POV, I would’ve loved to read what he was thinking. However the authors did find a way for some of Hudson’s thought to come across in an unconventional way.
“I swear you’re determined to give me a Felony Ever After.”
This story had so many great parts to it. I’m still giggling over Humpers of Pumpers. I loved that if you didn’t say that there were 13 different authors working on it, you would never know. Every chapter just flowed seamlessly. This whole book was just a big ball of fun. Verity and Hudson are my new favorite couple. The tweets back and forth are great! I totally followed them on twitter.
“Glitter was the herpes of crafting.” Hahaha!! I highlighted the crap outta this book! I’m buying the paperback of this!
The book is sooooo Funny. Had me smiling, laughing all over !
It’s a risky business writing Domino anthology . But put 13 of the best authors together and it seems like a piece of cake
The story is about Verity Michele who works in Sales Exportt , under Larold Lay.
This guy is a piece if work. He’s kinky and weird
Dude’s got issues, This guy’s issues have issues !
He has packages delivered to him daily and the Bike Messenger is none other than the Hooded Hunk – Tattoo aka Hudson Finn.
she’d met him when they shared a cab together and he hijacked the cab And her senses one day .
She can’t stop thinking about him #PoundHudson style !!
But she’s scared he’s a Felon, cause he’s Tatted . And oh My goodness pierced …there …down below!!!
The story is very easy, very very funny, chapters flow seemlessly.
Pardon me for being a huge Helena fan so I’m kinda biased but she DOES write some of the bestest lines
The position hiked his pants up, creating a moose knuckle at his crotch
She opened it and set the girls free. They were like homing devices for Hudson’s hands.
Bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha……
Nina Bocci —> Maybe it’s the cock talking, but I think my common sense got knocked out of place. Or maybe into place? #PoundSense #NewWomanNewPerspective
Leisa Reyvan —> Happiness is being happy with who you are. Then you find the other half of your heart as a reward #RewardIsAlsoSex
And did I mention this book got my panties twisted and wet
yeah like –> Betty-Crocker-Super-Moist-cake ready WET (
I have to say I was a little gunshy about this book. I love Helena Hunting & Debra Anastasia, I have all their books, but I haven’t read much from the other authors (yet) and wasn’t sure what to except. I have done a few exercises like this over the years and they are always hit or miss. But let me just say that this is a big HIT. The characters are amazing, the chapters are seamless.
I loved everything from their quirky adventures to the seriously craziness that happens.
Fun read, it was really awesome seeing so many of my favorite authors come together to write one book and it actually flowed so well.
I fell completely in love with Hudson and his sweet, caring nature (despite his bad boy look). I loved that Verity couldn’t resist him (neither could I, honey) and his charm.
This book was one I couldn’t put down. The authors brought this book together seamlessly and I enjoyed every bit of it.
Kudos to all of the authors!! This is a great book. If you haven’t read it yet, what are you waiting for?!
Audio review from 2018
I highly recommend this book! It started off slow and simple and ramped up to laugh out loud fun within the first hour!
Verity Michaels is new to New York City, but even she knows riding in a stolen cab is not a normal way to meet someone. Now the tattoo-covered would-be felon who stole it is everywhere now, and lighting everything (under her skirt ) on fire.
His name is Hudson Fenn, and he’s frustratingly impossible to pin down. He works as a bike messenger, but has the manners of a prince—along with a strange tendency toward breaking and entering. As much as Verity knows he’s not her type, and likely to land her in jail, she can’t help but find her truest self when they’re together.
Can she be brave enough to give Hudson a real chance? Will he be bold enough to reveal the man beneath the ink, or will his secrecy doom their connection? Also, WTF is the deal with Verity’s boss? No less than thirteen of your favorite romance writers have teamed up to tell this sexy, wacky, snort-inducing tale. With them you’ll visit the world’s most irritating office, a VIP room of questionable cleanliness, and the fanciest apartment a bike messenger has ever inhabited, but you’ll still never see this ending coming.
Felony Ever After is a collaboration and I was skeptical this could work. Thirteen authors writing one story? There’s no way it can flow and the characters won’t be consistent, I insisted but I’m please to report I was completely wrong. This book is a fun love story about two characters who are easy to like. There’s plot beyond the love story but it definitely takes a backseat to the romance and that’s fine, it works perfectly here.
The subplot with Verity’s crazy perv boss is different but intriguing and you’ll find yourself anxious to see the creep suffer. Hudson’s rather secretive and that leads to lots of tension but once Verity explains why secrets make her nervous, he opens up. That’s a nice change because so often we see him insist it’s not the right time and he’ll tell her later, only for her to discover his secret some other way, leading to a meltdown and breakup. That’s the plot of so many romances, so a book that takes this in another direction is a breath of fresh air.
One thing I really like about Verity and Hudson is that they struggle with communication in a realistic way. It drives me crazy when the whole plot is built on some stupid misunderstanding but the characters – for whatever reason and never a good one – simply don’t have any meaningful conversation at all, but suddenly the problem is solved and then they can profess their undying love. To the same person they were unable to have a shallow discussion with yesterday.
Hudson and Verity don’t just communicate well, a lot of their exchanges are funny, too. Humor is something a lot of writers attempt but few can actually pull off and I can honestly say I laughed out loud more than once while reading. This is mostly a lighthearted story and a nice treat after something heavy or emotional.
This is the first of this kind that I have ever read, and I really enjoyed it! It was a nice introduction to some new to me authors recommended by some of my favorite authors. It was nice to get a taste of their writing styles. I envisioned them each writing a section and passing it on to the next to add to it. kind of like in a writing class. I loved that!
As for the story line, I really enjoyed it as well. I like that it was different than any I’ve read before. I could have done without airing so much personal stuff via social media, but also accept that is where we are at as a society. That being said, Hudson reading Verity’s tweets about him and her finding out about it was hilarious!
Verity is one smart sexy woman. Hudson is one complicated smart man. They make for one sexy smart compassionate loving caring couple. Could not wait to see where the story was going.
Felony Ever After was a great read by various authors. This is one story written by 13 authors; Debra Anastasia, Helena Hunting, Nina Bocci, Belle Aurora, Tijan, Katherine Stevens, K.A. Robinson, Liv Morris, Penelope Ward, Vi Keeland. Leisa Raven, S.M. Lumetta, and J.M. Dario were. Verity just moved to NYC and finds herself in a stolen cab with a tattoo covered would be felon. Hudson Fenn is a bike messenger who seems to have a tendency of breaking and entering. They can’t seem to fight their attraction. I enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait to read more by the authors.
This is a review for the audio version of Felony Ever After, which I was able to listen to for free on Audible Escape!!
You have to be prepared for something kinda zany when 13 independent romance writers get together to trade off chapters in a story. It’s pretty clear that the whole book is not written by one author, as different chapters have different personality, and the characters themselves act differently throughout the book, but that’s what makes it fun. I don’t think any of these authors were expecting this to be the next Great American Novel.
Verity and Hudson are fun characters, and have steam from the get-go. There are some other side characters who come and go throughout the story, but the focus is definitely on Verity and Hudson.
The story is completely unrealistic as both Verity and her boss would likely have gotten fired more than once from their actions, but it’s nothing too serious. The intimate scenes with Verity and Hudson are HOT, especially if you are into a guy with tattoos and piercings!!
Take a chance on this if you are looking for something kinda light, and wacky. It’s a fun ride, probably not one that I’ll listen to again, but I don’t regret the time I spent with it!
Hilarious! I’ve never screamed at a book for answers while laughing so hard!
I listened to this book on Audible and loved this story. Verity and Hudson were characters I could root for and the use of Twitter and hashtags at the end of each chapter was really fun. I thought Rose Dario did a wonderful job narrating the story and giving Verity her voice. I am astonished how perfectly the storyline flowed given that 13 different authors contributed. I’m not sure what their writing process was, but if they wrote another one, I would definitely read it.
I really enjoyed this book. It was written so well that unless you read the chapter heading to know it was a new author you won’t know. The book flowed and I loved the mystery of Hudson. What was his deal why did he keep disappearing.
Verity is pretty awesome she tried to live her dreams but it didn’t work so she sucked it up and got a job she didn’t want half way across the country in a massive city.
She works for the weirdest guy ever.
One night in a stolen cab changes her life. She knows it’s not right but she’s drawn to Hudson. Will they have a Felony Ever After??
I laughed a lot in this book it’s a cute story it’s short I wish it was longer but other than that it was really good.
I was drawn to the book from the primary / first author Helena Hunting. I have enjoyed her previous works in the past, but I will say that with the numerous authors, I was not as happy with the storyline. I felt like there were differences in the writing styles that prevented me from getting overly attached and the “plot twister” was not what I was used to with HH previous works. I did rate this 3 of 5 starts because there were several aspects that I did like the book, but I this I was over excited and it did not deliver
[I read about 5-15 books a month through kindle, and I listen to about 15-30 books monthly] I have a happy life to which I am grateful, but I love to read to escape and live a thousand lives by turning a page in others books.
Thank you for the opportunity to provide a review. Happy reading 🙂
Loved Verity and Hudson and how so many authors could bring to life two characters! The writing was seamless as was the storyline. I loved this book!
This book was funny, sweet, and romantic. Written by thirteen authors, each chapter a different author. The storyline gelled really well. It was fun to see how each other continued the storyline. I loved the connection between Verity and Hudson. They had sizzling chemistry and witty banter. The sweet moments had all the feels. Some chapters the story took a turn in a zany direction for me, yet it didn’t deter from the love story. If you want a light-hearted, funny read that’s also romantic and sweet, this book is one you want to read.
