Book Description: “A bake-off for senior citizens is being held at the inn, and baker Lottie Lemon has arrived as one of the judges. But when someone turns up dead, accompanied by a mysterious riddle, both Lottie and I are determined to find the killer. But as the riddles grow more sinister, and other threats begin to manifest, it’s clear someone has a bone to pick with both Lottie and me. Our very lives are in danger, proving that this case might just be too big for the both of us.”
Lottie Lemon, a baker from Vermont visits Bizzy’s inn as a judge for the upcoming bake-off. Accompanying the baker is her entourage consisting of her mother, and ugh… three other people. Whoops, I almost gave away a spoiler! Also included in Lottie’s entourage are her feline fur-babies, Pancake and Waffles. Two sweet, fluffy Himalayan cats with silver-blue eyes and long creamy yellow fur that takes over their whole bodies. Bizzy and Lottie have more than a few things in common, the least of which being they both consider themselves to be amateur sleuths. I can’t really go into the other things without sharing spoilers and that is something I try extremely hard not to do.
The competition is just getting underway when one of the sponsors falls dead to the ground at the judge’s table after eating one of Lottie’s confections. Professional and amateur sleuths are everywhere in this story. Investigators, or should I say investigations, are running amuck! These authors really know how to take you on a wild ride.
I do not like reviews which include spoilers, so, I hope you won’t find any here. What I will say is that this story was an entertaining, clean, fun, and easy read. Much of the story is very weird… but in a good way. If you enjoy reading stories created by extremely imaginative authors, then you will think you have hit gold with this book. Well for that matter, the whole series. Thinking in baker’s terms… compare this book to a favorite recipe combining the following ingredients: murder, mystery, romance, drama, and comedy. Of course, the fur-babies are the icing on the top.
Recipe included: Country Cottage Café Pecan Maple Shortbread Cookies & Lottie Lemon’s Maple White Chocolate Chunk Cookies
I thought the first five books in the series were charming and enjoyable reads (albeit a little wacky) and was awaiting the next release – wow, was I ever disappointed in this one! This book is a hot mess – absolutely chaotic. There were too many characters to keep track of (some sort of crossover??), one of which had a husband and a boyfriend (huh??). Then there’s the over-sexed sister (enough already). And that special rare ability of Bizzy’s? Well, it seems as if everyone has that same ability in this story – so much for uniqueness. I think there was a mystery in the book somewhere, but it’s hard to find with all that’s going on. Will try the next one in hopes this was a one-off – if not, then it’s over with this series for me.
If you love the Murder in the Mix series and the Country Cottage Inn series, you will love this crossover. Bizzy Baker and her fiance detective Jasper, have two murders to solve this time. Luckily Lottie is there. Along with her husband Judge Everett, boyfriend detective Noah, and her cats, Pancake and Waffles. With Lottie ‘s ability to see ghosts, and Bizzy ‘s ability to read minds they just might be able to solve these crimes.
Another great read. Loved this one from the start to the finished and to have Lottie and the gang visit Bizzy and all of her family and friends could not have made this book any better than it was.
Of course, there was a murder during Lottie and the gangs stay and Lottie and Bizzy decided to band together to find the murder. I mean how could they ever go wrong. They both solve murders on their own all the time. With the two of them, things should happen that much faster.
You will love this book as much as I did.

If you are looking for one helluva crossover, this is it!! If you love Bizzy, you will LOVE when she meets Lottie!! And if YOU haven’t met Lottie, now is the perfect time!! Treat yourself and fall in love with both of these stunning ladies!!!
Let the Bodies Hit the Floor!!
This is the crossover book I’ve been waiting for! If you love the Murder in the Mix series and the Country Cottage Inn series as much as I do you will LOVE this mashup of the two. If you have not read them yet, this is the time to start. Bizzy Baker has not one but TWO murders to solve this time. Luckily Lottie Lemon and her crew (cats included)have decided to visit the Country Cottage Inn on the very same day. Between Bizzy and her mind reading along side her cop fiance Jasper and Lottie who sees and speaks to the deas alongside (or sanwhiched inbetween)her hot detective boyfriend Noah and sexy judge husband Everett they are bound to be able to solve these crimes. This book was such an enjoyable read. I can not wait for Bizzy to get to visit Lottie in Honey Hallow next time!
What could possibly be better than an inn keeper who reads minds, a handsome detective, a spunky dog who loves bacon, and a feisty kitty? When Cider Cove gives us all that plus our favorite Baker and her detective and Judge all under one cover!!!
This Country Cottage Inn/ Murder in the Mix was the best of both worlds in one. When things at the Senior bake off heat up more than expected, it’s only right that Bizzy and Lottie team up to catch a murder. Full of antics, mystery, and completely laugh out loud moments, I couldn’t put it down.
I can not wait till this crew reunites again, I’m sure it will be another great adventure.
Amazing… Phenomenal… Epic… Words to describe this crossover book between the Murder in the Mix series and the Country Cottage Mysteries series. Lottie and Bizzy are taking over the same town and… WOW, what an amazing ride. Separately, they are amazing stories. Together, though, they reach Epic status. I’ve loved both characters since book 1 of each series, but now I know they are cemented in my heart as favorites. Well done to the authors, Bellamy Bloom and Addison Moore. I can’t wait to read whatever comes next.
I have been anxiously waiting for this crossover and it was well worth the wait! Lottie and Bizzy working together solving whodunnits was an amazing read! Teaming up was the best idea ever. Plus with the help of the three men in their lives was the icing on the cake!
Lottie comes to Cider Cove and brings the Honey Hollow crew with her and it is fantastic. I have to say Georgie and Carlotta has me in stitches the whole dang book! I think this one was my favorite by far!

This book is a crossover of the Murder in the Mix and the Cozy Cottage Mysteries series, and it is so much fun. To have not one, but two leads with supernatural communications skills on the hunt to solve a murder is so much fun. Seeing Lottie interact with Bizzy was a hoot.
This was an amazing storyline, crossover where Cider Cove meets Honey Hollow, or Bizzy Baker meets Lottie Lemon. When you combine these two strong women, their friends, family ,furry friends, and a few ghostly specters, they will stop at nothing to solve murder. Will combining forces help them or hinder their abilities? Read this book to find out! Addison Moore and Bellamy Bloom have knocked these two series (Country Cottage Mysteries and Murder in the Mix) out of the park with this one!
I’d fe-line if I said this book wasn’t so good it’s a fatality. Corny I know, but one thing that isn’t corny is this book! As a long time reader of the Honey Hollow series, seeing it combine with Cider Cove and it is nothing short of magical! These two came together better than I could have imagined and this definitely is a must read!
This story takes place at the Country Cottage Inn in Cider Cove, ME where Bizzy Baker manages the Inn. Lottie Lemon, a baker from the Honey Hollow Murder in the Mix series arrives at the Inn to be a judge for the Senior Bakeoff. Lottie sees a female ghost walk through the wall and Bizzy reads her thoughts. Bizzy thinks that maybe Lottie is a little nuts but realizes shortly after that Lottie is transmundane like her. Bizzy can read thoughts of people and animals while Lottie can see and talk to ghosts, whether they are people or animals. The two of them have a murder to solve with puzzling clues and help from a ghost who was a former teacher and a ghostly pig, Stella. Looking forward to the next book already!
