How to be a Firehouse Cat:1. Wake up naked in a fireman’s bed2. Stare at equally naked firemen3. Find the local witches4. Get lots of fuss and attention5. Don’t let them figure out you’re the catAnd oh, yeah, find the person responsible for your curse and killing your parents. Before they find you.No pressure.I’ve searched for proof that witches exist all my adult life. When I finally get a lead … exist all my adult life. When I finally get a lead and position myself to prove the paranormal world is real and right under our noses, enter three gorgeous firemen to derail my investigation.
If I didn’t know better, I’d think they were purposefully trying to keep me from discovering the world of the witches, vampires, and shifters.
As if I could ever believe it didn’t exist. I’m a cat, for whisker’s sake.
– Feline the Heat is book one of the Firehouse Witches Series, a medium-burn paranormal reverse harem with a side of laughter and plenty of heat (and it’s not just coming from the fire!)

Laura Greenwood has become my one-click author when I need something a little more lightweight that just lets me float into a story. That being said, ‘Feline the Heat’ is book one in her “Firehouse Feline” series and it’s fast-paced, exciting, and just a fun fantasy. The blurb does say it’s a reverse harem but there isn’t much romance in this first book but I could definitely see their attraction to each other. The twist? Callie is a witch, who when stressed, turns into a cat and will them manifest herself back to human, usually in one of the firemen’s bed. There’s a bit of miscommunication on everyone’s part, which is a little frustrating, but that’s what gives the story its angst, I guess. It seems to me each of the characters has a secret their keeping so I’m sure, somewhere along the way, we’ll find out what’s going on and if there is actually a war coming.
Great first book. Love how she changes into a cat and when she changes back its in a firemans bed. Hey who would not like to wake up in a hunky firemans bed. It is a funny read.

I loved this work. The main female character was fantastic and had a sassyness to her that I absolutely loved, the wit she doles out to the men is great. The multiple points of view helps gain insight into the views and feelings of the male characters too. The plot was great and has me eager to jump into the next book to see what happens next.
Five out of five stars.

OH BOY! This is a really good book. It is part of a series. Aella has a curse. She turns into a cat unwillingly anytime she gets scared. This is her story. She is hunting down where she came from and magical beings in order to remove her curse. She finds so much more than that when she moves in next door to the firehouse in town. I enjoyed the book and would recommend it.

I loved it. It was hilarious to think of someone shifting into a cat, sneaking into a firehouse and then falling asleep on one of the “hunky” fireman’s bed only to wake up butt naked. Can’t wait to read book 2. Great characters and story line.

What a story! It is packed with mystery, suspense, drama and action. It has moments of laughter and moments that the mystery just deepens. It drew me in and had me glued to it. I love Callie and her cat. They are hilarious and at the same time you know that she has so much strength in her. The guys are fabulous as their personalities are stunning. They add such an amazing element to the story. Yes,it does end in a cliffhanger but boy is it amazing. I can’t wait to see what happens next. This definitely a must read.
Fun and funny fast paced read. It is filled with twist and turns. This is a great introduction to Callie’s story. This is lighthearted read!
I remember reading the first chapter of this book in the advent calendar I got in December. I also remember that the ending of that first chapter made me a little unsure if this was a book for me, even though the rest of the first chapter was amazing. However, for a limited time this book was free on Amazon so now I had nothing to lose anymore, right?
And damn! I really regret not picking this book up sooner! The ending of the first chapter gave me an indication of the direction it would take, and I wasn’t sure if I’d like that, but I was so wrong! This book took a totally different turn and this was a turn I was so into! I hope that I can catch up with the other two books before the last book in the series comes out so I can read it on release day.
Because I really love this plot and where it’s going. The plot is paced perfectly. It starts with a very amazing scene that immediately sucks you in, then it gives us a little time to breath and get to know the other characters and then slowly more and more pieces of the puzzles are given out, leading eventually to an amazing and exciting finale that moved me to the edge of my seat and then came the epilogue that really left me craving more.
I also really liked the characters. I wouldn’t call it love at first sight with the guys, I think I need to get to know them a little better for that, but I love the multiple point of views and the fact that we know more than the characters in this story do. Being in the heads of all the characters not only helps me to understand the world better, but it also helps me to form a bond with the characters, even though it goes slowly.
I’m at least already looking forward to next week, when I’ll pick up the next book in this series!
OMG this book was so freaking good. I think I laughed through most of it. I so could not put this book down once I started it. Great job too the authors. Keep up the great writing ladies.
I loved this book, waking up naked with a fireman just made me laugh out loud. It’s a lovely story, and the boys are likeable. The main character is quirky with her quest to get answers about the ‘unknown’ and solve her own mystery. I’m really looking forward to the next book.
Witches, vampires and shifters! Oh my! This looks great!
” Feline the Heat- The Firehouse Feline Book 1)” by Laura Greenwood is a tale of one Woman/Feline named Callie ….who once was just a Woman …before she was cursed by a witch …and in addition to finding a way to reverse this curse…Callie is in a mission to discover who killed her parents…and her investigation lead her to Blackwater Falls…a hotbed of paranormal activity…and she just happens to move right next door to a firehouse…occupied by three HOT firemen….James, Hank, and Will…and as a result ..not only is Callie’s Feline persona cozying up to the HEAT imitating from the firehouse HOT HUNKS…Callie herself is feeling the Heat…or is she IN Heat….Hmmmm….Read and see. Too much fun!
Ooooh, now this one happened to hit me in just the right way. I mean, naked firemen? Who don’t notice you ogling because you’ve shapeshifted into a cat? Ha! And best of all, because your changing into a cat is part of a curse, they don’t even notice that you’re a shifter!
This was extremely fun, funny, with definite laugh-out-loud moments, but also with a bit of seriousness. And of course, Callie wanting to find out the source of her curse and if someone can fix it is most definitely going to get her into trouble, whether she’s in cat or human form. Let alone the firemen who have taken a very definite liking to her, in both forms!
With an interesting little mini cliffhanger, this is definitely going to be a series to follow.
Final rating: – Really liked
This was a great story and was very entertaining. Once I started I could not put it down. The chemistry between the hero and heroine is sizzling hot. I would recommend this to anyone that loves a great love story.

I totally enjoyed this book. I laughed at the cats antics. Nevermind the humans who are equally fun. They’re steamy hot and everybody have secrets. Great read.
Callie is one funny gal. She thinks she’s human and cursed because she accidentally shifts into a kitty cat when she gets scared. She’s found her way to a magical town, but has no knowledge of the supernatural world but she writes a supernatural blog that could get her killed. Fortunately she lives next door to the firehouse and meets the supernatural firemen that work there. This girl is so funny, she sticks her nose places she should never be and then scolds the firemen because they didn’t tell her. Along with that, she has a connection to the most powerful witch there. This is the beginning of her adventure and it promises to get even better! I requested an advanced reader copy from Booksprout and am under no obligation to leave this review.
Callie is a young woman, who turns into a cat when she is stressed out. The story begins with her watching a Golem kill a man. She turns into a cat and walks into the firehouse next to her house and curls up to one of the firemen. Rather embarrassed she wakes up naked – as a woman- in his bed. This is the introduction to her new neighbours….
The story is part thrilling mystery part hilarious, as she tends to curl up to the men as a cat, but wakes up again and again as a woman and the men do not know what to make of her.
The book is the first in a series, and it ends in a kind of mild cliffhanger.
It is well-written and I am sure looking forward to the next book in the series.

Like many others I think the blurb needs a review as it does not convey the uniqueness of this book, Callie’s parents have been killed and she has been cursed by persons unknown. thus leading her on a journey to find who, the why and the cure!
The curse leaves her turning into a pussy cat, with no control on when the shift will happen either way!
She finds herself in a city of paranormals, and her life in danger, coupled with the fact her feline self seems to prefer sleeping in the firehouse with the sexy firemen within (who can blame her, if I had a choice like that….
There is a great humor to this book, the overview does not convey the true nature of this book, you do not get a sense of the humor in this book, it is fast paced, and it is really funny and very hot!
I enjoyed reading the book I loved getting to know Callie and her 3 protector Will, James and Hank. It certainly leaves you wanting more!
