I’m not to proud to admit that finding Mr. Right involves swiping right. Right? Welcome to dating in avocado toastland. Here I am, on my first blind date, ever, courtesy of a smartphone app and my two annoying best friends. So what is Chris “Fletch” Fletcher doing, walking across the room, looking at his phone like he’s pattern matching a picture to find a real person he’s never met before?Oh.Oh, … met before?
Oh.
Oh, no.
The guy I drop-kicked in seventh grade cannot be my blind date. The guy who earned me this infernal nickname.
That’s right.
Feisty.

Another funny, entertaining, wild ride from Julia Kent. Her romantic comedies are simply the best!
Fiona is the last of three friends to have her story told, following Fluffy and Perky. After her friends find their happily-ever-afters in truly amazing fashion (a mistaken porn career and a reunion with a former lover/politician that no one saw coming), Fiona finds herself on a blind date with the boy (now a man) that earned her her Fiesty moniker back in 7th grade.
Along the way, Fletch helps Fiona learn to accept herself completely and not worry so much about perception, and they make up for the hurts in the past when they were kids. Fletch truly sees Fiona, and the Julia Kent sent them on a great journey together. I love Julia Kent’s writing style. She writes real, flawed, funny characters that jump off the page. Her books always take you on a romp that has you laughing out loud and sometimes yelling at the characters, but always smiling at the end. I’ve really enjoyed this entire series.
You know how it’s like reading a book and wanting to slap the heroine only to discover that the thing that’s enojing you is the fact that she the same as you?? That’s what happened with this story for me. It hit me at about 45% that I have so much incomon with Fiona. I practly live inaide my head. The internal dialogues and her acceptenec of the energy around her was at times overwhelming. And I can’t say enough about Chris Fletcher. That man was fun and he made me happy when he started to persue her. Together they made a perfect couple.
I love these friends and their significant others. I’m excited to see how the b*&Ch sister getting her HEA because let’s be honest… I’m not sure I want to see her happy and I’m dying to see how Julia redeems her

Feisty is a standalone read but after reading Perky I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this story. This is Fiona’s “Feisty” story. I loved this one. I have loved reading about friends Mal, Persephone and Fiona but I think this one has been my favorite. The nickname Feisty really fits Fiona. She definitely is feisty and you never really know what she going to do next. Chris “Fletch” is the reason Fiona has the nickname feisty. They knew each other from when they were kids. Their paths cross again. They have a love hate relationship. There’s a lot of tension between them at first. These two are fun characters that have a great story.
This is a beautifully written tale which is Fiona “Feisty” and Chris “Fletch” ’s story. Fiona had always disliked the nickname she was given as well as the source it came from, and now he is trying to woo her to take a chance on having a relationship. This story is entertaining and humorous with unique characters, emotion and crazy shenanigans which all had me totally invested in this brilliant story throughout this addictive page turner. I highly recommend for all.
The third book in this funny, lively, well written series, features Fiona and Fletch, alongside the rest of the crew we have met along the way. Again, witty banter , friendship and the twisted path towards love, take centre stage, but Feisty also includes more serious faces than the first two books, and events which contain much drama which is heart stopping at times. Fiona’s journey to finding the core of herself and reconciling the different sides of herself, is one that challenges her and exercises her belief system. Fletch is a delight and he and Fiona are perfect for each other!
Fun, thoughtful, full of Julia Kent’s characteristic humour and wit. I loved it
As a pre-school teacher Fiona had to be ready for the unexpected and when an emotionally unstable father bursts into her classroom and with bad intentions, she became mama bear on protecting mode. An intense beginning to the story that accelerated my heart beats. Interesting how she was struggling with her feelings, her emotions and processing her interest in a man she had considered her nemesis for too long even doubting her own judgment. It led her to reconsider how her wrong perspective had made her lose significant things in her life. While she was dealing with the recent events in her life, she gave me what to think. I have not read Mallory and Perky’s stories, so I have nothing to compare to but this story I found emotional, interesting, with nice characters, funny scene, romance and passion.
Finally, we get Feisty! This character has been one of my favorites since the start of the series, and it’s nice to finally get Fiona’s HEA!
Fiona and Fletch have a long, contentious history. That Feisty nickname that she hates is all his fault. But dang if that long lived hatred doesn’t make for some intense sparks between these two! The lovely internal monologue we get to follow for Fiona is just so good, and this love story hits all the right spots.
Love this series!
Julia Kent has a huge talent for creating worlds and groups of friends that I just love and want to be a part of. This group, just like the ones from the Billionaire and Random series, is totally wild and hilarious.
Fiona shows how feisty she really is in the very first chapter when she takes down a guy trying to take one of her preschoolers. Her relationship with Fletch has been so tumultuous over the years. I love a good enemies to lovers romance because the tension is usually explosive and the banter is usually off the charts. Fiona and Chris had all that and more.
These two are my favorites of the whole series. This book totally hit me in all the feels. The emotion is balanced with laugh out loud moments. I was hooked from the beginning and never wanted it to end.
4 stars
Julia Kent takes us back to the strange lands in Perky, Mallory and Fiona’s minds in Fiesty and trust me, it’s uncharted territory up there. While Fiesty is part of a larger series, it can be read as a standalone.
Fiona despises her childhood nickname, Fiesty and the guy who gave it to her, Chris Fletcher. After actively avoiding him over the years, they’re forced back into each other’s lives when they’re both chosen for the wedding party of their closest friends. As big a nuisance as ever, it takes something traumatic in both their lives to Force Fiona to see the good man that annoying boy grew into.
The woo is strong with this one. While I did really enjoy the book, the woo woo was a little long in the tooth for me. We’d lose entire chapters to Fiona’s soul searching while the man of her dreams was right in front of her. It also irked me that she was so caught up on a nickname (that wasn’t really bad) from seventeen years ago…but childhood is traumatic so I forgave her that. As usual, the girls are completely, ridiculously adorable, especially with Perky constantly saying the most inappropriate thing at the perfect time. All in all, Fiesty is a fun, sexy read!

Feisty is hilarious, cute, sweet, and swoon worthy all in one book! I have loved getting Mal and Perky’s stories but I think Fiona’s will be my favorite! Fiona is such a badass, even though she doesn’t want to be one. Chris has so much patience. He is so sweet with Fiona while always picking at her. Fiona has a lot of self discovery to do, but when she finds herself she realizes how amazing she truly is. These two have a hilarious and sweet romance with potent sexual chemistry!
Equal Parts Romance and Comedy!!
Feisty gained her nickname early – and again when she saves her nursery school class from a gun wielding non-custodial father. When an early nemesis become a romantic prospect, the excitement continues.
An exceptional second-chance story, with riotous characters, and reluctant romance. A great series.
**I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book**
Julia Kent has written some unforgettable and unique characters with their special journey of finding love and letting go in Feisty. I have experienced some truly breathtaking moments those connected straight with my soul. This story was sweet, lovely, light, swoony and meaningful at the same time.
Feisty aka Fiona has been living her life searching constantly for a safe, clear and stable state of mind. She has done all. She has been the fierce, headstrong and sassy girl in her school life that earned her the nick name Feisty given by Fletcher, the popular jock who was literally brought down by her kicks. Now years later, she is this expert preschool teacher who has become softer and believes in all kinds of spiritual things. One traumatic attack in her school and one massive kickboxing move later, her life has become a jumbled mess of media circus, self doubt and constant inner struggle. And oddly, Fletcher is the guy who is proving to be her anchor.
I love Fiona. I love how she acts without second thought to protect her loved ones. I loved how the author took me to deep in her psyche and spiritual journey. I could feel the energy in myself. And Fletcher is just the best kind of guy. He is working as paramedical, owns a gym and is a complete goner for his sister and her kid. I mean a guy with a sexy as sin body, the most beautiful heart and protective streak is all I need in my fictional boyfriend. Fiona and Fletcher has this special chemistry. They have years of pent up animosity but they are also attracted to each other. Slow burn reached a new height in this story. It was difficult for Fiona to let go of all the bitterness and anger towards Fletcher. But the way Fletcher wooed her and took care of her and stood by her side through the tough times, she could not keep her defences up for long. The chemistry had a bit of angst, a bit of heartbreak, whole lot of electrical charge and whole lot of gooey sweetness. Of course I laughed out loud while reading all the shenanigans of Fiona and her friends. Because Julia Kent nailed that part too!
Feisty by Julia Kent was a different kind of happily ever after. It was about being strong, being free and being better in love. The romance was a perfect and brilliant combination of soft, intense and steamy!

You know a book is special when you are hooked from the very first page and Feisty does exactly that, I was drawn in and captivated by Fiona “Feisty” Gaskill and Chris “Fletch” Fletcher’s story. This book was everything I expected and so much more, this author certainly knows how to write a great RomCom and if you are looking for a book with all the feels look no further than Feisty…
Fletch and Feisty have known each other since they where kids and that’s when he gave her the nickname she has hated ever since but this nickname suits our heroine so well, she is sassy, she is strong and so smart and the witty banter she shares with her friends and Fletch had me laughing out loud. Time has moved on and this couple really deserve a second chance at love, will the timing be right this time around…..
A beautifully written love story with some entertaining hilarious moments. Julia Kent knows what her fans love and she always delivers, she gives us characters we can connect with and as her stories unfold it’s easy to feel like you are catching up with friends as you laugh at the witty banter this group share but she is also fantastic at giving us those heart stopping moments where we find ourself holding our breath and hoping that the HEA is going to happen. I loved everything about this book and I can’t wait to see what we get next from this very talented author.
Feisty: full of animation, energy, or courage; spirited; spunky; plucky. All adjectives that accurately describe Fiona. Chris Fletcher (Fletch) the high school golden boy now paramedic has been Fiona’s nemesis since the 7th grade. Now when they are in proximity of one another the air crackles and the attraction is strong. Truths will be revealed that will change perceptions. What if your “one” has been right in front of you all along.
I have been following this series since Fluffy and the stories just keep getting better and better. The characters are so real and after 2 previous stories, this book was more fun to read, like being amidst a bunch of friends.
The situations are hysterical and realistic. The banter is “on point”. If you are looking for a fun, funny read then look no further. I laughed and swooned alternately throughout.
Julia Kent sure knows how to write RomCom!!!. Lana~White Hot Reads
Fiona and Chris, aka Feisty and Fletch have history stemming from seventh grade. These two have liked and hated each other for that long. The banter and humor between them is awesome and they have this natural pull towards each other. This is another must read in this series.
This book was so sweet! If you read the previous books, then you know how much Fiona hated Fletcher for giving her the nickname Fiesty but I loved hearing Fletchers side of the story and his feelings over the years. I loved Fiona’s mental struggle of finding herself and especially seeing her merge her previous self with the person she wants to become. It was motivating and a great way to look at tragedy! I loved Fiona and Fletcher together throughout the book and how he knows her so well and knows what she needs even though they havent been the closest over the years. Also, seeing Mallory and Perky’s relationships grow and get stronger was amazing!
OMG, I loved this book. Feisty, Fiona Gaskill is the third female of the trio, and she and Fletch, Chris Fletcher have been enemies since the 7th grade. They’ve been thrown together over the past few months as Will and Mallory organize and plan their nuptials.
An incident at Fiona’s day care center (also featured in Perky) brings Chris into Fiona’s world full force.
I loved the chemistry, energy, and sexual innuendos and tension between these two characters. There are laugh out loud moments and moments where I’m wiping the tears from my face. I thought Will and Mallory would always be ,y favorite characters, but Feisty and Fletch are the ones for me. Two senses it use, yet fierce characters joining together and finding their happiness.
I highly recommend this book, the entire series will have you experience all the emotions and feels.
Book 3 in the Do-Over Series and although it can be read as a standalone, it is so much better when you know the other characters stories (or is it just me who has to know everything about everyone?!?! )
Anyway, Fiona and Fletch’s story is a cute one with a lot of the Kent humour! They grew up in the same town but when she was 12, Fletch tries to kiss her but she ain’t having it so she floors him (go Fi!) This leads to her getting the nickname Feisty which she hates!
Right up until the day some serious drama happens, Fiona has pretty much ignored Fletch’s existence! But circumstances bring them around each other again, and although she’s a lot more spiritual now and is all about peace within oneself and grounding and vibrations , can she get past blaming him and being Feisty?!….
As for him…mmmmmm, Fletch you sound yummy!!! He’s a good guy with an awesome sense of humour so yeah, get over it Feisty
An enjoyable funny read.
I’ve been waiting for Fiona’s story because I tend to be alot like her. Perhaps not all ninja and perhaps not as feisty but her beliefs and how she treats herself, her life and those around her. She has carried a grudge and hate for her nickname since THAT boy tried to kiss her after she said no. Little did she realize that she carried this disdain into adulthood which didn’t allow her to see the true beauty around her and the beauty that is Fletch. Did I laugh? Of course I did because let’s face it, there isn’t much that Julia Kent writes that DOESN’T make me laugh. Did I swoon? Yeah…there is just something about Chris that makes me want to just curl up next to him and just sigh. Did I expect to cry? NOPE but alas, I really did. There are serious matters that take place, as there usually are when Julia writes a story. She’s not afraid to take parts of current events and social issues and put us in the story to FEEL something. It worked with this book. Now, we REALLY need a Hasty story.
Feisty contains laughter, friendship and ultimately a great love story, this book in the series does contain some heavy issues that are very pertinent in our headlines today.
Fiona “Feisty” works at a preschool and right at the beginning of the story an angry father shows up with a gun. While no one is seriously injured, thankfully, Chris “Fletch” appears on the scene, as one of the paramedics to the rescue. Feisty isn’t exactly happy to see Fletch again, as she dropped kicked him back in the 7th grade when he tried to kiss her. Her embarrassment over the nickname he gave her has stuck like glue ever since and she’s done a lot of avoiding him because of it.
This leads to our next heavy topic, that I believe Julia covered extremely well, the issue of when no means no at any age. It’s been years since Fiona and Chris have spent any sort of time together, mostly because she has been avoiding him like the plague, but the universe now has other plans and keeps putting them together, this finally brings them to the long overdue discussion of first an apology and second boundaries. This part is very well written and still keeps the story moving along.
Even with heavy topics throughout the book, Feisty clips along at a quick pace, the chemistry between them is strong, but it is a very slow burn.
This is the third book in the Do-Over series, but can be read as a standalone.
