I’m not to proud to admit that finding Mr. Right involves swiping right. Right? Welcome to dating in avocado toastland. Here I am, on my first blind date, ever, courtesy of a smartphone app and my two annoying best friends. So what is Chris “Fletch” Fletcher doing, walking across the room, looking at his phone like he’s pattern matching a picture to find a real person he’s never met before?Oh.Oh, … met before?
Oh.
Oh, no.
The guy I drop-kicked in seventh grade cannot be my blind date. The guy who earned me this infernal nickname.
That’s right.
Feisty.

I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
This was a great book !
Fiona has a nickname that she does not like, Feisty.
Fletcher is the one that gave that nickname to Fiona.
Although Fiona might not agree with it, but there is definitely something brewing between her and Fletcher.
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
Another wonderful and LOL funny read by Julia Kent! Feisty is a sweet, slow-burn but sexy enemies to lovers book that has laughs, emotion and the best romance! Julia Kent adds another great addition to this fabulous series!
Can’t wait to dive into this one! Loving this laugh-out-loud series!
Fun, but wonderful characters. Julia Kent has never written a bad book. It was enjoyable reading about these two as she came around to the ability to see him as others did.
I absolutely loved this book, but man-oh-man my poor emotions were on a roller coaster throughout a lot of the book. However, it’s a ride I would go on over and over again. The author wrote about a sensitive issue, (unfortunately, an issue increasingly too common) and delivered it with such class. The characters were beautifully created and I fell in love with them instantly.
A light, entertaining read. Great way to spend a rainy weekend.
Another hilarious, heartwarming, swoony book from the brilliant Julia Kent! You’re definitely gonna want to get your hands on this one!
Fiona and Chris have known each other since school. Fiona got her hated nickname (Fieisty) due to kicking Chris (Fletch) when he tried to kiss her. Now years later Fiona is on a blind date and who shows up but Chris. Chris is determined to get his chance with the woman he’s always had a crush on and could never forget. Fiona is fighting an uphill battle to protect herself. This is a funny, slow burn, second chance romance that will keep you reading until the last page.
Feisty is book in the Do-Over series. Each book can be read as a standalone but I highly reccomend you read them all! So good!
I love Feisty! This is my favorite book in the series!
I adored this book! Feisty is laugh-out-loud funny & the characters are so unique. I promise you’ll love every quirky minute of this book.
This book had a total of one scene about dating app hook-ups (which really needed some further explanation and review), so the entire promo summary is a bit out of whack. The basic story of Fiona and Fletch getting over their shared childhood experience, and a recent traumatic event, is absolutely delightful. Once they let themselves, these two fall into an easy relationship that should be the envy of many. But listening to Fiona moan over and over again about how being nicknamed Feisty ruined her life (even though it clearly didn’t), and spouting her new age gobbley-goop at every turn, was way past annoying. There were several times that I nearly put the book down because it was just alsmost too much. Still, a decent story with a (finally!) happily-ever-after, so possibly worth the effort, if you can wade through all of the rest.
You never know what’s going to happen in a Julia Kent book. If you haven’t tried her before, this is a good series to start with. Funny and completely unpredictable!
Romantic, Sweet & Witty!!
Feisty (Do-Over #3)
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this funny & romantic series so far. I didn’t enjoy ‘Fiesty’ as much as the previous two though! I found all the talk of Fiona’s energy & vibrations annoying & felt they took up too much of her story, it detracted from it overall for me!
I absolutely adored Fiona & Chris’s chemistry & later their relationship! They were actually very similar people in how they felt about life, love, caring etc She just needed to get her old prejudices out of the way to see him for who he truly was!!
It was definitely enjoyable, funny & full of some truly touching moments. It’s a good addition to the series just not it’s strongest!

I was prepared to laugh my butt off as I did with the others in this series as soon as I’d read the excerpt. I’ve always loved Feisty’s character in the story, but I see that Perky is really the one who totally cracks me up and connects all the characters in such a hilarious way. That said, Feisty, or Fiona as she prefers to be called, still had a very sweet and perfect romance in this book. It was impossible not to love Chris, or Fletch, as he was often called.
Once again the author brought all the awesome banter that makes me love her characters and stories. And not only that, but there was the part where they were staying in a cabin and they had to make a urine perimeter to keep the bears away. Gah, I’m still giggling about that! Another thing I love is how perfectly the author can write such hilarious double entendres into the banter between not only the main characters, but even the side characters and the best friends themselves.
Lots of laughing again, a very quick read, and a bit of a surprise at the end with learning of a fourth book in this series to come!
I love Julia and her amazing words. She always entertains me. This book started out a little like real life things we see on the news. Fiona, AKA, Feisty, is a preschool teacher who goes above and beyond and protects her students. She is reunited with the guy who gave her the nickname she hated. As Julia does, she weaves in humor, sparks and a fun read. I laughed out loud at the coffeeshop scene where Fiona and Fletch were waiting for their blind dates. I’d love to be in Julia’s head for an afternoon to see where she comes up with these things!
This is the third book in The Do-Over Series, a Romantic Comedy. I love this Series! The story starts with a scene breathtakingly well written, and Erin Mallon nailed it! No worries! After the first chapter, the story is less dramatic. Chris (Fletch) and Fiona (Feisty) are great characters. Fiona is a wonderful strong hero, feisty, caring and protective. Chris is handsome, protective and caring. He is an amazing brother and uncle. Their story is beautiful, fun, sexy, and heartwarming. The storyline has heartbreaking and hilarious scenes. This is a rollercoaster of emotions. The secondary characters are great, and hilarious. The ending is beautiful. Erin Mallon did an outstanding job with the narration! Bravo! I enjoyed it and I highly recommend this story and this Series.
After reading Fluffy and Perky it was a necessity to read Feisty. Fiona saddled with the nickname Feisty by a guy she maybe doesn’t hate as much as she wants to. Chris aka Fletch is a strong, caring, loving uncle who’s been carrying a torch for Fiona the girl that taught him “No” means no. After some events in her class room things spiral for them both. Amazing cast of crazy characters and complete love for little Mattie.
I’ve really enjoyed Fluffy, Perky and now Feisty. This fun funny book came along at just the right time. A true street reliever, cute characters- kids, but not too OTT.
Fiona, “Feisty” is friends with Mallory (from Fluffy) and Perky.
Fiona is a preschool teacher. She works at a co-op school. The parents are very active in contributing to the school. The class is on a baby-cam type transparency.
Early in the book, Feisty shows great courage.
I would say that this book is definitely a Rom-Com, but the beginning did have a seriously scary scene.
I love this great writing and humor. Oh my Feisty should be called Quirky. I love her originality.
First of all, let me say that Feisty’s blurb is misleading!! Everything that’s in it is actually true, BUT it does not reflect the awesome story you’ll get.
Now, any girl who can dropkick anyone is my kind of girl, so to say I was ready to absolutely love Fiona by end of the first chapter is putting it mildly. She was sweet, funny, caring and had a heart of gold along with being totally kick-ass. Unfortunately, she happened to be incredibly prejudiced against Fletch, our H which is a bit of a pet peeve for me and meant it took me some time to really like Fiona. Thankfully that started happening once she began to resolve her issues. Another thing that kept me from completely connecting with her was her… new-age-ism. I personally work at a Traditional Chinese Medicine center, so it can’t be said I’m close-minded, but Fiona’s beliefs were out there, even for me.
Don’t get me wrong, once she started to soften towards Fletch and their interactions increased, I was loving every minute of it, but I won’t lie and say it didn’t take me a bit of effort to get there.
Now Fletch… he was a dream. Granted, he did a stupid thing in his youth but he more than made up for it since then. I loved everything about him and I’m putting him in my “2020 Top-Ten-Book boyfriend List”. He was smart, hardworking, sexy AF and caring. The way he was with his nephew just melted me into a puddle of goo. Did I mention he has a gym, is a firefighter and an EMS??? Ooops, my bad. Now you know just how dreamy he truly is.
With great banter, hilarious shenanigans, two exceptionally good people and lots of sexy chemistry, I ended up loving Feisty and I enjoyed it greatly. Yes, it took me some time to get into the flow of the story, but once I did it was heaps of fun. I just wished we’ve gotten a “real” epilogue… you know, with babies and all that.

A sweetly thrilling and action packed journey filled with engaging charters, witty banter, feisty one liners, exciting twists and heartwarming self acceptance. I truly loved this adventure and this entire series. Excellent reading!
What a storyline! The beginning of this book had me on the edge of my seat! When a disgruntled parent comes to Fiona’s preschool and she becomes the hero to the entire town, she feels it’s another thing to add onto what she’s known for and can never live down. Chris has had a crush on Fiona for years, ever since she taught him the true meaning of no, and when the situation at the preschool brings him back into her life, he decides to shoot his shot with her and act on his feelings. Reluctant at first, eventually Fiona comes around and they end up learning a lot about each other in addition to a relationship together. Overall, I loved the storyline, but the action in the beginning didn’t necessarily trickle through the rest of the book. I wish there would have been more suspense or action especially after the beginning, but nonetheless I really enjoyed Chris and Fiona finding their relationship with some funny parts in the story along the way.
