I’m not to proud to admit that finding Mr. Right involves swiping right. Right? Welcome to dating in avocado toastland. Here I am, on my first blind date, ever, courtesy of a smartphone app and my two annoying best friends. So what is Chris “Fletch” Fletcher doing, walking across the room, looking at his phone like he’s pattern matching a picture to find a real person he’s never met before?Oh.Oh, … met before?
Oh.
Oh, no.
The guy I drop-kicked in seventh grade cannot be my blind date. The guy who earned me this infernal nickname.
That’s right.
Feisty.

Love this book. Fiona and Chris are the best enmities to lovers book ever.
It was a fun read. A bit repetitive in parts, but overall an enjoyable book.
Boring!
Cute book, easy read.
Julia Kent! Just haven’t had a bad experience reading any of her books. Super fun
Y’all I knew I was gonna like Feisty but im not gonna lie she drove me crazy lol. I get that Fletch made her child hood hard but come on y’all got major chemistry. I was shocked by how much Fletch wanted her and she was completely clueless. I do think that Chris tried way harder for majority of the book than Feisty did. Its overall a really cute story with lots going on.
I love this series. Julia Kent with humor and heart continues to empower women with her slightly quirky yet always enjoyable heroines. Feisty lives up to the hype. Fiona is a woman on a mission. She wants to be happy but isn’t quite sure how. Her kryptonite comes in the form a not too distant blast from her past. From insightful, to funny, to uplifting, it’s characters like the Do-Over heroines that show us that being less than perfect is perfectly okay.
Feisty (Do-Over, #3) was another great read by Julia Kent. Fiona is a school teacher who hasn’t had luck finding Mr. Right. With some pushing from her friends, she joins an online dating service. She is on a first date when she see’s Chris. She hopes that Chris isn’t her blind date especially since he is the guy she drop-kicked in seventh grade. He is also the guy who named her Feisty. I really enjoyed reading Fiona and Chris’s story and can’t wait to read more by Julia Kent.
Audiobook Review
Another great continuation to Julia Kent’s series.
Fiona and Fletch have great chemistry and banter that will have you laughing out loud. The angst and slow burn is worth it for that ending.
Recommend!

I loved this book.
The third story in the Do-Over series follows Fiona (aka Feisty). After a stressful day at work, Fiona goes on her first-ever blind date which ends up being with Chris (aka Fletch), the boy she drop-kicked in seventh grade and who is the cause of her nickname. This story follows the perspective of the heroine and is my favourite of the Do-Over books. The classic humour that you find in the other stories is in this one as well but there is also a serious aspect which may cause a trigger with the mention of a gun at a preschool. Julia Kent has done a good job with this series in showcasing how your life can change when you are in the spotlight. The good thing with this book is that the hero, Fletch is more of a focus in this story. Erin Mallon did another great job narrating.

If I could, I would go to Julia Kent’s house and kidnap her for my own. I need her crazy shenanigan infused mind as a bedtime storyteller. Think less Misery and more like the Disney version of 1001 Arabian Nights. (Okay it still sounds torturous but trust me its more innocent…perhaps Darla would understand it better!)
Let’s try this again minus the creepy.
Julia Kent makes me laugh. She makes me cry (usually from laughing so hard). She makes me fall in love- both with her characters and the wildly entertaining situations they find themselves in. Feisty (and the entirw Do Over Series) is a perfect example. Crazy and yet plausible situations that you would hope to never be the punchline in abound in this series. Add in the second chance aspect and this sucker for an HEA is already half in love.
Laugh, cry, and try not to get arrested. Also I highly advise practicing your Amazonian warrior roar in open spaces.
This is my first Julia Kent book and needless to say my first in this series and can I just ask why??? Why haven’t I come across these sooner??? How could I have missed out??
That being said you don’t have to read the first two in order to truly fall in love with Fiona and Chris and the crazy cast of characters. I will tell you that once you are done you are going to want to go back and read them because how could you not? These books are hilarious, sweet, steamy and so much more!! You will be sucked in and loving every minute of it.
Loved getting Fiona and Chris’s story from how Fiona became Feisty to now 17 years later. The push and pull, the build up, the clearing of the past and more. I couldn’t get enough and I was laughing my butt off several times in this book. Don’t miss out I’m telling you that you are going to love it!!
I listened to the audio version of this book. I am loving this series! I really love a book that has me sitting outside all by myself laughing hysterically and Feisty delivered the laughs, the giggles, the “Oh, no she didn’t”(s) and the times of wishing I’d peed before I started listening!
Fiona/Feisty was an incredible character. She was strong without knowing she was strong. She was someone who had to let go of previously formed perceptions of someone in order to adjust and let in present day reality and maybe even love.
Fletch was an amazing hero. After wanting Fiona for what seemed like all of eternity, he set about winning her over, but on her timeline. I really, really liked him, even if we did have to wait forever for the hottest part of the book. (By the way, that was totally Feisty’s fault).
I really needed some laughs right now and Julia Kent served them up with plenty of side giggles. Thank you!
Erin Mallon is one of my favorite narrators and she did an awesome job on this book. I can’t wait for the next!
I was given a complimentary copy of this audio book. All thoughts are my own.
This was such a funny rom-com with a perfect touch of emotion. It was quick, funny, and sexy. It has wonderful characters with unique personalities. Chris “Fletch” Fletcher is a sex firefighter/boxer/gym owner. He is sweet, caring, and sexy as hell! Fiona “Feisty” Gaskill is a quirky, sassy, and feisty school teacher who believes in higher powers, being centered, and the universe speaking to you. They had great chemistry. I enjoyed this book. There was not a lot of drama. Perky and Mallory and their mates make appearances. If you’ve read the other two books in the series, you know who they are. It is not necessary to read the other books in order to understand this one but they are hilarious as well and I recommend reading them just because they are really good reads. If you love rom-coms with a kickass heroine and swoony heroes, I recommend reading this book!

Just like the first two books in the series there is a fabulous balance between the serious elements and the lighter, fun side in this story. I have to say that it also grabs your attention very quickly from the very beginning and holds it all the way through the book.
Fiona, or Feisty, Gaskill is a preschool teacher who has known Chris Fletcher, aka Fletch, since the sixth grade, however, not as friends. This starts to change somewhat and this is what this story is all about.
I love how this author has used a variety of descriptive words, including emotive language, which enables you to feel as well as visualise each scene as the story unfolds, it takes you from observer to participant very quickly.
A fast paced story with loads of laughs that literally have you chuckling out loud. Bring on book four, Hasty.
The first chapter of this book had me. I knew it was going to be a bumpy ride right out of the gate. Julia Kent pulled out all the stops for Feisty’s book and it may be my favorite one yet in the series. Fiona was always the most free of all the heroines in her little circle. She radiated uniqueness and confidence. She was a powerful force. And all of those qualities came pouring out of her in a moment of true fight or flight.
I won’t call it a second-chance story line because the H and h never even really got started. More of a enemies-ish to lovers, considering the main characters were just kids when their feud started. But even after all these years, something kept them tethered together. Something kept them wondering.
Chris was the most swoon worthy hero. He had an incredibly rewarding job. He was following his dreams. He owned a gym and had the body of a greek God. He put family above all else. What was there NOT to love about him?
This book was certainly quirky and different. Feisty’s focus on her spirituality made for a unique story line, full of information I’d never thought I’d learn in a rom-com. At times it took a lot of focus to follow along, but overall it was insightful and refreshing to read something so eccentric.
The HEA won me over big time. I loved Chris’ persistence and patience. I loved Fiona’s ability to remain true to herself. This book was a solid 4/5 stars for me. And that ending!?!?! I cannot wait for Hasty’s story because I am so ready for someone to knock her down a peg or two!
I’ve been somewhat slowly making my way through this series and I have to say, although Fluffy is the funniest so far, Feisty is probably my favourite. The hate to love between Fiona and Chris was the slowest burn of the three, but I loved the push and pull the most in this one. This can be read as a standalone, but I honestly would recommend you read all the books in this series, even the little prequel novella. Not just because it enriches the story, but they’re pretty darn great.

Wow, this book starts off going 60 mph and never lets up! This third book in the series features Fiona, aka Feisty, the third in this trio of friends. As with the previous two books, the heroine and the Hero have a storied past, and this one centers around the nickname our Hero, Fletcher, used to describe Fiona back in high school. She never identified with the nickname and came to hate Fletch because people used to tease her with it. Although they live in the same town, she’d managed to maintain distance from him until something traumatic happened at the preschool where she teaches, and one of her student’s is Fletch’s nephew. Circumstances surrounding the event continually brings these two together in spite of her efforts to avoid him. P.S. Her personality definitely lives up to the nickname!
Quick-witted dialogue, LOL humor, and emotion-provoking character discussions are trademarks of wonderful author, Julia Kent! Great story!
This is such a good addition to the series, I loved it! There is just something about the story that just sucked me in and kept a hole of me. I love the way that Erin Malkin brings the characters to life, she adds so much with her narration. I really enjoy the way the characters from the other books are still a huge part of what is going on but they’re not overwhelming, if you get what I mean. So, so enjoyable and well worth the listen.
