i love this book so much has Ivy is a strong heroine, who isn’t going to let people push her around. She does have trust issues and wants to be loved.. The characters and plot are realistic and ring true. The depiction of love of family and trying to keep hope in the face of adversity is extremely well done.Ivy and Vincent both have such overwhelming obstacles to overcome for themselves and for them to learn what love and family can look like. they also have so much chemistry that is hot and that amazing toghether …this is a must read book …hurry and get this you wont regret
loved this book by clara stone. The story kept me wanting more and I cannot wait to read more by her.
This was a fantastic book! Vincent and Ivy’s characters were perfectly written. The storyline was amazing! I couldn’t put it down because I wanted to know what was going to happen next.
This book definitely had some subject matters that were different to my usual reads but but i am glad that i read this book because it is an enjoyable story that is heartfelt and touching. I liked the chemistry between the two main characters. It was a well rounded story.
I will definitely consider reading other Clara Stone books
So this was my first book in the series and by the author. I went into this not knowing what to expect and if I’m being honest, a tad bit lost. I felt like it just jumped right into the story and I had to learn who everyone was. I really felt like I should have read the other books before this one. Ivy or as Vincent called her, Ro was a gem. She’s had a rough upbringing, mostly isolated from her family and only having her sister Chloe really worry about. Oh and the laryngitis that plagued her. She has basically closed herself off. Finding out about her new family has made her confused. She doesn’t want to leave Chloe behind but also knows it’s a great chance to truly have a loving family who cares about her. A chance to be on her own and to experience life. Meeting Vincent changes her and opens her up to finally finding her voice again. These two are simply adorable together! Ivy was light in his dark world that he so desperately needed. He’s been fighting to get brothers but his mom wins every time. She’s a horrible excuse for a mother. After meeting Ivy though he starts by making a name for himself and in turn is given opportunities that opens doors for him. This book had such a sweet feel to it and I loved how hard the Lovelly clan accepted Ivy and Vincent. This family may be rich but they don’t act like it at all. They have open hearts and love helping others. They come to the rescue of those who need it. This was a great book with so much heart in it! I loved it!
Ivy always relied on her sister Chloe. Chloe is her rock and biggest supporter. When Ivy was 7 she lost my voice to chronic laryngitis. She thought that is why her dad stopped loving her. Come to find out that he was her dad. Her half brother wants to help her and eventually she does say yes. This is Ivy’s journey in finding her voice again. Vincent has had a hard life and he is paying his dues. His goal is trying to get custody of his 3 brothers away from their drug addict mother. But he has a past and road blocks are thrown at him. Ivy and Vincent have great chemistry even though they haven’t actually had a conversation when they first meet. Great read. Loved it
I really enjoyed this book. This was my first read by Clara Stone and I think she did a great job with the storyline and the characters. I loved the main characters in this book and the obstacles they overcame. Even though this is in a series, it can be read as a standalone.
This was a great read. Ivy and Vincent gave me all the feels. They had their own issues that they had individually had to deal with and then trying to be together.
A sweet standalone romance. Small Town, family first wonderfully written story.
FINDING ONE’S SELF AND TRUE LOVE
I received this book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review
A story of a person not loved enough and one with too much anger and love for everyone. Ivy, a mute due to chronic laryngitis meets Vincent, convicted of anger problems while preventing a woman from being raped, at a mall and the attraction is instant. Their lives mesh as Ivy finds her new family and meets Vincent formally. Their lives take on an adventure of healing each other and giving support when and where needed
Ivy has had a rough life and if she didn’t have her sister Chloe pushing her on she might have given up, so when a stranger shows up claiming to be her step brother Ivy wants nothing to do with it. When she meets Vincent in the mall accidentally she can’t get his dimples out of her head but when she meets him again she can’t believe it. Her sister Chloe urges her to contact her new family Ivy goes but she has no hopes, but Ivy learns to love who she knows with help from her extended family. I really enjoyed this book and the characters in it and it was nice to see people not cutting each other down.
The fifth book in the Lovelly Series a well written story that held my interest throughout. I enjoyed reading Vincent Gallo and Ivy Rose’s story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
4.5 Stars! Had me hooked from the beginning!
This is the first book that I have read by this author and it will definitely not be the last! I need to go back and start this series from the beginning!
It’s always a mixed bag when trying a new author. Writing styles and overall vision can either win you over, leave you feeling like you had to muddle through, or leave no impression at all.
I was barely into this book when I had to reach for the tissues! And shortly thereafter found myself thinking that I needed to get my hands on the previous books. That’s how engaging I found these characters, all of them, and this story!
I loved Ivy. My heart broke for her at the cruel words she had to hear. But I was glad that she had Chloe. That first meeting with Vincent had me so excited! What chemistry!
And Vincent…swoon! Absolute, utter perfection! How he cared for and fought for his brothers completely melted my heart! But how he treated Ivy…I’m still fanning myself!
So, I obviously loved this book. Why only 4.5 stars? Well, I’m all for tying everything up in a neat bow, if it works that way. But, I don’t like loose ends or lingering questions. For example, what exactly happened to Rochelle? And how were the Lovelys notified about Chloe and where was her dad? He’s her next of kin. If not for this things, this would easily be a five star read.

Finding love and belonging:
This was an enjoyable read and I appreciated the depth of emotion and the personal growth of the main characters. Vincent is an artist who’s determined to gain custody of his younger brothers. Meanwhile Ivy has just moved in with her wealthy step family that until recently she didn’t know existed and is trying to find her place in the world. I couldn’t help developing a soft spot for these two and it was lovely seeing them grow in conference and fall in love.
This was a standalone with interconnecting characters from previous books and whilst I was able to follow along, I did feel like I was playing catch-up much of the time. Some background information was missing such as how old Vincent was and the age gap between him and Ivy was never discussed. Some things were never answered and were unrealistic such as how so many different people all conveniently knew sign language. Despite all that, it was still a sweet yet satisfying read and I would happily read more books in the series.

I felt a little lost in the beginning of this book. I’m not sure it’s because I hadn’t read the rest of the series.
As the story progressed, I enjoyed the relationship Ivy and Vincent built. However, I felt like the emphasis on their developing relationship lacked a bit, overshadowed by some other things going on in their lives. While I enjoyed that too, I would have liked to see more focus on two of them.
Overall, a good read.
