This is the first story I’ve read by this author. I love it. There is such strong emotion all throughout this book. Tate who was an undercover cop was imprisoned and tortured by the guy he had been investigating. He did anything he had to for the job…anything.
Tate Williams has been a soldier and now owner of his own agency. These two grew up together but neither had the courage to let their feeling be known until after Tate was on death’s door. There is so much to this story. Clay’s caring so strong that nothing tears him away from Tate, not even Tate himself. Tate is trying to learn to deal with everything. He still has secrets he can’t face.
This story with all the twists and turns, emotional ups and downs, and a few major secondary characters made me not set it down until the end. Thank you Gay Romance Reviews for giving me a chance to find this author
I really enjoyed this emotional story of one man trying to heal from literally unspeakable experiences and the man who loves him struggling to help. I thought the author did an excellent job of showing why Clay became overprotective and why in the long run that wasn’t helpful for Tate. The necessity for therapy and the hard, hard work that involves for the one in therapy and for all those around him was well depicted. Sometimes an unconditional love isn’t enough and this book shows why – and why despite that, we have to keep caring, loving and struggling.
Feat of Clay by Susan Mac Nicol is the fourth book in the Men of London series. Steamy and sexy, the love story was full of chemistry, passion and emotion. The characters are fascinating… I wanted to know more about them and their stories. I do think I would have enjoyed it even more if I read the other books in the series instead of this 9ne as a standalone, so I recommend others to read them… I plan to go back and do that as well.
Dragons
I want to come work with the amazing duo of Clay and Tate! For one, the work day would always be filled with adventure and for two, just think of the eye candy. I envy these two with their unbreakable bond and I thoroughly enjoyed their delicious chemistry. “You once told me I was your world, your everything. Well, I need you to know I feel the same way.” Tate’s very real struggles hurt my soul but his and Clay’s faith in each other and everything they do to take care of each other was hopeful and inspiring. I loved all the people we meet in this book and hope that one in particular won’t be a stranger. I can’t wait to see what this incredible team gets up to next.
Clay Mortimer and Tate Williams have gone from being lifelong friends to lovers but Tate is struggling in the aftermath of his kidnapping and torture when he was made as an undercover cop. Clay wants to keep their relationship secret thinking that this will protect Tate. Tate hasn’t told Clay or his therapist everything that happened as he’s worried what Clay will think and his nightmares and PTSD are an ongoing battle. Can Clay and Tate move on from this and make a future for themselves.
MM, Crime, Heat, Suicide, Mental health issues,
Lots going on within their story.

Does hovering really ever protect? Tate worked as an undercover narcotics detective. When his cover was blown, he was captured, tortured for four days, shot then thrown out of a car. This is what his fellow officers knew. He carried a heavy burden of what he did not share with anyone. Clay, was devestated over Tate’s injuries and the subsequent PTSD. He unconsciously trued to bubble wrap Tate protecting him from further harm. He carried a heavy load of protective and guilty emotions behind him. They both enbarked on a journey of healing, trust and directing their guilt and insecurityies into new directions. Will Tate find his balance, his old self, his confidence? Can Clay give Tate space to reclaim himself? Will Tate be able to help others? Will they both be able to take the steps to the next level in their relationship? Excellent story. Your heart broke for these men and a few other characters in the story. Well done! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Clay and Tate took me on an emotional rollercoaster ride. They were such complex and compelling characters that I had no trouble being immediately drawn into their story. I enjoyed every minute.

My initial introduction to Clay and Tate began with the Fetish Alley Series. In order for me to have a full and comfortable picture of the Fetish Alley Series, I went in reverse and began reading the Men of London Series.
I love the fact that Clay and Tate have a lifelong friendship with one another. Maintaining that foundation from childhood to adulthood can often make relationships work. Clay has been hiding his true feelings for Tate. Much to his chagrin. However, it takes a tragedy to force acceptance of his hidden desires and admitting them to his lifelong friend. As luck would have it, the both felt the same way about one another. Too bad the HEA is so close, but so far away. In the midst of the emotional revelations are the burden of personal trauma.
Love is powerful and Clay is determined to do all within his power to protect the man he loves.
Lots of suspense, drama, lots of passion and steam. Finally, that HEA they’ve been striving for.
