DanteThe moment I saw her dancing on top of the bar, I knew I had to have her.I couldn’t look away. I’d settle for one night, but she didn’t even want to give me her number. I could tell Lily was holding back, but I wasn’t afraid of a challenge. Lily I felt the second his eyes landed on me, and I knew I’d never be the same. The cosmic pull towards him was undeniable. Dante wore me down with his … pull towards him was undeniable.
Dante wore me down with his playful Leo charm and confident smile.
He made me feel fearless… maybe it was a sign I was ready to fall again.

Loved this book. Dante and Lily are the perfect couple. Dante is struck by Lily’s beauty the first time he sees her and is determined not to let her go. They fall in love quickly, but it’s so sweet to see them in action. Both of them are worried it’s too soon, but they just know it’s fate. This was a sweet insta love story with a couple little twists and turns. A really great read.
Cute with a action
The story is tender, hot, with some twists and turns due to the heroine’s past, Lily, although it’s a shame that little is known about this, as is Dante’s issues with his club. This is all the more surprising because if Dante hadn’t been overworked with his club, he would never have met Lily.
So it’s a good story, but I would have liked more development.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
A fast paced read that’s filled with all the sweet and sultry goodness. All it takes is one look and Dante is a goner for Lily. Their connection is undeniable and so strong. Their steamy moments left me achy and needy. I could feel it in my bones, making me weak in my knees and my heart and mind swooning hard. I flipped through these pages greedy for more. This author weaves a story that captivates and quenches your every need and want. Absolute must read!
This Zodiac inspired novella series has truly been such a treat. Each month, a different author, a new book inspired by the premise that our signs influence our romantic path. Fearless to Love is the fabulous Harlow Layne’s exploration of a Leo romantic journey. Before our story begins Harlow shares she wants this to be a story that just makes you feel good- that pulls you out of the insanity of 2020 or is a nice tonic to the angsty books you’re reading. And, oh my, she delivers- this goes down like cotton candy- it’s light, sweet, and oh so tasty. A refreshing treat that is consumed quickly and leaves you with a romance sugar high.
Our story begins with Dante, frustrated and exhausted by some business proceeding and challenges with this club Flux, decides to pop into a little dive bar in a neighboring small town,Fairlane. He’s greeted by a coyote ugly type spectacle, and is immediately smitten with Lily, the vivacious brunette bartender who catches him from her bar dancing. He’s drawn to her in a “you know when you know” kind of way- his soul screaming that she’s special to him, so he buys a drink, does some flirting, and convinces her to go on a date with him the next day. The bar isn’t Lily’s full time gig, just what she does when she needs to leave her writing cave. She’s gorgeous but somehow can’t believe that Dante is into her- some remnant baggage from an emotionally abusive relationship- but she decides to put herself out there, because she, too, feels this meant-to-be draw.
Harlow lets us know that this is an instalove story, so we know that we’re not going to have a slow or angsty romantic progression. They lay eyes on each other, and they are pretty much in love, practically living together after a few dates- and for this feel good story that really worked for me. Much of the initial getting to know you happens off page, but that leaves space for Harlow to just let us spend time with these two in the throes of a very innocent, completely fearless “all-in” type of love. We know the characters enough for them to have some substance, and the angst is basically non-existence. We have some external drama, but even that is quickly resolved. Nothing but sweet declarations or steamy lovemaking for our couple. Definitely a nice break from the angsty reads overflowing my TBR.
For a novella, Harlow sure does pack a lot in. She works in characters from her Fairlane series, which fans will appreciate seeing playing some crucial roles. Sadly, I’ve not read those books, but seeing the couples made me want to pick them up! And the small town sounds adorable. We also have some stuff with Lily’s past, wok drama for Dante, and plenty of steamy times sprinkled in.. I loved all these elements, so much so that I wish we’d focused in more on one or two so we could explore some of the emotional impact on the characters more, but truly, keeping the emotion light, not going to deep into the emotional complexities of these folks both ensure this truly was a novella and also kept the tone light and sugary- which is what Harlow (and I) wanted out of this book.
What I loved most were some of the simple couple intimacies between these two- making breakfast or seeing each other’s places for the first time and one particular moment that I won’t ruin for you evolving a very common/mundane thing that was just so sweet- I loved those moments when Harlow showed us them gelling, figuring out what their routines were for the first time, working their way through the life cycle of becoming a couple. Truly charming.
Harlow promised me sweet, fluffy happiness and warm fuzzies, and no doubt, she came through. It is sweet and sexy- a short read that will keep you smiling and will have you grabbing for more Harlow Layne!
Fearless to Love is the seventh installment of the Written in the Stars series, each written by a different author. Harlow Layne’s contribution is the novella story of Dante and Lilly. This is a quick-paced yet completely fulfilling romance with characters that are well developed and likable, a story that is sexy, fun, and engrossing. A novella that feels like a longer story that is completely one-clickable.
Sometimes all it takes is a single look, to know when someone is “the one”. For Dante and Lily, that’s all it took. Dante never used to believe in relationships, until he saw Lily. Lily’s last relationship was emotionally and physically abusive. But somehow with one look and a short conversation, she could sense that Dante was different. If you love insta-love stories you will love Fearless to Love.
The story between Dante and Lily is a short and super sweet insta-love romance that will fill your heart with a happily ever after guaranteed
Dante decides to go out for the night after work instead of spending a lonely night at home. He steps into Rocco’s bar and his eyes immediately lock on Lily, who is dancing on the bar with the other bartenders, coyote ugly style. Dante and Lily’s connection is instant and their attraction mutual. Dante asks her out on a date and they become inseparable from then on.
Harlow Layne has given us again a beautiful romance that is fast paced with a bit of drama, suspense and plenty of heat and of course one of her delicious, sugary sexy alpha heroes that we love reading so much.
With the heart as the guide and soul as the compass, Harlow Layne takes emotions on a head trip unlike any other. Fearless to Love feels like floating on a cloud. The experience is unreal. The romance breathtaking and the characters hard to resist. Lily and Dante are a dream come true with a shock of heartache to cushion the fall.
I really enjoyed this insta love romance. If you are looking for an easy sweet read then you’ll love this. Dante is a succesful man who has no time for relationships but one look at Lily and everything changes. I liked both characters, Dante turned out to be such a protective loving guy and Lily was such a sweet young woman. This was a quick read but it gave just the right amount of drama and angst with enough steamy scenes to keep me happy. A very enjoyable read.
I am starting to really love this series. They don’t all have to be read in order or at all. They are all during the zodiac. This is a new to me author and now I am going to purchase some of the books with these characters. I loved Dante and Lily’s story and love at first sight. I loved the story and the characters. I could not put this down and look forward to more
This is the 7th book in this series and is Dante and Lily’s story. After a tough time at work Dante does not feel like going home, so he just drives until he feels like stopping. The last thing Lily want is another relationship as her least one was mentally and physically abuse, and she is helping at the bar that Dante stops at. From the moment their eyes meet there is an instant connection when the stars all align. This is a well written flawless story which is a sweet and steamy read. I look forward to reading more from this author whose work I recommend for all.
This is the first book by Harlow Layne that I have read. With that being said I really enjoyed it.
This book was a fun, quick read. Even though it was a fun, quick read there were a few moments that touched on a rough subject.
Lily is a fun, loving women. She maybe these things but doesn’t necessarily see herself like this because of things that happened in the past. When she set her eyes on Dante she had a very good feeling about him.
Dante is an overworked business owner, who doesn’t usually do relationships. When he meets Lily he isn’t his normal easy going self (I don’t mean this in a bad way either). He knows as soon as he sees her there is something special about her and also “the one”.
These two together are hot, the chemistry is off the charts and at times very swoon worthy. Even though this a quick insta-love there is also a little bit of tension/twist to keep the story interesting.
I will definitely be looking into more of the Written in the Stars series.
At the very beginning the author let us readers know that this will be an insta love novella because seh wanted to write something light and fun to read while we are all going through lately it would be nice change. I have to admit lately I have read a lot of angst lately so it was refreshing to have something sweet, fluffy to read. We start with Dante having a rough go with his nightclub so he goes for a drive to take his mind off things and ends up at Rocco’s. As soon as he walks into the bar he is immediately drawn to Lily. They develop a very quick bond and a relationship that happens very fast. Lily has some self confidence issues, but yet she knows that her intense attraction and chemistry to Dante is undeniable. As they try to navigate a new relationship together they have figure out if they can work things out or if insecurities will derive them apart all while someone else wants them apart. I loved the friends that were like family dynamic and I loved Dante. I can’t wait to read more from this author!!
I haven’t read any of the books in the series that this novella was attached to, but I had no difficulty enjoying the book as written. I could tell that the role that some of the secondary characters played might be more meaningful if I had read their stories, but it didn’t detract from the enjoyability of the book. It was a quick read and a very quick romance, meaning they went from strangers to happily ever after in record time. Dante and Lily, the hero and heroine of this story were very real, three dimensional characters to me. I suggest you give it a try, I did and was glad I did.

This was such a sweet romance! Dante is so enthralled with Lily and it was instalove at first sight. Their chemistry was explosive and they are just so sweet to each other. The book is well-written and includes glimpse of great friendships and family bonds as well as a little bit of a darker nature of an ex. This was a fun and entertaining book to read!

This story was so sweet and refreshing to read. Total romance and sort of finding love when you least expect it. Gives it a destined feel about love and how two pe6on two dif6roads can lead to eachother. I love the randomness of it and how sweet the story really is. This writer brings these two main characters to life. A definite must read.
This book was everything that I needed right now. It is a beautiful insta-love story that seems believable. It is a beautiful short read that will fill your heart.
Fearless to Love is an insta love romance that will have you falling in love just as quickly as Dante and Lily.
From the moment Dante say Lily he was drawn to her and he didn’t keep that a secret. Lily felt the same. All it took was one date and these two knew they were meant to be together. I loved how caring Dante is when it comes to Lily. He is instantly protective of her, he wants to take care of her. He is a complete gentleman, though he does have an alpha side, too.
Dante and Lily have amazing chemistry and I loved their relationship. If you’ve read any of Harlow’s Fairlane series there are some characters that you’ll recognize and I loved getting little bits of them, again.
Fearless to Love is a MUST READ insta love romance.
The stars aligned for them in this sweet’n’sexy novella
Holy hotness Batman!!! Author Harlow Layne crashes straight out of the gate and into love with this delectable insta-love novella that is her contribution to the ‘Written in The Stars’ multi-author series. It’s a decadently sweet and sexy little bite of love that all romance bookaholics can squeeze into any part of the day.
Dante is everything that is the best about book boyfriends, and is perfect for the normally reticent Lily. Having been let down by his business partner he’s working all hours to save it until one night he can’t face another night at home alone. Is it fate that leads him to the next town and into a bar where one of the most gorgeous women he’s laid eyes on is working?? He seems to think so.
Dante totally believed that the stars had aligned for his meeting with Lily.
Ms Layne creates some of the most gorgeous book boyfriends that I have read. They are totally alpha without being overbearing, in charge without being dictatorial, and of course they are gorgeous, even if they are not perfect. At the same time, our heroines are not waiting around to be rescued either. Oh no. These ladies are fiercely independent and successful in what they do.
I’m thinking I’m going to have to check out other novellas in this series of stand-a-lones as well. As for this little read with everything hot and romantic squeezed into it, it’s a 4.5 Star from me.
The book is a good small town romance read. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry.
