She’s been the oracle for less than a month and she’s already angered the gods. If she doesn’t meet fate’s demand, all of Havenwood Falls will suffer.
Lana Velis always knew she might one day inherit the powers and duties of the Oracle of Delphi, but the inheritance arriving in the middle of her last-ever college final wasn’t something even she could predict. With a power she never wanted and her … could predict.
With a power she never wanted and her testy cat, Lana must leave her best friend behind and make her way to Havenwood Falls to take over the never-ending petitioner list her ya-ya left behind. If only it were that easy. Now, not only is she saddled with a guardian she has no interest in having, but she’s also forced to live with him.
And the hurdles keep coming. First, Lana must convince the Court of the Sun and the Moon to honor her title as the sacred oracle. Then she’s bound by the laws of the gods to never tell someone’s future if they aren’t on her list—a law she struggles with, especially when she sees an unfathomable future of a little girl.
Now the gods are angry, and the Fates demand a soul in place of the one she stole—or all of Havenwood Falls will suffer the consequences. Lana must choose a soul to sacrifice, because in the end, Fate will always get its due.

I felt bad for Lana, being thrown in head first. She knew very little about any of it. Hades though, what the heck? hahaha
I don’t envy Lana and her powers. Being an oracle isn’t easy. She has a tough choice to make and it could be heart wrenching. Damien is her sexy, fierce protector. He is a bit over protective, but I find it admirable.
All the characters are fanstatic. They pull you into their journey and leave you wanting more. *hint*hint*
I loved Fate’s Demand overall. I hope this author writes lots more stories for the Havenwood Falls universe.
I love these stories and this little supernatural town.
Just as Lana was taking the last final to graduate college, her grandmother passes away and in turn, Lana inherits her power as the Oracle of Delphi. Exactly the last thing she wants.
Now she and her grouchy cat have to move to Havenwood Falls, a place she barely remembers, for their protection and to continue the Oracle traditions. Shortly after Lana arrives, she makes a mistake that angers the gods and one that demands a soul for the one she saved.
This is a fast read and cute story about a girl that is figuring things out…with the help of a nice guy.
This is an entertaining stand-alone romantic fantasy tale in the Havenwood Falls series. Lana Velis was leading an ordinary life (more or less) and was just about to graduate college when fate hits and her life takes a drastic change. Now she finds herself trying to acclimatize to her new powers, duties, and the rules of being the new Oracle of Delphi. Not only has she inherited a role she never wanted but she has had to leave her old life behind, move to a town full of supernaturals and live with an overprotective guy she had never met before. The cherry on top of the cake comes when she breaks the god’s rules and now, she must face the consequences. You can’t help but feel sorry for Lana and the disruption to her life and challenges she has had to face but then again, she has gained a witty, hunky, drool worthy guardian, so things are not all bad. This is a quick enjoyable read that leaves enough room for more stories about these characters in future books.
I have been provided with a copy of Fate’s Demand by Ang’dora Productions for
an impartial review. This is the twenty eighth book in the Havenwood Falls series. Each book in this series is a standalone title and can be read in any order. This book features Lana Velis the new Oracle of Delphi and in this story you get to see her journey into her new powers. I really enjoyed this novella and getting to meet some new characters. It was just really easy to get lost in this great story and I just couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait to see what next from this series.
Lana was just about finished with college when her life changed. She always knew it was possible, but thought she would have more time. Damen has been training his entire life for a job that might never come, and yet it does. They both have a new set of rules to follow, and it’s a bit hard to adjust at first.
I really enjoyed this, but wish it had been a bit longer. I hope there will be a follow up where we can find out more, and see if Jensen does get to visit in the future.
