WHEN LOVE IS MIXED WITH MAGIC, ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN
Descended from witches burned at the stake, Lady Emilia Noble knows all too well how society persecutes the different. She trusts no one but her own siblings, never daring to reveal to anyone outside the family that she, like her grandmother before her, can read a person’s emotions through the changing colors of their aura. When her brother’s … changing colors of their aura. When her brother’s foolhardy boast that he can predict the future entangles him with the unscrupulous Lord Abernathy, Emilia is faced with a new threat: the ruination of the family’s finances and the unmasking of their secret past.
Until Emilia meets Felix Huntar, the Duke of Kintore. For years, Felix has watched as his immoral uncle, Lord Abernathy, has cast shame upon their family through his dishonest machinations. Determined that Abernathy won’t hurt anyone else, he vows to help Emilia resolve her family’s debts. He’s been drawn to her since the moment he met her, and slowly, she begins to trust him too. But when Abernathy threatens to reveal the Noble family’s supernatural gifts, Emilia’s worst nightmare becomes a very real reality.
Can Felix and Emilia’s love triumph over the forces of evil, or are they fated to be perpetually alone?

I loved this. The writing was as smooth as butter over hot toast. I loved the mix of the paranormal and regency type story. The characters were realistic, lovable, loyal and caring. They were a team with one objective, take care of each other, look out for one another, trust their gifts. The H/h of the story did not come on too strong. Yet they showed courage, determination and the desire to right any wrongs. The several days the H/h spent together had them off guard and trusting each other. The more deeply they got to know each other the more deeply they fell in love. The ending was surprising and I wanted the story to continue. I need to read the next book as this one ended with a semi cliffhanger. A wonderful read. I truly enjoyed it and highly recommend it. I received a free copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Fated For The Duke (Enduring Legacy #13) by Christina McKnight
I received this book from the author for an honest review.
Before I start, I should say I have not read all the books in the series, but you don’t need to in order to follow each story. However, each story is a descendent of the characters from the very first story. So if you haven’t read the first book I recommend you do so to understand what is happening or where these stories came from.
Ok so this story, Emilia and her sisters all have the gift to read peoples auroras which came from their burned at the stake witch descendants hence why there is a paranormal theme. This can be a gift and a curse for people. It becomes a curse when her brother tells the wrong people about his ability and BOOM the bad guy enters the story. However, we soon learn the bad guy has a sweet family member in the wings who will do all he can for Emilia and her family.
I enjoyed the story of Felix and Emilia. I loved the light touched of paranormal in the story because I am a huge paranormal girl. This story, as with all of her stories, have the theme of the importance of family. I loved seeing her bringing her writing gifts to this series.
Lady Emilia Noble is a descendant of witches. Her Seanmhair Ailis (grandmother) has made sure each of her three granddaughters have knowledge of their gifts. Her grandson will inherit the title. Emilia’s gift is that she can see other people’s aura and know when someone is lying. Her brother has been betting with a very dishonest Lord. He gets into trouble and is brought home by that Lord’s nephew Felix, Duke of Kintore, a Lord who is not dishonest. Emilia and Felix make a connection and eventually come to trust each other. The sister’s and Felix must work together when the evil Lord Abernathy demands funds for the money he has lost…He blames it on their brother (who boasted to have powers but doesn’t). If they don’t pay he will expose all the secrets of the family. Can they all work together for one purpose and can Emilia and Felix trust each other completely to have their HEA?
The character’s are witty and come alive. You really dislike the Uncle and start cheering when things fall into place. I look forward to the remaining siblings stories…
This is such a charming story full of love of family and the extremes to protect them. The blooming relationship between Felix and Em is just delightful. The girls “gifts” of empathy, sight for the future and to read another’s energy force must be guarded at all costs. Felix is just the protector they need and the man fated for Em.
Fate brought them together with a little help. The moment they met they were drawn to each other and had no idea what was in store for them. I loved that they are a bit opposite in some things, especially in intense situations. I was surprised in the end with how he fixed things and that note has me excited for her siblings.
Emilia always puts her siblings first and will do anything to protect them. I loved how she wasn’t afraid and didn’t back down. She still had much to learn about her gift, but she let fate lead her without knowing it.
Felix has taken care of his uncle for years and nothing seems to shock him anymore. I loved that he always seemed to be calm and able to understand anything thrown at him. He knew what he had to do for himself and her family.

Fated For The Duke book 13 by Christina McKnight in the Enduring Legacy series. Outstanding, has a few twists to keep you entertained.
My free opinion. Thanks.
Fated For The Duke is a fabulous historical romance with a twist of paranormal by Christina McKnight. Ms. McKnight has provided readers with a well-written book that’s hard to put down once you start it. You’ve been warned. Emilia and two of her siblings are gifted with the gift of sight, empathy and the gift to read another’s energy force. They must keep their abilities hidden. Felix, Duke of Kintore, hunts down his uncle and finds him just as he puts a fist in the face of the young man with him. Emilia and Felix’s story is packed with drama, humor, action, spice and troublesome family members. I enjoyed reading Fated For The Duke and look forward to my next book by Christina McKnight. Fated For The Duke is book 13 in the Enduring Legacy Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
It was almost instant love for Emilia and Felix. I loved watching them come to realize it. I give props to Moire for being able to keep a secret! I do wish Ian didn’t feel like an outcast to his sisters, but his book is next so that should shed some light on him and their connection. It was an earned ending for the uncle as well. 4 Stars because there’s no way those girl’s parents are as lax as they seem! Thank you for the advanced copy!
Gifts can often be curses if the circumstances are right. But with Emilia and her sisters, they have special gifts that have been passed down by their ancestors with the ability to read a person’s auras, emotions and the future. The problem begins when their brother, brags he can predict the outcome of a horse race. Unfortunately he is with the blackguard Lord Abernathy and his wagering puts the family at risk. Of course the sisters step in and try to clean up the mess their brother made. But as fate might have it, Felix, Duke of Kintore, Abernathy’s nephew, comes in just as his uncle is about to hit the young man with him. As Emilia and Felix meet, a lot begins to happen.
With a little of everything, I loved this story and it kept me captive until the end! You do not want to miss this tale or any of Christina’s books!! Although part of a series, this can be read as a standalone.
I like very much this story…
The magic of three sisters… the strong bond among them and their brother.
A dashing hero… and secret to maintain…
A story that you will love…
I received a free book and this is my honest and voluntary review.
This was a very enjoyable book to read. The characters where easy to relate too, even though the girls had special gifts. Being paranormal gave it a nice lift, a change from the usual historical romance. I don’t generally like paranormal but this had just enough to make it very interesting and different. It was also a nice clean read with a lovely balance of romance. Well worth the read. It was also a good beginning to a series that I am very much looking forward to. I received this as an ARC.
This is an excellent read from Christina. The story is about three young women who are sisters and each have an ancient gift that must be kept secret, or they will be forced to move to ensure their safety. Their brother does something that threatens to have their secret revealed. As the brother is embroiled in a bad financial situation with the Duke of Kintore’s uncle it causes Emilia to meet the Duke. Is this meeting fate? Were they destined to meet all along? Will the family secret revealed?
You will have to read this wonderful story to get the answers. It is a very sweet story that grabbed and held my interest from beginning to end. The characters are interesting and very likable, and the story is very well-written. Loved it! Highly recommend it!
Whilst each book in the series can be read on its own, there is the theme of the descendants of the family with special powers in each book hence The Enduring Legacy

This was a lovely short story, which I read in a sitting. Felix & Emilia are immediately attracted to each other & fall for each other quickly, the pace is good & the characters well developed for a novella. I thoroughly enjoyed it & hope the other siblings have their stories
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
Another Great by Christina McKnight! Fated For The Duke is book 13 in the Enduring Legacy Collection. Each book in this collection is written by a different author but can be read as a standalone. This regency story has some paranormal in it as well and Christina’s imagination is truly amazing. Oh how I enjoyed reading this story. Her characters are lovable and the enemy you hate. What more could you ask for in a book. This story has evil, drunkenness, gambling, patients, obligations to family, sisterly love, secrets, understanding, loneliness, kindness, rescue, protection and love at first sight. Who could ask for more. I highly recommend you read this story or any of Christina McKnight’s books… They are just wonderful!
***This book was gifted to me and I am voluntarily reviewing.
Lady Emilia Noble has had the protection of her family’s secrets, drummed into her all her life. They each have an inherited gift. Unfortunately those gifts can put them at risk from unscrupulous people and those that fear them. Our heroine’s family can also be sneaky in manipulating things.
Felix Huntar, the Duke of Kintore was orphaned as a youth and left in the care of his uncle. The uncle however is not a responsible person. Our hero has spent his adult life repairing the damage caused by him, bailing him out of trouble time and time again.
A sweet historical romance that introduces us to a fascinating family. I assume each of the siblings will get their own book. A very entertaining, light read.
Short and Sweet standalone. Just a touch of magic and scheming from her sister has fate bringing Lady Emilia and the Duke together. Charming story of choosing family and sticking together. The Noble family siblings have know from a very early age that their gifts need to be protected and not to trust easily. When Emilia meets Felix Huntar she sees that she can trust him. I am looking forward to the siblings stories next!
