LUNA
I never asked for this. I never wanted this.
But I’ve been forced into this life I never knew existed. How do I begin to comprehend the reality of Fallen Angels?
I’m surrounded by my worst nightmares and greatest fears, but I’ll be damned if I let them control me.
You’ve consumed me without my permission. Made a home inside of my blood without my asking.
Now, I’m lost to you in … blood without my asking.
Now, I’m lost to you in every sense of the word and I’m unsure if I want to find my way out.
ELIJAH
I never wanted you. I could have lived my entire existence without you and been content.
But now you’re here and I’m hungry to destroy you.
Eat you up and taste the demonic shade of your blood.
Because even if I don’t want you, I can’t help but crave you.

REVIEW FOR THE BOOK FATED BY LIZA JAMES.
GENRE: PARANORMAL ROMANCE….. FANTASY.
TYPE: BOOK 1 IN THE FATED SERIES.
AUTHOR: LIZA JAMES.
POV: FIRST PERSON WITH DUAL POV.
RATING: 5 angelic stars.
I don’t read this genre because its hard for some of us to imagine circumstances that are not normal in the real world. But this book merges Fantasy and Reality beautifully.
It helps me as a reader that our main character LUNA, had no idea about the other world…alongside her, we are entering a new world. Both the protoganist have painful past which they have to learn to get past. But as their past are related, can they truly overcome the difficulties and be together?
This book was very angsty… and i mean super angsty. If you are one of those that easily gets frustrated from the angsty situation of the characters…BETTER BUCKLE YOUR SEAT..You are in for a rough ride.
ELLIAH and his brother NATHANIEL are fallen angels who were exiled from their world because they made a mistake. Elliah was living a normal life among humans until he met luna.
Everything change from that point.
There was angst, fated love, pack of action and situations which will keep you at the edge of the seat. ANGELS AND FREAKING DEMONS IN A LOVE STORY.. i mean does it get any better?
I loved this book as it was a new experience and certainly out of my comfort zone..but i have no regrets.
VERY EXCITED FOR THE NEXT BOOK IN THE FATED SERIES …DESCENT which is about luna’s sister STELLA and Elliah’s brother Nathaniel.

It has its dark moments and makes you want to scream a couple of times. I was hooked from the first page.
“Be careful what you ask for, mo dheamhan, because I’ll take everything. And I won’t be gentle about it.”
So after reading Vibe by Liza I knew I had to jump into this series I had seen everyone raving about it on Bookstagram. This one was a different take on the fated mates trope. Wherein Elijah absolutely loathes the idea of being mated to someone ever again. While Luna is blissfully unaware of her role in the side of the world that is until she is kidnapped and almost killed. Elijah saves her after the bond slams into place and cue the angst and drama of him pushing her away in the most hurtful ways he can imagine. She takes alot of it but every now and then some fire comes out in her and I loved those scenes.
I didn’t like that I could find any reasoning besides the fated bond and lust that they were connecting over, I just didn’t see why they cared about one another honestly. But I did love the fight against the bond they both put up. The angels and demons trope isn’t one I usually go for but this didn’t have a ton of religious nonsense that would have pulled me out of the story. The sexual tension between the two of them was quite enjoyable to read. I was highly intrigued about the brother Nathaniel and am curious to read his book.
TW: cheating (semi as they’re not in a relationship at the time), mentions of past sexual assault
I grabbed this book because my friend suggested it, I hadn’t any idea what it was about and at first I was like hmm this is dark well I love dark romance so I’m good to go. Then it turns out it’s a Angel/Demon romance well I’m good with that too!! So to say I was surprised I was but that’s on me. However I gotta say I was hooked like omg I gotta find out what is going happen!! Then add in my love/hate relationship with Elijah cause I’ll tell you he was a prick a smoking hot prick but still a prick towards Luna. Now Luna is a feisty little spitfire that dishes it out towards sir Mc hottie and actually stands her ground! I like that she’s not going be ran over just cause Elijah wants to be an a$$ towards her. They have a hate/hate relationship towards each other which just cranks up the chemistry between them even more!! Let me tell you some of those scenes you’ll be fanning yourself!!
This was my first by and let me tell you I’m dying to read the next one!! She told a compelling, complex story that leaves us excited to concur the next of the series!! It was absolutely mind blowing and I am completely hooked!! I’ll definitely continue reading her work!!
Fated is the first book I read of Liza James before I even read the blurb for this series I was intrigued and wanted to find out more thanks to the cover!
This book had me glued to my kindle from the very first page! This story is crazy addictive wanting to know more about Luna, her sister Stella, the fallen Angels Elijah and his brother Nathanial.
The chemistry between Luna and Elijah is hella strong thanks to been a Fated love, the slow burn between them, sends them on a crazy love/hate relationship until it all blows up with a bang!
Liza paints a story with her amazing words and what a story Fated is, Liza keeps you on your toes and guessing what’s going to happen next… can’t wait to see where Liza takes us next in Descent!
Seriously grab a copy today!!
Unique paranormal book that took me into the world of Fallen Angels. I really enjoyed the world that the author created and although I spent a most of the first half of the book annoyed at the hero for resisting the inevitable, I was able to understand where he was coming from. I have decided I have a suspicious mind, because other than Elijah and Luna, I suspected pretty much every character in the book of working with or for the villain. I loved the connection Elijah and Luna were able to forge and the glimpses into their pasts helped me fully understand how deep that connection went. I am excited to see how the underlying story continues into book two.
** spoiler alert ** Fated is the first book in this series by Liza James, and oohhhh boy it did not disappoint!
Angels & Demons
Dark & Gritty
Fated mates
Luna is just your typical barista until she gets kidnapped and thrown right smack dab in the middle of a world she had no idea existed—one filled with fallen angels and demons. It is while Luna is with her captors that Elijah stumbles upon her by chance, instantly drawn to her the moment their eyes lock. He reluctantly saves her, and even more reluctantly bonds his life to hers after attempts to save her life have failed.
The pull between Luna and Elijah intensifies between them after the bonding, and both do their best to deny it. Elijah does some shitty things—like keeping his fuck buddy after Luna moves in, playing with her emotions, and trying to force her off on someone else. The bond wins out and Elijah and Luna both come to their senses. They learn how intertwined their lives have been from the start, coming together time and time again over the years.
In this book we also meet Stella, Luna’s baby sister, and Nathaniel, Elijah’s brother, and I cannot wait to see how their story unfolds in the following books!
‘We consume each other with every breath, love each other with every thought, and I realise that for the first time in my life, I feel whole again.’
If, like me, you aren’t really a paranormal fan or just haven’t read much of the genre then this book will definitely change your opinion! I honestly cannot remember the last time I read anything paranormal in adult romance fiction category.
This book has such a wonderful story and the world development is really well done. The characters that inhabit this world are all so unique and mysterious and I genuinely had no idea as to what would come next. The story revolves around Elijah, a Fallen Angel, and Luna, his Fated mate. The chemistry between the two was off the charts and I was rooting for them the entire time.
This was the first book I have read by Liza James and it for sure won’t be the last! Fated is the first book within the series and is one of those series starters that makes you anticipate the next book. I was surprised throughout with where the plot went as I had gone into this read blind not knowing anything about it other than the fact it had Fallen Angels.
I would recommend this book to anybody who enjoy romance and fantasy all rolled into one.
Fated by Liza James
5 STARS
I don’t normally read paranormal or fantasy, but FATED got me so BAD. I was hooked from the first page.
It was my first read from Liza James, and I went blind in it.
I was NOT prepared. Dammmmmnnnn.
Mindblowing, Heartblowing, Brainblowing, my emotions and my mind were everywhere.
Honestly, I don’t know how to write this review.. I loved that were twists & turns, I loved the chemistry between Luna & Elijah, and I also loved the secondary characters, Stella & Nate, witch I can’t wait for their story.
I highly recommend this book, even if you are not a fan of paranormal & fantasy, you should definitely give it a try, and most importantly, dive in Blind.
Holy…
Well sh*t!
Liza was a new to me author a couple of weeks ago, who know cause Quarantine that I got introduced to by K. V. Rose and I am not disappointed!
Dark, twisted, and depraved which is my favorite combination made Fated such an amazing read.
You guys I’m a sucker for Fallen angels and demons period and I LOVE a good paranormal and this story has everything that checks my boxes on what a good paranormal romance should have in spades ! This story take place in present day New York City and let me tell you the angst the emotion the push and pull between Elijah and Luna will definitely have you turning page after page . This story is a highly addictive sexy angst filled steamy read full of sexual tension , sarcasm and steamy af scenes and I haven’t come across a couple more fated to be together in a while like these two are. I can’t wait to see what else this author has in store for us ! Definite must read and definite 5 stars from me!
So if you ask any of my friends I don’t usually read paranormal but omg this book was
If you’re looking for something different to switch it up you NEED to read this
Elijah and Luna are both broken but that just makes them even more drawn to each other, the angst and love-hate makes for an emotional rollercoaster of a story and that just means we flick those pages faster
I literally cannot wait for the next book!
Thank you Liza for giving us an amazing world to dive into and escape
I.LOVE.THIS.BOOK.SO.MUCH!
This book blew me away! It was fanflippingtastic! Right from the get go I was pulled into this book and was not let up until the very end! I loved everything about it! This book had me gripping my kindle through all the twists and turns until the end and I am still wanting more!! I gave up sleep for this book which means it has to be pretty bada** because I love my sleep! I was constantly asking myself what the heck is going to happen next! The chemistry between not just the main characters but all the characters is phenomenal! I can’t wait for the next book!
I recieved an ARC for my honest review
I had not read any paranormal type books in a bit but seeing as angels and demons were advertised for this one, I had to read it. Who doesn’t love a demon?? This book sucked me in from page one. I didn’t want to put it dow. I love a book with an exciting push and pull between the two main characters with a lot of sexual tension. Luna questioned herself and their feelings towards each other a lot. Elijah of course wanted to deny it all but eventually he couldn’t hold back anymore. I love the idea of the dates and how rare it is as well as the anxiety and angst from the danger of poses. Also, who didn’t love for a tale with a crazy ex thrown in the mix?! While story hands down amazing. And as much as I love Elijah and luna, I am going crazy waiting for Nathaniel and Stella!! I love that Luna has her sister and they’re going to be on this weird journey together but also love that Liza James made them diffetent , each with a different story to tell and different path to navigate!
Holy hell, to say that I LOVED Fated would be an understatement! Liza James had my heart racing the entire time. I loved the chemistry between Elijah and Luna. I felt the hate, love, the angst…all the emotions. I can’t wait to feel these emotions and more with the next one! Great job Liza James!
I won an e-copy of this book in a giveaway.
It sounded good, I won it, why not?
It was an interesting concept played on the concept of the fates mates trope. So you have Fallen Angels that can bond with one another, and then you have those that are Fated and when they bond, it’s all the more intense. This book plays with the second one. I was a bit nervous going into it with the mixed reviews and all. There was talk of Elijah sleeping with someone else, despite his Fated being in the house. I wasn’t a fan to hear this, and those reviews are right; that did happen and it is jerk-ish of him, but I also do understand the idea behind it all. He was only trying to push the whole thing away. What I didn’t get was why he tried to push her away so that one day they can exist apart but comfortably, yet in the next part says that a Fated can no way live apart from their other half. The character contradicted himself.
Yet, despite that, I liked Elijah. He does the bad boy trope well. Plays the part of protective mate, all while being an a$$. I don’t have much to say on Luna. I didn’t connect well with her, but overall, no complaints. For me, she was just there.
One thing this author does well is those damn sex scenes. Boy, does she know how to write tension and sexual heat!! On that note, the entire book was written well too.
I was confused with another plot point discovered toward the end but am hoping book 2 clears it up. I will definitely be continuing with this series! I am super happy I won this book because I highly enjoyed it.

So much potential is wrapped within the pages of this book. I am looking forward to the next book.
When bad things happen to a person and everything is out of your control. Life just seems to be kicking you down over and over again, but you don’t know how small your world becomes when your fate is written for you.
This is the story about Luna and Elijah. Two souls that have been hurt beyond compare. They remind me of a magnet when they come together they are stronger and hard to pull apart. But when they clash they bounce off of each other, becoming weak and easy prey.
This story was an angsty read. It’s an emotional journey of two stubborn characters that push the limits to get what they want or don’t want. The lead and supporting characters were well developed and had so much depth. The villains in this story are not lacking either. You get to see bits and pieces of their lives. At some points you get mixed emotions about all of them. James’ writing style gives you the right amount of details and shreds you whole but mends you at the same time. She keeps you on the edge of your seat with this suspenseful tale. This book is a must read, and I’m highly anticipating book two.
*** WARNING— I wouldn’t be a responsible blogger if I didn’t let you know this book comes with dark content. This book has triggers for some. It deals with sexual assault, rape, violence and blood. And it does go into explicit detail. ****
Unique paranormal dark romance
Angels and demons and other entities that populate the world in a civil war. The first book is full of world building and character development and setting up the storylines for future books. The main make character is an absolute are for 90% of the book as he fights against the bond he has with the heroine. She is a tough and gritty survivor that you have to side with. The action really picks up about 85% of the way and barrels through fast paced to the end. It’s a cliffhanger so be ready for that. And trigger warnings, there are elements of rape, torture and sexual abuse. If you can’t handle those, this book is not for you. I however, am looking forward to the next one.
OH MY GOD. I am OBSESSED! Anyone who knows me knows I don’t normally read paranormal or fantasy. I also tend to not read the blurbs as I don’t like to have any preconceptions about a book. If it’s in my genre, I’ll read it. Well I went in COMPLETELY blind with Fated. I was not prepared for demon’s and fallen angels, but it did not deter me one bit. You know why? Because Liza had me HOOKED from the very beginning. My love for this book just kept growing with every single page.
Our hero Elijah, a fallen angel, is unknowingly fated to Luna. You’re given insight into how their lives have been intertwining for decades. I absolutely LOVED the insights and flashes of their paths crossing. Elijah is stubborn and cold, trying to hide his connection and want for Luna. Luna is just as stubborn and feisty. Trying to navigate her new feelings of being constantly turned on whenever she sees Elijah, all the while he kept denying his feelings to her and putting her through the ringer. Their bond to each other was driving them sexually crazy, and it was so damn steamy. It was like you, as the reader, are experiencing their sexual frustration. FEELING it for Luna and so damn worked up by the time they collide you’re on fire.
You’re also given a glimpse into Nathaniel and Stella, and good lord if I wasn’t on fire before, I DEFINITELY was by then! Stella completely amplified the sex vibe of Fated and damn if Daddy Nate didn’t do just the same Their interactions alone have me salivating for book 2, and honestly, I don’t know if I’m going to survive the wait.
I can’t recommend this book enough! There was so many levels and details to the story that kept me captivated . Absolutely one my favorite books ever so of course I’ve had to add it to TalkNerdy2me’s Must Reads.
