What a fantastic read this was!! We catch up with Jayce as she gets a message about upcoming danger. Being a little vague it sets the sisters on edge I told finally stuff starts happening and mean does it keep coming. Jayce can barely keep up as they try to find the clues, save the town, and themselves all at the same time. Full of an eclectic mix of magical characters giving someone for everyone. I especially enjoyed the addition of the spells which was quite fun to lol at. A must read for fans of magical cozy mysteries. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
Fate by Kirsten Weiss is an excellent story with mystery and magic set in Doyle, California.
Will the fight against Fate end the way that the Bonheim sisters want?
Jayce Bonheim
Jayce is our main character and our witchy sleuth. She finds herself in the position of saving the town from the magical bad guys. However, she doesn’t have to do it alone; her sisters are there to help her if she stops to let them in. It felt like Jayce learned a lot about herself and the people of Doyle.
What I like about Jayce is she tries to protect all of the townspeople. She also wasn’t afraid to call her friend out what she thought her friend had done. Braydon and Jayce have a good relationship; it was nice to see them working together. The only thing that bothers me about Jayce is she doesn’t always communicate well. Other than that, she is a great character.
The Mystery
We have a few murders and then the whole mystery of who, why, and what the Black Lodge wants with Doyle. Things are moving fast, and it feels like as soon as Jayce finds a clue, the next issue is surfacing. I liked the way the sisters work together to solve the magical side of the problems.
Also, the author gives us a police blotter at the beginning of each chapter, which keeps us on track of what is going on in the town and made me laugh.
Five Stars
Fate by Kirsten Weiss is a well-crafted story with amazing characters, a lovely setting, and the right amount of intrigue. I loved it. Therefore I am giving it five stars. I highly recommend this to all cozy paranormal readers.
Remember, if you want to see what the mundanes went through, check out my review of Close Encounters of the Curd Kind. It’s the other side of what is happening in Doyle; you know the UFO, aliens, and the same mass hysteria.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy from the Great Escapes Book Tours. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

This is the first in this series I’ve read, just like the 3rd book in the Wits End series was. I loved how they crossed into each other! It made things so much more enjoyable and explained things from the other book from a different perspective. I look forward to reading the past and future books in this series.

I love this series and this entry is no exception , the sisters are some of my favorite in the paranormal world, Kirsten Weiss is a fantastic author, I have said it in reviews before, but an author who can make me laugh out loud or cry, is in my opinion a great one!!
The Bonheim triplets Karin, Jayce and Lenore are Witches, strong apart but stronger together, each brings something unique to the party, this book is from Jayce’s point of view, she may give off the strong as nails exterior, the owner of the local coffee shop, but behind the veneer is a passionate woman who loves her sisters fiercely and her boyfriend passionately.
When another murder rocks the town again, with plenty of suspects as a horde of evil has come to town in the visage of a circus (if you want my opinion, and lets face it you do, your reading my review, it has to be clowns, clowns are always evil, they are inherently evil, jist look at them!! EVIL) ok got that off my chest!
This is a great read, it is not in your face obvious there are plenty twists and turns, I highly recommend this book, this series, this author and everything she has written”
Enjoy

The sisters seem to be caught working with a sort of supernatural sheriffs department, policing the wicked . An evil book went into evidence a while back, associated with a murder. A wave of dark magic seems to be headed towards town. A flurry of strange deaths follows.
Working together is something the sisters seem to still be learning, and trying to keep a recurring nightmare from coming true haunts Jayce, and keeps her from involving her sibs too much in some parts of her investigations.
Fabulous, funny, and a bit melancholy.
A riveting read!

The circus has come to town, bringing black magic, murders and strange happenings around town with it. Jayce investigates the murders and tries to find if there is a connection to the circus, while keeping her sisters in the dark, for their own safety. Can she handle what she is about to come up against on her own? And what does the magical book that the sheriff won’t let them see have to do with all of these things? The book was good, I missed a few books in the series, but had no trouble following the story. Plenty of paranormal action, murders, mystery, and romance.
