This short novella immediately drew me in. The book ended abruptly, but had the promise of another, longer book with a link to download. The download for the next book didn’t work, and I was bitterly disappointed. I would have enjoyed more from this author.
This book was a really fun read. Kind a like Jack reacher, just not quite as involved. Bottom line you knew the good guy I was going to kick some butt. Will definitely read more by this author
Keeps you in suspense from the beginning to end. Great story line and the characters are vivid and carries the plot from start to finish.
Lots of raw violence in this book. For some reason it didn’t keep me from reading it. Maybe this is how real life in the US Intelligence world really is.
This is a great read!!! I was hooked from the get go. The characters are great and realistic. I really enjoy reading these stories. Thanks Perry
The writing of this novel was professional. If I can read it fairly quickly from cover to cover, the flow and style are agreeable to me. The only problem I had was the feasibility of the situation. A vigilante sheriff is a little beyond reality. Not that I wouldn’t want someone to erase a few of the subhuman vermin without the burdens of a judicial system. Maybe that was the authors point.
Enjoyed the read
Pretty good read
Hadn’t met this author or his character. Pretty good read. Maybe he should do a few books on Debbie.
6’6″ Jack is rather stuck on himself with a great girlfriend but his black ops secret life keeps getting in the way of romance. Saving the world is his priority.
If you like books where the sheriff plays judge, jury, and executioner, the women are always firecrackers, and the bad guys never see what’s coming, then this book is for you. The story gets straight to the point and the plentiful action is a little predictable, but the message is clear. Don’t cross Jack Lamburt or anyone he knows or cares for. Fatal Justice is a quick read, great for an afternoon. Treat it like a popcorn movie and you won’t be disappointed. (3.5 stars)
This book shows what can happen when the wrong Federal officers think they know more than what they really do. They paid the price, disappeared for good. Very good ending.
Fun, entertaining book!
Warning uses lots of bad language (even uses the c-word) and a short semi-explicit sex scene but turned into an action scene (not romantic). You’ll see. So be forewarned.
But the story is FUNNY! What I liked most about the book is the humor. I smiled a lot and laughed out loud a few times too. The main character, the local sheriff, is making funny comments all the time. Sometimes I feel the author may be trying too hard, but I still loved that aspect of the book.
Mobsters drop in on a small town in NY and piss off the locals. The sheriff takes care of the bad guys- vigilante style. He may have no deputies or an even an office, they never mentioned it, but he seems to be capable by himself.
It is a short novel and the first in a series.
If you can look past the language, then read it!
It was different and I really liked it.
A little predictable and a little bit of a stretch on plot. But not to the point it wasn’t worth reading to the end. I liked the main character and his love interest. It had a couple of funny characters that kept my interest going even when the story line lagged a bit. Overall a good read.
Wish it were longer!
It was a good read
First book I’ve read by this author. Interesting plot development, but it was a little unsettling to see how cavalier the hero is about killing people.
Good book. Like the way you are rooting for a sheriff that takes justice into his own hands
this was a great read!
Although this isn’t my favorite of genres, I enjoyed reading this book. It is very entertaining. Couldn’t put it down. I recommend it.
