Sam has a craft for writing and I have never read a book by her that is disappointing.
In this second book of the new Gainfully Employed Series, Blaise finds herself knee deep in a murder. What should have been a simple project turns into trying to wrangle a proposal team to even pitch in and oh, of course, a murder! Now Blaise finds she has more suspects than she knows what to do with. Luckily she has the help of her fiancé Dolfe and a whole lot of determination. Will she be able to find the killer or find herself in danger?
This book is full of the right amount of suspense and mystery, along with characters that you can’t help but love. Can’t wait for the next book in this series!
Fun Murder Mystery
This is a fun, cozy murder mystery. This is one of a series that features Blaise Runa and the Honeybun clan. The plot has plenty of twists and turns. I don’t think ant reader could guess the final outcome until the author reveals it. As always, the real fun is in the journey. The romance side of the story is clean and tender. I look forward to more of this series and more of this author’s work. I received this book for free and voluntarily chose to post my honest review.
Another Wonderful Whodunit by Sam Cheever. If you haven’t treated yourself to Ms. Cheever’s fascinating world of whodunits, you are missing out. I love her style so much. Her books are funny, suspenseful, romantic and excitement all rolled up into one. Not to mention we usually seen older characters from earlier books so we have a chance to catch up on old friends.
Fatal Assignment involves two of my favorites, Blaise and Dolfe. Of course Dolfe is a Honeybun so of course we get to see part of the Honeybun family as well. (The Honeybuns series are not to be missed by the way). When Blaise stumbles on dead body in the elevator where she’s working, her nosey side can’t help but get involved right alongside her fiance Dolfe (who we all know is a PI). The author will take you on a thrilling, yet humorous ride, as we follow the clues and narrow down the list of possible killers. The problem can they do it fast enough before another body turns up or before the killer turns their thoughts onto them?
2 Thumbs up for a great read, one I highly recommend. You won’t regret it or any of the magnificent whodunit books by Ms. Cheever.
You will never find a spoiler in any of my reviews, but here are the bare facts! Sam Cheever is an amazing author and has managed to outdod herself by penning yet another brilliant story! There is always a humor, which is a must for me, to keep the story going! You will also find a great story that can stand alone even if you have not read any books in the series before. Also, a little romance, obvious chemistry between the characters which makes to romance likable and believable, tons of twists and turns that keep you guessing until the very end. You think you know the killer, then your thoughts are completely disproved. The characters are ALWAYS well developed, the stories are ALWAYS captivating and keeps you swiping your Kindle until you get to the end! Dolfe and Blaise hold their own and are a pleasure to follow. You are guaranteed to LOVE this book, well written, entertaining, and will certainly have you going back to read other books by Sam Cheever! Why are you still reading this, go get this book NOW!
Blaise is a consultant for a struggling company. She finds a dead body in the elevator. A security guard, Wally was found tied up with a bruise on his head. Dolfe is a PI working with police detective Brita. There is infidelity, money being secretly taken for the company and murder. An intriguing murder mystery with an exciting conclusion.
