Wonderful characters, great story. Great twist toward the end of the story. Very entertaining and easy to read.
She blamed everything that ever went wrong on her weight. The extreme things she did to lose could have killed her and were certainly not entertaining to me. She had a pity me life and I did not enjoy reading about it.
I quickly became bored with this book, it was like reading a diary of a person complaining about her life because of her weight. This is a condition she could change whenever she wanted to. I know I did it myself.
Well written would love a follow up
Ugh
Must read honest and timely.
Most of the time it held my interest. Fewer grammatical errors than most books.
Would not recommend. I forced myself to finish it. Kept hoping it would get better, didn’t happen.
Too real to be fiction. Too fictional to be realistic. I don’t want to read about someone who has to get drunk to have sex. Every. Time.
Clair is a fun and funny character. I would suspect many, if not most, can relate to her very “real” struggles as she navigates a new future for herself.
For anyone who has ever had a body image problem, this book will hit home.
Already reviewed it.
Fat Girl by K.L. Montgomery is a thoughtful, sharp-witted novel with multi-dimensional characters and an extremely believable premise. What can I say about our heroine, Claire? I found myself alternately loving her, empathizing with her, getting frustrated with her, wanting to hug her, wanting to smack her…you get the idea. I loved the tone of this novel and appreciated how Intensely Personal (you’ll understand the caps once you read it) it felt. Kudos to K.L. Montgomery on this truly enjoyable and heartfelt novel!
P.S. I hate Jeremy.
I liked it, but I didn’t love it. It took too long to reach a resolution.
A book a lot of women can relate to. The journey to love your self / body.
Really enjoyed this….
Boring. Stopped reading.
Loved it
Another overweight yet humorous female. At least she wasn’t left a B&B from an aunt she never knew….getting to be old hat plot. Best friend is gay….overdone, too. However, fun to read .
Sto per reading after first few chapters
