A meaningless tryst with a younger man. A one night stand on the anniversary of a tragedy.
That’s all he was supposed to be.
I needed him to make me forget. He asked me to give him everything.
I’m 38. He’s 26. That’s the least of our problems.
The ruthless personal assistant of a top team on the grid, I’m as Type-A as they come. I make the world go ‘round for my athletes. Then I blow off steam … I blow off steam dancing my ass off at London punk shows. There was no problem a fierce attitude and big, black boots couldn’t solve, until I met Brodie.
Icelandic driver, Brodie Lusk, skated through life for a broke F1 team with no chance of winning. Packed with potential–but holding no interest in fame, power, or money–he needed different motivation. He should have been simple, casual. Safe.
Sometimes, the safest options turn out to be the most dangerous.
Our passion could not be ignored.
My past would not stay buried.
All I wanted was one hot night with a sexy younger man.
I didn’t sign up for what came next.
Fast & Wild is Book 4 of The Fast Series. It can be read as a standalone but is best enjoyed after Book 3. This is a super steamy 100k+ romance guaranteed to get your motor turnin’…
Content Warning: This book contains discussions of drug abuse and suicide (not in main characters.)

The best in series but can totally stand on its own. Yes, the F1 racing setting is interesting. Yes, the story is different from the overdone tropes that every second romance book seems to have.
But the start of the series was a little shaky, and I almost did not continue with this author or series. Where the first book was a rough jewel, this one is a king’s treasure!
Brodi and Mila were explosive, both in and outside the bedroom. While Kat was able to make me cry with Dante and Dani’s story, I was ugly sobbing in this one. In the end, it’s so much less about the interesting setting and so much more about the human condition; our fears; the shaping from our pasts and those we interact with; and most of all about how we forge a path for ourselves that makes us happy.
It is this journey that we walk with both Brodi and Mila in equal parts, showing us that loving someone can sometimes mean stepping back, healing from hurt and the forging a new path forward.
This is a great read, well worth the emotional book hangover.

This was a great addition to the series. I love the chemistry between Mila and Brodie. I would definitely recommend this series and author.
Every girl needs a Brodie in her life, especially if only for a little while…or so you might think. This book has all the feels and puts you thru the wringer before finally putting your heart back together again. Loved it!!.

This series just keep getting better and better!!! I didn’t think anyone could replace my love for Dante and Danica but Brodie and Mila almost did. These two had a spark and while Brodie didn’t care about the age difference, Mila did. It was brought up a lot and kinda drove me crazy. Despite that fact that, her and Brodie bought out the best in each other. She has a lot going on especially with dealing with Cole and Dante, those two alone keep her busy. But meeting Brodie, she wants to spend as much time as she can with him. She also starts helping him as well. Mila is afraid to get in a relationship, she just wants fun. A past relationship went ugly and hurt her deeply. She needs to heal from it but hasn’t fully done that yet. With the help of Brodie and wanting more with him, she has to face her past and move on. There’s so much that goes in this book, it takes you on a deeper path then just guys racing on a track. We get to know what happens behind the scenes and their down time. It was great to get to know Mila and Brodie along with seeing some walls within the racing world get knocked down. This was a great book with great characters and spectacular Icelandic scenery.

I loved the first installment in this F1 series. I learned a lot about Formula 1 racing, and with this 4th book in the series, I learned even more behind the scenes dirt.
I absolutely loved Brodie! He was so laid back, but don’t let that fool you. He gave Mila a night to remember, even though she was hell-bent on using Brodie to help her forget another man – her dead fiance.
The first few chapters were so “hot” I was about to call the fire department. Once the fires of passion burned themselves out, Mila played a feisty, elusive mouse to Brodie’s raunchy (but good-natured) prowling cat. As usual, Kat Ransom’s dialogue is razor sharp, witty, and often downright funny. Ransom also took the usual older woman/younger man trope and gave it her own unique spin.
I highly recommend this very well written story about two very distinctive and strong characters who complemented each other’s differences to make a match in Formula 1 Heaven.
My thanks to BookSirens, the author and the publisher: I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this honest review voluntarily.
OMG! Brodie & Mila are polar opposites, but fit together perfectly. Their chemistry is undeniable, I mean, after having the best one night stand and breaking all your rules – how are you not going to tap that again? Every girl dreams of a guy like Brodie. They have their own issues and skeletons, but they learn to share it with one another, so they can heal and move on. I totally fell in love with them, and will be back to reread their story. Kat Ransom is quickly becoming one of my favorite sports romance authors. The way she builds not only her characters but the world in which they live is amazing. I have loved all of the books in The Fast Series and I hope that she will return to this series at a later date. Mila has always been one of my favorite characters from the series with how type A she is and how much love she has for Cole and Dante. I was happy to see that this book paralleled the time we saw in Book 3 with Dante.
Brodie and Mila could not farther from the same type of person. Mila is very type A and likes everything in order and lists. There is a reason why she is the PA for Cole and can also handle Dante’s requests at the same time. She is on top of her game but no one truly knows what is under the surface that gives her nightmares at night. Brodie is a very laid back, relaxed, takes things as they come up type of guy. He knows that he can not win in the car he runs but that is okay with him because at least he is doing what he loves. These 2 embark on a simply physical relationship because Mila is not looking for anything more. I loved how we saw Mila grow over the course of the book and let Brodie in. I love how at the end of this book not only did they get their HEA but we also see Jack get his as well. Mila and Brodie did not give up who they were for the other but truly grew with the other person. This was a very important concept in this book. That just because you fall in love doesnt mean you have to change who you are.
Thank you to booksirens and Kat Ransom for allowing me to read read this book in exchange for my honest review.
Another amazing read by Kat! I love this world she has created. You don’t have to read the previous books in the series to enjoy it but they’re interconnected standalones. Its definitely an emotionally gripping read that has my heart breaking for the heroine, Mila. Everything is told and pulled together so flawlessly.
Mila struggles to move on from her past. She meets Brodie and everything is brought to the surface. She can’t deny her attraction to Brodie, he’s a hard man to resist. I admire her strength as an independent woman and my heart clenches for the pain she’s had to ensure.
Brodie is a downright dream of a man. Smart, strong, capable, and an old soul. Age is just a number and he sees Mila for everything that she is and he’ll stop at nothing to get her.
I loved it all and everyone needs to go #oneclick this series ASAP!
This book 4 in the The Fast Series is a well-written story with very well-developed characters that evolve throughout and you get know them not the front they put out. This story has twists/turns, intrigue, chemistry, and love. This is a must read F1 story that has realistic descriptions of the sport without boring you with too many details. These characters are brought to life by this Author

This is the 4th book in this amazing series and is Brody and Mila’s story. Mila is the tough and ruthless PA to a couple of F1 drivers, and every year she lets loose for a day, and this year she has a one-night stand with Icelandic F1 driver Brody. The chemistry between these two is explosive, but will Mila let love in to be able to start the healing process in order to move on and have a new life? This is a beautifully written tale which is and emotional roller coaster, as well as heart-breaking, steamy, and wonderful story which I highly recommend for all.
I received a free copy of this book. This is the first book I have read by this author and I really enjoyed it. Racing is a big part of the characters’ lives, but not the actual story. I really like that there is a lot of self-realization for Mila because that has been important for her in the stages of her healing. Brodie is a doll that just wants his girl and a good life that includes racing. They are great together and the chemistry is awesome, especially toward the end.
This is the 4th book in this series. It can be read as a standalone but is better in order. It has drama, conflict, passion, and secrets.

Mila is looking for a no strings one night stand on the anniversary of her fiance’s suicide. She meets Brodie and they have an intense chemistry and explosive night. Mila is dealing with so many difficult situations that she can’t let her walls down to let Brodie in as a boyfriend. Brodie wants to be more than a hookup to Mila. Will the couple be able to overcome their hurts? A good read.
I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.
I love this series and to see that Mila finally got her opportunity at everything, and it was perfection. She needed good and beautiful in her life, especially after finding out about her past. Brodie was everything she never knew she needed and I fell in love with him from the very beginning.
I am usually not a fan of reverse age gap, with an older woman/younger man. But wow. Kat Ransom delivered and made me want this for myself… and I am a happily married woman. Kat embraced her age, and believed that just because she was a certain age, it didn’t mean she had to be or act a certain way. I love her so much. And Brodie. Wow. The way he talks, the way he acts. I need a Brodie in my life.
I loved Dante and Danica… but oh my goodness, I ADORE Mila and Brodie.
Four stars for this beautifully written reverse age gap that will have you crying and falling love with them in a way you never knew.
Check This Out
This is my second book by this author and I never thought that F1 books would be my thing but this author has made me a fan. These F1 guys know how to play while driving those fast cars. Ten years ago Mila sadly lost her boyfriend to suicide and every year since then she goes on a one night no strings attach deal at the Melbourne for the F1 series race. This year Brodie is the man chosen who is an underrated driver for lowly Endura team. Brodie finds out that the beautiful, feisty Mila is the PA to both famous drivers Dante and Cole. He’s bored with his life so he figures why not go along with Mila’s little romp.
Oh, but that’s just the beginning for these two. The chemistry is definitely there and there’s no stopping the outcome even though Mila is struggling with her past relationship. Brodie wants to show Mila a future and be all in.
I absolutely loved this book and was honored to have been able to read and review. It was such a phenomenal read and had amazing characters as well as an amazing story line. I just could not get enough of it and once I started reading it I could not put it down. I recommend that you read it.
