Another great one by Lori Foster!
I enjoyed this book. Lori Foster is the author of one of my favorite series The Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor. This series didn’t disappoint. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I would have started from the beginning. I followed along easy enough, but I enjoy knowing all the characters backstories.
Brand and Sahara have been doing this dance with each other for awhile. When Sahara is placed in danger, Brand steps up without admitting his feelings. I enjoyed their tango and Sahara is a mature character who doesn’t play games which were refreshing. I enjoyed Brand finding his way through all the obstacles that he puts up, so Sahara and he shouldn’t be together.
This was a nice book to get lost in. Lori Foster delivers as always.
Finally, Sahara and Brand get there turn in a sexy and suspenseful romance. Their two strong personalities are put to the test as they put the pieces to the puzzle of Sahara’s kidnapping and her brother, Scott’s alledged murder. The whole cast of Body Armor and their significant others play a role in helping with the mystery. There’s a lot of passion, loyalty and danger that you get drawn into the story. This is a great book to finish up the series.
Enjoyed the book.Plot was a little thin though
As the driving force behind Body Armor, Sahara has intrigued me from the very first book in this series! She is smart, beautiful, and driven, and she lives for her job. From the day she met Brand, she has been doggedly pursuing him to either join her as an employee or in her bed; she just can’t decide which one she wants more. Sahara is not a woman who is used to being told no, but Brand seems to the one man she cannot sway with sex appeal and a great sales pitch.
Brand is definitely interested in Sahara, but he absolutely cannot see himself working for her. He knows she is married to the job which is problem number one for him. Add in that she is altogether too bossy and pushy when he is a man who enjoys being in charge himself, and he could easily see them butting heads constantly. Of course, that could be a little bit fun too but he has bigger problems to deal with at the moment. His birth mother’s medical issues and constant demands take a lot of his time, and he has a looming decision to make about his career too. All that gets put on hold when Sahara is kidnapped by men who think she knows where her presumed- dead brother Scott may be hiding.
Despite his best intentions, Brand is pulled into the Body Armor world as he is determined to protect Sahara from danger and her own sometimes reckless decisions. She is a very capable woman who knows what she wants, but Brand is also an alpha protector to the core so they definitely clash quite a few times! The tension between them continues to build, and Brand soon finds out there is more to this intriguing woman than a spoiled wealthy girl who was handed a company on a silver platter. She doesn’t show vulnerability to anyone, but Brand and his friends have a way of breaking down her walls.
The story is fast-paced and action-packed as the whole team races to try to find out who is behind the kidnapping attempts and whether Scott is truly still alive. The author doesn’t skimp on the steam either once Sahara and Brand finally get on the same page! They have a bit of a bumpy road trying to come to an agreement that works for two strong, dominant personalities, but they find a way to make it work. I definitely enjoyed Fast Burn, and it’s a wonderful addition to a great series!
This was an amazing read!!!
I’ve always loved Sahara’s character. She’s sassy, strong, and knows a great business move when she sees one. Brand is perfect for her. She can have her vulnerable moments with him (not that she gives him much) and she can just be herself.
The twists and turns in this story had me on the edge of my seat. I think this is the first story I’ve read where I was completely torn on how I should feel about the “villain”. There was one area of the story that didn’t quite wrap up, so I’m hoping we may get at least one future book in this series that wraps it up.
A fantastic read that will draw you in and keep you there!
Another fabulous story from Lori Foster! I hope to see more in this series, or a spin off. I loved the characters in these books!!
Sahara and Brand. We’ve been watching the sparks and looks throughout the stories of the other fighters/BA body guards. He’s been fighting it. She’s been demanding it. He won’t become a BA bodyguard. He won’t work for her. He wants her and she most definitely wants him, make no bones about it.
The sexual tension runs high throughout this book. At the same time, the strain of knowing she’s in danger ratchets things up. She’s literally throwing herself at him and he’s rejecting her. Of course, he’s being gallant because she’s been through so much and she’s seeing it only as rejection; of the job and her.
The danger factor is ever present in Fast Burn and it makes the story even better. Scott, her missing brother, may be at the heart of everything. What is his role? And the attempts to get Sahara keep coming. She is a fiesty and resourceful lady. She’s also pretty set in her ways and not sure how her personality fits with Brand’s alpha man dominance. When the two finally give in to their basic, primal needs, it’s ! But it’s also more. It’s need, it’s sensual, its protective, it’s love.
I loved Fast Burn and Brand and Sahara did not disappoint. There were the moments of danger, of heat, of sweetness, of demand and respect, confusion and clarity, friendship and support, and most importantly, Love.
This MMA/Body Armor series has been fun, sexy and exciting to read.
Sahara Silver is a woman on a mission. Now if she can just get one sexy fighter to work for her and fill her bed. Sahara is convinced brother is alive she is determined to find him and prove to him she can run Body Armor. Being kidnapped because her brother didn’t pay for services rendered things are starting to get interesting? Brand is determined to keep Sahara safe and Sahara is determined to get to the bottom of her brother’s disappearance. Now can these two figure out they are perfect for each other.
I have so enjoyed this series and will miss these character.
Lori Foster is known for her strong, sexy, alpha males and her strong, smart, beautiful female characters. Fast Burn has all that plus the bonus storyline of Sahara’s brother, Scott, and his adventures.
I love in this book that the main characters, Sahara and Brand, were hot for each other but they also respect each other’s beliefs, thoughts, and dreams. They want to be together but know that working together is not the best option at this time. Together they work through what the other one is looking for in a relationship while not giving up what is important to them. In any relationship it is important for both people to compromise; Sahara and Brand prove it many times.
Fast Burn is the first book in the Body Armor series that I have read but I’d imagine that the glimpses of life that we get at the employees of Body Armor is a chance for those that have read the first books in this series to catch up and see what their favorite characters are currently up to. Having this in a book is one of my favorite things about a series and I now am excited to go back and check out their stories.
If you are a fan of alpha males, strong females, and twists and turns Fast Burn is the story for you. I recommend picking up your own copy.
Whenever I get the opportunity I like to read this author whom I have been reading for several years now. This one also fits with the kind I love to read so I plunged in to be lost for awhile. Sahara is running things until she thinks her brother turns up because of what she believes. She also wants to add another yummy to her roster of body guards so that when they do get together it will be on a different plane. Brand is one that you will want to follow closely to see what he will do. Things will also go down fast in this one with everyone having to be on their toes. You stay glued following the suspense being pulled back and forth. The heat will also sizzle but this one will turn out to be so exhilarating and fabulous.
This series of books has been adventurous and steamy. At first its the typical boss/employee relationship. But Brand has steamier intention for his relationship with Sahara. The past books shows the relationship develop. Whereas you finally see what will happen with these two in this book. You get a first hand look at the strong bond that has developed and is coming to life. The book shows adventure, mystery, and a steamy love connection all in one. I also like how in this series of books that Sahara is a strong woman that could take care of herself. The steamy chemistry with these two will explode on the pages. Lori Foster did it again with another cant stop reading book.
I hope everyone enjoys this steamy book as much as I did.
I received this book as an ARC for my honesty review.
Action, Suspense and Romance … the perfect combination.
Brand and Sahara are the bomb!!! Seriously, the heat between them alone will keep you on your toes. Then toss in the mystery of Sahara’s missing brother, the action, a man obsessed with Sahara, and you will be so intrigues that you won’t want to put the book down to.
I absolutely love how Lori wrapped up this series!
Fast Burn is book 4 in the Body Armor series.
While each can be read as a standalone, I highly suggest reading them in order.
Under Pressure (Body Armor, #1)
Hard Justice (Body Armor #2)
Close Contact (Body Armor #3)
Sahara may very well be my new favorite heroine. She’s intelligent, well spoken, runs the show with grace and strength necessary to keep her all male employees loyal to her and the company.
She’s also got a mouth on her. Her snark is one of the highlights, her back and forth with Brand was priceless, in all honesty it’s probably my second favorite thing about this book.
Then chemistry between Sahara and Brand is undeniable, it’s also the bone of contention. Sahara wants Brand but refuses to sleep with him because she wants him working for her more. He on the other hand has no plans to work for her, he’ll be happy to have her in his bed.
The rest of the guys are pretty memoreable as well (you really want to read their books) Fast Burn is an impressive addition to the series, I look forward to what comes next!
“Fast Burn” (Body Armor Book ) by Lori Foster is a fantastic read. I loved Sahara and Brand’s story. This book is a wonderful addition to the Body Armor series, packed with passion, romance, action, suspense, twists and turns, MMA fighters, entertaining characters, and more. Highly recommend to all fans of romance, MMA, and series.
As always a great book.
4.5*
Fast Burn is the sexy, suspenseful conclusion to the Body Armor series. As the saying goes, they save the best for last, and in this case I am in complete agreement! Although I’ve loved each of the books in this series, this one was probably my favorite.
Sahara has been such an interesting character throughout these books, one we really haven’t gotten to know very well, so it was great to finally get her full story. While her main focus has been on finding her brother and proving he’s not really dead, Sahara’s taken the protection agency he started and revamped and improved it. She’s ballsy, bossy, and very independent. She knows what she’s wants, and she wants Brand. He’s the fighter she just can’t convince to work for her. Brand has other things in mind when it comes to Sahara, and it has nothing to do with working for her. But when her life is put in danger, because of her presumed dead brother, Brand takes it upon himself to be her protector. As if the chemistry sizzling between the 2 wasn’t hot enough, when they’re “forced” into close quarters it threatens to combust.
What ensues is a highly entertaining story that’s packed full of adventure and mystery, with secrets revealed and deceptions exposed. As Sahara, Brand, and the rest of the Body Armor crew work to discover who is behind her kidnapping, the circumstances behind her brother’s disappearance begin to emerge, adding another layer of depth to this story.
Fast-paced, with a slow burn, I really couldn’t have asked for a better end to this book, or this series.
I loved Lori Foster’s Body Armor series!!!! I was excited to get to read Sahara’s story. I knew she always has hope for her brother to come back and take back his company. So she pushes through and becomes successful with not only recruiting the best she can get for her body guards, but they have to be sexy! I tell you, I do not mind that one bit! I need her phone number, you know just in case I need someone protecting my body lol.
Brand is a whole new character that Sahara has her sights on. She definitely thinks he is the perfect fit for Body Armor. He just has one more fight left, but no matter what keeps declining the offer. When things become personal, the heat between these two flourish. I love the sexiness level Lori brings to the book. Brand and Sahara are added to my list for favorite couples. That said, they had to work on their relationship. Emotions came up and down.
I enjoyed spending time with the characters from the previous books to this series. Fast Burn has you glued to each page and anticipating every word that comes next.
Finally! We have a heroine who is strong, independent, and definitely able to take on an alpha male and not be left behind. Sahara inherited Body Armor when her brother turned up missing and presumed dead and she has made several changes including adding MMA fighters as bodyguards and her latest conquest is Brand, though he has been resistant at every turn. This book starts out with Sahara being kidnapped by men who insist her brother owe them money and this is just the wake up call Brand needs. Does he want to join the agency? Not necessarily but he definitely is going to get Sahara back and that he does and once he has her back he is not letting her out of his grasp. Watching these two come together was inspiring and so much FUN. I could not turn the pages fast enough! This was the best way to end this series (even though I hate to see it end) but watching Brand and Sahara find their way was worth every single minute, every single gasp, every single page. I definitely recommend this one!
After the death of her brother, Sarhara takes over Body Armor, her brother’s business. Brand is a MMA fighter and is being chased by Sahara. She wants him as one of her bodyguards and in his bed. When she gets kidnapped, the guys from Body Armor set out to rescue her. After they get her back, the danger isn’t over so Brand becomes her bodyguard. As they figure out what’s going on, they also can’t keep their hands off each other. This is my absolute favorite book in a long time and honestly I’ve rad some good ones lately. It’s sexy, funny, action packed, and full of hunky men. I could not stop reading it. I loved Sahara, she strong, intelligent, beautiful and independent. Brand is sexy, cave manish, and a protector. It felt like I was right there with them. * Voluntarily read and reviewed for netgalley *
