Family means everything to this tattooed bad boy—good thing since he’s about to start his own.I wanted her the first time I laid eyes on her. But what starts as a fun time, quickly gets serious when the stick turns pink a month later. My life is already chaos with my recently paroled father popping up and the usual drama at the family business building custom motorcycles. Plus our reality show … motorcycles. Plus our reality show just got picked up for a full season.
But it really hits the fan when I discover that the new woman in my life is the daughter of the President of the West Coast Kings, the baddest motorcycle club in Sactown—and our biggest client. Think he’ll like being called Grandpa?
Life just got hella complicated.
A standalone book in the Burns Brothers series

Three months ago Ryan and Hope met at a party at the local motorcycle club. He walked away but never forgot about her. Now they run into each other again at another party and can’t deny their attraction so they take their fun back to her place. Where their fun ends up giving them more than they bargained for when the condom breaks. Oops.
I really enjoyed this one. Ryan and Hope were both very likeable characters. I adored how Ryan wanted more from Hope, baby or no baby. He was such a sweet and caring guy. He doesn’t seem to fit in with his brothers at all and I have to say I really liked that aspect of him. Hope’s relationship/story with her mom seemed to bounce all over the place and it confused me. Either she was an absent mother or she was always there for you and you always felt the love. Seemed like this changed for the narrative of the situation. But as I said I really liked Hope and how her story played out. This was a good one.
I really disliked Ryan and his behavior in the first book of this series, but he definitely caught and clue and grew up! He and Hope were perfect for each other and I can’t wait to see what comes next.
Ryan Burns and his family have had a rough go in life until they banded together and started up their own business. Every family comes with issues but this one has some that still linger, and Ryan is usually the hot head of the group until he finds something to be better for. Not meaning to fall into bed with someone associated with the King’s MC who does business with Ryan’s family and are ruthless, Ryan can’t help but be attracted to Hope. One night together and they are entangled in each other’s lives permanently. With so many outside forces trying to pull them in so many directions can they fight back for what they want or will they let the deeds of others tear them apart? With so many ups and down and the odds stacked against them can they make it? I loved Ryan and this family but in this book, I found myself getting annoyed at the boys because it seemed they were willing to turn on each other or Hope at the drop of a hat but then they would always rally back together. Can’t wait to see what happens next!
Things definitely take off fast in Ryan & Hope’s story. They have an instant connection & an instant “oopsie” and are instantly put in positions they weren’t expecting! I wasn’t terribly keen about the beginning – they kept calling it a one-night stand even tho they both really wanted more. There were some miscommunications that were annoying at the same time endearing… And when they do start communicating openly, I absolutely love that there aren’t any games or pretenses, just two ppl exploring their relationship.
I enjoyed getting to know Ryan & Hope (sidebar: anyone else think of the old soap opera Ryan’s Hope there? Just me? Sorry, carry on!). I also enjoyed getting to know the Burns family more, seeing Austin & Rachel living their HEA w/ young Wyatt, and Austin being a good father to him.
The OMH moment was done really well & I LOVED the way Hope handles the situation once she finds out what happened. And the swoony HEA – awww! Looking forward to reading Sabrina’s story, too!!
: )
FAST is the second book in the Burns Brothers series by Gillian Archer.
Both leads, Ryan and Hope both come from broken homes, for very different reasons, but both are struggling to find their way and work out where they belong.
Although they seem to connect the first time they meet, it’s the second time they get together that the spark takes.
An unplanned pregnancy, parents who aren’t quite what or who they appear to be, family who can’t keep their thoughts or comments to themselves…. there was a fair amount of stuff going on that could have impacted any kind of future Hope & Ryan might have.
This was a really good read. There were a couple of angst moments and once or twice I wished that the pair would have spoken and been a little clearer on what they meant, especially when it came to their feelings and intentions but it was good to see their relationship develop over time.
This book gave a little more insight into the brothers, their relationship and their issues and I’m looking forward o finding out more about that as the series continues.
So I don’t really remember the first book in this series but I remembered that I enjoyed it and had every intention in reading the next one but my TBR got in the way. Then I saw the sign up for the third book and figured I better get to it since I was intrigued by the sound of that one. So I jumped on in feet first without reading the blurb and remembered the basics of the story line.
So each of these can be read as a stand alone but obviously since they are brothers and they all work together they are also somewhat interconnected. And although it vaguely came back to me I did read it as a standalone and enjoyed it.
Ryan was the younger middle brother in this dysfunctional family. He felt like he wasn’t sure of his place in the family or the world. But I really liked him. He was so intrigued with Hope from the first time he saw her but not knowing where she stood in the club he kept away. And I think the fact that he had such a solid moral compass and even though he was all about doing the right thing he wasn’t ruled by it. He wanted to be the best version of himself for the people he loved and it just made me value him more.
Hope was a sweetheart through and through. She felt the connection between her and Ryan and she went after it. And I loved that she didn’t have any stupid doubts or play any games. She just said what she was thinking and talked through her concerns and she did everything she had to do without any additional drama. She was one of those characters that you just immediately like and would be friends with if she popped up in real life.
The two of them together were so sweet and when the natural drama occurred it all was so perfectly written that I just knew it was going to all be ok in the end. Because there was no way Ryan was going to let it be any other way. I am so glad I read this book and I really can’t wait to see all of the brothers and Sabrina find their HEA’s. God knows they deserve it.
Fast by Gillian Archer is book Two in the Burns Brothers Series. This is the story of Hope and Ryan. I have read the previous book, which added to my enjoyment of this one but I did think it could be a standalone book if you wish to do so. Hope and Ryan hook up for one night but that of course ends up being more especially when she finds out she is going to have a baby. Hope is the daughter of the President of the West Coast Kings. Although she is new to her father and his MC club it doesn’t stop him from being upset with her for being with Ryan. Ryan and his family owns Badass Builds which builds bikes and have recently became reality stars. Of course the Wes Coast King MC is one of their best customers. Ryan was a sweet caring hero who wanted to do the right thing as did Hope but of course their road wasn’t a easy one.
I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review.
When the Burns brothers deliver a bike they finished to the West Coast Kings, Ryan sees the girl again that has him feeling things he never thought he would feel so soon in life. After a night together his world is about to change.
Hope knew Ryan from the show he and his brothers were on TV. Even though she was fangirling a little, she really liked him for the person he was. And after a night together he was even more of the perfect man.
A month later Hope finds out she is pregnant and Ryan is right there by her side. He wants to be there for every doctor’s appointment and everything she goes through. She never expected this tattooed bad boy to stick by her. But when her father finds out he goes crazy.
Will Rayn or Hope convince her father they are in this together? Will Ryan’s brothers accept her? What happens when Ryan’s father is released from prison?
I really like this series but I think Ryan and Hope are my favorites so far, they are the perfect couple. It is a sweet, sexy and brutally painful story with a HEA. Author Gillian Archer has a way with bad boys and the women who tame them. So grab this series and enjoy it.

Wow and I thought Austin’s book was good.
We have Ryan and Hope they meet in Austin’s book and this is their story.
When their one night ends with a torn condom their lives are changed for the better but her MC President dad is not happy and that could take it all away
This book was good but there was some weird drama. I had high hopes but everything that happened with hopes father was weird drama. I would read another book by this author but I just think this one I just didn’t love.
So I loved the first book of this story and was then a little bit disappointed with this one. After one-nightstand Hope is pregnant with Rayan. Rayan is very supportive and he tries to start a real relationship with Hope. The one problem that lingers is that Hope is the daughter vom local MC. I didn’t feel the story, there was so little interesting happening. A little bit of romance, a repetitive of the past from both Hope and Rayan. What it was good to see was how Rayan changes from aggressive young man to someone more responsible, stable. From my side, there were a little bit of WTF moments like the reason why Hope doesn’t take the pill morning after, some of her pregnancy thing, and especially I didn’t understand the way father of Hope reacted. I hope that the third book will be another great one.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for NetGalley
While I have read the True Brothers series, somehow I missed BUILD, the first in the Burns Brothers Series, however, there was enough back story to follow this book easily. The Burns Brothers mere raised by their aunt after their father murdered their mother. However, many years later, their father is paroled. The brothers have a motorcycle building and repair business, Badass Builds, begun by the oldest brother, Austin, to support the family. They also have their own reality tv series. Ryan is brother number three. He first spots Hope at the West Coast Kings MC Club, hanging with the President and their client T-Bone. She is star struck. Three months later they meet again. A one night stand is on Hope’s bucket list, but she hadn’t realized how nice Ryan is. Despite a broken condom, he would like to explore a relationship, but miscommunications almost doom them.
Appealing characters, interesting dysfunctional family dynamics and snappy dialogue make this an entertaining read. I received a free ARC from NetGalley.com. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
Ryan and Hope have a hot one night stand and when he finds out that her father is the president of the local 1% MC means that maybe this wasn’t such a good thing. As they weave through the mess that is their lives. I love this wild Burns family and all their craziness. I can’t wait to read more of this series as I have fallen in love with all the characters; good and bad. I highly recommend this book and this author.
I don’t request many ARCs anymore and it’s even rarer for me to put my hand up for one from a new to me author. But, I’ve heard so much good stuff about Gillian Archer that it caught my attention. Plus, it had a biker and an unexpected baby so I just couldn’t pass it up. Thank goodness my gamble paid off as I ended up enjoying reading it.
There were a couple elements of the book that could have spelled disaster for me. I tend to avoid new adult books and this couple was firmly in that category. I ended up getting caught up in their reactions both to each other and the fact that they got pregnant. As young as they were, nothing was glossed over when it came to their situation and I loved it. How they stumbled and stammered their way through their predicament brought out all the feels for me.
To say their families were dysfunctional is an understatement, especially Ryan’s. Half the time you didn’t know if he was going to hug it out or slug it out with his brothers. His determination to do the right thing had my heart going all pitter patter and oohing and awing over just how freaking adorable he was. And Hope was perfect for him.
As for Hope, she was naïve and completely out of her element when it came to her father. I think an opportunity was missed by not giving us some of the beginning where she found her dad so we could understand how she ended up in the situation she found herself in. As much as I liked her, and I really did, I just had a hard time figuring out how a girl who seemed to have such a good head on her shoulders got roped into that whole mess.
Despite that, I was thoroughly enjoying the story, the characters and the plot but when we hit the big finale we’d slowly been lead up to, things fell a bit flat for me. View Spoiler »
That one last section knocked my rating from a five star read to a four star one. That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed almost everything about this book, including the side characters and I can’t wait to read more about Ryan and his brothers. .
Rating: 4 Stars
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
This is the second book in the Burns Brothers Series. The Series continues with Ryan and Hope’s story. Hope is a wonderful character. Ryan is strong and protective. They share an instant attraction / love, and a strong chemistry. The reality tv show is a fun idea. I like the Epilogue. The family spirit and the brotherhood are amazing in this Series. I enjoyed reading this story. Now, I would love to read more about the other brothers, Nathan and Dylan.
Having read the first one I had to get into this one having her style taking me into their worlds.
She takes us on a fast pace right away in this one going in deep. Drama can also crop up and go deep as it so happens in this.
Ryan and Hope capture our attention with their relationship and the entanglements that come with it. These two are very personable right away so you have no trouble getting caught up. There is one though that you would not mind seeing sent packing but it is all in the mix lol. Heightened drama carries you through with you riding it all the way to the end to see where they land.
Loving Ryan!!
How can you not love a guy who stands by the woman who is having his baby?! Sure they met at a biker clubhouse since Ryan and his brothers build specialty bikes for some of the club members even the Prez, T-Bone. His eyes drew to her even though she was by T-Bone which should scare anyone away. Hope had those same eyes for Ryan along with fangirling on the famous reality star. Well, all it took was one night of stepping out on the wild side for Hope and the little stick turned pink.
This was just the beginning for the couple especially with T-Bone shaming his daughter and having Ryan as his target. Insta romance at its best. We finally have a “good” guy in Ryan whose attention is only on Hope and their baby…even with all the family drama surrounding them.
Fast is the second book in Gillian Archer’s Burns Brothers series and is a sexy as all get out pregnant by the bad boy story. There’s just something about a dysfunctional family of goodhearted people that makes for good drama. Rich character back stories, a delectable connection between Ryan and Hope and trouble over every horizon!
Ryan Burns has always been a hot head, but he’s taken steps to change for the better. When he meets Hope, it’s an instant sizzle when he least expects it and he steps up to be the man he’s always wanted to be when they learn a baby is on the way.
Hope Stephens has been looking for the family that she always dreamed of, and she’s found it in Ryan. He will stop at nothing to convince her that he’s in this thing for the long haul. Not just because of the baby, but because of her.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys watching a tough guy fall like a ton of bricks when he meets his soulmate. The family backdrop is rich with strife, but always solid in their support of each other. The passion is super steamy and sure to make you squirm. You simply can’t go wrong with this series, and I’m so looking forward to the next book!
If you haven’t figured it out already this is definitely an adult story. The language was filled with a whole lot of “F’s” which I didn’t really enjoy all that much. So I had to skim over that as best as I could. Yes, I guess I should have expected some of that but still…
Both Hope and Ryan each share their P.O.V.’s which was good. However, maybe I am too old for this story. Because Hope’s naivety was so strong that it almost made my back teeth ache. She’s a nice enough girl with a few problems before this deal of getting pregnant. I did begin to like her better although it didn’t feel like her character ever really got that deep.
Hope and Ryan also had their moments of being awkward with each other. Let’s face it they were attracted to each other but didn’t really know each other either.
Ryan was a whole lot more interesting person. Even with some of his wild ways he was a whole lot mature than Hope. Of course seeing how he grew up, he had to grow up fast. It was good to see that his Aunt Wendy and his oldest brother was there to hep him when he was young. There is a lot of friction between his brother and himself though and Ryan was tired of being seen as the screw up.
Yes, daddy dearest is one huge problem looking for a place to explode. Ryan sees that crystal clear but his youngest brother Dylan is getting pulled in. Both Ryan and Dylan were too young to remember their father but Ryan knew enough about people to get his dad’s number.
The secondary people in the story are good ones and that includes both Hope and Ryan’s families.
Things hit the fan in an unexpected way towards the end but the conclusion was a good one. Things are dealt with all except what to do about Ryan’s dad, who I think of as “Daddy Dearest”. I’m thinking that will probably happen in another book.
“I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.”
I’ve come to expect a great story from this author and this book exceeded my expectations. This book is happy, sad and full of surprises all at the same time. Ryan is a total hothead and has a temper that rivals anybody. He knows it gets away from him sometimes and he tries to reign it in but with his background it’s hard sometimes. Ryan and his brothers build custom bikes and star in a reality TV show based on that. While delivering a custom bike to the president of an MC, T-Bone, Hope catches Ryans eye. She has to escape the watchful eyes of her father to spend a night of passion with Ryan. But they are night together has consequences the kind that has a little stick turning pink. What will they do now that they have someone else to consider? I can’t wait for more of the Burns brothers to get their story!!
