Four women… Four very different paths. One incredibly cutthroat world. Welcome to the Jungle. As America’s sweetheart, Brittany is perceived as the “good girl.” The sort to bring her Bible to a photoshoot… only to garner the attention of a most unlikely suitor. Until one mistake irrevocably changes both of their lives forever. Fortunately, both now and then, Brittany has wonderful support … wonderful support systems, including her tribe.
The leader of the tribe and a model who’s fought every battle and obstacle in the industry, Zoe, knows her worth. Until a sex tape scandal rocks her world. She sees no choice but to put her trust in the one man she shouldn’t, to make it all go away and help her succeed. Unfortunately, not only is he mired in New York’s underbelly, he wants repayment… with interest. Namely, her hand in marriage.
Despite her seemingly perfect life, Everlee has problems of her own. Not only has her world-renowned photographer husband been cheating, but it’s actually much worse than that. The things surrounding what he’s done are so dark and dangerous, Everlee’s life may actually be in jeopardy.
And then there’s Danica, cold, dead in the ground Danica. Some secrets stay hidden while others are just waiting to be discovered- hers has the power to alter the industry forever.
In the world of the Fashion Jungle, it’s easily eat or be eaten… but, if you make it out alive, you just might have a story to tell – though it will likely be one of secrets, lies, deceit, and loss.
Strap on your stilettos, it’s about to get wild.
Based on true stories and events.

I went into this book completely blind. I had no clue what to expect but I am a fan of RVD so I am like what the heck. The beginning of the book lays the foundation of the characters in the book. All the characters lives are intertwined with one another and the fashion industry in some way. I am not familiar with the life of models or the fashion industry so I really enjoyed how this book gave me insight. I loved the character. On the outside one would think models have it all but it was refreshing to see the struggles that the characters were dealing with. This book had it all jealousy, secrets, lies, and betrayal. There was definitely enough drama to keep the reader engaged. The different perspectives that we get in the book is another great benefit. This book is so different for me but I enjoyed it. If you are looking for a book that is outside of the box, that takes you on a journey this is the book to read.
An edgy, riveting, and rare glimpse into the dark side of the fashion industry. I see this as an incredible cautionary tale for women everywhere.
Completely blown away!! I wasn’t sure how I would feel about a book related to fashion but I was hooked in the first 5 minutes. I love the feeling of sisterhood between the 4 friends and the different perspectives from each was great. The romances for each is wonderful but the backstage view of the fashion was both amazing and eye opening. With all the twists and turns – I could not put it down . This is definitely a one-click buy book for sure!
How can you NOT read this book?!? I mean what did I just read?! Devil Wears Prada meets Sex in the City meets soap opera drama! Loved everything about this book! There was all aspects of drama, jealousy, struggles, growth, love. This story was told in multiple POV’s. Each girl is going through their own issues personally and professionally. The fact that these are all things that have happened… just mind blowing.
Great read that I didn’t want to put down and that I was not expecting. Rachel Van Dyken, with the help of Kathy Ireland, did a fantastic job portraying their stories to us!
One last thing is the only quote that I can remember because it was that big for this book… “Because that was the dream. Look past the face. See the woman beneath.”
Wow! That is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Fashion Jungle! After reading the blurb for this book I just knew it was going to be absolutely amazing. And it 100% was. It’s crazy to think it’s based off of real life events. I generally don’t like books that are told from multiple peoples POV, but I just couldn’t put this one down!
This book was so complex and so amazing at the same time. This book would be a great tool for young women who have dreams of being in the fashion industry. Also this is a really good reminder that just because someone’s life looks amazing and flawless doesn’t mean they don’t have their demons.
I really enjoyed this book so much!!
I admit, it took me awhile to get into this book. It alternates between several different POVs, and it took a a bit to get a feel for the characters and to more easily follow along. Having said that, once I got into the groove, I really started to appreciate it all. There is a lot of mystery. Each of the girls (and one man) had secrets (from each other as well as from the readers.) These were slowly revealed as the stories moved along. The girls each have a demon they are facing and one man who they trust to help in any way they need. There are the good guys and there are the bad guys. You will love the good ones and loathe the bad. While there are some scenes with sexual content, none is graphically described or played out on the pages. It is mostly alluded to. The stories are heartbreaking for the most part, but we do see the light. It’s written in a way that we get four different stories that all come together in the grand finale. There are several circumstances and events that take place that may be triggers for some readers. This is not, necessarily a dark read, but it does have a heavier feel to it. Not a light-hearted feel good kind of book.
*I received an ARC of this book from Netgalley.
RVD and Kathy Ireland are quite the duo in this fast paced, over the top book about the fashion world. These two took real-life situations and people and created a romance that was out of this world.
RVD will forever have a obsessed fan with me. Her writing exceeds many authors I’ve read. Her words flow effortlessly on the page, and added with Kathy Ireland – get ready!!!
These characters become part of you. It addresses some topics that weren’t made aware back when some of this took place. It is not YM for the faint of heart and definitely has RVD’s darkness added to it. Posting anymore would ruin it for you so one click it and start TODAY!!
I was so excited to read this book. The thought of a story that takes place in the fashion world sounded beyond amazing. This story was a total rollercoaster of emotion from start to finish. For me, this story had it all. It’s love. It’s mystery. It’s about women. I loved getting lost in a story that made me want to find out more about fashion. But then there were times I was like…no, I’m good. Just kidding.
I loved how seamlessly this story flowed. Kathy and Rachel did an amazing job. I honestly couldn’t tell where the one ended and the other started. That’s important for me when I read collaboration books. If I can tell, then I’m less likely to finish the book. I had no problem with that with Fashion Jungle.
This story is compelling and raw. You find that what you once thought would be a dream job and life really isn’t. This book was fun to read. Fashion Jungle is the book I didn’t know I needed to read, but it made me fall in love. I hope to see these two amazing women write another book together. This book was fun to read and I hope you will check it out.
5 Stars
Omg, wow, what a read!
I’ve been so excited for Fashion Jungle to release and it didn’t disappoint. I loved that it was fiction but based on true events. It’s amazing reading how the world can be out there and the things these girls go through for fame. I’m not usually a fan of POV stories and it being in 4 POV I struggled a little bit overall I really enjoyed it still. I was able to keep up with it all.
Rachel and KATHY you have done an amazing job with book!
This book follows four women in the fashion industry—their careers, relationships, families, and most importantly, friendships.
Fashion Jungle takes us deep inside the fast-paced world of the fashion industry. While it is intriguing that this book is based on true stories and events, it’s also sad how ugly an industry in which beauty is everything can be. It’s full of drama, suspense, secrets, and lies.
This book is like Sex and the City by Candace Bushnell, Four Blondes by Candace Bushnell, and The Devil Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger all rolled into one. I loved how strong all the female characters were and how deep their friendship was. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Fashion Jungle is contemporary romance written in mutiple first-person POV’s. It’s a standalone that ends with a HEA. No cliffhanger.
I received this book at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.
Being a huge fashion fan (d’uh) I loved this book. It reminded me of the 90’s show Models Inc but of course this is based on Ireland’s actual events!
I had to sit with my thoughts after finishing my trip into the jungle. I’ve been waiting for this release since I first heard about it! So let me just say that what Kathy Ireland and RVD created here is raw, real, brave and oh so riveting! Just beautifully written! This was a wonderful romance with that great thrill ride included as you try to figure out what everyone is hiding!
I loved how you got four points of view. Initially I wasn’t sure how it would go, but man it worked so so well! This may be a story centered around a group of four women, but the men in their lives were no less multi-faceted. I was immediately captivated by Drew, a pivotal character and whose point of view was oh so fascinating!
Brittany, Everlee, Zoe and Danica. These four women, they were such a dichotomy of beauty, brains and strength. The friendship between them spanned so much and the loyalty to each other was everything. For all the strength they possessed, they also had so many insecurities and were living with secrets that haunted them. And oh the secrets! So many secrets that wove there way thru this tale. I couldn’t stop reading and couldn’t stop trying to figure out who each character was based upon!
This tale of survival, friendship, grief, revenge and love wrapped its way around my heart! I’m so glad that Kathy found Rachel to tell this tale! It definitely shows the grit of the fashion world and of life, that not everything that looks beautiful is on the flip side. But that if you hold on to your beliefs and fight for what is real you can find love and happiness. Absolutely amazing read!!
Fashion Jungle is a cutthroat look at the world of fashion! This book will keep you on the edge of your seat with suspense, drama and romance. I’m incredibly blown away by and can’t wait to read it all over again. I could NOT put this book down once I started it, and I’m not ashamed to admit that I even ugly cried at one point. Such a tragic and beautifully woven tales of love, loss and lies. This is my top recommended book of 2020 so far, and it’ll be hard to beat! Such a powerhouse duo of talented writers, I’m still reeling even days later. **Fair warning: It could contain some triggers for some (it did for me), so just be aware going in.
Wow, this is quite a powerful read. Fashion Jungle by Kathy Ireland and Rachel Van Dyken left me breathless at times, and like Joey from friends, I wanted to put the book into the freezer during the unsettling parts. The world of fashion is a wild roller coaster ride, replete with in-house secrets, scandals, and super talented women.
This book focuses on four women: Brittany, Zoe, Everlee and Danica. They were discovered as teenagers and became the best of friends, as well as very successful models. They met many people along their journey and more than a few chipped away at their trust, integrity and quest for happiness. Furthermore, Danica’s needless and tragic death forever changed them and the men in their lives.
Fashion Jungle is quite a page turner. I am typically not a romantic suspense fan, but this book was so well-written that I could not put it down. This story is chock full of intrigue, unique relationships, and three characters that I loved getting to know. The authors poured passion into their writing and as a result, their characters are well-developed and full of intensity. If you are in the mood for a suspenseful romance with a lot of heart and emotion, then this book is for you.

“Strap on your stilettos, it’s about to get wild.”
Wild read, indeed. This story involves strong women, who have a special bond created by navigating the intense world of fashion. I really appreciated how determined and committed they are to each other and also to their priorities, even if it’s hard at times. This book delivers all the right things – suspense, romance, and intrigue. It’s real and raw and overwhelmingly powerful. I was left breathless after reading the last word, and the events gave me chills in the best way. This is definitely a story that will stay with me for a while. Highly recommend!
I have read a ton of Rachel’s books and was excited to start this one. Once I started I couldn’t put it down. The book hooks you from the very beginning. I don’t want to go into to much detail because I don’t want to give anything away but the friendship these women have with each other and their journey through the whole book was amazing. I liked how there was an overall theme but that each character had their own storyline as well. There were a few twists that I saw coming but then once it would happen something else I was not expecting would pop up and my jaw would drop. My only problem in the beginning of the book was keep everyone straight. There were a lot of character that were introduced at once so it took me a couple of chapters to remember who that character was in relation to everyone else. This will be a book that I reread over and over again.
Rachel Van Dyken is one of my all time favorite authors and I can remember seeing Kathy Ireland on TV and in magazines! Needless to say I was thrilled to receive an ARC of Fashion Jungle and these wonderful ladies did not disappoint!
As I began this novel I was immediately pulled in by the story of 4 young girls trying to make it in the fashion industry. I loved how they bonded, becoming more than best friends but sisters. When one of them goes missing it changes all their lives forever .
It was very eye opening to see what happens behind the lights, cameras and runways. Everything is not always as it appears in pictures or commercial.
This story is filled with suspense, drama, friendship and facing your fears. Kathy and Rachel truly delivered a masterful book that will leave you stunned and cheering at the end!
I highly recommend this book and praise Rachel Van Dyken and Kathy Ireland for an intense and highly thought provoking book!
Let me just start by saying that this is not my normal read. That being said, if Rachel Van Dyken is writing, I am reading. It is different from her other work and I loved it. Kathy and Rachel really hit this story out of the park.
I was sucked in from the beginning and was glued to the pages. I kept questioning who these characters were throughout the entire story. I loved the mystery and intrigue and I loved the development of all the different characters. It could have very well become convoluted with all the different point of views, but it wasn’t at all. I definitely hope to see more from these two working together.
Just WOW! I didn’t think I was going to like this because the fashion world just isn’t my thing, but I was so wrong. The characters are so well written, I was trying to figure out who they were in real life. You know that with Kathy Ireland co-writing this book with Rachel Van Dyken, these stories have some truth behind them. The ups and downs, twists and turns had me want more and more.
