Four women… Four very different paths. One incredibly cutthroat world. Welcome to the Jungle. As America’s sweetheart, Brittany is perceived as the “good girl.” The sort to bring her Bible to a photoshoot… only to garner the attention of a most unlikely suitor. Until one mistake irrevocably changes both of their lives forever. Fortunately, both now and then, Brittany has wonderful support … wonderful support systems, including her tribe.
The leader of the tribe and a model who’s fought every battle and obstacle in the industry, Zoe, knows her worth. Until a sex tape scandal rocks her world. She sees no choice but to put her trust in the one man she shouldn’t, to make it all go away and help her succeed. Unfortunately, not only is he mired in New York’s underbelly, he wants repayment… with interest. Namely, her hand in marriage.
Despite her seemingly perfect life, Everlee has problems of her own. Not only has her world-renowned photographer husband been cheating, but it’s actually much worse than that. The things surrounding what he’s done are so dark and dangerous, Everlee’s life may actually be in jeopardy.
And then there’s Danica, cold, dead in the ground Danica. Some secrets stay hidden while others are just waiting to be discovered- hers has the power to alter the industry forever.
In the world of the Fashion Jungle, it’s easily eat or be eaten… but, if you make it out alive, you just might have a story to tell – though it will likely be one of secrets, lies, deceit, and loss.

A fast paced, intense, emotional look inside the fashion industry. An absolute roller coaster of a ride!
“Love is ugly, it’s painful, it’s full of sorrow, long days, terror-filled nights. Love asks for everything and nothing all at once.”
Confession, I chose to read this book because I’m a Rachel Van Dyken fan. I saw the cover and read the title and thought I was gonna get another dose of her sass and humor. I was expecting girls’ nights and laughter. What I got was pain and passion and secrets and suspense. I loved it!
Yes, I know the story is focused on the four girls on the cover. They are all models and holding on to each other as they fight to survive in the Fashion Jungle. But, I have to say, Dane was it for me. He is just…everything. He’s alpha and sexy and bossy and badass. He’s also sweet and protective and thoughtful and giving. Don’t tell anyone though, cuz you know he’s got a reputation, one that has grown men shaking in their boots. Oh yeah, and he’s also the brother of Danica, who died and left a big hole in all of their lives.
I really enjoyed diving into the fray and learning all of their secrets. The story is told in multiple POV’s and sometimes knowing a secret that hasn’t been shared with the others was enough to have me biting my lip and my nails. I got so caught up and invested in their lives, anticipating what was coming, hoping one minute and worried the next. It was an emotional roller coaster that I didn’t want to get off of. Well done ladies, thanks for taking me to the jungle.

Reads like a front row seat to Fashion Week. Effortlessly capturing the glamour and energy of Manhattan with just enough twists to keep the pages turning.
Rachel and Kathy make a great team.
Not going to lie this book really tore me up. So much pain with everyone
I’m not going to lie. I wasn’t sure if I’d like this book. I’m not big into fashion. But this book wasn’t only about fashion! It was four stories in one! It has mystery, it has romance, it has feels. This book made me tear up in a couple places.
If you’re debating on whether or not you’ll be interested in this book don’t debate. Pick it up and read it. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised like I was!!! This book is definitely one of the best books I’ve read in over a year!!!
I loved reading about Brittany, Ronan, Oliver, Zoe and Everlee! I loved their connection. I would love to read more about all these characters!!!
What a dynamic writing duo!
This story tells the tale of four best friends, fashion models who fight to make themselves stars and supermodels. This story tells of the highs and lows of being a part of the world of beautiful people and ugly secrets. This story tells a tale of how each girl overcame their own individual hurdles and tragedies to become both beautiful and strong, inside and out.
This story is rich in visuals, I could “see” the streets of New York City, the runways of Fashion Week and the gritty apartments that housed the new girls. I could “see” the beauty in each character’s face and the beautiful clothes that they wore.
You are going to get all the feels with this story. I was excited about the girls’ successes, I was angry at the things and circumstances that were forced upon them at such young ages and I cried when I felt the loss, loss of their innocence, loss of their families and loss of the people they loved. I wept and I cheered.
The flow of this story and interweaving of all the main characters storylines was smooth and just beautifully done. You can tell that both Ms. Ireland and Ms. Van Dyken worked together tirelessly to make this an amazing story.
If you are looking for a beautiful story of strength in faith, friendship and survival look no further than this! So well done ladies, I tip my proverbial hat to you both!
A good read. It took me over half of the book to really get into it. It’s written in each characters POV. Knowing that it was based on true events kept me flipping the pages. There were times it got a little wordy. A mystery ensues and the stories are told. I enjoyed the second half way more than the first.
I love RVD and it was pretty awesome to read Kathy Ireland for the first time.
Thank you to Net Galley for a free advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest and voluntary review.
Can I give it more than five stars? This book is fantastic! I loved how there were so many points of view. We are able to view the lives of four different people. They are all linked because of a binding friendship, but what each person is thinking and going through is so cool! I felt like I was right there with the girls and Dane. I my heart aches for them all! They all experience the same tragedy and a couple of the them even have more heartache than the others. This book brings you into the modeling world. I feel like I have a better understanding of what really does go on behind the doors for the models. Is it all that fame and glory that we see? When you read this book you’ll find that some things just are not as we think. Dane watches over the girls and is also trying to solve a mystery. I can’t stop thinking about this book. It just made me feel so many emotions and it is ingrained in my brain. Kathy and Rachel did a fabulous job co-writing this book together. I can definitely see what each author contributes. Do not wait, go get this book as soon as you can. It is absolutely amazing!!!
WOW! I for one am super glad I read this story. Definitely wasn’t what I was expecting but in the best of ways. Super twisty. Just when I thought I had things figured out I was wrong. Definitely a book I recommend if you’re wanting something not over the top hot and steamy but suspenseful and extremely well written. The characters were all strong fierce women. I admired their strength and courage. I never thought about the “modeling world” being so crazy. I loved it!
I was so blessed to receive an eARC of Fashion Jungle and I was soooo excited to read this book! I knew it was going to be phenomenal and it was even more than I could’ve imagined. Read on for my honest review!
5 ’s
If a 10 star rating was a thing Fashion Jungle would have it! Whatever expectations or impressions you have for this book throw them away! Fashion jungle will exceed all of your expectations and isn’t something you can imagine. It’s a romance, coming of age, second chance, mystery, and suspense novel rolled up into a raw, realistic, crazy beautiful package!
I’m not going to lie, the blurb hooked me from the start. Once I read the prologue I knew 3 things. 1. I loved Dane and I would fall even more in love with him the more I read. 2. This was going to be a book that left its mark; book hangover anyone? 3. This is a book you’ll read over and over again.
I haven’t read a book that wasn’t a romance in a very long time. I was nervous but excited. I should’ve known that a book written by Kathy Ireland and Rachel Van Dyken would be able to hold my attention, scramble my brain, make me feel alllll the feelings, and leave me with an epic book hangover! You will love this book. It will make you think and feel things that will make your brain and heart hurt but you’ll love it! I hope this is just the beginning of something spectacular from these two powerhouses because I NEED MORE!!!
Fashion Jungle will leave you feeling wrecked and wanting more! You NEED THIS BOOK IN YOUR LIFE!!!
Fashion Jungle was a great read by Kathy Ireland and Rachel Van Dyken. This book follows four women on four different paths in the fashion world. Brittany has always been perceived as a “good girl”. She was a model who would bring her bible to a photo shoot. Brittany made a mistake that changed her life forever, but continues to have a great support system. Zoe has always been the leader of the group of models. A sex tape winds up rocking her world. She has to put her trust in someone she knows that she shouldn’t. He wants her repayment as her hand in marriage. Everlee’s life seems perfect on the outside but it definitely isn’t. Her husband is a photographer who has been cheating and has done some terrible things. Danica died and has many secrets to be discovered. This was a great book that is based on real life and events. This was a great read by the authors.
When you think of fashion, I always think of everything being perfect and looking good. Who would have thought the fashion world would be so ugly. Rachel Van Dyken and Kathy Ireland pulled me into this book from the first page.
This is a complex story dealing with many different characters. You get invested in one character and start a new chapter and it’s a different character. The way these authors tie everything up and connect the characters Is great.
Jungle Fashion is not your typical romance story, it was emotional and based on real life events. We follow four women on their journey in the fashion world. This book is filled with all the ups and downs and secrets and betrayals. Once I started reading this book I couldn’t stop, I was completely invested in these characters. This book was different from anything I have read in a while and that made me enjoy it that much more.
This story has a slow hook but a strong one. It took me a bit to get into the jump between stories for each of the characters but once you get comfortable, it gets interesting. Life for them can be surmise in being a compilation of secrets and pretending to have control, just for the sake of power and fame. It’s really sad for all of them, except for Dane. They call him the devil. He is the collector of secrets and favors. The one with the true power. The one that dares enough to do the wrong thing to make life right for the people he cares to protect. The story is interesting because Zoe, Everlee and Brittany are marked in life by different events (that to be honest are depressing) but if and when they are honest, they can help make each other’s life better. Stop some pretty bad people and take a second chance to enjoy life the right way with support from their friends.
What to say what to say..I tend to enjoy Rachels books, and I did follow Kathy Ireland when she was very famous, however I thought I would actually enjoy more. Not that I didn’t but I expected more. I wondered what was fiction and what wasn’t since the books is based on some actual facts and I think I tended to enjoy wondering what was what. There were 4 different views and sometimes I feel liked I missed something.. But hey you might get it and like it more than me..
rcvd an ARC at no cost to author..(netgalley) voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions.
To be honest, I didn’t even read the blurb before reading this book. I just knew Rachel Van Dyken was one of the authors and it was about fashion, and that was enough to get me to read it. Fashion Jungle ended up being way more than I possibly expected. I was sucked in from the Prologue and couldn’t get enough of Brittany, Zoe, Everlee, and especially Dane. Fashion Jungle shows the brutal side of the modeling industry that we never really hear about, and just knowing this book is based on true events is heartbreaking.
Fashion Jungle is filled with drama, mystery, romance, suspense. It’s both tragic and heartfelt, and an all around amazing read that deals with important topics.
Fashion Jungle is my top read of 2020 so far! It had me hooked from beginning to end!!! Be prepared to do nothing but read this book!!!! Yes, it is that good!!!!
There are several heroes and heroines in the book. For instance, Dane appears to be the devil, but he just might be an angel…one like I have never seen.. Roger is absolutely precious. I think the world would be a much better place if we all had a “Roger” in our lives. The true stars of the book are the four women, each is very different, but bonded in friendship.
Danica is Dane’s sister, who is dead. Her brother vows to find out the truth about her death. He doesn’t care what he has to do to find the answer. Her secrets were dark and have the power to alter the fashion industry for years to come.
Brittany is the one her friends turn to for strength. She is the “sweetheart.” Her faith has sustained her through her career and her personal life. What people don’t see is the pain and loss she has experienced just by choosing to love the wrong man.
Everlee is married to Frederick, a world-famous photographer. Their marriage is rocky, and her husband seems to grow more dark and sinister by the day. She has done a great job of hiding the nightmare her marriage has become, but her life may be in danger by the man who vowed to love and protect her.
Lastly, there is Zoe. She has worked so hard to make her dreams a reality. Dane has been her weak spot as long as she can remember. She thinks his darkness will consume her, yet she is drawn to him. Now, she has to put all her trust in him, but he has a price…marry him.
The relationship between these women is incredibly special. Without their bond throughout the years, they could have easily lost their souls to the dark side of the industry.
The duo of Kathy Ireland and Rachel Van Dyken (who is one of my all-time favorite writers) make one heck of a team. I am in awe of both of these women! It was amazing how they made Danica such a central character even though she has passed away. She is such an integral part of the book.
It also gives an inside look into the world of high fashion and modeling. A romance doesn’t always delve into dark issues, but this one does. So much of our society glamourizes the fashion industry and the models, yet so many of these beautiful women and men aren’t seen for their more important qualities, just their looks and how many clothes or magazines they can sell. They are real people, not objects. What makes the book so amazing is that it is based on true events, and it deals with a very important issue that the authors deal with in a very sensitive way! It was a book I devoured, and it is one that will stay with me long after I finished the last page. I hope it will serve as a warning and change the way we see the modeling industry. While there was darkness, the authors also gave us a ray of light and hope. In my opinion, those are the best books to read!!!!!
I had no idea what to expect with this one but I am a fan of RVD so was super excited to read this and this talented duo really outdid themselves with this one.
This one delves into the secret world of the fashion industry and tells the tale of four best friends who are fashion models. This book tells the highs and lows of being part of this ‘Beautiful’ industry.
I felt so many feels with this one, excitement, anger, laughter, sadness and happiness. The authors did an amazing job with the flow of the storyline and the characters. They obviously work so well and closely together as I have no idea who wrote what bit.
This was a great tale of friendship and survival. Well Done ladies
Fashion Jungle by Kathy Ireland & Rachel Van Dyken is absolutely phenomenal.
This book was so much more than I ever expected and I’m so grateful these two incredible women collaborated to bring these characters into the world.
What an nine chilling storyline, that will keep you and your toes, and have you second guessing everything you think you know.
This is the must read of 2020!!!
I love everyone of these strong women portrayed in this book and the men who get them.
“I love the only way a person should love. With every part of me that’s tethered to this universe.”
“Because secrets are our currency in this jungle …”
