An excellent book by Roxy Reid
Will she get revenge or find love again
Famously First is a well written second chance romance between Finn and Charlie. Finn, a rockstar, and Charlie, a photographer, were high school sweethearts and she used to help him write songs. But he suddenly dumped her and went on to become a rockstar. It is now ten years later and Charlie accepts a job as a photographer for Finn as she is struggling to pay the bills. But she is also angling on how to exact a bit of revenge of her own along with having the payday from the job.
But what happens when Charlie and Finn reconnect? Will it be real for both of them and if so then will they be able to trust again and move on?
There were a few things in this story that I did not completely connect with and at times that was Finn. But the sparks between the two of them are definitely real and their history adds a nice grounding to the story-line. I enjoyed reading Famously First and would recommend it to others.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
First, Last and Always Love
Ten years ago, Finn Ryan owned Charlie De Luca’s heart when after years of friendship that morphed into first everything; then, he dropped her, breaking her heart. Charlie picked up the pieces and went on with life—graduating from high school and college and beginning her dream career of photojournalism. Now, Charlie is offered the chance to reconnect with Finn photographing his second tour, and secretly, using the gig as the chance to appease her broken heart by digging up dirt on the successful singer-songwriter, revealing him as the jerk who dumped her.
But unknowingly, the dirt she seeks to reveal is really about her—yes, Finn “dumped” her, but at her parents’ insistence; he launched his career based on the songs that she had inspired during their youthful love affair, and he is about to be exposed to the world as a fraudulent composer who has nothing to say in his songs. He has not been able to compose solo since breaking away from her, breaking not just her heart, but also his own.
Now, Finn needs to compose, but he needs inspiration. His second album was awkwardly and unhappily created with the input of Zane, a man whom he despises and fired for being more than difficult to work with—he is an aggressive bully. Zane will agree to be Finn’s composing partner, but the cost will be Finn’s heart and integrity. What Finn really wants is time with Charlie—his true inspiration.
Roxy Reid crafts intelligent, engaging characters with strong chemistry, history, and heart. Allowing second chances to reconnect in a HEA is the stuff of dreams. Famously First is novel to read and savor.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review ARCS, but I enjoyed the reading experience so much that I bought a copy for my “read-again” titles.

This was a great lovers to enemies to lovers again romance. You know what they say, a first love is a forever love. I really enjoyed this book and found it hard to put down. Well written with likable characters and an engaging read. Emotional, steamy and full of drama. No cliffhanger and a HEA. I read an arc copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.
